A Spiritual Family [] The New Creation

Question received:

Dear Pearl,
I hope this finds you well and in good health.
I hope you don't mind, I wanted you to ask you a question. I've been working my way through your blog and reading every single article you have written but one thing that stands out to me is that the entire thing is practically all aimed towards the anointed.. and that there's practically nothing for those that have an earthly hope.
Also as you are no longer part of the organization yourself and it's clear that this organization and this fraudulent body of elders do not and cannot have God's blessing or spirit where are those with an earthly hope to go for guidance and spiritual nourishment?

Kind regards,
Chris

My reply:

Here are three links for you to consider, regarding your questions about the earthly hope, the heavenly hope (and other "Watchtower" lies), and where to go for guidance and spiritual nourishment.
LINKS:
(There are additional links within these posts linked above)

Almost every post I publish, is primarily for the edification of those not anointed. Perhaps this can be shown to you, if you express a specific question or need to me, and then I will refer you to the information you request. There are just too many posts which those not anointed can benefit from, for me to list them here.

I regret that you view the blog as written exclusively for anointed.
At Matt.28:19-20, Jesus commands his anointed priests, to teach all and any disciples, everything that the priests are learning from him (Matt.10:27; Mal.2:7;  1Pet.2:5,9; Rev.5:9-10), including the need to follow and obey all that Jesus taught (Matt.28:20).

The structure of God's spiritual family, follows the structure of a literal family. There is the great Father who is the source of all provisions (Matt.6:9). There is His son (John1:14), who is heir of all things (John16:15;17:10; Heb.1:2;  1Cor.15:24,27-28; Dan.7:13-14). Then there is Christ's bride members who are also considered co-heirs with Christ as his brothers (Dan.7:18; Rev.13:7; Dan.7:21-22,27; Rom.8:16-17; Gal.3:26,29).

Jesus replaces Adam as father of the new creation and heir of it
(1Cor.15:45; Isa.9:6; John6:57; John8:44;  1John3:8; John10:10).
Christ's bride, New Jerusalem, becomes the mother of the new creation, replacing Eve (Gen.3:20)
(Gal.4:26; Rev.21:9-10) (2Cor.5:17;  1Pet.1:3; Gal.6:15;  2Pet.3:13; Rev.21:1,5) (1Thess.2:7ESV ; Isa.66:10-11;  1Pet.2:2).

Our original father Adam, broke his covenant with God (Hosea 6:7). What was that covenant? We read it at Gen.1:26-30. Adam was given dominion over the physical creation and the responsibility that came with that blessing, was to take care of it, subdue anything needing taming, and to fill the earth.
Adam broke that covenant, by giving his dominion over to the wicked one
(Luke4:5-6;  1John5:19).
Whoever we obey, becomes our master (Rom.6:16). When we follow and obey the misleading guidance of the Devil, he gains mastery over us. When Adam and Eve chose to sin, the Devil became master, not only over the lives of Adam and Eve, but over all that Adam possessed. That included the whole creation and all life within it. All creation was then subjected to spiritual darkness, sin, futility, corruption, and death (Rom.5:12; 8:20-21).
[To understand how this happened, please consider this link:

Jesus performs the pattern of "brother-in-law marriage" (Mark 12:19) so that the spiritual death of Adam does not prevent the filling of the earth with seed from Eve (Gen.3:15)
(whose offspring can, with sacrifice, be forgiven due to her ignorance)
(Deut.25:5-6; Rom.9:29) (1Tim.2:14; Gen.3:13; Lev.5:17-18; Rev.5:9-10; Eph.5:23,25).

It is from among mankind descended from Eve, that the suitable can become collected as members of the bride of Christ.
Replacing Adam, Jesus becomes the heir of the original covenant with God. He accepts subduing the earth (1Cor.15:25,28; Ps.110:1; Luke22:69) and filling it with righteous offspring (John10:10)... spiritual children of Christ and his bride.

Spiritual children are designated as such, by means of whom they imitate (Eph.5:1;  1Pet.2:21;  1Cor.11:1;  3John1:11; Heb.6:12) and by the desires and spirit within their heart, whether bad or good (John8:44; Eph.2:2; Acts7:51; Luke22:3) (Matt.10:20; John14:17; Rom.8:9,11;  1Cor.3:16;  1John3:24; 4:4-6).

--Now for the point that I am trying to make for you...
With Jesus as father and the bride members of New Jerusalem as mother, there are children.

Peter was a member of Christ's bride, and Jesus compelled and assigned Peter, to feed his little lambs (John21:17; Luke 12:42) just as a mother would feed her children with what the father supplies them all.
The food provided, is symbolized by fruit
(John15:16,3-5; Luke6:43-45; Matt.7:20; Eze.36:8; Mark13:14; Rev.22:1-2; Prov.3:18).
These spiritual provisions have also been depicted in parable, as the faithful providing light to those in darkness (John12:46) (Isa.49:6; 60:1; Rev.2:28;  1Pet.2:9; Acts13:47; Matt.5:14-16; Rev.1:20; 4:5; 5:6). In addition to fruit and light, living water is used as a symbol of the source of life's provisions to the children of Christ and his bride (John4:10,13-14; Rev.22:1,17).
The life-giving truths of God are also depicted as seed, derived from the fruit which was eaten (Luke 8:11; James 1:21; Mark 4:20;  1Pet.1:23;  1John3:9). Those who accept and retain that seed in their heart, derive life. That equally pertains to anointed and those not anointed.
Those who are not anointed members of Christ's bride and accept feeding from her members, become children of light, truth, and life.

