Coming to Life

A QUESTION:
In revelation 20:4 in the kjv it says people have been beheaded and
are getting white robes and are crying out to God. That sounds like the immortal soul idea.
But if you read revelation 20:5, it says some of the other dead didn't come back to life until the 1000 years were over.
This sounds like the soul coming back to life idea.
So which one is right? Both or either or?
-------------------------

MY REPLY:

I think you may be thinking of Rev.6:9,10,11.
They are the ones given white robes and are crying out, after being slain.

Rev.20:4 and Rev.6:11 does not say that those in white robes, were never dead.
It says they had died, and then, "came to life".
They then "reign" (2Tim.2:12), "sit on thrones" (Matt.19:28; Rev.3:21; Eph.2:6), and have "authority to judge" (John 20:21,22,23;  1Cor.6:1,2,3) and they do this, during Christ's thousand year kingdom (Luke 22:69; Ps.110:1,2;  1Cor.15:25).
In fact, it says that they were beheaded. If you look more closely at Rev.20:5, it actually reads that "the rest of the dead" did not attain life, until after the first group.
Do you not see that if the second group is "the rest of the dead"... that the first group was also dead?
Before you conclude that this is speaking of physical life and death, consider Rom.5:12,17; Eph.2:1,2.
These two groups come to life, when they accept and obey, the teachings of Christ
(John 6:54,57,58,63;  1Pet.1:23) which birth, is by means of a death (Gal.6:14; Col.2:20;  1John 5:4; Mark 8:35).

Continuing in it's description of Rev.20:5 "the rest" do not come to life until after the thousand years. Regarding the first group, the end of verse 4 states; "And they lived and reigned with Christ during the thousand years".
Can you see that the difference in coming to life, is not about an immortal soul, but rather,
when the two different groups, come to life?
--The first group is "during the thousand years".
--The second group, "after the thousand years have ended".
During the interval between the two
   the first group is alive,
the second group is not yet alive.
It is not because one group is immortal and the other is not.

The most important thing to note in Rev.20:4,5, is WHY both groups, come to life.
Let's start with the group that are already alive, and see why.
They were beheaded, and given a white robe. AS we will see, this indicates why they have gained life.
Please compare that to Rev.6:9,10,11.

There we learn that a white robe is given for the righteous act of dying for Christ and truth (Mark 8:35; Rev.19:8), which the first group of Rev.20:4 has already done.
Apparently the second group, did not do that yet... But they will, after the "thousand years" have ended Rev.20:5). That later group is the same as those mentioned, at Rev.6:11.

Please continue to compare Rev.6:9,10,11 to Rev.20:4,5 until you perceive the two different groups mentioned in both citations, clearly.
The two eras that each group comes to life in, is also noted at Rev.1:19.

We begin to see what is required to gain a white robe (and eternal life), and that the first group achieves the required goal first. Then there is a second group, who attains the required goal, after the first group.

Is dying for divine truth, really a required goal in order to gain eternal life?

Rom.6:5 reads;
"For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his."

Were the martyrs in Rev.20:4 who were "beheaded", united with Christ in a death like his?
Well, why were they killed?
"And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God."

Of Jesus, John 8:40 Reads;
"As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God."
As we know, the Jewish leaders did kill Christ, for declaring God's truths.

Note what Jesus told us, at Mark 8:35...
"For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it."
(he-who-seeks-to-save-his-life-will-lose)
There Jesus tells us, that if we lose our life for the gospel (the truths of God), we will, as a result, gain our life.

So, those beheaded, gained life. They suffered a death for the truths of God.
Not only did they declare those truths, they believed them and lived by them.

Of such ones, Jesus said;
"Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." (John 5:24)
What kind of life?
Was this life... an indefinite extension of physical life, or an eternal spiritual life?

"Jesus answered “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit." (John 3:6)

"The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life." (John 6:63)

Have you discerned from these scriptures, that life results from faith in the words of Christ (the truths of God),
--when a testimony about that faith is given...
--a death like Christ, follows that testimony,
---and this all results in the granting of spirit life by God's spirit?...
...even while we yet reside in our flesh (Rom.8:9-11,12-14; John 8:51).

You may wonder then, "How one can be alive physically, if they have already "died" for the truth?"
Note Rom.8:13 (and Col.3:5,6; Gal.5:24) to see that there are "deaths" other than physical.
A "death" for truth, also results, by the hand of those with whom we battle (2Cor. 10:4,5,6; Rev.17:14)... Satan's agents of religious deception (John 16:2; 8:40) have the power to expel and condemn as worthy of a spiritual death, those against whom they bring false charges (usually blasphemy, sedition, heresy, or apostasy) (Matt.26:65,66; John 12:42; 9:22; 16:2; Rom.6:5; John 15:20).

We learn by Rom.6:5, that in order to attain such a spirit life, we must be willing to die like Christ, for testifying to those words of life and truth.
This is confirmed, at Rev.6:9-11, where we hear of others who have died such a faithful death, who are also, crying out.
Note what reply is given to them...

"When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been."

The "full number" of God's witnesses, must be killed for the word of God and a testimony to it.
Only when that full number is completed, will God's judgment and vengeance arrive.
Spirit life results from a death for truth (Mark 8:35).
Those already killed and crying out, have already attained their spirit life (Rev.20:4).
They are waiting for the "rest" "to be killed, just as they had been", so that "the rest" also, can come to life (Rev.20:5).

Since these killed ones (at Rev.6:9,10,11) are also speaking, we can safely conclude the truthfulness of Christ's words,
that they have "passed over from death to life" (John 5:24).
It is crucial that we keep in mind, that such eternal life is spiritual, not physical.

Review scriptures: (Rev.1:19; 6:10,11; 20:4,5; Rom.6:5; Mark 8:35; John 6:63; 5:24; 8:51)
-  -  -  -  -  -  -

You ask about "an immortal soul idea".
Well, had these martyrs not proven faithful, they would not have gained eternal spirit life.
They gained it after spirit granted it to them, as a reward,
based upon their "deaths" for truth (Mark 8:35; James 1:12; Rev.2:10).
They did not already possess it, but it was given to them.
An eternal spirit, is a reward for those who faithfully conquer the world and it's persecutions
(Rev.21:7; 22:14; 2:17; 3:19,20,21).
This idea of gaining spirit life as a reward for a faithful testimony to truth, unto the death...can also be seen, if we look at three scriptures...

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life, that the Lord has promised to those who love him." (James 1:12)

"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor's crown." (Rev.2:10)

"I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. (Rev.3:11)

Can you see that our reward of eternal spiritual life, is compared to a crown?
Note that it is given to those who prove their love for Christ by being faithful, even to the point of death (Rev.12:10,11).
Note too, that such a crown can be taken away.

Since the life possessed by the martyrs in Rev.20:4, has been achieved through faithfulness,
there was a time in their lives, before that faithful witness and death was accomplished, correct?

Such ones did not always have that gift of life.
It was only given to them, after they had proven faithful.
Before they were granted spiritual life, they were still spiritually dead.
Remembering this, helps us with Rev.20:5...
"The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended."

So,
our first group of martyrs, "came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.".
Clearly,
they attained living spirit during the symbolic "thousand years".
They were faithful witnesses of the truths of God and Christ, and died for that testimony, during Christ's "thousand year" reign.

Not so those in Rev.20:5, of which we read;
"The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years had ended."

"The rest of the dead" indicates that the first group had also been spiritually dead,
but they "came to life" during the "Thousand Years".
This second group "did not come to life until the thousand years were ended".
So this second group, also comes to life.
The difference, is  when.

It will not be possible for you to understand these two verses, if you are viewing life and death as physical.
Not only are these verses speaking of life as spiritual;
they are speaking of death, as spiritual.

One can be alive or dead in a spiritual sense, even while physically alive.
Some examples of being spiritually dead, while physically alive, are:

"To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead." (Rev.3:1)
Here Jesus is speaking to someone physically alive, yet is considered by Christ, to be spiritually dead.
That person has not yet, "come to life".

"The widow who lives for pleasure is dead, even while she lives." (1Tim. 5:6).
(See also Eph.2:1,5; Col.2:12,13)

And so,
when we read Rev.20:4,5,
we see that there are witnesses of God who are given the gift of spiritual life during two different time periods.

