Orion and Pleiades

In the quoted scriptures below, I have made some additional thoughts in parenthesis, derived directly from the Hebrew interlinear.

Job 9:"8 He alone spreads out the heavens (Isa. 40:22; 42:5; 44:24; 66:1),
And treads on the waves of the sea; (Isa. 57:20; Job 38:8-9,10-11; Ps. 65:7; James 4:6; Matt. 14:22-23,24-25,26-27; Mark 4:35-39)
(Ps. 2:1-3,4-5; Rev. 11:18; Jer. 25:31; Isa. 24:21-22)
9 He made the
   Bear [lit. Osh (save)],
Orion [Kesel (A deep trust and confidence that inspires hope and resilience,
even in the face of uncertainty)]
and the Pleiades [Kimah (cluster of stars/known as the 7 sisters) (Rev. 17:5,9)
And the chambers <(secret source) of the south" (Job 37:9; Isa. 21:1,2-3)
Note: the "whirlwind" of the South is the driving spirit and connects to "chambers" (Job 9:9 above).

Job 38: "4 Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.
5 Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know!
Or who stretched the measuring line upon it? (Zech. 2:1-2; 1:16; Isa. 28:17; Rev. 11:1; 21:15)
6 To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone, (Rev. 21:14; Eph. 2:20-22; Matt.7:24-25)
7 When the morning stars sang together, (Phil. 2:15; Dan. 12:3)
    (Jude 1:13; Rev. 8:10-11; 12:4; Matt. 24:29; Isa. 13:10
And all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Gal. 3:26; John 1:12-13)

30 The waters harden like stone (and hide themselves),
And the surface (opening/door) of the abyss is frozen [Imprisoned/locked].
31 “Can you bind the (sweet influences/luxuries) of the Pleiades [seven stars/daughters]?,
Or (attractions of Orion, are you unloosing?) loose the belt of Orion? (Eph. 6:14; Isa.11:1-2,3-4,5; Dan. 10:4-5,6,14)
32 Can you bring out Mazzaroth (12 constellations) in its season? (Acts 1:7) Or can you guide [female Bear with sons that need divine guidance]
the Great Bear with its cubs?
33 Do you know the ordinances (statutes) of the heavens?
Can you set their dominion over the earth?"

Amos 5:
"1 Hear this word which I take up against you, a lamentation, O house of Israel:
 2 The virgin of Israel has fallen;
She will rise no more.
She lies forsaken (abandoned) on her land;
There is no one to raise her up.
3 For thus says the Lord God:
“The city that goes out by a thousand
Shall have a hundred left,
And that which goes out by a hundred
Shall have ten left to the house of Israel.”
4 For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me and live;
5 But do not seek Bethel (house of God),
Nor enter Gilgal (removed),
Nor pass over to Beersheba (well of 7/well of the oath);
For Gilgal shall surely go into captivity (deported),
And Bethel shall come to nothing (come to lawlessness).
6 Seek the Lord and live,
Lest He break out like fire in the house of Joseph,
And devour it,
With no one to quench it in Bethel—
7 You who turn to wormwood,
And lay justice and righteousness to rest in the earth!”
 8 He made the Pleiades and Orion;
He turns the shadow of death into morning
And makes the day dark as night;
He calls for the waters of the sea
And pours them out on the face of the earth;
(Rev. 20:13;  2Pet. 3:10)
The Lord is His name.
9 He [flashes forth destruction] rains ruin upon the strong (gladness over devastation),
So that fury comes upon the fortress."

In the verses above we learn some things about the star groups, Orion and Pleiades.
It is also helpful to look at the context of their mention.
In the context of Job 9:8-9 we see God's Word makes a contrast between the heavens of His dwelling, and the Sea which symbolizes the realm of darkness and evil, and those who belong to that realm. Also mentioned is the chamber of the South. A chamber is usually a private, inner room (Matt. 24:26).

At Job 38:30-31, The luxuries of Pleiades seem associated with the realm of deception and being locked there. It speaks of Orion's supportive warrior's belt being set fast and firm, unmovable by man (Eph. 6:14;  1Cor.15:58).
Job 38:32-33 make reference to the seasons and timing when various star clusters are seen in the sky. The Great Bear and her sons are mentioned as receiving guidance that cannot come from men. The very next verse mentions the ordinances of heaven, which are rules of guidance. God's statutes have dominion over the earth, from the heavens.

Amos 5:1,2,3 speaks of the desolation of the house of Israel, and the small number of the remnant.
Amos 5:4-5,6-7 shows us the reason for this sweeping desolation. The cities which the populace depend upon are in moral ruin. Only God can be a source of salvation. He warns against turning away from Him. It is made clear, that the house of God (Bethel) who rely on wormwood, cause justice and righteousness to perish.
Amos 5:8 makes contrasts.
Orion and Pleiades are first compared... then the work of God to turn light into dark, and dark into light
(Luke 8:18; Isa.59:10-11; Matt.6:22-23; James 1:5; Rev. 2:7; 22:17).
Then God takes the waters of the dark sea, and pours them out on the face of the earth. All that it contains is then seen and judged. The weak and humble are raised up and the proud and prominent are brought low.

When are the Enemies of Jesus, Subdued Beneath his Feet? [] Four Watchmen

Questions received:
1. Can you please add more understanding to 1 Corinthians 15:25?
There it says that Jesus reigns until all his enemies are subject to him. Yet you teach that his 'thousand year' kingdom has already ended. Yet we see that all his enemies are not yet made powerless, removed, and gone.
2. When are all Jesus' enemies conquered and made subject to him?
3. What caused Jesus' thousand year kingdom to end?
4. Why would anyone want to let Satan out of the Abyss?
5. Who was responsible for that, and why?
Thanks. Obadiah.

My reply:
Well, we've got lots of ground to cover. :)
I'll respond to each of your questions, by number.
1.)
To begin, it may help to consider a detail of the verse that follows 1Cor.15:25, and that is, 1Cor.15:26.
You may note that all the initial enemies of Jesus, are lumped together in verse 25. But in verse 26, the conquering of "Death" is mentioned separately, and as occurring after the previous enemies.

That fact is consistent with the depiction of the enemies of Jesus, contained in the book of Revelation.
At Rev.6:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, we see the 4 living creatures. They are the 4 anointed watchmen of the night
[Isa.21:6,8,9,10,11,12 (<Dan.8:13,14); Rev.2:28; Eze.3:16,17; 33:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9; Isa.62:6; Rev.4:6-8; Isa.62:6; Mark 13:34 NIV ; Luke 21:36].
These watchmen are special prophets (Hosea 9:8; Matt.11:7,9,10; 17:10,12,13,11)
(Mal.4:5; Luke 1:17; Mal.3:1,2,3; Dan.8:14; Eze.14:4,5,21,22; Rev.6:7,8; Luke 19:41,42,43,44; 21:20,21,22,23,24; Matt.24:42,29; Joel 2:31; Amos 5:18; Rom.13:12; Rev.2:28,29).
Their assignment is to remain awake spiritually, and sound a warning when God's nation is threatened by an encroaching enemy.
My reason for explaining the 4 watchmen/living creatures, is that at Rev.6:7-8 we see there depicted, that last enemy, Death (1Cor.15:26)
and we see that it arises in the time of the 4th and last Watchman.
The previous enemies (as stated at 1Cor.15:25) arise previous to the time of the 4th Watchman.
You may also note that in the time of Death's attack; there are simultaneously, all 4 plagues released against God's nation... Sword, famine, plague, and wild beasts (Rev.6:8). God allows the release of this curse, due to His nation's gross unfaithfulness,
just as noted in Eze.14:21,5 cited above.
That greatest time of trouble and adversity, is the Great Tribulation. It occurs during the era of the 4th watchman, when Death yet needs to be conquered.