Those anointed whom Jesus sends "out into the earth"/"to the 7 congregations" as bearers of the previous provisions mentioned, are either accepted or rejected (John15:20).
Those sent, do not speak on their own, but like Jesus, they speak the words of God
(John3:34; 16:13; 13:20; Matt.10:20).
Like Jesus, those who speak the words of God are offering the life that is sourced through the words of God. That life, whether depicted as fruit, light, water, or seed, is being offered to any willing to accept it... anointed or not. It is up to each person, how their heart will respond to what is offered by those appointed by Christ to feed (Luke 8:11-15; John15:16).

Those who receive God's provisions of life through Christ and his bride... who accept and heed what is given...
they become accepted into God's family, receiving the life that God provides through His Temple priesthood. They join God's living, spiritual family as children of the long-awaited fulfillment of the original covenant with Adam, to "fill the earth". The New Creation is fulfilled, through the new Adam and new Eve (New Jerusalem). Spiritual children are born to Christ and his bride, through the spirit contained in the teachings of Christ (John 6:63).
Whatever provisions I am given by Christ, I am under obligation to offer to all. Those who recognize his voice of truth within what is offered, are fed by that work, and become his children. Provisions for those not anointed are plentiful. There is not only what I offer, but there is the work of those other priests working with me.

I suggest that you test out whether or not the provisions at the blog are useful to you or others who are not anointed, by asking for what you need, either in the search box or ask me directly. If you feel that what results from your search cannot apply to those not anointed; show that to me, and I will assist you.

Disfellowshipping and Shunning - Is it Biblical?

QUESTION RECEIVED:
Hi, I searched on your blog for an article regarding disfellowshipping but it didn't come up. Would you be able to direct me here?
I'm specifically seeking information on how the verses J.W.s use should actually be applied/enforced. The one where it's said we shouldn't stop and speak to or even share a meal with those people, how do you believe these scriptures should be applied?
-  -  -

MY REPLY:
1Cor.5:11 reads;
"11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person."

JWs call all those baptized into their organization, brothers and sisters. That gives the intentional  impression that all JWs are brothers and sisters. It allows for the scripture to be applied to all JWs, and for the shunning to be applied to any members who become dissonant with Watchtower doctrine, by their refusal to submit to it any longer.

But when 1Cor.5:11 was spoken and penned, there were no JWs. There was no Watchtower, or any application of how the Watchtower defines "brothers", or, an agreement with how the Watchtower interprets this verse.
Clearly in the verse, we are referring to those "called brothers", correct?
Who, in the first century, were called "brothers"?

I am going to cite the scriptures which shed the most direct light on the answer to that question.
Please examine them carefully...
(Rom.12:10;  1Cor.12:23,25-28; Rom.14:15;  1Cor.8:11; Eph.5:25-27; Rev.21:2,9-10)
(John 1:51; Rev.22:3NIV ,Rev.22:4; Col.4:7;  1Thess.4:9;  1Pet.5:8 >  1Pet.5:9 NET ; Luke 22:31)
(Luke12:45; 22:31; Matt.13:25,38; 25:40; 23:8; 28:8-10,16;  1John3:10,12; Heb.2:10-12; Rev.1:9)

The brothers of Christ naturally would have the same Father (Gal.3:26-29; Ps.82:6; Rom.8:14-18).
As such, they share the same inheritance of the kingdom with Jesus, from the Father
(Dan.7:13-14,18,21-22,27; Jude 1:1;  1Thess.3:13;  1Pet.1:15; Dan.7:27)

Do you understand now, who the "brothers" are who fall into gross sin...
      (2Pet.2:1-3; Acts 20:29-30; Heb.10:26-27 <(1John2:20); Matt.7:15,22-23; 24:5,11,24; Gal.2:4; Luke 21:8;  2Thess.2:1-3;
              Mark 13:22; Jude 1:3-4,8,10-13,17-19,11; Rev.2:14,16; Matt.15:13-14),
...who should be put away from the company of the faithful anointed saints?
(2Cor.6:17-18; 11:12-15,13; Rev.2:2;  1Cor.5:11-13)

-  -  -  -  -  -  -
Matt.13:37-39,40-42,43
Now let's take an even closer look at 1Cor.5:11, specifically the last words, "not even to eat with such a person"**.
Is this literally referring to having a meal with a sinner? No. ...see Matt.9:10-13.
We understand those words better, if we read Rev.3:20 **.

1Cor.5:11 and Rev.3:20 are not referring to eating literal food at all (John6:27,35; Amos 8:11). They are referring to spiritual provisions that are sourced in either demonic spirits of deception (1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14;  1Cor.10:21; Rev.2:20,24; Eph.6:12; 5:11;  2Cor.10:3-5; Rev.17:14)
or sourced in the holy spirit of truth (John14:17,26; 6:57,63; 20:21-22;  1John2:20,27; John15:4-5,16).

The false teachers and unfaithful anointed that were highlighted in previously cited scriptures above, are those providing such misleading doctrine. We are not to consume their rotten fruit, served on the table of demons (Luke 6:43-45; Matt.7:15-20)
..."not even eating with such a person" (1Cor.5:11).

Not only has 1Cor.5:11 been misapplied to those not anointed;
---It has also been misapplied to facilitate the holy ones being wrongly condemned to death
(Isa.57:1; John16:2; Matt.10:22) (Rev.13:11,15; 11:3,7)

How is the Kingdom like Treasure hidden in a Field?

Matt.13: 44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."

The kingdom of heaven, is an inheritance for those Chosen, who are loving, humble and faithful to their divine responsibilities, given to them by Christ (Rom.8:17; Gal.3:29; Matt.19:14; 23:12; Ps.37:34; Luke 19:17; Matt.25:34).
How is that inheritance and kingdom, like treasure? The scriptures symbolize the living truth of God and its flawless wisdom and guidance, as treasures (Ps.119:101-105,162; 119:72; Prov.2:3-5; Matt.6:19-21; 13:52; Luke 6:43-44; Luke 6:45 NKJV ; 2Cor.4:7) because they result in eternal life (Prov.3:1-2; John17:3,17; 6:63,68-69). Obedience to God's precious statutes brings the richness of His blessing (Prov.10:22). We cannot enter the kingdom of heaven, without the spirit and truth found in God's word (John 6:63; Eph.6:17). We must be born again, of God's word (1Cor.15:50; John3:5-7; 1Pet.1:23; Luke8:11,15). Entering the kingdom of heaven, depends upon finding the treasure of divine truth.