The first group to share in Christ's resurrection to spirit (1Pet. 3:18; Rom.8:9; Mark 8:35; John 16:2), are killed for their testimony and receive spirit life during Christ's thousand year reign.
-  -  -  -  -  -  -

The "rest" of those to receive such a reward (Rev.20:5), (who are also mentioned at Rev.6:11);
receive their eternal spirit lives for their testimony to the death,
after Christ's thousand year reign.

Why is this?
Well, if you read more of Rev.20, we learn in verse 7, that Satan is let out of the abyss at the end of that "Thousand years". He has an alliance working with him (Rev.20:8,10) which alliance is also described in various other depictions, throughout Revelation.

Verses 8-10 go on to explain the result of Satan's release
 (also shown at Rev.16:13,14,15,16; 17:14).

At the end of the thousand years and Satan's release,
there is a widespread and all consuming deception, released by Satan and his two agents...
the Wild Beast and the false prophet.
Scripture discloses that God's people are completely devoured by this great force
(Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24,20; Rev.20:7-9).
They are unable to "come to life" through a death for truth...
(receive their "crown"/get "sealed" as slaves of God),
...while under the influence and dominion of Satanic deception through his agents, during the Great Tribulation (Rev.9:6).
(LINK)**
Rev.13:7 confirms...
"The Wild Beast ("locust-scorpion" collective**) was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation."
Dan.7:21,25; 8:11,12,17,19,24,25; 11:31-32,33,34,35,36,37;  2Thess.2:4;  1Cor.3:16

Those who are faithful servants of God and His laws, are symbolically marked as such (Deut.11:18).
Those conquered by the Beast, submit to it, and receive it's mark on their forehead (Rev.13:16,15).
(what-is-mark-of-beast?)
Any who refuse to render such worship to the Beast's Image, are killed (Rev.13:15).
If any were to wake up, and take a stand against the lies of the Beast (in order to testify to God's truths), they would,
like the faithful martyrs before them, be killed (Rev.11:3,7; 13:10; 6:11; Matt.5:11,12).
It was the same in the first century (John 9:22; 7:13; Matt.23:29,30,31,34,35,36,37,38).
So it is the same, today (Rev.18:24; John 16:2; Rev.11:3,7).

Yet those who receive spirit life after Satan's release (and after the thousand years), would be "coming to life" "after the thousand years have ended", just as Rev.20:5 stated.

For more confirmation of this interpretation,
let us return to the latter half of verse 4;
In speaking of those resurrected first...
"They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

Note that those who gained spirit life first,
never worshiped the Beast or it's image, and had not received it's mark.
The Beast had not yet been released from the abyss along with Satan (Rev.20:7).
Yet after the thousand years ends, Satan is released...
and his Beast and False prophet then emerge in the era of the second group. (Rev.16:13,14;  1Tim.4:1).
They succeed in conquering and slave-marking, the Chosen Elect (Matt.24:24,25; Rev.13:7).

Previous to their waking up, repenting, and giving testimony (Matt.25:5,6,7; Rev.11:3; Joel 1:13),
God's chosen ones alive in this post-thousand year period,
were still spiritually dead (Eph.2:1,13; John 3:18).
They do not come to life, until they conquer their circumstances...
the final, great machination of Satan, against them (Rev.12:17; 13:7,10).
They too must give their testimony, and be killed
(Rev.11:3,7; 12:10-11; 6:11; Mark 8:35; Rom.6:5;  1Pet. 3:18; Rev.15:2).

The Bible defines that final great assault, as the "Great Tribulation".

This is why the faithful who reign with Christ during the "Thousand Years", are depicted separately from those anointed priests who gain life during the Great Tribulation. (compare Rev.7:4 to Rev.7:9,14,17)

To grasp the truth about the thousand years, life, death, resurrection, and tribulation...
you must first adopt a spiritual viewpoint, and realize that it is just as Jesus said...
"the flesh counts for nothing" (John 6:63).

I hope my reply has given you a clear answer, sourced in the Bible.
The difference between the two groups cited at Rev.20:4-5,
is not IF they always had a living spirit...
But WHEN they receive that gift, and how.

Thank you for your good question, and if any question remains,

"He who seeks to save his life, will lose it."

A comment which was left after (who-really-can-be-saved)
-  -  -  -  -  -  -  -
Dear Pearl and others,
I thought about the idea that ones in the Watchtower who do not allow themselves to be killed by it in disfellowshipping. Surely we can compare to 1st century and Christ said his followers would be persecuted and killed but not every Christian was put to death but generally speaking none escaped some form of persecution. So these ones may not be of the number who are killed does not mean they subject to the beast?
-  -  -  -  -  -

My Reply:

If they do not get killed, are they subject to Jesus Christ?
(Mark 8:35; 13:13; Matt.25:5-6; Heb.13:13; John 16:2; Rev.12:11; 6:9-10,11; Rom.6:5;  2Cor.4:10)

In the first century... every "Christian" who did not obey Jesus and flee Jerusalem (Matt. 24:15,16), likely died under God's disfavor for their disobedience, when Jerusalem was destroyed.
The destruction of the Beast and false prophet, is also certain (Rev. 20:10) as is the destruction of all who remain under their influence (Rev. 13:8; 20:15; Eze. 14:10) or do not get out
(Rev. 18:4; Luke 21:21,22; Isa. 52:11; 48:20; Jer. 51:6; Ps. 26:4;  1Cor. 10:21;  2Cor. 6:16,17).

For what reason, would any Christian remain in first century Jerusalem, despite Christ's warning?
Would it not be because his words at Matt. 23:38 and Matt. 21:43 were not taken to heart?
Jesus made plain, that the Jewish system was about to end (Matt. 24:2), and that God's favor and spirit was no longer with it.
That is the stark reality today, regarding the "Watchtower" (WT-crumble).

So,
for what reason would someone stay inside?
Those "not perceiving" the "Watchtower's" standing with God, are still in darkness (What-is-Hades?).
Why would anyone have a reason to remain inside an organization condemned by God, and about to be destroyed,
unless they were still under it's deluding influence?...not taking seriously the warnings of Christ? (John 14:15)
(Rev. 13:8,14,15; Matt. 24:4,5,24,25; Rev. 14:9,10,11; 18:4; Luke 21:21,22)

The influence of the Beast upon one's heart, is made evident and manifest, by the symbolic mark of "666", on your forehead and hand.
Those who were still swayed by the physical appearance of Jerusalem in the first century (previous to it's destruction), could also have that influence made evident, by their reluctance to leave (Luke 21:5,6,12,13,15,16,17,19).

Jesus warned his disciples, to "Flee"... comparing that exodus to Lot fleeing "Sodom" (Luke 17:26,27,28,29,30,31,32; Rev. 11:8).
Was it enough that Lot did not agree with the corruption he saw around him? (2Pet. 2:7,8)
Would that have saved his life from God's fire and sulfur that turned Sodom to ashes?
Or, did Lot need to "get out"?
(Gen. 19:12-13,15,17,24,25,26,27,28,29; Jer. 51:6; Rev. 18:4)

Jesus also made clear, when to flee, at Matt. 24:15,16 and Mark 13:14.
If we are capable of perceiving that the abomination (man of lawlessness 2Thess. 2:4) is now over the Holy Place (God's Temple 1Cor. 3:16) (Disgstg-thing);
then what are we waiting for ?...
...if not under the spell of a deceptive aura,
a veneer of divinity leading the unwary to destruction (Luke 21:36),
      a lethal facade,
      a demonic guise and hoax,
      inebriation by the harlot's sorcery
...convincing it's victims that they should remain inside the abomination for some reason?
Would you justify remaining inside a Catholic Church, a mosque, or some other temple, if you knew God commanded you to get out?
Do you view the "Watchtower" as  somehow different from those? If so, why?
Of all places, it is most deserving of God's wrath (WTs-end) (winepress) because it is lead by those who were in, but broke, a covenant with God (Rev. 21:9,10; Isa. 1:21; Rev. 17:6; Matt. 23:37,35; Rev. 18:24; 13:15; 11:7; 6:9,10,11; 19:2).
Please examine your heart carefully, as to why, like Lot's wife, one should look back to Sodom (Rev. 11:8).

Lot's wife's heart, was somehow attached to that abhorrent city. She was not wholehearted in her willingness to leave it all behind.
Was she attached to something good?