Now to get back to a further opening of 1Cor.15:25;
we may assume that this verse is asserting that Jesus' reign must be continual, in order for all his enemies to be subdued. It is more accurately understood as saying, that in order for all enemies to be subjugated... he must be reigning. Is there a difference?
Yes.
Please be patient while I use an illustration to portray this truth.
A carpenter is working on a project and is using electric power tools. That project consists of 4 major tasks. We may assume that in order for his job to be finished, he works non-stop with no interruptions. But now imagine that after he completes three of the tasks, he loses electric power due to an outage. During that outage, he cannot make progress, because his tools are not working. During that interim, he is not functioning as a carpenter.
When power is restored; he resumes his work through his power tools, and completes the last of the 4 tasks. He must be working, if he wishes to finish the entire project.
Similarly,
When 1Cor.15:25 states that Jesus must be reigning in order to subdue his enemies, that does not necessarily infer that there is no interruption in his reign, between his subduing his enemies previous to Death, and his subduing the last enemy, Death (1Cor.15:26).

I do hope that at this point, you can see that there is no contradiction between 1Cor.15:25 and this blog's teaching, which asserts that the symbolic thousand year reign of Christ, ends before the conquering of the last enemy Death.
For those of you readers who are not familiar with that timetable; I suggest reading this post
plus the first few posts that can be found in the search result at this link:
If you do not find what you require, please contact me.

So to respond to your first two questions;
Jesus must be reigning over his living anointed slaves...
(through which he battles as they conquer the world as individuals -Ps.110:1,2; Rev.17:14; Eph.2:6; Rev.19:14;  2Cor.10:3-5)
...in order to make progress against his enemies. That corresponds to a carpenter needing his tools to be working, in order to finish his project.
Prophecy indicates that just as with an electric outage that disrupts the usefulness of a carpenter's tools and stops his progress;
Jesus' reign over his anointed temple priesthood, is interrupted
(Dan.8:11,12; 7:25; 9:26,27; 11:31; Mark 13:14; Luke 21:20,24).
Satan's victory over the anointed remnant (when he is released from the abyss), marks the end of Jesus' 'thousand year' reign over his living Body members (Rev.20:7)... interrupting the progress of subjugating his enemies, through them. That occurs during the Great Tribulation and trampling of the anointed remnant, by the Gentiles.
It is also the period when the Gentile anti-Christ/man of lawlessness, is enthroned above God's Temple (2Thess.2:3-4; Mark 13:14) (1Cor.3:16; Eph.2:20,21,22;  1Pet. 2:5), which ends the daily sacrifices of that Temple priesthood, in their service to Christ. That is an interruption of Christ's reign over his living congregation, and ends his uninterrupted 1,000 year reign.
The last enemy Death is not conquered, until the remnant seed (also mentioned separately -Rev.12:17;  1Cor.15:23-24) of the woman covenant, conquers that last enemy to be unleashed by Satan. (Rev.20:7-8,10,14). The attack by the last enemy Death, is unleashed after Satan is liberated from the chains of the abyss. That last enemy Death is conquered, during Armageddon.

Here is an excerpt from the post: "WHY MUST SATAN BE RELEASED FROM THE ABYSS?"

"Upon Satan's release, he goes off to wage war with the remnant of the woman's seed (Rev.20:7,8; 12:17)
Satan's agents (Rev.16:13,14,15,16; 13:11;  2Thess.2:9,10,11,12;  1Tim.4:1) are successful against the saints
[Rev.13:7; Dan.7:25; 11:36; (2Thess.2:4); Dan.8:12,13; Rev.11:2; Matt.5:13; 24:24,25]

Through an alliance with a fallen star/false prophet (Rev.8:10,11; 9:1,2,3; 13:11; 19:20)
Satan is released, and brings with himself a flood of his agents of deception, both spirit and human
(Eph.2:2;  2Tim.3:13;  2Cor.4:4;  2Cor.11:13,14,15; Matt.24:24,25;  1Tim.4:1)... who successfully alienate the saints, from Christ...
resulting in the remnant of the saints, being taken captive to deception and death
(Hosea 4:6a; John 17:3; 6:63; Eph.2:12; 4:18; Col.2:19; John 15:16).
(Rev.12:15; Col.2:8; Rev.13:10; Dan.11:33; Luke 21:24,20; Rev.20:9a).

Satan employs the dark powers of his abyss/Hades, and through his alliance with "Wormwood", releases the agents of the Abyss, upon the remnant... resulting in the captivity and spiritual death of the remnant.

When the Chosen elect then alive, become enslaved to Satan... Is Jesus still their ruling king?
Is Jesus still the Head over his Body and Temple?
No.
At the time that God's Temple is overcome and trampled by the Gentile "man of lawlessness" (2Thess.2:3,4; Dan.11:36,37,38,39)... the "abomination of desolation"... the "disgusting thing, standing where it does not belong" (Mark 13:14;  1Cor.3:16,17), Satan becomes ruler over the remnant. The "thousand year" kingdom of Jesus Christ over his living saints, ends.
-  -  -  -  -  -  -

The period of time that we are presently in, encompasses the Great Tribulation and Armageddon.
This is the period which the Bible refers to as Satan's "short period of time" (Mark 13:20; Rev.12:12; 20:3; Matt.24:22,32,33; Luke 21:28).
Satan's victory over the anointed during the Great Tribulation, ends during Armageddon. The Great Tribulation and Armageddon are the interim between the end of the symbolic Thousand Year kingdom of Christ, and the start of God's eternal Kingdom.

QUESTION 2. When are all Jesus' enemies conquered and made subject to him?

The messenger of the covenant mentioned above (the 4th living creature/4th watchman), turns the hearts of God's sons, back to God
This causes the restoration and function of God's spiritual temple and priesthood, when their being trampled, ends
(Mal.3:1,2,3; Dan.7:25; 8:11,12,13,14; Rev.11:2,3).
Just as electrical service resumes for the carpenter's tools; the servants of Christ and members of Zion are once again found faithfully exposing the falsehoods that took them captive and made them subject to Death (Ps.110:2;  2Cor.10:4,5; Eph.6:11,12; 5:11; Mal.2:7; Rev.5:10)
(Rev.3:1,11; James 1:12; Luke 12:39; John 10:10; Heb.2:14; Rev.13:2,7,10; Col.2:8 NIV ).
Christ is then again, reigning over his anointed congregation, and finishing the conquering of his enemies, including Death. As 1Cor.15:24,25,26,27,28 explains, the last of Christ's enemies are subdued by the remaining members of Zion...
       (Rev.12:11; 3:9;  1John 5:4; Rev.2:26,27; 3:21; Dan.7:25,21,22,26,27; Rev.15:2),
...after which, Jesus gives their accomplishment over to God. The eternal reign of all the faithful in the kingdom of God, then commences.

*  *  *  *  *  *  *
QUESTION 3. What caused Jesus' thousand year kingdom to end?

Rev.20:7 states plainly, the reason why Jesus loses his authority, power and control over his temple priests. Satan's release brings with it, a sweeping power of deceptive darkness, which overtakes the remnant of anointed
(Rev.9:1,2,3; Joel 2:1,2; Isa.59:10; Rev.8:12; Isa.60:2;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13,14,15,16;
1Kings 22:21,22,23;
  Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8 NIV ; Dan.8:12; Matt.24:5,24,25,22)
Satan's is then able to mislead the previously enlightened nations belonging to God (1Pet.2:9,10; Rev.20:3;  1John 5:19; Matt.16:18),
during the Great Tribulation (Dan.8:11,12,24; Col.2:19; John 15:5,6).