Jesus is the chief agent of Life because all the truth he taught, came from God (John12:48-50; 8:51) He is the path that only a few find (John14:6; Matt.7:13-14; John10:7). He is the source of the hidden spiritual treasures of divine truth (Col.2:2-3; Rev.2:17; John6:58). No one can come to Jesus to gain eternal life, unless the Father draws them to find Christ (John6:37,44-65). No one can understand the teachings of Christ without God granting it (Matt.13:10-11,16,34-35; Isa.45:3; Col.2:2-3).
Those granted, must first ask (Matt.7:7; Prov.2:3-4,5-6,7; Jer.29:13; John14:21; Luke11:9-10,11-12,13).
In the book of Revelation, we learn that the treasure of divine truth and wisdom leading to eternal life, is granted to those victors who conquer the world (Rev.2:7,11,17,28; 22:16; 1John 5:4).

How is it that these treasures are hidden in a field? A plot of ground is used in the Bible as a symbol for the heart (Luke 8:10-11,15). When a heart is full of the Word of God; it cultivates the Word of God and in time, produces fruit, which contains more seed according to its kind (Matt.13:23; Luke 6:43-44; Luke 6:45 NKJV ; John 15:16,4-5).
If you took note of Luke 6:43-44; Luke 6:45 NKJV , the meaning of the symbolic fruit, is sayings, teaching, and what that one preaches. If what you teach is from Christ, it will contain the same seed as was received from him, which is the Word of God (Luke 8:11). A fine tree will produce fine fruit... teaching that lasts/remains (John 15:16) because it is sourced in the teaching of Christ (Matt.24:35).
A rotten tree produces rotten fruit. Fruit that rots, passes away. These are teachings that are exposed as false, and so they expire and must be replaced, updated, changed (Matt.7:15-20). Their teachings do not last.

The branches that are attached to Jesus (John15:5), source their teaching in the spirit he gives them. Rather than speak their own thoughts, they speak only what they hear (Matt.10:27).
What they hear and speak, is the word of God (John16:12-14; 8:47 a), ...like Jesus (John7:16-18; 8:26).
Jesus contains the hidden truths and sacred secrets of God, because the illuminating spirit of truth was upon Jesus without limit
(John3:34-35; 5:19-20; Col.2:2-3; 1Cor.2:7-9,10-11,12-13).
The life-giving truths of God, are of God's spirit in the heart of Christ, from which Jesus spoke. The field within which divine treasure is hidden, is the heart of Christ (Col.2:2-3; 1Pet.3:4; Prov.20:5; Luke 11:9 NLT ; Matt.13:44).

Continuing in Matt.13:44 we learn that after the man finds the treasure, he hides it.
Why would finding divine truth, cause you to hide it as you go off to purchase that field?
Our new-found relationship with God and Christ, must be planted deep in our heart, out of reach to any other influence (Matt.6:6). We bury the truth deep in our own heart as we go forward to own the heart of Christ, through learning to imitate him.

"And for joy over it
(John8:32; 1Cor.15:55-57; 1Pet.1:6-9; Acts 20:24; Rom.5:2,11; Luke 10:21).

"he goes and sells all that he has
(Matt.19:21; 6:19-21; Phil.3:8; Mark 8:35; Rom.14:8; 2Cor.5:15; 1Cor.6:19-20)

"and buys that field
If we desire to have the mind and heart of Christ, we must follow the example of his steps, closely
(John14:5,14,6; 1Pet.2:21; Phil.3:10; Rom.6:5; 1Cor.2:16).
As we do, we are being transformed, refined and purified... and will progress to a maturity found in Christ
(Rom.12:2; 8:4,13; Eph.4:13; John17:24,22; Eph.1:18; 2Pet.1:4; 1Pet.1:4).
We find and secure that precious, priceless treasure in Christ himself, when we serve him
(Eph.3:14-16,17-19,20-21; Rev.3:18; Zech.13:9; Job 23:10-11; Rev.21:3-5; 22:3-4).

Is it Proper to Pray to Jesus? [] The Source of Spirit and Truth

Comment received:
At Matt.6:9 Jesus taught us how to pray to the Father. In that instruction, Jesus excluded himself from being directly addressed in the opening of prayer.

My response:
Would Jesus pray to himself in his model prayer?
Jesus was giving us instruction on what perspective we should have, what our concerns and priorities should be, when we are considering which requests we rightly present before the Father.
Should we assume that this instruction must mean that Jesus is not to be prayed to?
Let me present an example.
Imagine that your lawyer gives you instruction on how to present your case to a judge or jury.
Does that necessarily mean that you should no longer speak to your lawyer, simply because his instruction did not include how to speak to him?
You would not assume that conclusion, because you have an ongoing relationship with your lawyer. You know that your relationship remains unaffected by his instruction regarding a third party.

Please consider, based upon the scriptures to follow, what the relationship of one-ness is, that the anointed have with Jesus (John 17:20-22,23-24,25).
Jesus said that proper worship includes both spirit and truth (John4:23-24).
Jesus is the source of truth for the anointed (John14:6; 18:37; 8:45-47; 4:10; Rev.21:6; 3:20).
He is also the source of spirit at work in them
(John16:12-15,7; 15:26; Matt.10:27; 28:20; John17:26; 20:29; 17:20; Acts 1:8)
(Col.2:10-11; 1John2:27; 1Pet.1:2)
(Rom.11:16-18; 15:12; Col.2:6-7; John15:4-5; Eph.4:16; 1Cor.6:17).