We cannot serve two masters (1King 18:21).
We either cherish the lifesaving truth of Christ, who mercifully extends his saving guidance;
or we diminish that truth, as secondary to false reasoning
(Jer. 51:7; Col. 2:8; Rev. 13:10,7; Luke 21:24).

Though you say that not all Christians lost their lives in the first century...
every single one of the faithful did lose their lives (symbolically) within the corrupt Jewish system. They were condemned by the religious leaders as heretics, apostates, and blasphemers who were deserving of death. Those condemned and cast off, were then treated as dead, by all followers. Their previous life was over.
(John 9:22; 12:42; 16:2; Luke 12:8,9; Mark 8:35; 13:13; Heb. 13:13).
(symbolic+death+for+truth)
The requirement for faithfulness before Christ, is the same today
(2Cor. 11:2,3,4; Rev. 2:20; 6:9,10,11; 12:10,11;  1John 2:14; Rev. 2:7; 3:12,21) (1Pet. 4:12,13,14;  2Cor. 1:5; Phil. 3:10,11).

Please meditate on Christ and God's words, about the reality and necessity of our sacrifice:
[John 12:24,25; Rev. 6:9,11; (Eze. 33:6; Rev. 19:15); Phil. 3:10; Rom. 6:5; 8:17; (Matt. 16:24; Gal. 3:13; Heb. 13:13); Mark 8:35].
Of course we know that thus far, this death today, is not literal.
If we shrink back
(Heb. 10:38) from declaring truth and the
       "death" which naturally must follow (Rev. 13:15);
what are we gaining? (Matt. 16:25,26,27; Mark 8:36,37,38).
If we belong to Christ, we will confess his saving truths before men, and die for it
(Eph.4:25; Luke 9:26; 22:28; Rev. 14:4,5;  1Pet. 2:21).
If we remain silent, then we are still in subjection to the law of the Beast... which decrees and enforces, that no doctrine but the Beast's, may be exchanged (Rev. 13:16,17)(buying-and-selling).
If we cower before that law, we disobey Christ's counsel (Rev. 3:18; Matt. 25:14; 13:52; 25:25,28,30;  2Tim. 1:7,8;  2Cor. 4:1,2; 10:5; Eph. 4:25; Matt. 5:14) ("Lukewarm"), and are still marked by the laws of the Beast.

So when you ask;
"These ones may not be of the number who are killed does not mean they subject to the beast?"...
How can anyone obey Christ by sharing the truth, and not be condemned to spiritual death within the organization?
How can anyone avoid organizational death, unless they are, "subject to the Beast"?
(John 9:22; 12:42; 16:2; Luke 12:8,9; Mark 8:35).
(symbolic+death+for+truth)
I hope you can perceive that in our time, escaping death for truth is not possible for those faithful,
just as Jesus foretold (Mark 8:35).
(keep-awake) (hide-or-herald/stay-or-flee) (fear-of-men-lays-snare)

What was Lot's wife willing to give up, "in exchange for her soul"?
(Mark 8:36-37,38)
Not enough, and so, she lost it.
Are we willing to give up an abomination causing desolation to God's children,
and fully obey Christ's warning to flee,
or not?
As far as where we need to flee to, Jesus gave us that information.
Please see this link: "Flee! - Where?"

Regardless of our own reasoning (Prov. 3:5,6;  1Tim. 6:20;  1Cor. 3:18; James 1:22,23,24,25; Prov. 28:26; Matt. 4:4);
...If we remain inside the "city" (Rev. 17:18; 11:8) (kings-of-earth);
our mark of citizenship to it, is made manifest before God and men (Mal. 3:18; Joel 3:14; James 1:12; Rev. 3:11).

Reigning During the Thousand Years

Question received:
Pearl, You said the thousand years began in the first century.
Did this occur after Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 4:8 or am I confusing two different subjects/events?

My Reply:

Jesus' kingdom of a symbolic thousand years, began ruling in the first century:
(Acts 7:55; Luke 22:69; Rev.3:21; Ps.110:1; * 1Cor. 15:25 * Mark 16:19)
"right hand":
(Gen.48:18; Ex.15:6; Ps.17:7; 45:4; 80:17; 108:6; 118:16; Acts 2:33; 5:31; Heb.8:1-2;  1Pet. 3:22)
By being seated at God's right hand; Jesus is the one through whom God's purpose is accomplished (Eph.1:20; Ex.15:6; Ps.17:7; 20:6; 21:8).
Even we today, may refer to our "right-hand man" (1Chron. 6:39; Ps.45:4; 98:1)
Jesus also has those, through whom he works (Rev.1:20; 5:6; 22:16; John 20:21; 13:20)

The 144K reign with Jesus, during his thousand year kingdom
(John 20:21-23; Rev.20:6).
During that era, Jesus inducts and assigns the kings over which he is king (Rev.19:16; 5:10). They receive a dominion akin to his own... "not of this world" (John 18:36-37; 17:16).
They receive a spiritual glory... filled with grace and truth (John 1:14,17; 14:6; 18:37), empowered with a command over the forces of deception
(Luke 10:17-18,19-20; Eph.6:10-12; 4:25; 5:11;  1John 4:6;  2Cor. 10:3-5; 13:8;  1Thess. 2:13).
It is they who are on the side of truth, that heed the voice of their king (John 18:36-37 NKJV )

The "thousand year" reign is not eternal, nor does it remove Satan's dominion over Satan's world. It simply imparts to those anointed as royal priests, an assignment and the resources to accomplish that ministry of grace and truth. Those who accept and respond to Christ's royal ambassadors (John13:20; Matt.10:20,40-41), are set free from the power of the Devil within their own lives.
(Mark 13:34; Matt.25:14-15; Luke 19:13; Matt.25:19-21,24-26,27-30; Luke 16:10).

Those who prove trustworthy and faithful with the property of their master (Luke 12:42-44; 16:10) will later be entrusted and rewarded with an everlasting position, in the Kingdom of God.
That greater responsibility given those who were tested, sealed, and approved, will be assigned after all the enemies of Christ are conquered, including Satan and his reign over this world
(1Cor. 15:25-26,24;  1John 5:19; 2:17; Rev.11:15; Dan.7:22,27).

During Christ's thousand year kingdom, the authority, capacity, and duties of his under-kings include:
*judging ( 1Cor. 6:2-3; John 20:21-23),
*emissaries for Christ their king ...as ministers of reconciliation with God,
becoming rulers of God's grace and Truth (as Jesus' reign, was)
*authority and power over the darkness, demons, and Satan
    (2Cor. 5:18-20; Luke 10:16-21; Matt.13:11; John 1:14; 17:22; 18:36-37).
That is the nature of a kingdom that is not of this world.
It holds the power of the light of Christ (John 8:12), to both... save souls (Rom.1:16), and to battle against Satan's dark power to deceive and thereby, kill (2Cor. 4:3-4;  2Thess. 2:9-10).
This royal spiritual authority and power is bestowed upon those of the anointed Elect, by Christ (Eph.1:3,6,11-12,18-20,21-23).

Those who prove faithful with that assignment... and prove victorious, despite unrelenting, Satanic resistance and persecution, will receive a future, eternal kingdom with Christ.
Such testing, conquering, sealing, and ruling for grace and truth, has been occurring since the 1st century (Rev.3:21; Eph.2:6). Likewise, the role of anointed priest has existed since then (1Pet. 2:5,9-10; Rev.5:9-10; John 20:21-23).

So then, how are we to interpret Paul's words, at 1Cor. 4:8?
1Cor.4:8 reads;
"Now ye are full (lit. satiated), now ye are
rich, ye have reigned as kings
without us: and I would to God
ye did reign, that we also might
reign with you."

The interpretation of Paul's words that was given to us by the WT, asserts that...
those who were reigning, were reigning without Paul reigning.

Look closer.
I will dissect it.
First Paul says;
"Now ye are full (lit. satiated), now ye are
rich"
Paul is making reference...
NOT to a spiritual reign that includes authority over the demonic forces or the ability to forgive sins and bestow life through grace and truth...
but a reign that is rooted in physical, worldly blessings.
It is the sort of reign that Jesus referred to at Rev.3:17.
The design by which the anointed fall into this trap and receive this fleshly reign, is by failing the satanic test that Jesus first encountered, at Luke 4:5-7
(1John 2:15; Luke 22:31;  2Cor. 13:5; James 4:4).