QUESTION 4. Why would anyone want to let Satan out of the Abyss?

The first thing to keep in mind is that Revelation is written in symbolism. Jesus has bound Satan in order to prevent his ability to mislead Christ's anointed priests
(Mark 3:27; Rev.20:3; Luke 10:17,18,19;  1John 2:20).

Neither the chains nor the abyss, are literal or physical.
If Satan is enabled to gain his power to deceive the anointed, that would be symbolically depicted as his release from that previous constraint.
To understand Why Satan is released, we must first understand How Satan is released.
In order for Satan to be able to mislead the saints, the saints must be apt to be guided and nurtured by an agent of Satanic and demonic deception. Such false prophets are a reality
2Cor.11:3,4,5,12,13,14,15;  2Tim.3:13; Matt.24:24,25;  1Cor.10:21;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.2:20; 16:13,14; 19:20; 13:14,7,10; Col.2:8 NIV

If a genuine steward appointed by Christ (Luke 12:42) becomes unfaithful, he will not be providing the proper food (fine fruit/the truth) at the proper time (when needed). Those eating from that leader's table, are not receiving the truth
(Isa.28:7,8,15; 42:22; 49:24,25; Mark 3:27; Rev.20:2; Luke 10:19; Matt.16:18).
Why might such a steward, compromise to teach demonic lies, rather than the truths of Jesus?
Anointed ones have free will, and those still immature are not immune to being corrupted by worldly desire.
They are warned to reject the enticements of Satan's world
(Num.15:39;  1John 2:15-17; James 4:4; John 18:36).

Jesus said that the faithful would be required to walk the path he walked (1Pet.2:21;  1John2:6; Luke 22:28,29),
despite Satanic testing (Luke 22:31;  1Pet.5:8).
The path of Jesus, started out with Satanic temptation (Luke 4:5,6; Matt.4:8,9,10).
What did the Satanic test at Luke 4:5,6 consist of?
Satan offered Jesus worldly blessing and power, in exchange for subjection.
When the anointed follow in the footsteps of Jesus, they also are offered this enticement.
The wicked steward, fails that test.
He accepts the powers, riches, prominence, and authority offered by this world (Rev.18:3,7,11,12,13,14,15,16,17). But... they must also pay Satan's price. That one must become a servant of Satanic interests.... primary of which, is the enslavement of the saints who are under the guardianship of that wicked steward
(Gal.4:1,2,3,8,9; Rom.6:16; Gal.1:10;  1Cor.7:23).

Even if such a pawn of Satan is unaware of his role in misleading God's elect; there will be times when that leader will knowingly compromise the truth, in favor of retaining his worldly position of prominence, authority, riches, and power (Mark 10:42,43,44,45;  1Pet.5:3;  2Cor.1:24). He will go so far as to "beat his fellow slaves" in order to prevent them from exposing the wicked slave's unfaithfulness (Luke 12:45; Isa.28:7,8).
We saw a clear example of this type of leadership, in the first century
(John 11:47,48; 9:22; 8:13,23,37,40,43,47; Matt.23:2,4,5,6,7,25,28,30,31,32,34,35; Rev.18:24).

Such leaders turn away from God's protection and care, to garner the power of those outside God's spiritual nation (John 19:10,11,12,15; Jer.17:5). God considers this type of alliance, spiritual fornication (Eze.23:35; Isa.36:6)

It is not as if the wicked steward is consciously aware that while teaching false doctrine to those in their charge, that they are releasing Satan's power to deceive. But when an anointed steward fails the test of worldly enticement and accepts the luxuries and power that only the world can afford them, there is a price to pay. Worldly position among false religious leaders, must be guarded and preserved in order to be retained. Misleading others always becomes necessary. By doing so, that compromising leader, unwittingly enters into a covenant with the Deceiver.
These precise events are depicted for us in prophecy, Bible history, and the book of Revelation...

Faithful anointed stewards/true prophets, are depicted as sources of light (John 5:35; Phil.2:15; Matt.5:15; Rev.1:20; Dan.12:3).
At Rev.8:10,11, we see one of them "fall" from that approved position (2Pet.3:17;  1Cor.10:12; Rev.2:5).
At Rev.9:1 we see what the king of the Abyss gives that fallen one, in exchange for that compromise Rev.9:11 NIV ; Isa.33:1 NIV
It is a key, which represents the ability to open (or shut) a realm/authority/power (Isa.22:22).
The realm which the fallen star opens, is the abyss (Rev.9:2).
The deep, dark abyss represents Satan's power to deceive.
Those who reside in that spiritual pit, are deceived and veiled from seeing God's light
(2Cor.4:4; Isa.5:20; Luke 11:35;  1John 4:1;  2Cor.13:5; Matt.24:24,25).

Every powerful lying sign and portent is made available to the fallen star/false prophet, Wormwood... along with her receiving the power of Satan's supportive beast, comprised of Gentiles (Rev.13:1,2,11,12,14,15; 16:13; 19:20; 17:3,15; 18:3,7,20,24; 19:2). In exchange, Wormwood opens the abyss, releasing Satan, which symbolizes his power to deceive the saints. That is symbolically depicted for us, as Satan's release from the abyss.

Hopefully you are able to perceive the answer to you question; "Why would anyone want to let Satan out of the abyss?".
When a genuine anointed steward of Jesus Christ is willing to compromise truth in order to garner and maintain worldly power, that one unwittingly enters a covenant with Satan, and fails the temptation of Luke 4:5,6. It is not that they consciously want to release Satan's power to deceive those under their care. That is simply the consequence of their unfaithfulness.

QUESTION 5. Who was responsible for that, and why?
As explained,
a genuine anointed steward who compromises the truth of Christ in order to preserve their worldly power,
is responsible for unleashing the power of Satanic deception onto those who follow that prophet.
There is much more to learn about, when considering all the surrounding prophecies about these events and identities. I do hope you will make good use of the search box, and use the contact box for anything you have difficulty finding.

Who Eats the Little Scroll?

 Still editing

QUESTION RECEIVED:
    (translated from Italian)
"Who is in the apocalypse eating the booklet?"

MY REPLY:
Eating a scroll, symbolizes that we are learning information.
When a scroll is shut and sealed, we cannot learn it (Isa.29:10-11).
When information is opened to us, we have gained understanding of the information
(Rev.4:1; 3:7; Matt.13:11; Luke 24:32 NKJV ).
-
If you read in Revelation 10:7-9,10-11, it reads;
"7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.
8 Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.”
9 So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.”
And he said to me, “Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”
10 Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.
11 And he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”

Please take notice of these things:
In verse 7: (Rev.10:7)
The seventh angel is the one to declare the last of God's mysteries. He is able to do that, because God's spirit declared that information to him, because he is a prophet (Amos 3:7).
In verse 8: (Rev.10:8)
The seventh angel has the scroll opened, in his hand. The seventh angel knows what is in the scroll. As verse 7 indicates; God's mysteries in the scroll were "accomplished" as the seventh angel goes about "sounding". That angel is declaring, what he has been given to understand (Jer.31:33; Luke 6:45; Rev.10:7).
In verse 9: (Rev.10:9)
The angel gives the scroll to the apostle John. He tells John that the scroll will taste sweet, but it will give John a belly ache. How does the angel know about the taste of the scroll? Because he was the first of the two, to eat it. Eating a scroll means that we have taken in the information. That is why the scroll is open in the hand of the seventh angel. He understands the contents, because he has already ingested it himself.
In verse 10: (Rev.10:10)
John takes the scroll from the angel and eats it. The scroll also tastes sweet to John, but it also makes his belly, turn bitter.
In verse 11: (Rev.10:11)
After the apostle John consumes the information contained in the little scroll; he is told to prophesy again about people. "Prophesy AGAIN", means that he has already prophesied about them. He did that in Revelation, chapters 1-3, when he gave a message from Jesus, to the 7 congregations.