Jesus directly teaches his anointed priests, about their mutual Father
(John5:19; 10:36; Gal.3:26). (John17:26; Heb.2:10-13; Matt.10:27)
Consider how the relationship between Jesus and his bride members, is compared to a healthy, loving marriage (Eph.5:29-30,31-32).
Is such a relationship sustainable, without communication?

The anointed continue to be taught by Jesus himself, as he is the one who directly gives them God's spirit and truth, through him.
Jesus told his body members, to ask him for what they need (John15:7; 16:24-25).
Note John 14:13-14...
"13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask ME for anything in my name, and I will do it."
Then please reconsider, whether or not Christ's bride members should speak to Jesus, or should not speak to him.
    1Tim.2:5 reads;
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind*, the man Christ Jesus".
If we wish to approach God, we are told that Jesus is our mediator. How well would you reach God, if you refused to speak with His only mediator?
Yet Jesus spoke of a time when the anointed who are born of spirit, would no longer be of the flesh... of "mankind*
(Rom.8:9-11; John3:6; 1Pet.1:23; 1Cor.15:50; Eph.2:6).
In that day, the Father Himself hears our prayers (John16:25-27).

The faithfulness of Stephen is one of loyalty to Christ. He gave a courageous and thorough testimony in the face of certain death (Acts 7:1-54). This exemplary Christian provides to us, a lesson related to our present topic
at Acts 7:55-60 where we read;
"55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 ‘Look,’ he said, ‘I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.’
57 At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, 58 dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ 60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out, Lord, do not hold this sin against them.’ When he had said this, he fell asleep."

Finally, we have the example of the apostle Paul. We can see by the verses to follow, that he took the invitation at John16:24 to heart.
Rom.8:28 and 1John5:14 add, that what we ask for must contribute to the purpose of God. Take note of what we learn from Paul, regarding whether or not we should pray to Jesus...

2Cor.12: "7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for MY power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."

 1Cor.6:17

Jesus is one in spirit with his Bride members. They work together intimately, as Christ teaches them, nourishing them with spirit and truth (Eph.5:29). He gives them the divine knowledge they need to be wise and faithful, and to feed others the light of life
(John20:21; Matt.10:27; 5:14-16; Isa.60:1-2; 1Pet.2:9; Rev.22:17; Matt.28:19-20).
If anyone thinks that this takes place without any open communication between Christ and his Bride members, you are mistaken.
Acts 9:3-5; Rev.1:12-13,17; 2:29; 6:10; John5:22-23; Rev.11:12; John17:24; Rev.14:14-16; Matt.3:12; Rev.19:5; 22:16,20)

144,000 -literal? [] Why so Long? [] 24 Elders

QUESTION RECEIVED:

I have a question regarding the 144k. The 2000 odd years since Jesus's death has been a fairly long time and evidentially Jws are scrambling to justify increases to the number of partakers and the fact that (by their statistics) the number should have been made up long ago.

I dont believe we can trust their numbers to give us any indication of the amount of people who have actually been annointed. I think it's probably only a matter of time until the GB announces that the annointed number is symbolic and not a literal 144k as they've been teaching for decades.

I wanted to get some insight on this topic as its hard to grasp sometimes what has literal or symbolic application when it comes to revelations. Rev 7:5-8 says that the sealed make up a portion of the 12 tribes. I'm confused about the tribes' meaning and whether or not the numbers are exact and physical...? Either way, why is it necessary for the number (whether symbolic or not) to be made up? There have already been thousands of sealed, and as you have said, the harvest is nearly done. I'm just not sure why humanity has had to wait/endure/suffer in existence for so long when God already has so many Chosen from the first century. Once again, thank you for your insight
Also who are the 24 elders in white robes or what do they represent?

MY REPLY:
I hope you are reading all the cited scriptures as you come to them. That is where holy spirit will open the understanding of these things up to you.

The book of Revelation is symbolic. If you look at the Greek for Rev.1:1, it contains a word that is rarely brought over into English when translated. I'll give you a link to the Greek so you can find it yourself.

Here is the word:
eshmanen
esEmanen
G4591
vi Aor Act 3 Sg
He-SIGNifiES
he-signifies-it

-- If you look at the capital letters (I did not change anything), you will see " SIGN ifiES ".
That's because the book is given to us in SIGNs. The seals are in place to prevent an open understanding of those signs. Understanding is exclusively for Christ's faithful servants
(Matt.13:34-35,11-13; Rev.22:16,6; 1:1).
The seals are finally opened, in the time of the end (Rev.20:12; 22:10; Dan.12:4,9-10).

The symbols (and what is about to happen as depicted in them) can then be understood in the time of the end,
through spirit (John16:12-13; Rev.22:6).

The seals are opened and deciphered, through the trumpets of the 7 angels (Rev.15:7; 8:2; 10:7; Isa.58:1NIV ).

144000 is a symbolic number. It is based upon the numeral 12, which represents truth because it is the sum of two witnesses (6+6=12). 144000 is the result of 12x12x1000. That's why there are 12 tribes, and 12,000 in each tribe. Those tribes are not headed by the sons of Jacob, but by the 12 apostles (Matt.19:28). The tribes are comprised of symbolic Jews (Rom.2:28-29; Gal.3:29; Rom.9:6).