Next,
"ye have reigned as kings
without us"
Those who Paul was addressing, were reigning in a physical way... riches, tangible power to control those who obey and serve them, respect and prestige, physical comfort and excess (Deut.32:15; Luke 12:45; Rev.17:6; 18:7).
A reign over physical creation, is not due until after the end of this world. Until Satan is taken out of the way; the faithful and their royal spiritual position, are to be no part of this world.
Yes, a spiritual reign to champion God's grace and truth, with the ability to debase the demons and Satan himself, is not a reign over or within, Satan's world (John 18:36; 17:16). The time for the faithful saints to receive such a reign over a physical creation, was not in the first century. That is an inheritance that is bestowed upon those who have proven faithful, at Christ's return... at the start of the everlasting Kingdom of God.
(The 1,000 years is the period during which the administration is being tested,
sifted as to fitness, and gathered in. -Matt.25:14,19,21; Eph. 1:10).
God's everlasting kingdom is the reward to those who were faithful with the "little" they were responsible for, during Christ's kingdom
(Dan.7:9-10; Rev.20:12; Dan.7:13; Rev.5:1,6-7,12; Dan.7:14,20-22,27; 2:44; Matt.25:23; Luke 12:42-44). Under God's Kingdom, is when the faithful slaves inherit the physical creation away from Satan (Rev.11:15)... when Satan no longer reigns over the world, or over creation (Rom.8:18-21; Rev.21:2-3; 22:1-3; Eph.1:10).
The wicked are then, gone (Rev.21:1; Isa.57:20; Ps.37:10).

That everlasting physical reign for the faithful anointed, was NOT for the 1st century.
Those who lack spirit, endurance, and patience, and accept an immediate position in Satan's world, are reigning in a physical, worldly way, without the faithful. Those who prove unfaithful, reign within this world, enticed by physical power and riches.
They imitate Esau (Gen.25:29,32,34; 27:30,34,37-38; Heb.12:16; Rom.9:13-14).
Many Bible characters of the past, like Esau, are likewise a pattern for God's standard for judgment
(Job 42:7-8,9-10; Gen.37:5-6,7-8,13,15-18,23-24,26,28,36; 43:26),
to also be applied in the time of the end (Rev.3:9; Isa.60:14; Rom.15:4).
The faithful who reign with Christ, are grateful to do so in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24; Matt.6:19-21;  1John 2:17), knowing that their hope and endurance, are not in vain.

Those who reign in a physical way while Satan is still the ruler of the physical world, reign with an authority and power resting upon the showy display of one's means of life... the desire of the eyes, riches, power, prominence, followers, adoration.... these things do not originate with God, but with the wicked one (1John 2:16; 5:19).
We can be sure that this is the worldly reign that Paul was referring to at  1Cor. 4:8, because we just need to consider the context
The verses to follow, portray a contrasting comparison between
the enticements and blessings of a reign within Satan's world,
and the genuine appearance of the royal authority and power that is sourced in Christ.....
"9 For I think that God hath set
forth us the apostles last,
as those appointed to death: for
we are made a spectacle unto
the world, and to angels, and to
men.
10 We [are] fools for Christ's sake, but ye [are] wise in Christ; we [are] weak, but ye [are] strong; ye [are] honored, but we [are] despised. 11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;
12 We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; 13 when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world – right up to this moment."
(Mark 13:13; John 16:2; Rom.8:17;  2Cor. 1:5;  1Pet. 4:13; 5:9,1; Luke 22:28-29)

As we see above in the example of Paul; the faithful slaves, follow the model and footsteps of Christ
(1Pet. 2:21; John 14:6; 15:20).
Jesus was hated, persecuted, and killed for truth by the leaders who accepted a worldly reign
(as described above at 1Cor. 4:10) (Luke1 1:43; Matt.23:27,25).
Those faithful to Christ, pick up their torture stake and follow him to the death... joining him in being despised, defamed, and killed as a criminal
(1Pet. 2:21; Matt.10:38-39; Luke 22:28; Matt.25:6; Heb.13:13; Mark 13:13; Rev.11:7-10; 6:9-11).
In such faithful endurance (Rev.14:12), they share in the glory of Christ's integrity and kingdom (John 12:23-27,31-32; 17:22; 1:14)
(Rom.8:17; 6:5)
So, when Paul said "you have reigned as kings without us", he was not saying that he himself did not have a spiritual reign. He was saying that those who accept a physical reign, reign prematurely over the physical, and they do so, without the faithful. ("You have reigned as kings, without us" - 1Cor. 4:8).

The next part of 1Cor. 4:8 is very illuminating for those paying close attention.
Paul said next; "How I wish that you really had begun to reign".
Now we might assume, due to our WT indoctrination, that this is saying that these kings were not really reigning because any genuine reign was yet out of reach.
Not necessarily.
If a spiritual reign with Christ was within reach, but these unfaithful hearers had not yet "conquered" to attain it (see Rev.3:21; 17:12;  1John 5:4) due to their compromise to the enticements of the world...
...then Paul's words would also apply in that case.
Those reigning in a worldly, physical way, have not yet overcome the enticements of the flesh
(Gal.5:17; Rom.8:13,9;  1John 5:4; Eph.4:22;  1Cor. 13:11; Eph.4:13),
and are failing to attain a reign with Christ (John 17:16; Luke 22:28-29; Rev.3:21).

The verse ends with Paul saying;
"How I wish that you really had begun to reign so that we also might reign with you!"
Is Paul really saying here that he himself is not reigning?
That may seem to be one possibility, but not if we accept the facts that Jesus started reigning in the 1st century, and his 144K reigned with him during their own lifetimes within that era. In light of those facts, Paul's words have been misinterpreted by the WT.

Let me offer you 2 other possible interpretations of Paul's words "so that we might also reign with you".
The first, is that IF these unfaithful were really reigning in God's eternal and physical kingdom to come; then Paul and all faithful anointed, could also be reigning in the physical realm, over all creation.
That would be an understandable desire and wish of Paul.

The second, is that if Paul was already reigning with Christ in his 'thousand year' spiritual kingdom,
it would be his natural desire that these unfaithful were also being faithful (like Paul), so that they could rule alongside Paul.

That interpretation is difficult to see, without removing our previous indoctrination.
I'll try to make it clearer...
Imagine that there is a graduating class of high school seniors.
Those who did not pass their exams, will not be a part of the commencement ceremony.
They may have lied, and said that they would be.
One of the true graduates may say to one who failed, "How I wish you were really graduating, so that I might graduate with you.".
If we read that 2 students are not graduating together, that does not mean that neither are graduating.
Can you see that this can be said ("I wish you were really graduating, so that I might graduate with you."),
without inferring that the one graduating, is not?
Paul was merely saying that he wished that the unfaithful had kept integrity and therefore, were really reigning presently with Christ, so that Paul could reign with them in the current "thousand year" kingdom.

He could have also meant (according to the first option), that he wished the physical kingdom of God over all creation, had really arrived (which physical reign the unfaithful took, prematurely under Satan), ...so that Paul could also presently reign in that eternal kingdom over all creation, which God will bestow in the future on the faithful that Jesus will identify and reward, at his return, after Armageddon.

These are the optional meanings of Paul's words, which are in harmony with the other scriptures.
Any interpretation that discounts other Bible truths, is not an option. Truth does not contradict itself. If our interpretation of a verse does not harmonize with the rest, we must change our interpretation of it. Multiple scriptures make clear that Jesus began his reign in the 1st century, and it was during that reign, that the 144k also faithfully manifested their authority and power of spirit, light, grace, and truth.

"Now ye are full (lit. satiated/glutted), now ye are
rich (Matt.6:1-2,5,19-21; 19:23-24)(they compromised to Satan -Matt.4:9),
ye have reigned as kings (in the world/physical)
without us: and I would wish to God
ye did reign  [faithfully, in the present with Christ (with spirit, grace and truth)],
that we (the reigning faithful) also might reign with you."

and I would wish to God
you were reigning [within the eternal, future Kingdom of God for the proven and sealed faithful], that we also might reign with you. (...Our future hope finally realized, God's promised reward, bestowed upon those who have endured -Matt.24:13; Rom.8:24-25,28,30,35-37;  2Cor. 4:10)"

Neither of those interpretations assert, that Paul was not reigning with Christ.
The interpretation that asserts that Paul was not reigning, nullifies many other scriptures and so, is error.