Now that John knows the information in the little scroll, he must say more about Christ's congregation.
John must declare the dangers, expose what they are guilty of, and exhort them to repent. He describes in symbolism, what they need to do to stand successfully before the judgment seat of Christ (2Cor.5:10; John 12:48-49; 14:6).
As John's declaration of Revelation draws to completion;
those who have faithfully obeyed Christ's counsel to his congregations, and those who have rebelliously disobeyed,
will be made plain (Mal.3:18; Rom.8:19)
(2Thess.2:3,6,8; Rev.17:8;  2Pet.3:10; Jer.13:26; Rev.16:15; 17:16).
That exposure, will be manifested throughout the spiritual battle of Armageddon. Each anointed one will have clearly taken a side in that battle.

On one side,
there will be those who have become agents of Satan's demonic deceptions...
(2Thess.2:8-10,11-12;  1Kings 22:21-23; Rev.13:11; 16:13-16; 19:19;  1Tim.4:1) (Rev.12:17; 20:7-8)
...and those who follow and serve those agents (Eze.14:10; Rev.2:20; 17:1-2; 13:7,11,14-16,8).

On the other side,
there will be Jesus Christ, and his faithful messengers ("angels") of truth.
(Rev.3:14; 19:11,14; 17:14; Eph.2:6; Rev.3:21; John 18:37; Rev.1:16; 2:16; Heb.4:12)
(2Cor.10:3-5; 6:7-9; Eph.6:10-11,12,13,14-15,16-17)

The experience of sweet - turned bitter teachings, comes from taking in doctrine, sourced from a harlot
(Rev.10:10; Prov.5:3-4; Rev.8:10-11; 17:1-2) and then awakening to the reality that what you came to believe, is demonic deception.
Both the seventh angel and the apostle John have revealed to them, this great End-time apostasy...
cloaked in the disguise as being truths from God (Ps.119:103; Rev.10:10).
Due to believing that the harlot is a source of God's truths (honey);
the anointed are led by that harlot, into sin
(Matt.24:24-25; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24);
(Revelation 17:1-2; 2:20) (2Cor.11:4,20,2-3,12-15).

Christ's entire, end-time congregation, falls into apostasy (Dan.8:11-13,17-19,24-25; 11:16,31-33; Mark 13:14) due to the Wormwood waters of the fallen star/wicked steward/false prophet/unfaithful harlot (Jer.23:15; Rev.8:11).
Disclosure of all that information, has been learned by the seventh angel, from Christ (Rev.1:1; 22:6,10) and then the seventh angel in vision, gives it to John.
John must prophesy about it, and he does. That prophecy is in the book of Revelation.

To summarize the answer to your question; both the seventh angel and the apostle John, ate the little scroll.

Why Must Satan be Released from the Abyss?

Rev.20:1-2,7 read; "And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient snake, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations any more until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time."

Why is it that Satan's release, is when the "thousand year" kingdom of Jesus Christ, ends?

The "thousand year" kingdom of Jesus, is while he reigns over his anointed congregation
(Eph.1:22; Col.1:18) as he gathers together those proving faithful, to gather an administration for God's eternal Kingdom
(Luke 16:10; Matt.25:19,21; 3:12; Eph.1:10-12; Dan.7:13-14,18,23-24,25-26,27; 2:44).

Upon Satan's release, he goes off to wage war with the remnant of the woman's seed (Rev.20:7-8; 12:17).
Satan's agents (Rev.16:13-14; 13:11;  2Thess.2:9-10,11-12;  1Tim.4:1) are successful against the saints
[Rev.13:7; Dan.7:25; 11:36 (2Thess.2:4); Dan.8:12-13; Rev.11:2; Matt.5:13; 24:24-25].
Through an alliance with a fallen star/false prophet (Rev.8:10-11; 9:1-3; 13:11; 19:20);
Satan is released, and brings with himself a flood of his agents of deception, both spirit and human
(Eph.2:2;  2Tim.3:13;  2Cor.4:4;  2Cor.11:13-14,15; Matt.24:24-25;  1Tim.4:1)... who successfully alienate the saints, from Christ...
resulting in the remnant of the saints, being taken captive to deception and death
(Hosea 4:6a; John 17:3; 6:63; Eph.2:12; 4:18; Col.2:19; John 15:6).

No. At the time that God's Temple is overcome and trampled by the Gentile "man of lawlessness" (2Thess.2:3-4; Dan.11:36-37,38-39)... the "abomination of desolation"... the "disgusting thing, standing where it does not belong" (Mark 13:14) (1Cor.3:16-17), Satan becomes ruler over the remnant. The "thousand year" kingdom of Jesus Christ over his living saints, ends.

*  *  *  *  *  *  *

During this period of Great Tribulation/testing/sifting; Satan's sayings of deception will battle with the truths of Christ, within the hearts of men
(Rev.12:7; 16:13-16; 17:14; 19:19;  2Cor.10:3-5; 6:7; Eph.5:11)
(Luke 8:8-10,11-13,14-15; James 1:21).
Each will be sorted according to which teachings they prefer
(1Tim.4:1;  2Tim.4:3;  1John 4:1;  1Thess.5:21;  2Thess.2:9-12; Joel 3:14; John 13:20; Matt.10:40-41,14-15,24-25; 24:31,28; Rev.19:9; Matt.22:10),
and the resulting harvest of the earth and its vineyard, will conclude (Rev.14:14-16,17-19; 22:11).

Why must, the spiritual confusion that results from Satan's release, run amok?
(Matt.18:7; 24:24-25,6;  1Cor.11:19; Mal.3:18; Rom.8:18-19; Matt.13:43)
That period is said to be, "short" (Rev.20:3; 12:12; Matt.24:22).

Why must Satan be released?
Before God's kingdom commences; all His enemies must be subdued through Jesus and Zion
(Ps.110:1-2; Rev.2:26-27; 3:21;  1Cor.15:24-25,26).

Establishing those condemned to that consignment as conquered, entails a judgment. As men are judged through the opened understanding of the teachings of Christ
(John 12:48-49; Acts 17:31; Rev.22:10; 20:12); the harvest of the faithful, is concluded.

This short period of time during which the Great Tribulation and Armageddon take place, is called Judgment Day. During it, the un-sealed saints, undergo affliction...
(Isa.48:10; Zech.13:9; Rev.8:7-9,10-12; 9:2-3; Eze.2:6; Rev.9:15,18; 12:4)
...by means of Satan's released agents.

The works of those tested will either be refined, or burned up
(1Cor.3:13-14;  2Pet.3:7,14; Luke 21:34-35,36).

During that great test, those willing to follow the full course of Christ, will surrender their souls for the sake of the Truth
(Rev.13:15; 11:7; Mark 8:35; Rev.12:10-11; Rom.6:5) and then receive their "white robe" (Rev.6:9-10,11; 19:8).

But Satan and his agents also, face this time of Judgment.
See where, in a spiritual sense, the Bible tells us, that takes place...

2Pet.2: "4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment".
Jude ch1: "6 And the angels who did not keep their own proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day".