The thousand,
(as we observe in the numeral 1,000 that symbolizes Christ's reign over the 144000)
...represents a receiving of a kingdom due to faithfulness.
To briefly explain this, we see the faithful anointed as having traversed the path of Christ to the end, as Paul said, to finish the race (Matt.16:24-26; John14:6; 2Tim.4:7-8).
Rev.17:14 displays that progression as "called, chosen, faithful".
First we are called/drawn by the Father to Christ (John6:44; 17:6; 1Cor.1:26).
Second (if that is successful) we are chosen
(1Cor.1:27-29; 1Pet.2:9; 1:2; Mark 13:20; Luke18:7; John15:19; Acts 9:15; 10:41; Rom.8:33; Eph.1:11; Col.3:12; 1Thess.1:4; James 2:5; Isa.43:10).
After being chosen, we face the fork in the road of being faithful or unfaithful to God's choosing of us
(1Cor.4:2; Heb.10:38; Matt.24:45; 25:21; Eph.1:1; 1Tim.2:7; Col.1:2; 1Pet.4:10; 3John1:3; Rev.2:10; 14:12; 17:14).

You can see "called" as 10. "Chosen" as 100. "Faithful" and as receiving your kingdom with Christ, as 1000. It is the same with first, second/mid-heaven, and third heaven
  (Rev.14:6ASV ; Rev.8:13ASV ; 2Cor.12:2; Neh.9:6; Luke2:14NIV ).
The 144000 have attained their kingdom of truth with Christ, by being victorious over the world (Rev.3:21; Eph.2:6).

666 represents 3 liars... the Devil, the false prophet, and the sea beast.
Those who worship the beast's image, are under compulsion to serve and obey it. This is symbolized by having their thoughts, faith, and actions, directed by that Beast (Rev.16:13-14; 1Tim.4:1; Rev.13:16-18)
Two witnesses (12) represent truth.
(John8:17; Rev.11:3,12; Matt.17:3,5; Heb.12:1; Rev.1:7; Jude 1:14).
God's slaves are not the beasts slaves.
Instead of being marked by the false teachings of demons and of the Beast, they are marked as slaves of God, and marked by the truthful teachings of God which they serve and obey (Deut.11:18; Rev.14:1; 7:3)

-
You said; "Rev 7:5-8 says that the sealed make up a portion of the 12 tribes."
I don't understand what you are saying. I see those verses as showing that all members of the 144000 are sealed. Can you clarify?
-
Your question about suffering and why God has waiting so long, I'll give you a link for.
As regards your thought about God being satisfied with a past number of sealed anointed...
remember that God considers the anointed, His sons (Gal.3:26; 4:6).

If Jesus describes his love as a shepherd who leaves his 99 sheep to find one of his lambs, why would he abandon the harvest of the full number of anointed faithful? (Matt.18:12)
To illustrate;
If you had 12 sons who fell into a well, would you be satisfied after rescuing a few, abandoning the rest?
Well you may think that the other 9 do not yet exist, so you're not really abandoning them.
In God's mind of seeing the end from the beginning (Isa.46:9-10), all those who love Him and died, are living to him (Luke 20:38) as are all those whom He knows will love him, and have not yet been born (Ps.139:15-16; Eph.2:10; 2Thess.2:13-14; 1Cor.2:7) but who are written in the Lamb's book of life from the foundation (Rev.13:8).
Jesus was not yet born when all the prophecies were written about him.
Like Jesus, God has a purpose for each anointed one, whether they presently exist, have already died, or have not yet been born. We are not His counselor in such matters (Rom.11:34-36; Isa.40:13).

Now, as regards the 24 elders...
As previously mentioned, 6 represents a testimony. 12 represents 2 witnesses, a testimony of truth. In this case, we have 4 witnesses or testimonies (6x4=24).
The 24 elders represent a unified, harmonious testimony given by this group throughout the 4 corners of the earth (N.S.E.W.). They are the teachers in the Body of Christ (1Cor.12:28; Eph.4:11; Matt.23:34; Acts 13:1; James 3:1).

 Rev.4:10-11

In fact, all those surrounding the thrones of God and Christ in heaven, are members of the body of Christ... members of Christ's bride and God's kingdom administration.
As we learn in 1Cor.12; Eph.2 and Eph.4, etc., there are many differing assignments in that Body... apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelists, healers, etc. There are also the watchmen, which are symbolized as the 4 living creatures (Mark 13:34NIV Mark13:35; John10:3 > LINK ).
The 24 elders are dressed in white robes, which is defined at Rev.19:8.
The means of attaining that robe, is defined at Rev.6:9-11; 7:13-14.

Light and Darkness

Question received:
John 9:4 has been on my mind lately.
Do you think Jesus was referring to more than himself as the "Light" going away and the darkness being more than the absence of His presence?
Spiritual darkness?

My Reply:
We read at John 8:12 that Jesus referred to himself as the light of the world.
At Matt.5:14 Jesus said of his followers, "You are the light of the world."
At John 20:21 Jesus said; "As the Father sent me, so I am sending you".
Verse 22 continues, "Then he breathed on them and said, 'Receive the holy spirit'." (John 20:22)

At John3:34 Jesus said about himself
"For he whom God has sent, speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure."
There we see the connection between having God's spirit, and accurately teaching God's words.
At Matt.10:20, Jesus again said of his disciples;
"It will not be you speaking, but the spirit of your Father speaking through you."

So we see a commonality between the role of Christ and the role of his faithful body members.
Christ and the anointed are sent to bring spiritual light into the world (Mal.2:7; Rev.5:10).
Both Jesus and his Body members are enabled and prompted by the spirit of God, to teach God's words of divine truth.

Now note what is said about the Day of the Lord...
"Why do you long for the day of the LORD? That day will be darkness, not light" (Amos 5:18 NIV)
  Please read:
John9:4; Jer.13:16; Zeph.1:15; Matt.24:29; Joel 2:2,31; Rev.9:2; 2:26,28; Isa.60:1-3; Mal.4:2-4

Jesus foretold above at Matt.24:29 that "the power of the heavens would be shaken".
That is a parallel to Dan.12:7 where we are told that "the power of the holy ones will be brought to nothing".
If you don't know about the heavens, consisting of Christ (sun), ...moon (sealed anointed) ...and stars (individual anointed), as being the symbolic heavens; Please consider this post:
As regards the heavens being shaken", please derive what that is describing, from these verses:
(Ps.16:8; 21:7; 60:2; 109:23; Isa.54:10; Amos 9:9; Job 34:20)
Why would God, "shake the heavens"?
He tells us at Haggai 2...
"6 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, *and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty." *(Zech.4:10; Mal.3:1-2,3-4).