What's wrong with "peace and security"?

1Thess.5:2,3,4 reads:
"for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief."
(Jer.4:10)
What do we learn from these verses?
We learn that the "day of the Lord"'s inspection will not be expected by those who are "in darkness". That darkness will allow a sense of "peace and safety" which will prove to be a snare. (Amos 5:18)
From these two facts,
we understand that there is a danger, which those in darkness will not recognize, as they enjoy a false sense of security.
This perilous perspective is prophesied to occur, in "the day of the Lord"...
the time in which the scroll of Revelation takes place (1Thess.5:2; Rev.1:10).

The Greek word used by Paul for “peace” is “eirene”.
This word is used in the New Testament as an equivalent of the Hebrew
word “schalom”, which often occurs in the Old Testament.
Schalom did not merely refer to “peace” in the political sense, but especially
and primarily, to God’s good will toward men, “God’s peace” / peace with God.

Paul’s use of the expression “Peace  (eirene) and safety” is
commonly supposed to be an allusion to Jeremiah’s words about the
Jews of his time at Jer.5:14 (NIV) ; (Jer.23:29; Matt.10:20; Rev.11:3,5)
and Jer.8:11; 14:13-14:
“They have healed also the hurt of my people slightly, saying,
Peace, peace; when there is no peace" (with God) (due to their "hurting" God's people - 1Pet.2:10,9,5;  1Cor.3:16-17)...."But, "Ah, Lord GOD!" I said, "Look, the prophets are telling them, 'You will not see the sword nor will you have famine, but I will give you lasting peace in this place.'" Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds."

As in Jeremiah's day, a "false prophet" is also among God's people (Rev.19:20; 13:11,7; 16:13; 20:10; Dan.11:31,33; Rev.13:10,8; Dan.8:11-12,13-24;  2Thess.2:4,8) (Link:"False-Teachers"). If the spiritual reality is actually one of danger and divine condemnation (Luke 21:8,12,16-17,21-22,36,24; Col.2:8; Rev.2:10; 13:10,7; Matt.24:24-25,15-16;  2Thess.2:3-4) (1Pet.4:17; Luke 21:36; Rev.6:17; 14:19; Jer.25:30,29) then where would these people (in the time of the end) get the impression that their standing with God, is peaceful and secure?
God's Word tells us...
Jer.5:30,31,12; 8:11; 23:16,17,21,22,32; Rev.16:13; 13:11,12,14,15,8,4;  1Tim.4:1.
The prominent prophets among God's people are false. They are the ones who mislead God's people into a false sense of peace with God and security from the enemy
(Eze.13:10; Dan.9:26; Rev.12:15; Luke 21:9; Rev.19:11,14; 17:14;  2Chron.16:9;  1Thess.5:3,2).
This is a repeat to the situation back when God's people were captive to the king of Babylon.
This "king of Babylon" identity is prophetically fulfilled in Leviathan/Satan; and captivity to "Babylonian" figures is the fulfillment taking place in the Lord's day (Rev.9:11; 13:10; 17:5,15,18).

This prophesy corresponds to the events to befall God's people (the anointed) during the Lord's Day. They too are captive to "Babylon the Great" and it's *king (Rev.9:11; 12:17; 13:7,10; 11:2), through their association with
*Babylon's Queen (BTG --Rev.18:7),
*her harlot daughters (Rev.16:13,15; 17:5,15,18; 18:4,3),
and Satan's *"son of destruction" (the "man of lawlessness"/"Wild Beast") (2Thess.2:3-4; Rev.9:7; 13:1,5-6,7-8,10). God's Temple is being "trampled" by Gentiles (Matt.5:13; Rev.11:2; Luke 21:24; Dan.8:11; 9:26;  2Thess.2:4). Yet they are mislead to think they are at peace (even in a "spiritual paradise").

God's people (unsealed chosen ones) are being disciplined/taken captive/tormented, for their idolatry to the Organization (Image of Wild Beast) through it's army of representatives (Wild Beast) (Rev.9:3,4; 13:7) (Greatest Tribulation - what&why), and need to be awoken, cleansed and refined upon Christ's return (Mal.2:1,2; 3:1,2,3,4).
These agents of Satan* (Rev.16:13; 13:11) likewise lull God's people into a false sense of safety and protection (Rev.13:8,4,3; Matt.24:23-25,22,13; 19:25-26) while they are in reality, still under Satan's masked dominion....
"And just as a child seeks his parents' protection when a storm rages, we seek protection in Jehovah's organization" (w11 4/15 pp. 3-5)
"'Seeking Jehovah' today involves developing and maintaining a warm personal relationship with him in association with his earthly organization." Zeph.2:2,3 (w01 2/15 pp. 17-22)
(LINK)
It would appear that "Jehovah's Witnesses" are being taught, that they have protection, peace and security with God, dependent upon their standing with the Organization (Rom.1:25).
Are these two different identities (God and the Organization) interchangeable? (Isa.40:25; 42:8)
Can our worship, obedience, and approval from God be mediated through an organization (Gal.1:10), and thereby provide us with divine "peace and security" as a result?

The organization has taught that "devotional aids" such as statues of saints are forbidden and are considered idols, even when the person who uses them states that they are simply an aid to help him feel closer to God. How is it that the WT sees these mediating "aids" as Idols, on the basis that they are not God...
Yet this reasoning is lost when that idol is their Organization?
How is the mental image of the "faithful and discreet slave" saints as mediating for us,
any different than a statue of a "saint" mediating for us?
In any case, nothing can take the place of God Himself in our obedience and service (Luke 4:8) (Deut.11:18).
Can obedience and service to an organization, really keep us safe from Satan... alert and immune to his final machinations? (Rev.13:16)

"all the protection God provides; through his Word, his spirit, and his organization" (w02 10/15 pp. 8-13)
True Peace and Security—How Can You Find It?, Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society 1986

The "Watchtower" has prophesied peace (a "spiritual paradise") to it's followers since it's inception. It claims to be a spiritual oasis, safe from demonic threat and dominion, and separate from Satan's world.
"Still, as a people, “the chosen ones” and their loyal companions will physically survive the end of apostate Christendom by taking refuge in Jehovah and his mountain-like organization."
"We find refuge today in the spiritual security enjoyed by God’s people as a whole."
"Through “the faithful and discreet slave” and elders in the congregation, we are alerted to trends in the world that could endanger that security." (w11 1/15 pp. 3-7)

"Jehovah's Witnesses" are taught that they have peace with God, and security from Satan's influence, as long as they are in unquestioning obedience and good standing, within their organization.
They teach that Satan has already been cast down, and has lost his power over the organization and it's leadership. They teach that they are under the dominion of the kingdom of God, which they claim began it's dominion over them in 1914. Assuming they are under the rule of Jesus Christ through the Organization; they feel at peace, and secure. They believe that they have found refuge from Satan's world dominion.

"Regarding those who would enjoy that restoration of true worship, Zephaniah foretold that Jehovah would save them and rejoice over them. This has proved true in our time too. After God’s Kingdom was set up in heaven, Jehovah delivered the faithful remnant of anointed ones from spiritual captivity to Babylon the Great. And he rejoices over them down to this day.
Those with the hope of living forever on earth have also got out of Babylon the Great and enjoy spiritual liberation from false religious teachings. Thus, Zephaniah 2:3 finds its major fulfillment in our time." w11 1/15 pp. 3-7
"Jehovah's visible organization is also a protection. How? At Proverbs ... be part of a people who seek, and receive, protection in God's name." w98 12/15

In Jer.28, there are two prophets...
the false prophet Hananiah, and the true prophet Jeremiah.
Hananiah tells God's people that they are set free from the king of Babylon, previous to the fulfillment of God's full discipline by captivity to the king. This is a pre-mature declaration of freedom, peace, the reestablishment of pure worship, and security.
Jeremiah wears a yoke around his neck, to symbolically depict to the people, their true situation of slavery to the king of Babylon. Only when they have completed their full sentence (for their rebellion against God -Jer.25:11-12; 29:10-11,12-13,14; Zech.1:12-13,14-15,16), will they finally be set free.