Does this judgment of Satan and his cohorts, take place while they are still in the abyss? No. Those who occupy the realm of spiritual blindness and death, must come forth from there, to appear before the Judgment seat of God (Jude 1:6;  2Pet.2:4)
(Rev.20:13,10,14) (Rom.14:12;  2Cor.5:10; Dan.7:9-10,11,13-14,18,22).
A description of this "Day" is given,
as is the method through which each one is examined
(2Cor.5:10; Rom.2:6; Acts 17:31; John 12:48-49; Rev.20:12).

Satan too, must appear before the judgment seat of God. God's throne does not enter the realm of darkness and death to sentence the Devil and his demons.
As Hab.ch.1:12-13a reads;
"12 Are You not from everlasting, O LORD, my God, my Holy One? We will not die. O LORD, You have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, You have established them for correction. 13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness."

The Devil, his demons, and the rest of those consigned to death... must "come out" of the demonic realm of deception and death, to appear before God and Christ (Rev.20:7; John 5:28-29).
Satan must be let loose for a short period of time, because it is Judgment Day.

In addition,
Satan's release brings with it his final and greatest Magnum Opus... the Greatest Tribulation (Matt.24:21; Rev.7:14; Dan.12:1-2,8-9)... his last attempt to continue his reign over creation.
This will result in him finally being condemned as the father of deception, destruction, corruption, and death
(John 8:44; Heb.2:14;  1John 5:19; Eph.2:2). (who-is-destroyer.html

Yet it is not God or Christ who release Satan from the Abyss. The purpose of this post is to present, why God allows Satan's release.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

In previous programs, we covered the symbolic nature of the so-called, "thousand years" of Jesus' reign. We also covered, when Jesus reign of the symbolic "thousand years", began, and established that it started in the first century.
"Thousand Year" reign, When?
Matt.16:28; Luke 22:69; Ps.110:1;  1Cor.15:25
He is seated on a cloud, as if on a throne, because he is a king over other kings that comprise that cloud, as head of his bride congregation (Col.1:16-17,18).

We learned that Jesus' coming on the clouds, is defined for us in the Bible:
Coming on clouds:
Heb.12:1; John 1:51; Mark 12:25; Eph.2:6; Matt.10:40,14

Jesus' throne/reign is over his Bride congregation/Zion because he is "king of kings" (Rev.5:10; 19:16).
The scepter of his rule, is THROUGH Zion/cloud-witnesses of heaven
Ps.110:1-2;  2Cor.10:3-4,5; Eph.6:10-11,12-13;  2Cor.6:7; Rev.17:14; 12:10-11

The symbolic throne of Jesus regal power and authority, is glorious (Matt.25:31).
That glorious authority and power is not seen physically, because his glory is grace and truth (John 1:14), above which he is seated (Rev.22:1).
Those who overcome the dark deceptions of Satan...
  (Eph.6:12;  1John 5:4; 2:14; Rom.13:12; Isa.54:17; Luke 21:15; Eph.5:8;  1Pet.2:9),
...by upholding Gods' truths to the death (Mark 8:35; Rom.6:5; Rev.6:9-10,11; 12:9,11),
...are also granted the same power and authority over grace and truth (Rev.3:21; Luke 10:19) as kings.   They extend the ruling scepter of Jesus' throne/grace and truth, through Zion, just as Ps.110:2 states... thereby assisting Jesus in conquering his enemies and making them a footstool for his feet (Ps.110:1-2;  1Cor.15:25) by the power God supplies (Eph.6:11,13; Rom.14:4; 16:20).

Since the symbolic reign of Jesus began in the first century...
when and why, does his reign come to an end? How do the scriptures help us to recognize the end of Jesus' "thousand year" kingdom? What would cause the power and authority of Jesus and Zion, to conclude?
  Since Jesus reign is expressed through Zion (Ps.110:2; Rev.14:1;  2Cor.5:20; John 13:20);
...Could that reign continue, if the present members of Zion became conquered by a different power and authority? (2Cor.11:2-3,4-5,20,12-13,14-15;  1Tim.4:1)

What if the headship of Jesus over God's Temple (1Cor.3:16; Eph.2:20-21,22;  1Pet.2:5,9-10),
were taken away from Jesus, and his subjects, taken captive by his enemy?
Rev.13:7,10; Luke 21:24; Dan.8:11-12,24; 11:31,21;  2Thess.2:4;  1Cor.3:16; Rev.11:2; Matt.5:13;  2Chron.13:5;  2Cor.11:20; Col.2:8; Rev.13:10,7; Rev.13:16; Deut.11:18

God's Word introduces us to the thousand years, in Rev.20, as well as the reasons why, the reign of Jesus, effectually ends.
Prophecy has much to say about the end of Jesus "thousand year" reign. As we assemble the pieces of prophecy that relate to that period and its' circumstances, the picture emerges.

We are going to examine Rev.20:1-10, where the Bible depicts for us, the end of the thousand year reign of Jesus.

VERSE ONE: Rev.20:1

Establish that the abyss of Revelation, and Hades, are two ways of describing, the same place.
Rom.10:7; Acts 2:24,27,31; Rev.1:18
(Previous program covered "Hades")(Suggest Blog search: Sheol Hades)
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2017/04/what-is-sheole-hades.html
--
Hades when translated, means "not perceiving" (e.g. Mark 4:12).
As covered in previous posts and audio program, it is the consignment of all those born under sin, and its meaning is to be under a blanket of spiritual darkness, ignorance, and confusion. Only those granted light, truth, and understanding, are figuratively rescued from the realm of Hades.

When Jesus tells us that he has the keys to Hades/Abyss... this means that he has the power and authority to release whom he chooses, from spiritual darkness... and transfer into his kingdom of light and life (Matt.16:17-18; Col.1:13; Luke 8:10; 4:18-21; Isa.49:9) those who are repentant (John 1:4; 5:40; Matt.13:14-15).

Jesus also has the authority and power to lock up others... or to leave them there, in ignorance and spiritual darkness (Rev.3:7-8; Matt.13:10-11,13-14,15-16; Jude 1:13; John 12:35) those hard-hearted who are not repentant. Such ones remain under the authority and power of the Devil (2Cor.4:4; John 3:18).

When Rev.20:1 tells us that the chain of restraint that Jesus possesses is "great"; this points to the ability of Jesus, to prevent understanding and perception among the blind, but proud (John 9:41). When Jesus wraps that symbolic chain around the Devil, and then casts the Devil into the Abyss/Hades... this depicts for us, Satan's blind inability to mislead those whom Jesus rescues from darkness... because it is now Satan who is overcome by the blind confusion of his own realm.

Jesus also shares his keys (power and authority) to release from the abyss (or bind in chains of ignorance) (Matt.16:19; 18:18). Christ's enlightened and anointed brothers and royal priests, may also judge as others as repentant (John 20:23) and worthy of the treasures of truth which they are empowered by Jesus, to impart (Matt.10:7,11-12,13-14; 7:6; Rev.5:10; Mal.2:7).
 [re-read Rev.20:1]

VERSE TWO Rev.20:2

Mark 3:27; Isa.49:24-25
Rev.13:10; Col.2:8; Matt.24:24-25; 19:26; Col.1:13;  1Thess.5:4-5;  2Cor.2:11
So, during the reign of Jesus, the 144,000 of Zion (Rev.14:1), are children and warrior kings, of Light
(2Cor.4:6; Eph.5:8;  1Thess.5:5; Matt.5:14-15,16)(Rom.13:12;  2Cor.6:7;  1Cor.10:3-4,5; Eph.6:12).
--
While the Devil is restrained in the dark abyss of Hades... he cannot perceive a method of overcoming the light within those who belong to Christ (Matt.16:18; John 1:5; Luke 10:19; Col.1:13) for the period during which, Jesus reigns over his congregations (Eph.4:14-15,16; John 15:5)... during the symbolic "thousand years". During Christ's kingdom, the royal priesthood under Christ have spiritual perception. They are not ignorant of Satan's manipulative devices (2Cor.2:11). They have been rescued from his realm (Luke 4:18; Isa.49:9,24-25; Mark 3:27; Luke 11:21-22; Rev.20:1-2,3).