God is shaking loose, all that which is spiritually desirable from the midst of the heavens, earth, sea, and parched realms (Ps.82:5; 105:28). That advances God's purpose, to harvest those who are inclined toward divine truth and life before the End of the age
(Matt.13:30,38-40; Mark 4:26-27,28-29; Rev.14:14-16; Matt.13:47-50,30; 2Pet.3:7,10). Fire is symbolic Jer.23:29; Jer.5:14NIV ; Rev.11:5) (LINK: Fire-from-Heaven).
Since the time of Jesus, those inclined toward everlasting life have been being gathered in (John 4:35-36). But the time arrives to reap the final, late crop (Amos 7:1-2,8; Isa.65:8; Eze.14:22).

When the heavens are shaken and the sun, moon, and stars cannot give their light (Isa.13:9-10; Eze.32:8; Matt.24:29). This is caused by the army of locusts who darken the heavens (Joel 2:2-3,10,12,25,31-32; Rev.9:2-3). They are sourced in the enemy of divine light and life... the father of deception and death (John 8:44; Rev.13:4; 9:11; Isa.33:1).
The anointed priesthood is assigned to wage spiritual war against the Devil's dark forces... once their daystar arrives to deliver them from the dark.
(2Pet.1:19; Mal.4:2; Acts 3:20; Hosea 6:3; Isa.60:1; Hosea 2:23; Rev.22:16; John14:21)
(Eph.6:12; 2:1-2; 2Cor.4:3-4,5-6; Eph.4:18; 5:8-10,11-12,13-14; 2Cor.10:3-5; Rev.17:14)
(Ps.18:28; 107:14; 112:4; Isa.9:2; 1Pet.2:9; Col.1:13,21; 1Thess.5:4-6; John 1:5).

If you have not yet read about the cause of the Great Tribulation; if you read the following post link, you will understand how this locust-scorpion army causes the Great Tribulation.
The battle of Armageddon, is that battle between truth and deception, after Christ's anointed are set free from being trampled by the Gentiles, and they repent of their ignorant captivity to demonic deception (Isa.30:26; 5:30; 59:9; Matt.24:24-25; 5:13; Luke 21:20; Ps.143:3; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24; Dan.11:33; Eph.4:18-19; Col.1:21) (1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14) (Col.1:13-14; 1Pet.2:9)

All heavenly light is cloaked during the Great Tribulation, it is the "night when no one can work" (John 9:4).
That could not have been in the first century, because at that time Jesus said "“My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” (John5:17).
It's very important to learn and understand from scripture, about the cause and effect of the Great Tribulation upon those who God considers his people (1Pet.2:9-10). If you haven't read that yet, please do (especially the scriptures)> (https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-greatest-tribulation-why.html)
My point, is that the Great Tribulation is a time of darkness to the point of being totally blind. That tribulation causes the body members to be cut off from Christ (Dan.8:11,13; 9:26; 11:22; John15:5). They have no light, without him.
Without him, they can do nothing (John 15:4-5; 9:4).

Jonah's Fish

Still editing

Matt.12: "40 For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish [sea creature/monster] three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights."

First let's visit the Greek interlinear for this verse, to get the original Greek words that were written.
Here is a link to it, but I will copy below a picture of verse 40...

We're going to focus in on the word for "sea creature"
 G2785

In order to get the definition of this Greek word, we take note of its designation as "G2785". That's this word's index number in Strong's dictionary.
Now we'll look it up. First do a Google search for " Strong's G2785 ".
There will be a result for Blue Letter Bible. Click on that, and it will take you to the definition of G2785. Here is the link: ( https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/g2785/kjv/tr/0-1/ )
Here is a screen shot.
Now please take note that aside from the conclusion drawn by translators that this creature which swallowed Jonah when he was thrown into the sea, is literally a large aquatic animal;
Note near the top it is given the root of this word for the sea creature's identity.
 G5490
Now we are going to look up what this Greek word means. This definition is much more reliable, because our original word (G2785) only occurs two places in the Bible, and both places are the same context, giving us little help in understanding a clear definition. (Jonah 1:17; Matt.12:40).
Here is the page that defines G5490: ( https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/g5490/kjv/tr/0-1/ )

Please take note that a precise animal is not mentioned, but rather the idea of a great opening, gape, chasm, gulf... a great and deep divide. It may not make sense for now, to equate a creature with a gaping deep hole, but as we continue, this will make perfect sense.
Here is the other place in the Bible where this chasm is directly referred to. Luke 16:24-26.
Take note that there is a great chasm between Abraham and Lazarus on one side, and the one in agony on the other side. He longs for water, but a chasm prevents him receiving it. His life was filled with comfort, while the life of Lazarus was filled with misery. In the scene above, the circumstances are reversed in a display of justice. The chasm assures the final outcome of justice cannot be changed. Once this sentence is executed, it cannot be reversed.
We know that "water" is a Bible symbol for divine truth (John4:10; Rev.22:1; John17:3; 6:63; 14:6).
What does the Bible teach us about the allegorical situation depicted by Luke16:24-26 above?
How are some who have suffered, being granted living water,
and others, denied that water? How is there a chasm in between the two sorts?
Matt.13:11; Matt.25:8NIV Matt.25:9NIV 1Cor.10:21; Gal.1:8; Rev.3:7NIV

15 Let not the floodwater overflow me,
Nor let the deep swallow me up;
And let not the pit shut its mouth on me." Ps.69:15NKJV

Isa.5:14; Prov.30:13-14,15-16; Hab.2:5NIV ; (Hab.ch.2); Rev.6:7-8

------------
Bible meanings of surround/compass are two.
Man of Lawlessness/Gentiles seek to destroy "woman" Jerusalem. Surrounds Jerusalem, desolates (Matt.24:15). Christ loses temple (Dan.8:11; 9:26). Woman surrounds, desolates Man of Lawlessness. Woman defends master, master defends/blesses woman.

144,000 and Great Crowd, Compared [] Sealed [] Serving as Priests

This comment below was left under the post:
It read;
"You imply that the 144000 and the great crowd are similar in the way that both groups have been anointed (does this therefore mean that they are given the same assignment? If not, how do their roles differ?). This makes sense as only 'priests' or anointed may "render... sacred service day and night in his temple" without defilement. Are you implying that only those who are anointed are saved and sealed to reign with Christ and worship God? If so, who do they reign over if they are all priests? If not, how may non-anointed ones serve or worship Him without defilement or be saved, or how can they become anointed? (please excuse my misunderstanding if these are simple questions as I have only begun studying the bible around 5-6 months ago)"

My response:
First you ask if all anointed receive the same assignment.
If you recall, all anointed who are joined to Christ their head, become one spirit with him because they become a part of his body
(Eph.5:23; 4:14; 1:22-23; 1Cor.6:17; John17:21,23; 15:4-5,7-8; 1Cor.12:27).
---All anointed priests are required to produce fine fruit, which symbolizes the teaching of divine truth (Mal.2:7; 1John2:20,27).
If you do not see that interpretation clearly (fruit=teaching), please consider this post:
---Priests offer incense, which means to offer prayer in behalf of others
(Luke1:9; Ps.141:2; Rev.5:8 <(note "elders"); James 5:14-15 <(note "elders"); 1Cor.6:1,2,3)
None other than priest, can offer incense or sacrifice. Yet even in this, there are specific rules. The prophet Samuel was a priest of God in the days when Saul was king of Israel. Even the king could not perform the duties of priest
(1Sam.13:7-14; 2Chron.23:6-7). All are to observe God's law to honor the distinction God makes, between the consecrated and the common.
---All priests are to offer the sacrifice of praise to God, the "bulls" of the lips (Hosea 14:2ESV ; Heb.13:15).

Next you ask;
"If not (all given the same assignment), how do their roles differ?

This question assumes that the role of priest cannot vary among individual priests, unless they are not given the same assignment.
As mentioned above, the general assignment of priest contains some common services. There are others in addition to the ones mentioned.
If you remember back to the practice of anointing in Israel, it was used to manifest God's choosing of a priest or king. Although an anointed king was given the general assignment to rule God's nation; each king faced various circumstances, which he as an individual would need to be responsible for. In most cases, God would communicate to that king through a prophet, outlining particular responsibilities for that individual king.

Although there are the general assignments given to all New Covenant anointed priests, regardless of when they live; their individual roles, do differ. So may their circumstances.
How do we know this?
Well remember above that I mentioned the union of the Body members of Christ, with him as Head?
Your question, is addressed in 1Corinthians, chapter 12.
I'll quote some key verses...
1Cor.12:
4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 14 And so the body is not made up of one part but of many. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?"

These differences do reflect God's original Temple in Israel, which was designed as a physical pattern of the spiritual reality of heaven (2Chron.31:2; 1Chron.9:22-23,26,28-30; Heb.8:1-2,5).
Please give another look at verse 29 which reads;
"29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers?"
All the apostles, prophets, and teachers in the body of Christ, are anointed into their assignment as priests. How do those assignments compare both in commonality and uniqueness?
Note that verse 28 (underlined above) shows us an order to Christ's Body.
The apostles are primary, next are the prophets, then teachers, etc.
To show that these positions are not always fluid, those who are assigned lesser responsibility than a teacher, are given the advice of James 3:1. Yet each one's assignment includes all gifts under them. For example, the apostles can prophesy and teach. Prophets can teach. Teachers can heal, help, and guide. Yet those given less, can not will themselves to be an apostle or prophet, or even a teacher (Matt.25:14-15; 1Pet.4:10). This is further revealed at Num.3:3-4; Lev.10:1; 16:1-2.
God considers it an even greater abomination, if the priesthood is traversed by uncircumcised foreigners (Eze.44:6-7,8-9,13; 2Chron.13:9). It has been long prophesied that this exact abomination takes place in the time of the End (Matt.24:15; Dan.11:31,36; 2Thess.2:4; Rev.11:2)

That order of Christ's Body members, is also the order of God's Temple of living stones (1Pet.2:5).
The Body and Temple are the same identity, both being expressed through each symbol (body,temple)(John2:21).
We learn that at Eph.2:
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
 Eph.2:6; Heb.12:22-23; 8:2,5

Just as the apostles are "first" and prophets are "second" (1Cor.12:28) and all the other Body parts of Christ come to follow them; At Eph.2:20, we learn the reason for that order. The "first" and "second" are the foundation.
So, to be direct...
all anointed priests are assigned to belong to the Body of Christ, and, are all living stones of God's habitation.
Yet their roles can certainly differ, even while they all offer sacred service day and night.
Even among the apostles ...their assignments differed from one another. Yet they were all apostles and foundation stones to the Holy City and the Christian faith (Rev.21:14).

You next ask;
"Are you implying that only those who are anointed are saved and sealed to reign with Christ and worship God?"

Not sure how you got this idea, and I wonder if you understand what it means to be "saved" or to be "sealed". You are connecting being "sealed to reigning with Christ" and then you hook on "and worship God".
I'll have to take that in pieces.

"Are you implying that only those who are anointed are saved?"
No. The role of priest is to assist others to be saved.