The time will come for God's Kingdom to fill the earth, when God collects together the scattered remnant... just as the time would arrive for God's people of the past to be set free from Babylon. Hananiah declared a premature prophecy of peace with God.
Does the Bible warn us of a premature declaration of peace and restoration, in the Lord's day?
Yes, and it is declared when the danger becomes the greatest...
Just as the Idol (disgusting thing) is being set up in God's Temple (Holy Place) (Eph.2:20-21,22) of anointed priests! (1Pet.2:5,9;  1Cor.3:16)
"Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God." (2Thess.2:1-2,3-4) (also Dan.8:11,12,24,25) (Dan.11:21-22,23-24,36-37,45; Rev.13:14-15,8,7)
(2Thess.2:8; Dan.9:27)
It has been prophesied in God's Word, that a false sense of security would occur in the time of the end. Yet we are told that by means of this "freedom from care", the enemy conquers the Holy Ones and tramples them. Do you see why this false sense of safety is dangerous?
God's Word warns us;
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings."  1Pet.5:8
""Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat." Luke 22:31
"Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus." (Rev.12:17)

"When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been." (Rev.6:9,11)

"Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy." (John 16:20)
"She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born." (Rev.12:2,4)

"For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come." (Heb.13:14)

"Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil.2:12)

"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-35,36)
"What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'" (Mark 13:37)
"But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into." (Matt.24:43) (Matt.25:13)
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy" (John 10:10 A)

"From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their torture stake and follow me. (Rev.6:9,11; 12:10-11)
25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done." (Matt.16:21-22,23-24,25-26,27)
Rom.6:5
-----------------------
Is this perception of present peace and security accurate?
What is the danger of feeling safe from Satan due to the supposed spiritual shelter of an organization?

Prophecy tells us that when Satan makes his final attack against the woman's seed,
they do not expect the attack, nor perceive their vulnerability (Eze.38:11,14; Jer.49:31)
Can you see that this overlaps with the period where the leaders of God's people are falsely declaring peace and security? (Eze.13:16; Rev.13:11,4;  1Thess.5:3)
Because of their drowsy, overconfident condition, they are deceived and conquered
(Rev.13:7; 9:5,10; Matt.5:13; Rev.11:2; 12:4; Dan.8:10-11,12-13;  2Thess.2:4).

Anointed "Priests" and prophets must warn people according to God's truth...for their protection, awareness, and vigilance to present danger (Jer.28:8; Eze.3:4,18; Mal.2:7; Dan.12:3,10; Matt.24:45).
The war is not over yet!
(Dan.9:26; Rev.12:15,17; Eph.6:12;  2Cor.2:9; 11:3; 10:4-5,6; Matt.24:13,11,10; 10:22; Luke 13:24)

Any "walls" erected by men, to keep Satan out are an illusion...as long as he still dominates the world (1John 5:19; Eph.5:15-16). Our only true protection is the meaning of YHWH's name (Prov.18:10) which is that HE is our only saviour (Isa.43:11; 2:22; Rev.14:7; Psalm 146:3; 118:8). We must have faith and trust in HIM and the truth of His Word, (not the doctrines of a human organization -Jer.17:5;  1John 4:1; Mark 7:7-8), in order to possess a realistic spiritual shield (Eph.6:13,16).

The anointed are not protected from Satan's machinations by means of a membership in an organization, nor by obedience to it. (Rev.12:17; Luke 22:31; Rom.6:16;  1Cor.7:23)
Whether or not the WT realizes it, they are in the same relationship with Satan that other governmental powers are. They call themselves a "Governing Body". All such structures while Satan still holds world dominion, are under Satan's control...for his use in opposing, restraining, hindering, and persecuting the faithful chosen (2Thess.2:4; Matt.4:8-9;  1Cor.15:24; Mark 10:42-43).
This world is still completely dominated by Satan, as well as all the authority and governing power within it. They are all subject to him, whether or not his subjects are aware of it.
"The Bible unmistakably identifies and unmasks the one who has been maneuvering human leaders and world powers. Whether consciously or not, human society reflects the personality of its ruler and his ‘rule or ruin’ policy."w11 9/1 pp. 7-9 The World’s Secret Ruler Exposed
Rule or Ruin is precisely the spirit behind WT policy,
which expels and slanders all those who disagree with their false doctrines,
or refuse to submit to their Idolatrous blasphemous dominion.
Rule, or, ruin.

Wisdom protects.
Ec.7:12; Prov.4:6
That wisdom begins in fearing God (Prov.9:10; Psalm 111:10; Jer.17:7)...not men (Prov.29:25).
Wisdom is not through subjection, nor a seeking of the approval from, an Organization whose authority is under the umbrella of Satan's world reign.
God's kingdom will not begin until all it's kings are sealed.

Prophecy tells us that "Jerusalem's wall" must be rebuilt.
She most certainly does still need protection from her enemies...
not by means of a false sense of security, touted by her false prophets...
but by means of the re-establishment of truth, righteousness, and humility,
behind which wall, all her inhabitants will be kept safe.

It is time to leave "Babylon",
and rebuild Jerusalem's wall of truth.
The whitewashed wall of lies is no protection.
(Isa.28:14,15,17-18,19-20; Eze.13:10-11,12-13,14-15,16)

Jer.28:15,16,17 reads:
"Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, “Listen, Hananiah! The Lord has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies. 16 Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against the Lord.’”17 In the seventh month of that same year, Hananiah the prophet died."

The "death" of our governing false prophet today, has also been prophesied (Rev.17:16,17).

So,
what's wrong with "peace and security"?
It is a lie. It deceives the unsealed chosen ones, into believing they are no longer at war.
This false sense of protection and safety leaves them open to surprise attack from Satan and his disguised agents. They are deceived into worshiping an Idol, touted by the false prophet as being the source of true peace with God.
God allows that Idol of Gentile power to dominate and persecute those who have fallen asleep in subjection to it (2Cor.11:20; Rev.13:8,7; 2:14,20; 17:2; 18:3). Only those who repent will be released from these agents of Satan, and his "mother" "covenant of death"..."Babylon the Great" when their period of cleansing is fulfilled.

I do realize that these teachings are supported by a deeper study into the foundation of these ideas.
The articles which define and explain these supporting basics, are liked below.

What must we do?

This is my response to a letter I received. It reflects the experience that so many of you write to me about. I hope the response, and all the information it contains within its scriptures and links, will be helpful for all the readers who are facing the same challenges and tribulation.

My Response:

Thank you for writing to me. I am sorry that I didn't get to answer right away.
My reply contains much information, but it is all necessary. Take your time with it, dividing it into sections. Try to be patient and thorough. Although there is likely enough material for many weeks of study, I assure you that all the questions you have asked, will be fully addressed if you make the most of what I am offering to you, and are sure to read the scriptures as you come to them.
(The links will aid in a deeper understanding of the points, made.)

In order to make the questions you ask and my reply to them, clearer;
I will copy parts of your letter that I am replying to...

"truly appreciate your Ministry. As regarding the topic to "Flee" the WT
org., most of your writings appear to remind the "chosen" anointed, of
their ultimate trial and reward. Though I have found a few statements which
encourage the other JWs to flee, not much is discussed as to what WE must
do if we leave."

There is a baptism by water, and a baptism by spirit and fire, and a baptism into death.
I will not elaborate here about all three, but it is relevant to clarify the differing discipleships to Christ.

The baptism by spirit/fire (Mark 1:8; Matt.3:11; Acts 1:5; 2:3-4; John 16:7; 14:16-17) is done through Jesus Christ himself (Matt.3:11-12; Titus 3:5-6; Rom.5:5).
The baptism of water is performed by men; specifically, it is the responsibility of the members of Christ's body of anointed priests
(Matt.28:19-20; Mal.2:7; Heb.1:14; 2:16; John 4:1-2; Acts 19:4-5).
Such priests, have three baptisms to undergo [1John 5:8; John 14:6 --- Way/blood:(John 14:4;  1Pet.2:21; Rom.6:3,5; John 15:12-13) Truth/water:(Eph.5:26; John 17:17; 4:10) Life/spirit:(Rom.8:11; Gal.6:8)], and "water" baptism, is one of them.