Abyss-Hades ("not perceiving").
How were the "nations" mislead by Satan? Who are the nations who will no longer be mislead?
We know that the world of unbelievers are already blinded by Satan (2Cor.4:4; Eph.2:2) and the world is already under Satan's influence and power (1John 5:19). So the nations that Satan is not able to deceive anymore, are those belonging to Christ, just as the previous scriptures contained in our examination of Rev.20:1-2, confirm.
Those of faith are rescued from the dominion of darkness (Col.1:13;  1Pet.2:9), because the light of Christ shines in their hearts (2Cor.4:6) and the Devil is prevented from swallowing them down into darkness (2Cor.2:11;  1Pet.5:8-9).

Can the nations that are no longer deceived during Jesus "thousand years", also be at the same time, Christ's congregation? (See Rev.5:9-10; Rom.1:16; Matt.28:19)
Those of the nations that were rescued from Satanic deception, need not be of Satan's world (1John 5:19).
Those of all national groups spoken of in Rev.20:3, can be of his congregation (Rev.5:10).
Yet after Satan's release, the Bible tells us that Satan goes forth to mislead them
(Rev.12:15,17,9; Matt.24:4; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24,20; Rev.20:9).
For a time, he is successful, due to the success of his messengers...
(Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 13:11,15,7-8; 9:1-3; Joel 2:2; Dan.8:11-12,13; Rev.11:2; 13:7; Dan.11:31-32,33-34,35; 12:10,7-8,9,3-4,1)

We see that at the same time as the thousand years ending; the Devil is set free from the abyss (Hades: "not perceiving") of blindness. He is then able to discern and perceive how to deceive the nations of God.
1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 13:7,10; Col.2:8; Matt.24:5,24-25,22
So after Satan's release, he is able mislead all the present remnant... all the previously enlightened nations belonging to God...  during the Great Tribulation (Dan.8:11-12,24; Col.2:19; John 15:5-6).

Who sits on thrones to judge the Israel of God?
Matt.19:28; Luke 22:30; Rev.21:12,14,27;  1Cor.3:10-11; Eph.2:20-21,22
--
Those who reign with Jesus before Satan's release from the abyss, never fell prey to the Beast or it's image, or were branded as it's captive slaves. According to Rev.20:5 they "came to life", first.
(Previous audio program linked above, covered how and when, disciples of the past, come to life - Col.2:13; John 5:24; Mark 8:35)
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2016/10/coming-to-life.html
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2012/02/there-are-those-who-wonder-if-my_7388.html
According to Rev.7:4 they are the 144,000 who reign with Jesus during his thousand year kingdom.
Those who come to life spiritually after Satan's release, are at Rev.7:9-10 and Rev.6:11 (Rev.20:5)
Rev.7:14 - They come through the Great Tribulation. They had to "wash their robes" to remove the stain of their sin (Rev.6:9-10,11; Rom.6:5; Mark 8:35).
Rev.7:16-17 - As discipline, they suffered hunger and thirst and the scorching heat of the sun (Heb.12:6; Ps.11:6; Rev.16:8; Zech.13:9; Isa.48:10; 58:11), before being given, living water (Rev.7:17; John 4:10,14; Rev.22:17).

--So the "144000" come to spiritual life, during Jesus "thousand year" kingdom, which started in the first century.
They were never exposed to Satan's release, nor his final machination of the Great Tribulation. They never fell prey to demonic teachings, captivity to deception, or idolatry to Satan's alliance of Beasts... the false prophet (Rev.13:11; 19:20) or the Gentile organization to which that false prophet, is benefactor (Dan.8:24; 11:23; Rev.13:15) (Rev.13:1,4,11,14-15; 16:14;  1Tim.4:1).

VERSE FIVE Rev.20:5

The rest of the dead (Rev.12:17) (Eph.2:1; Col.2:13) do not come to life (John 5:24), until after Satan is released and conquered (Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 17:4; 20:9; 11:5; Jer.5:14; Hosea 6:5) (Rev.6:7-8;  1Cor.15:26).

The remaining ones of the woman's seed, are the ones that must contend with Satan's magnum opus of deception, channeled through the false prophet and Sea Beast (Rev.16:13-14,15-16;  1Tim.4:1), and the loss of Jesus' authority and power over his congregation (Rev.13:7; Dan.9:26; 8:11) to the anti-Christ, the Man of Lawlessness/Sin (2Thess.2:4).

The remnant have greater tribulation and darkness to deal with, in comparison to those who reigned with Christ while Satan was still restrained in the abyss. Due to subjection to Satan's agents, the "great crowd" are made vulnerable to, the "second death", unlike their predecessors (Rev.20:6).
[Release of second death is depicted at (Rev.6:7-8; Rev.4:8; Isa.62:6) (Eze.14:4,21; Rev.6:8) and is announced by the fourth watchman of the night.]
Rev.20:5
------------------------------------------

VERSE SIX  Rev.20:6

The second death has no power over those who reign with Jesus during the 1,000 years (Luke 10:19; John 15:7-8).
The second death, is the Lake of Fire (Rev.20:14; 15:2; 4:6; Hosea 6:5; Isa.33:1; Rev.9:11; Isa.30:33; Rev.14:10; 19:20; 20:10), which means God's judgment of condemnation (Gen.19:24; Hosea 6:5; Rev.11:5; 20:9; 19:11,14; Eph.2:6)(John 15:6;  1Cor.3:11-12,13-14,15;  2Pet.3:7,10-11,12) (Jer.5:14; Rev.11:5; Matt.10:20; John 16:8 -- Rev.20:12; John 12:48; 1:14; 17:3,17).

When Satan IS released and able to deceive the holy ones (Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8), the second death is able to overpower them.
Their idolatry toward the image of the beast...
(Rev.13:7-8,10; 2:20;  2Cor.11:4,20,3; Rev.13:10; Col.2:8;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-16; 17:14),
...causes them to come under God's condemnation (Ex.20:3-5; Rev.2:20).
Though having been born again and having received a second life of spirit (John 1:12-13; 3:6; Rom.8:9;  2Pet.1:4; John 10:35; Ps.82:6), that life/crown is stolen from them (Rev.3:11; James 1:12) and they die again, the second death, which can only occur to those who have received the second birth.
The harlot has given their crown of power and authority, to the locust-scorpions (Isa.23:8; Rev.9:7). That is when the abomination of desolation is standing in the holy place (Mark 13:14;  2Thess.2:4)
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2015/01/who-are-gods.html
   [If they repent (Rev.2:16; 3:3,19), they can receive that crown back again (Rev.2:10; Rom.6:5)(Eze.34:13-14; Mark 13:14; Eze.7:16; Jer.31:6) (Matt.13:15; Ps.103:3; Rev.3:18; 7:14)]

When Jesus is no longer, head of his congregation; how will that disconnect, effect it? What do they lose?
(Col.2:19,6-7,8; John 15:5; 8:12; 11:10; 9:4; Amos 5:20; Matt.24:29; Rev.9:1-2,3; Joel 2:2; Jer.13:16).
---They become vulnerable to being taken captive to deception.
Remember Rev.13:10 (Col.2:8)
Those who are deceived after Satan's release, lose connection to Christ (Col.2:13; John 15:4-5). They surrender their royal authority (Rev.17:13;  2Chron.13:5; Matt.5:13; Rev.11:2; Luke 21:24) and become captive slaves to the false prophet and it's beast. (Rev.2:20; 13:7,10; Col.2:8)
They are idolaters, through their dedicated service to the Image of the Beast. They are no longer "alive in Christ" as the 144,000 were (1Cor.15:22; Eph.2:5; Rom.6:11). Rather than having the slave mark of God (Deut.11:18; Rev.14:1) they are branded as slaves to the Beast (Rev.13:16,7).
They are not immune to the "second death" as their predecessors, were.