"Are you implying that only those who are anointed are...sealed?"
I wonder if you know what it means to be sealed.
It means to be spiritually marked as a slave of God. That mark is present when a person has God's Laws written on their heart and mind. God's Laws govern that one's faith, conscience, and actions. They then have the seal of God written on their forehead and hand (Deut.11:18; Rev.7:3; 14:1).

I don't know why you say "sealed to reign".
One can be sealed as a slave of God, without being a royal heir. There are those who were chosen to reign, who fail to get sealed. In fact, they even become sealed as obedient, idolater slaves of an Idol (Rev.13:16,7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24; Dan.11:33).

And finally you ask; "Are you implying that only those who are anointed...worship God?"
I'm not clear why you are asking this.
Don't you recall that the whole nation of Israel, along with foreigners, worshiped God?
Were all those worshipers, anointed kings or priests?
I assume you already know that all those who worship God, are not anointed.
Genuine anointed Kings and Priests since the time of Christ, are designated, chosen, and assigned,
to serve God, each other, and those who desire life from Christ.

Next you ask;
"how may non-anointed ones serve or worship Him without defilement or be saved, or how can they become anointed?"

That question is two-part.
FIRST:

All may serve and worship God without defilement and be saved, by learning from Christ and God. God sent Christ into the world to save it. That salvation is through Christ's teaching (John6:63) because of the spirit of life and light, contained in the teaching.
However,
if a person has not been chosen and anointed by God to be a priest, they are not permitted to serve in that capacity. If they do enter into that service, they do defile it.

How do priests fit into the salvation of others?
I'll cite Mal.2:7 again.
The teaching of life is symbolized as light, living water, a grapevine, or incorruptible wheat seed.
All three, originate with Jesus Christ
(John1:4,9,14; 8:12; 4:10,14; John15:5; Luke 8:11; 1Pet.1:23; John3:34; 6:51,35).

All three, are given by spirit to God's anointed priests, to continue the ministry of Christ.
(2Cor.5:20; 4:6; 1Pet.2:9; Matt.5:14-16)(Rev.22:17)
(John15:16; Luke6:43-45; Matt.13:51-52; 7:20; Rev.22:1-3)
(1Cor.10:17; Luke 8:15; Matt.13:37-38)
(John13:20; 1Cor.4:1; John21:17; Luke12:42)

SECOND:
Lastly you ask, "how may non-anointed...become anointed?"

Non-anointed become anointed, because God chooses them to be so. That assignment is not something that we can aspire to, or attain on our own.
We recall that we previously looked at the apostles as being "first"... the foundation of God's spiritual Temple. Did they choose that position and earn it in some way?
Well, John 6:70 shows that they were chosen. (John15:16)
If you read in the Bible, the accounts of their individual choosing, you will see that they did not anticipate when Jesus approached and chose them. It is the same when we are anointed, and Jesus circumcises our heart (Rom.2:28-29; Col.2:11NIV ). The event is unexpected and miraculous.
-------------------

You brought up the distinction between the 144,000 and the Great Crowd; yet your questions did not really probe the distinction between their circumstances, nor how their responsibilities differ.

The 144000 reign with Christ DURING the symbolic thousand years (Rev.20:6). They exercise their authority to represent Christ, in the time during which, Jesus is subduing his enemies through the anointed (Mount Zion -Rev.14:1; Psalm 110:2) (Luke22:69; Ps.110:1-2; 1Cor.15:25).

When that symbolic 1,000 year period ends, Satan is released from the abyss.
He goes off to wage war with the remaining anointed (Rev20:7-9; 17:14; 12:17).
That enmity between Satan and his minions, against Christ and his faithful, is the period of time called the Great Tribulation which evolves into Armageddon.
That is the era during which the Great Crowd exist (Rev.7:9,13,14,15).

We read above in 1Cor.15:25 that Jesus rules until all enemies are subdued beneath his feet. Obviously, when Satan is released, gathers his forces, and attacks the anointed... all enemies are not yet subdued.
1Cor.15:26 tells us that the very last enemy is "Death". That is the enemy that the Great Crowd must overcome, with Christ's help. That enemy emerges during the 4th watch. You can see God's watchman sound the warning as that enemy approaches, at Rev.6:7NKJV and Rev.6:8NKJV

The anointed kings under Christ are always charged with bringing Christ to those who want and accept him.
The 144000 do that during Satan being restrained in the abyss.
The Great Crowd must do that when Satan is loosed.

How does the Wicked Steward beat his Fellow Slaves?

Luke 12: "45 But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk."

Prov.19: "29 Penalties are prepared for mockers,
and beatings for the backs of fools."

From these two previously cited verses, we see that the essence of the steward's beatings, is to condemn and punish as fools, those who are genuine servants of Christ.

-- What did Jesus have to say, about publicly condemning his own servants, as fools?
(I am going to add the deeper meanings of the Greek)

Matt.5: "22 But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister[without real cause] will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults[demeans/publicly humiliates] his brother or sister [without real cause] will be subject to the court. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to Gehenna [lake of fire/second death].

By our being thrown out of the congregation, condemned as spiritual fools, and slandered as servants of Satan;
we are beaten by the wicked steward
(John16:2; Isa.57:1-2; 66:5-6; Rev.11:3,7-9; Isa.34:3).

As we know from Rev.20:10; the false prophet and her beast, ARE thrown into the Lake of Fire... just as Matt.5:22WEB states.
Satan is thrown there to suffer "day and night" also (Rev.20:10), because he also  slanders God's servants, "day and night" (Rev.12:10).

Jesus said that how we judge, we will be judged (Matt.7:2; Rev.18:6).

The wicked steward condemns the faithful as fools.
Prov.10:18 judges that slanderer, as a fool...
"The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,
and whoever spreads slander is a fool."

1John3: "14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death. 15 Everyone who hates his brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him."
(Matt.5:21-22)
Rev.3: "1 “Write to the messenger of the church in Sardis: Thus says the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works; you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead."