Through water baptism and it's symbolic meaning (Eph.5:26; John 15:3; Ps.51:2;  1Pet.3:21), those who are not priests, are saved (Mark 16:16)... provided they have gained possession of the symbolic water, which cleanses them (John 17:17; 4:10; Eph.5:26). This brings us to the next section of the command given by Christ... Matt.28:19-20 reads;
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

And so now we can discuss the point behind clarifying the various baptisms...
Can you see that those who receive water baptism, and are not Chosen anointed priests, must also "observeall the commands of Christ?
The Greek word ("terein"/"tareo") from which we translate "observe", means "to be keeping", cherish, guard, maintain, uphold.
Though you may not yet have learned an accurate understanding of all Christ's commands to his Body members,
(due to your not receiving the "proper food at the proper time"
     from the wicked steward from which we had all been feeding);
our past famine does not alter the saving direction from Christ.
Obeying his commands is still a requirement for life, regardless of our place in God's arrangement and purpose (Matt.28:20).

Our present and urgent concern should be with familiarizing ourselves with Christ's commands and obeying them, so that we may each secure our standing with God, while there is yet time to do so (John 8:31; 6:63; 12:48-49; Isa.55:6; Zeph.2:3) (Luke 21:36).
After we are capable of making an informed vow to be a slave of God (Rev.7:3; Deut.11:18), it is agreeable that we be baptized (Mark 1:4; Acts 2:37,38,39), to remove our past sin of idolatry to the Image of the "Watchtower" organization (Rev.13:8,11,14,15; 2:20,16;  2Cor.6:17), and to receive the benefit of God's spirit, whose light/living water (Rev.22:17; 19:9), is now being offered, to all (Matt.22:9-10; Rev.22:17; 19:9). Yet if we have been "killed" by the organization through disfellowshipping (Mark 8:35; John 16:2), we will have successfully removed the slave-mark of the Beast from off ourselves.

At this point, these articles should contain significant information for you:
and

Next you say;
"I believe that Jehovah will "help" us in our trials.
However, until the end.... how do we serve him in the ministry if WE flee
the WT."

It may be hard for us, coming out the "Watchtower's" stature as a world-wide publishing corporation, to imagine any comparable ministry. But in fact, the mission of the "Watchtower", pales miserably when compared the genuine good news, the salvation it offers, the "brightness" of it's glorious truth, and it's spread throughout it's target audience.. (Matt.10:23; Rev.1:11,20; Matt.5:15; Heb.10:21;  1Pet.2:5)
The efforts of blinded men cannot compare, to the purpose and power of God's spirit (Zech.4:6,7).

See:
and

Try to imagine the remedial work required, if the "good news" declared by the "Watchtower" is in actuality, error and false prophecy. Their prolific work is the reason why Jesus foretold, how sweeping the dark and dismal end time would be, even among those who are waiting for God....
     (Amos 5:18,19,20; Matt.24:21-22,24-25,29)
and the scriptures tell us why...
     and

....and how difficult it would be to find the road of genuine salvation in the midst of that dark era.
(Jer.13:16; Luke 18:26-27; Matt.24:22; Ps.94:17; Isa.59:10; Matt.7:14).

Now if we are among the "few" granted spiritual perception during that time...
           (Matt.11:25; 7:14; 13:11; John 6:65; Mark 4:11-12; Rev.2:28; Isa.60:1,2,3)
...can you not imagine how much your support of the truth would be needed, and how valuable your contribution of declaring the genuine good news?
For each person who has embraced the truth now being unsealed...
(Dan.12:4)-(Rev.5:2,6-7; 22:10,6; Hab.2:2; Rev.20:12),
...there is also a ministry, which also needs to be embraced
(Eph.4:25;  2Tim.4:2;  1Cor.9:16; Rom.10:13-14; Matt.24:14).

God has afforded the poor and weak...
(1Cor.1:27;  2Cor.12:9; Ps.50:15-16; Zech.4:10; Matt.13:31-32; Dan.2:34-35,44-45)
..."a little help"
(Dan.11:34; Acts 1:8,10-11; Rev.11:3; 1:7; Heb.12:1) (Heb.6:10)
(1Thess.3:13; Rev.19:14; 17:14; Eph.2:6; Matt.24:31).
With the help of God's spirit,
even a few, can provide for a multitude
(Matt.14:16,17,18,19,20,21; Ec.11:1; Gal.6:9; Amos 9:13; Eze.36:8; 34:12,13,14; Matt.24:15-16).

It has become possible for "the little one" (Isa.41:10; 60:22;  2Pet.3:12)
(Eze.21:25-26; Matt.23:12), to offer God's message. The internet has equipped us with all we now require, to fulfill God's Will, even by those of very limited resource.
The invitation to share in the opening of the scrolls, is for all,
regardless of spiritual position (Matt.22:8-10; Rev.22:17).

Next, you say;
"I am a retired widow who needs the help of my only Daughter and her
husband (JWs) Other than them, I only have a few family members (JWs) and a
handful of non-JW friends whom I don't associate closely with due to their
lifestyle and Christendom beliefs. If I flee the WT,.... I will be shunned
by family, by JW friends and be totally alone."

What you speak of, is one of the grievous effects of the Great Tribulation.
(It is spiritual, not physical or visible - Luke 17:20,22-23).
It is recognized as undergoing fulfillment, only by means of--
1. what is befalling the anointed....
      (Matt.12:39-40; Rev.11:7; 6:9,10,11; Matt.25:40)
      (Luke 21:20,22; 19:43; Rev.20:8-9; 16:13,14,15,16;  1Tim.4:1;
       Rev.11:2; Luke 21:24; Dan.11:33; Rev.13:10,7)],
....and by
2. discerning the presence of the false prophet and it's "Beast",
whose identity goes undetected by those under their power
(Rev.17:8; 19:20; 14:8; Jer.51:7).
---That deceptive power, also overcomes the anointed
(Matt.24:24-25; Rev.13:7; Dan.8:10,11,12,13,19,24-25;  2Thess.2:8; Dan.11:36;  2Thess.2:4;
 1Cor.3:16;  1Pet.2:5,9; Mark 13:14).
Only those anointed who repent, are saved by God's mercy.
(Zech.13:8-9; Rev.8:7; 9:18,20)

(See the last section of the following post, to learn about the spiritual nature of the tribulation
And a post that may now prove helpful:

Jesus described the grievous effect you (and all of us) are experiencing, in detail,
so that we could recognize, accept, and cope with it.
Please consider (Luke 14:26; 12:51,52,53; Matt.10:32; 19:29; Mark 13:13).
These links should help with this topic:

No matter how alone we may feel, we are not alone.
God and Christ are with us during our striving to be faithful
(Heb.11:27; John 16:32-33; Rom.14:8; Matt.28:20;  2Cor.1:3-5; Ps.145:18).
We also have the available option and blessing, to associate with others of like faith, who have been through the very same losses and trials, as we (Heb.10:24-25; Mark 10:29-30).
Here are a couple of links which offer that:
(You may need to sign into Facebook, for those links to work)

Facebook is also a place to have a face to face meeting with any who gather with us there. You can request a friendship there, with members of those groups. Video conferencing is available there, to use with whom we become friends. If you need any technical help with that process, let me know.

There is also our Forum, which has grown inactive lately because of our transfer over to Facebook. But if you join the forum, your posts will be responded to. The members still check in to see if there is anything new. It also contains a resource for experiences and Bible knowledge.

There is much available now via the internet, that affords us the ability to spend time with others, either through messaging or video chats. We have grown to know each other, and we have developed an affection amidst us. It always adds to our joy, when someone has newly awoken and joins with us. Jesus acknowledged that we are in the midst of the hardest spiritual test that has ever come upon a people. Support is advisable.

I will not dare to direct nor pressure you in this personal decision which you face.
I can only pray that you and other readers, will closely examine the direction given by Christ through the scriptures offered. It is the only salvation for those living within this difficult time, in which we are.
I have also known of, and participate in, tangible support given to those lacking in their physical and financial needs. While there is no guarantee of financial support, I trust you will find the love among us to be sincere and without hypocrisy.