How are those who are overcome by the Great Tribulation and it's alliance of a false prophet and Beast, to regain their crown of life? How can they come out from under the trampling and captivity, to that alliance of Satan?
  Rev.20:4-5,6
There is a contrast between those who are raised from death first and exercise their power and authority as priests and kings, during the "thousand years",
and the "rest", who come to life after the "thousand years".
The rest, are those who face the last enemy Death, and it's agents from the abyss... the "locust scorpions", depicted collectively as the Wild Beast (Rev.9:1-2,3; 11:7; Joel 2:2; Eze.2:6).

So, the "thousand years" ends... Satan is released. He puts his demonic teachings/spirits, into the false prophet and Beast
(1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 13:11,14-15;  1Kings 22:21-22,23; Rev.19:20).
That two-horned false prophet becomes benefactor to the Beast (Luke 22:25; Dan.8:24; 11:23), by breathing Satan's spirit and ability to deceive, into the image of the Beast (Rev.13:15). As Rev.13:7,10 tell us, the saints are then conquered and taken captive (Col.2:8; Rev.13:10) in harmony with Luke 21:24. Dan.8:11-12,24-25; 11:31-32,33-34,35-36; 9:26
For a review of these events and the associated scriptures; the previous parts of this post can be considered.

So the Great Tribulation brings trampling and desolation to the remaining ones of the woman's seed, with which Satan is at war (Rev.12:17,15; Dan.9:26; Mark 13:14).
For a time they are conquered by
    Satan's release (Rev.13:7)
the power he grants to the false prophet (Rev.9:1; 8:10-11; 16:13-16; 13:11;  1Tim.4:1)
    and Beast which that prophet, benefits (Dan.8:24; 11:23; Rev.13:15; 19:20; Luke 22:25).
Jesus draws the contrast between worldly rule (Matt.4:8-9), within which the title "benefactor" is given to those who rule with all the splendor of earthly display and luxury,
..and divine kingdom, in which it belongs only to those whose work is that of humble, obscure and often, menial service to God's grace, spirit, and truth
(Matt.20:26-27,28; Mark 10:42-43; Luke 17:10; 18:16).

Why does God allow His sanctuary and it's royal priesthood, to be trampled?
We get a brief answer from Jesus, at Matt.5:13.
Those being trampled, have lost the strength of their covenant of salt with God... to be kings (2Chron.13:5). As Jesus said at John 18:37, the chosen are to use their royal authority and power just as Jesus did, and take their stand for truth, to the death (Rev.6:9-10,11; Mark 8:35).
If they've lost the strength of that conviction and allow themselves to be mislead and enslaved into idolatry; then they lose their connection to Christ, without whom, they can do nothing (John 15:5) to resist Satan's Great Tribulation.

So we learn at Rev.13:7-8; 2:20; 13:7-8 that Satan's release brings with it, a plague of idolatry, even among the chosen. They are consequently, not safe from the second death or the Lake of Fire, in contrast to the preceding chosen, who reigned with Christ before the thousand years ended, and before Satan's release (Rev.20:4-5).
What hope is there for those overcome by the Great Tribulation?
Rev.7:14; 19:8; 6:9-10,11; 12:10-11; Mark 8:35

Throughout the first three chapters of Revelation, Jesus supplicates his own slaves, to repent.
How do we know that repentance is warranted, in the time of Jesus return and the conclusion of the age (Matt.24:3)? (Rev.3:3;  2Pet.3:10;  1Thess.5:2,6)
What are we told about all ten virgins, when the Bridegroom is arriving? Matt.25:5-6 (Heb.13:13)

They all were asleep (1Thess.5:6-7; Rev.14:8) (Rev.5:9-10)
https://pearl-kingsofearth.blogspot.com
Repentance is needed, at the time of Christ's return (Luke 18:8; Eph.4:5)
(1Pet.4:17; Luke 18:8; Amos 5:18;  1Thess.5:2; Matt.24:43; 25:1,5;  2Pet.3:10-11,12-13)
-----------------------

Why is the Second Death described symbolically as a Lake of Fire?
A Lake is normally made of life-giving water. Truth is often symbolized by water. But this lake, contains fire.
Isa.4:4; Num.31:23; Zech.13:9;  1Cor.3:13-14; Mal.3:1-2,3; Rev.11:3-4,5; Jer.5:14; 23:29,32
If we refuse correction and repent, the final judgments of God will consume, condemn, and destroy us... if we do not prove faithful repentance (Mark 8:35; Rev.11:7; 6:11; 12:11; 9:18,20; 13:8).
If we do repent, we can be refined by the fire of God's standards found in His Word of truth (Jer.23:29; Zech.13:9; Job 23:10; Rev.3:18), repent, and be cleansed into a clean standing with God.

VERSE SEVEN Rev.20:7

How is Satan, released from his chains, and then enabled to deceive God's people?
Rev.8:10-11; 9:1 describe how Satan's dark deceptions are released.
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2014/08/who-has-key-to-abyss.html
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/search?q=the+fallen+star

We see an identity that was "burning as a great lamp" (Matt.5:15; John 5:35; Rev.1:20).
It fell from heaven (2Pet.3:17) and left God's grace and truth (2Cor.6:1).
They accepted a "key" of power and authority (Matt.4:8-10;  1John 2:15-16; Luke 6:24; Rev.3:17-18),
to open Satan's dark abyss of deception and confusion. They conjure up and release from the depths of Hades, Satan's power to stifle and becloud spiritual perception. (Eze.34:18-19; Rev.4:6).
God allows this force of discipline, because their love of truth is cooled (2Thess.2:9-10; Rev.2:4)
That fallen star "Wormwood" who gains a key to the Abyss, releases an ally (Rev.9:1-2,3; 13:14-15; 19:20; Joel 2:2; Jer.13:16).
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/search?q=the+fallen+star
Those who are overcome by that military force (Rev.9:3; Eze.2:6), are overcome by the deceptions of Satan, who is now free to empower his collective Beast (locust-scorpion constituents) and it's false prophet (Wormwood)...
     (Rev.13:4,7; 9:1-3; Matt.24:29; Joel 2:1-2; Jer.13:16-17; Isa.25:7; 59:9; 5:26-30;
      Joel 2:1-2,3,10; Matt.24:6; Dan.11:36;  2Thess.2:4; Matt.24:15-16)
...with demonic teachings (Rev.16:13-14,15-16;  1Tim.4:1).
(Suggest https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-greatest-tribulation-why.html)

When we are agents of deceptive doctrine, we support the father of the lie (Rev.16:13-14; 13:11; John 8:44). Satan works through human agents in the physical realm (2Cor.11:13-14,15; Rev.13:11).
When a prophet falls from grace by their teaching for Satan and the demons,
promoting their demonic power to deceive,
    and by being Satan's messenger to God's people;
--it is equivalent to the analogy of Satan being released from restraint, advancing into the land of God, and gaining command over God's nation. The result to the remnant is a desolation, captivity, and trampling down.

Think of how God's nation was lead astray into idolatry in the past. Israel's kings became corrupt and turned to false gods. They largely refused to heed God's warning through His prophets
(Jer.35:15; 44:5; Rev.11:3; 11:7; Jer.26:5-6; Matt.23:37-38).
God's land became adulterous due to an alliance with God's enemy, Satan. After having lost God's protection as a consequence, they compounded their error by turning to the nations around them for support and protection, furthering their acts of licentious harlotry.

Do you see any identity today, that has taken a leadership role over the people of God,
  become worshipful toward an image,
    become a false prophet,
accepted worldly position, riches, and power
and having turned to the nations for support rather than their God?

Faithful obedience to the warnings of the past, the teaching of Christ, and the warnings of prophecy, are all a protection from Satan's power. Only if we strictly follow the narrow path of Christ, will anointed kings be enabled to avoid the pitfalls of Satanic temptation.
If such a royal priest and prophet becomes unfaithful, well then, through such a leading steward over God's household, Satan becomes loosed to mislead God's nation (Rev.8:10-11; 2:20;  2Thess.2:9-10,11-12). This is the very scenario depicted within Revelation, and prophesied to occur during the Great Tribulation.

Under the era of the New Covenant, Jesus installs a steward over his household (Luke 21:24; Rev.1:20; Eph.2:20-21,22). Jesus said that such a steward could prove either faithful or unfaithful, and he gave the traits of both sorts.
If unfaithful, that prophet would not be providing the proper spiritual information at the time it was needed. Revelation tells us clearly, that when the events described take place... God's people are brought into subjection and trampled, by an image that appears to be spirit-breathed/directed/inspired (Rev.13:15; John 20:22)(Rev.13:7-8,10). Why would they do that... if the steward over them were dispensing the right information at the right time???

Revelation tells us plainly, that the entity which empowers the Beast to dominate the chosen, is a false prophet. Why not accept this simple description? (Matt.24:4-5,24-25). We see the false prophet of Rev.13:11, deceiving people from all nations, to share in the work of erecting the Beast's Image, and requiring worship to it (Rev.13:14; 19:20).
Why does God call this two-horned beast, a false prophet, if it is two secular countries? Are the four horns of the golden altar that is before God (Rev.9:13), also four countries? Are the seven horns on Jesus head, also countries? (Rev.5:6).
There is no reason found in the Bible, to interpret the two-horned false prophet, as the United States and Britain. But there is ample reason found in the Bible, to accept God's chosen terminology of "false prophet", as the identity who is misleading God's people into idolatry (Matt.24:4-5,24-25; Rev.2:20; 18:4; Dan.11:21,31-32).

VERSE EIGHT Rev.20:8

"go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth" (Rev.16:13-14; 17:1-2,15; Joel 3:9-10,11-12,13-14,15-16,17,20-21; Rev.6:9-10; 19:1-2; 18:8,24,20) (Deut.4:27; 28:64; Rev.13:8,7,10; Mark 13:27; Jer.9:15-16; Rev.8:11)
1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 19:20; 13:11,14-15; 9:13-14,15; Matt.24:5,24-25;  2Thess.2:9; Dan.8:24-25,12
"Gog and Magog" Once again we see an alliance depicted, which mobilizes, as a result of being deceived (Matt.24:4-5;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 17:14; 19:11,14;  2Cor.10:3-4,5; Rev.12:17).
SIDE POINT: [Jesus spoke of one kingdom, in many different parables (see Matt.13)(Matt.13:34-35; John 6:26-27,35). Jesus gave us Revelation (Rev.1:1). Just as with Jesus' any depictions of the one kingdom of God; we also see here in Revelation, many depictions of the same identities and events (Rev.10:11).]

"and gather them for battle
(Rev.12:7,17; 13:7; 11:7; 9:7,9; 16:14; 19:19; 17:14; 20:8 etc.)
"In number they are like the sand on the seashore.
These are not the sea (Isa.57:20), but rather... the sands of the land that are being tossed, pounded, and controlled BY the sea (Hosea 1:10; Luke 21:24; Rev.13:10,7). They are also not the stars of heaven, but are still earthly. Yet both sort, are Abraham's seed (Gen.22:17; Gal.3:26-27,28-29).

Satan is seen "standing" on the sands of the sea (Rev.13:1; Dan.11:45), just after John says that he goes off to wage war with the remaining ones of the woman's seed (Rev.12:17) after his release.
(There are no chapters or verses in original writings)
To stand over or take your seat over an identity, is a depiction of domination
       (Eph.6:13; Acts 4:26; 7:55; Ps.110:1;  2Thess.2:4; Dan.11:36-37,16,31).
Rev.13:1 informs us, that Satan is out of the abyss, and has gained advantage over the "sand", the unsealed of Abraham's seed of earth (Gen.22:16-17,18; 17:5; Isa.48:19).
As a result of that domination through the false prophet and it's Gentile Beast (Rev.13:11,15), Abraham's seed is trampled (Rev.13:7,10). Those unsealed "kings of the earth", who throw their lot in with the Image of the Beast (Rev.17:12-13,14; 1:5; 5:9-10), are slave-marked by the Beast's deceptive laws (Rev.13:16; Deut.11:18).
This brand mark of the beast puts those not sealed (Rev.7:3) into spiritual conflict with Christ and his faithful witnesses who testify to God's truths. The Beast which the ten kings support, kills the faithful (Rev.11:7; John 16:2; Mark 13:13; Rev.6:9-10,11; 12:10-11; Luke 12:51; Matt.10:34; Rev.2:16).

VERSE NINE Rev.20:9
"They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people (Greek: "hagiOn" G40 "holy saints -  1Pet.2:9-10; Heb.8:10; Deut.11:18; Rev.14:1; 7:3), the City He loves"
I will pause here, to clarify a comparison between this verse, and WT doctrine.

According to the WT, the events of Rev.20:9 take place after the end of a paradisaic and literal thousand years, which begins after Armageddon. But they also teach, that all the holy faithful ones, are then in heaven. Can you see that the WT's interpretation is impossible and untrue?
The Bible tells us clearly, that Satan's minions are marching on earth
How then, do they "surround" the "camp/tent" of God's people/saints, and the holy city heavenly Jerusalem (2Chron.6:6; Isa.62:1-2,3-4,5-6,7; Rev.21:2-3,10; Matt.5:35; Luke 21:20)..., when "God's people", are the Israel of God... the saints (1Pet.2:9-10; Rev.5:10;  1Cor.3:16) (Gal.6:16; 3:29; Rom.2:28-29)?
God's people have His laws symbolically written on their heart (Jer.31:33). How would we recognize who these are? Deut.11:18 tells us, they these would have a symbolic mark on their forehead.
Rev.14:1 tells us who that is.
We may have our own idea as to who the "144000" are... but the point is; JWs believe that "God's people" of Rev.20:9, are JWs. Yet JWs also do NOT believe, that all the rank and file JWs, are the anointed/the holy beloved city/the saints (Rev.21:9-10). That being the case, according to their own doctrine... JWs are not God's people, and are not the ones being surrounded by Gog and Magog. The remaining ones of God's anointed priesthood, are.
1Pet.2:9-10

The Bible speaks in many places, about this same situation of being surrounded
(Luke 21:20,24; Rev.13:10; Luke 19:43).
The WT does not have the correct timetable for these prophetic events.
The holy city/beloved city/holy ones/temple/holy place/saints, are surrounded and trampled, during the Great Tribulation.
On the one hand, the WT teaches that Satan is let out a thousand years after Armageddon. On the other hand, Satan gathers Gog and Magog, leading into Armageddon. They want it both ways, but both scenarios of Rev.20:7-8, cannot be true.