Next you say;
"Wouldn't it be wiser for those in my situation to follow the
advice of Perimeno: "..wait until Jehovah reveals/exposes" the "Man of
Lawlessness" and destroys the WT org. (which should open the eyes of my
Daughter and others)"

It just so happens that the last link given just above, addresses that question.
Because "Perimeno" lacks the insight of holy spirit, he fails to be aware, that the "Man of Lawlessness" has already been revealed/exposed. That identity, as well as the other Bible alias's for that entity, are already fully known and published.
If we wait, however, for the leaders of the Beast to be thrown off, and for they and their Beast to be destroyed, it is already too late for anyone to prove faithful.
Faithfulness is established through our taking a stand against the false prophet and it's beast (Rev.15:2; 2:7; 12:11). Once Satan's agents are gone, such a stand is no longer possible. (LINK)
Rev.18:4 tells us to get out.
Why?
"So that you will not share in her sins" or "receive her plagues". If we are still inside when her condemnation and punishment come, we receive them also.
At Matt.24:15-16, Jesus made very clear, when we must depart...
"So when you see (perceive/catch sight) the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (let the reader use discernment),  “then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!".

Perimeno himself, has failed to discern, the "abomination that causes desolation", nor the need to Flee! But Jesus shows that this is a discernment on the part of each individual. "When YOU see" and recognize through your own spiritual perception, that the abomination causing desolation to God's Temple/chosen ones/anointed priesthood... is indeed present...
then it is time for US, to flee, regardless of what others see, say, or do.

Jesus compared our hour to the days of Noah and Lot (Luke 17:26,27,28,29,30).
 Why?
Because those who fail to discern the imminent danger and run for their lives, will face God's condemnation, sharing in the harlot's sins (Luke 17:30,31,32).
If we tolerate the abomination and remain within it, while it silences, tramples, and destroys God's Sons and kingdom heirs, God will hold us accountable for our cowardice (Eze.14:10; Heb.10:38).
If we are still known as one of "Jehovah's Witnesses", we share in the blasphemy of that name (Rev.17:3; 13:5-6), we are still spiritually marked as subject to the Beast, we are still in subjection to the edicts of the false prophet, and we are not written in the Lamb's scroll of life (Rev.14:9-10; 13:8; 20:15).

Try to remember that although you may not agree that you "worship" the organization... in God's estimation... the one you fear, seek the approval of, and let direct your actions/obey, IS the one you worship (Deut.11:18; Rev.13:16-17).
Do you fear to disobey Christ, or the elders?
Christ has told us to flee without delay, and not to return (Luke 21:21,20; Rev.20:9; 11:5; Jer.5:14).
If you are hiding what you truly believe from congregation members and "elders",
then you are letting them direct your freeness of speech (Eph.4:25; Col.4:6; Matt.5:13) thereby, obeying them.
If you obey Eph.4:25, and thereby prove your separation from the abomination of the Beast (2Cor.6:16-18), you know what will happen (Rev.13:15; John 16:2; Mark 8:35).

If you are not leaving because you desire to stay there, and because you admire the organization (because you believe it is God's spirit-directed organization"),
then you stay due to deception.
If you are not leaving because you dread the consequences and are intimidated into subjection to the rules of the organization, then your hand (deeds/practices) is still controlled and marked as enslaved to serve the Beast.

If you do not yet know the identity of the "abomination" that tramples God's holy place, or see how it is causing desolation, please tell me.
The links I have already provided above, will serve to impart such understanding.
Here are some articles, specific to that topic:

Regarding the Bible's direction, about how to handle your situation, the following links should help clarify God and Christ's direction...

If in any way, you need help with any topic (which you cannot find material about by using the Search Box at the blog), please just let me know.

Now I must focus in on a part of what you said;
"wait until Jehovah reveals/exposes" the "Man of
Lawlessness" and destroys the WT org"

Neither God nor Christ are going to "destroy" the "Man of Lawlessness".
The one who destroys, is the Devil (LINK).
Although some Bibles, translate 2Thess.2:8 as containing "destroy", the Greek word (analisko)
means to overthrow, disintegrate, dissipate, sweep away, taken away, consumed (as if by fire). This is in harmony with the previous verse (2Thess.2:7) (See:http://pearl-restraint.blogspot.com/)

Although "destroy" may be akin to "analisko" in the minds of translators, Paul did not choose the Greek word for "destroy". The difference between "destroy" and "consume"/analisko (Luke 9:54), must be acknowledge and heeded.
A correct rendering of this word, is essential to understanding this verse and its context.
2Thess.2:8 simply states, that Christ will "bring to nothing" the "Man of Lawlessness", by the "spirit of his mouth". This rendering becomes clearer, if we examine the other details.
What is the spirit/breath, in Christ's mouth?
(John 16:13; 20:22; Rev.19:15; Eph.6:17; Heb.4:12)

In what way will the Man of Lawlessness, be "brought to nothing"/rendered impotent and harmless?
(Luke 10:19; Rom.16:20; Matt.16:18; John 1:5; Col.1:13)
(Rev.19:20; 20:7,8,9,10; Jer.23:29; 5:14; Rev.11:3,5; Hosea 6:5; Matt.24:50-51; 8:12; 25:11-12,10,13)
The "revealing" of the "Man of Lawlessness" (2Pet.3:10; John 3:20),
IS his being "brought to nothing"/made impotent.

Once that identity is revealed, it no longer has any power over those who "discern" him
(Matt.24:15;  1Thess.5:4). The power of Christ's "mouth", makes the power of deception, impotent/brought to nothing (1John 5:4,18; 4:4). The revealing of truth, disarms the power of deception,.. effectively "destroying" the liar in a figurative way. None of this is physical, anymore than the "two witnesses" are literally killing, with their mouths (Rev.11:5; Hosea 6:5). Those whom God exposes as liars, are judged, and they are denied the gift of life from God (Rev.21:8; 20:15)(Eph.4:18; John 3:36).

Next you say;
"For months, I have tried to reveal (to my daughter and
sister)... the hypocrisy and corruption of the GB/WT... but this upset her,
and was pushing her away."

I myself have had the same experience. Again we must recall to mind, that this is the greatest tribulation to ever descend upon the people of God. When God's nation commits idolatry and is mislead by wicked rulers; they must be disciplined.
According to the time of the last, fourth watchman... when the "last enemy, Death" arises *(Rev.6:7,8;  1Cor.15:26), God allows 4 plagues to come against His nation. They are listed as "sword, famine, pestilence, wild beasts".
The Bible gives us information that is relevant to your attempts to awaken your daughter and sister.
It tells us what to expect, when God decides that those 4 plagues of discipline are necessary.
Eze.14:
"21 For thus says the Lord God: “How much more it shall be when I send My four severe judgments on Jerusalem—the sword and famine and wild beasts and pestilence—to cut off man and beast from it? 20 even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” says the Lord God, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.”

We are taught there, that when these 4 plagues arise, they will be so effectively adverse, that salvation will be on an individual bases. Convincing others to take steps for their own deliverance, would be ineffective. When that discipline comes, it is never pleasant, but if we let it guide us into faithfulness, we save our own soul, IF we choose righteous obedience.

The final abomination of desolation" is so lethal and masked (Matt.24:24,25;  2Thess.2:3,9,10,11,12). It is such a tremendous offense against God, His purpose and His Kingdom. This is hard to appreciate when we are first coming out of it and waking up from our drunken sleep, caused by the "wine" of the "Harlot's" sorcery.
Due to it's severe offenses...
(including the spiritual slaughter of God's messengers, fornication with Satan,
defiling of God's Temple, poisoning millions with polluted spiritual waters,
causing God's sons to worship an Idol, blaspheming God's name,
sinning against Holy Spirit, etc. -Rev.18:5)  (LINK)(LINK)
...God is unleashing not one plague (Eze.14:13-20 > Link; Isa.3:1), but all four of His plagues against this land.
When all four are released (Eze.14:21; Rev.6:7-8), did you see what the result is?...
(Eze.14:20).
That's exactly why Jesus foretold that families would be divided over the conflict between truth and deception (Luke 12:51,52), both due to be released in the time of the end .....
     (Dan.11:32; 12:1,10,3; Eph.5:11; 6:11,12,13;  2Cor.10:3,4,5),
.....causing the spiritual battle of Armageddon (1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13,14,15,16; 20:7,8; 19:11,14; 17:14).
---Our children are casualties of that war. But we need not be.
If we prove faithful, there may be hope for them, in the end (1Cor.7:14; Rev.21:4; Heb.13:14).

Lastly, here is a post for those seeking the Bible's direction when determining how to handle their extrication from the abomination:
