Is "leaving the city", enough?

Many who were associated with the "Watchtower" organization, have lost cherished things, due to being cast off as wicked by their local congregation. The spiritual path each one has chosen afterward, has varied. Which of those post-"Watchtower" paths, leads to eternal life?
What follows, are excerpts from my reply to someone who asked such questions, after his rejection of the wicked steward's wormwood waters, and his exodus from the "City" of apostate Jerusalem. He wants to know how God views these decisions, and what reward he can expect for his discernment and decisive action to cease his association with God's rebellious and idolatrous nation.

My reply:
You rightly feel that your resistance to the false doctrines of the WT, was accurate and proper 
(1Tim. 6:20; Gal.1:7-8; Eph.5:11; 4:25; Col.2:8;  1John 4:1; Matt.24:4-5); 
and your refusal to submit and conform to their demands, was the right action to take (Rom.8:15; Gal.1:10) (obey-men?).
According to Christ's illustration of the marriage feast (Matt.22:1-14) (marriage-feast), many such perceptive ones are seen, "leaving the city" (marriage-feast) (invited-chosen-marriage.feast).
They are leaving, because they no longer desire to be in it, due to what they perceive about it. Many are leaving in obedience to Rev.18:4 (Luke 17:26-37) (Flee-where?).
Is that enough to receive life?
Our situation today is patterned after the situation in first-century Jerusalem. They too had to flee the City in order to survive God's wrath upon Jerusalem after it had rejected His son 
(John 3:36; 8:37; Acts 4:10-12; Matt.23:31-34; John 16:2; Rev.11:7,9; Mark 13:13; 8:35; Rev.17:6; 18:24; Matt.23:35-38; 21:43). God's wrath against His unfaithful city was expressed through a removal of protection, so that their enemies (Romans) could overtake and destroy them.

There were Christians who kept close in mind, Christ's warning to flee when they saw the Romans surround the City (Luke 21:20-21). Did others, who were not Christians, also flee? Those who wished to avoid the mounting tensions and conflict, likely did. Was it just a fleeing the city, that ensured the salvation of eternal life, and divine approval? No. Life comes from acceptance of Christ's teachings (John 5:24; 8:51), and a doing of God's will (1John 2:17).  
Fleeing Jerusalem afforded a physical salvation, and was done by some to obey Christ, and done by others due to prudence. Neither physical protection, ensured eternal life. Those who fled, still needed to learn about Christ and obey him, in order to attain eternal life. It is the same today. Our reason for fleeing, matters. Many flee only to avoid submission to others. Some flee, due to submission to Christ. Do both motives please God?

Christ himself appoints the steward over his household, to feed them spiritual food/teachings/doctrine (Luke 12:42-46). If we are obedient to Christ, we accept his appointment of the steward he has selected, and we submit ourselves to the steward Christ has put in charge over us, even if we are anointed heirs (Gal.4:1-8; Heb.13:17). 
The appointment of the steward, does not guarantee that this steward will be faithful (Luke 12:45-46). Prophecy reveals that the final steward over all the anointed household 
(Heb.3:6;  1Tim. 3:15; Eph.2:20-22;  1Pet. 2:5,9-10;  1Cor. 3:16,9), is wicked (Luke 16:1-3) 
(2Thess. 2:1-3; Matt.24:24-25; Rev.2:20; 13:11, 14; 19:20;  1Tim. 4:1; Rev.16:13-16; 1:5) (kings-of-earth). 
Are faithful anointed exempt from ever being submissive to the one Christ appointed? If they were, how then would that steward be able to hate and "beat his fellow slaves" through a condemnation to death? (1John 3:15; Mark 13:13; John 16:2).
The remnant (remaining/last) are required to accomplish the victory of that death, in order to become sealed. (Rev.6:9-11; Mark 8:35; Rev.12:10-11; 11:7). Although you have been shunned by those in the Org., the official spiritual death is not possible for you, because you never attained to a life in the Beast/baptism into it. This lack of submission helps to clarify you, as excluded from the anointed flock. This is not to say that your lack of submission is wrong... only that it clarifies that you are not a member of the anointed household, under the steward appointed by Christ ("great star" Rev.1:20), who also became unfaithful (Rev.8:10-11; Jer.51:7; Rev.17:5; Isa.1:21).
Is it not true, that your exclusion and shunning by the Congregation, was a result of your refusal to submit and conform to all "suggestions"/requirements, so that you were unable to be baptized into "Jehovah's Witnesses"? If those requirements were not a violation of scripture, submission is warranted. Our becoming sealed as a slave of God, is through a death for Christ... a standing up against violations to scripture, not violations of our personal preferences.

It is best now, to return to Christ's illustration about those "leaving the City" in the time of the end.
The prophecies that depict our own exodus from apostate Jerusalem, extend far beyond the exodus from first century Jerusalem [as is proven at Rev.18:4 (Rev.17:2; 16:14; 5:10; 1:5), which was recorded by John after the fall of Jerusalem].
According to the rest of Christ's illustration of the marriage feast...
    ("the true words of God"/"hidden manna" IS the "marriage feast")
    (Matt.22:1-2; 4:4; Rev.19:9; 22:6; 1:1; 2:17; 5:1,5,7; 20:12; John 12:48; Dan.12:4,10)
..."Leaving the city" is only an opportunity.
The invitation to the "marriage feast", must also be accepted (Matt.22:8-10).
Not only must one "flee" the "city". One must "flee to the mountains" (Matt.24:15-16; Eze.36:1,8)


Why?
Just as eternal life did not result from leaving Jerusalem in the first century;
eternal life today does not result only from rejecting apostate Jerusalem today (as you did).
Just as eternal life in the first century resulted from learning from and obeying the teachings of Christ, through his appointed priests
(2Cor. 5:20; Rev.5:10; Mal.2:7; Zech.8:23; John 13:20; Matt.10:40-42), the same is true today. 
However, a prophet's "fruit" must be tested by the Word of God 
(1John 4:1;  2Cor. 13:5;  1Thess. 5:20-21; Matt.7:15-20), before being accepted as from God
(2Pet. 1:20-21; John 16:13; Matt.10:27; Isa.50:4; Amos 3:7; Num.12:6; Rev.10:7; 22:6) (fine-trees?).

Today, those teachings of life are found inside the marriage feast, where Christ is feeding his completed Bride, among which, are the faithful and wise "5 virgins" from the time of the end (Matt.25:1-2, 10-13) whose lamps burn with the light of Holy Spirit.

Regarding your question about your "position"...after having left the "city"...
it is just as Jesus depicted within his illustration of the marriage feast, which feast is the source of truth and life in the time of the end
(Rev.19:7,9; 22:6-7,17; 10:7; 5:1-2,5,7; 20:12; John 15:15; Rev.22:6; Dan.7:13; 12:1,4,3,9-10).

You have rejected the City. You have left it. Now what?
God assures us through Christ's illustration, that you will receive an invitation to the marriage feast, due to your prudence (shown by your rejection of it's "wormwood" doctrines) (Matt.22:9-10).
However.....
Do you not see many on the various forums, also rejecting the false teachings of the WT, criticizing the GB and elders, and leaving the Org.? This does not result in divine approval, nor eternal life. In fact, they are the "hated birds" (Isa.34:11; Jer.51:37; Rev.18:2), that tear at the flesh (Gal.5:17; Rom.8:5) of the prominent (Rev.19:17-18). Those who eat the sins of others as sustenance, are "hated" and "unclean" before God (Prov.24:17-18; Ob.1:12). To recognize, criticize, and reject the faults of the WT leaders/Harlot, and their minion organizational Beast, does not guarantee God's approval, or eternal life.
As stated before, taking in truth, results in life (John 6:63; 12:48). Today's truth of Christ (the opened scroll of Revelation -Rev.22:7, 10), is found within the marriage feast.

So, regarding your "position"...
You are "on the broad-way leading out of the city" (Matt.22:9-10). You have received your invitation to the marriage feast. It would appear from your letters to me, that you are sampling some of it's prophetic provisions.
It is now up to you, whether or not you will accept them (John 13:20) with appreciation (Matt.22:11-13;  1Pet. 5:5; Col.3:14)
or not (Prov.23:9; 9:8; Matt.7:6; Rev.22:14-15).
That will depend upon your heart, and the value you place upon what is offered
(Matt.7:20; John 7:17-18; 3:34; 16:13-14,8; Matt.13:44; Ps.119:11,162,14,111).
Those who accept, take in, and heed what the spirit says to the Congregation (Rev.2:29; 1:3; 22:6-7, 10) will be blessed. How? They will receive the same reward as God's prophet -- life  
(Matt.10:41; James 1:12).
The Sea Beast is Satan's current means, to sift and test those "called"

Here is where you fit in....
You have rejected the wicked steward.
You have rejected (not accepted the baptismal requirements of) citizenship in the apostate City.
You have left that "city" behind.
As a result, you have been invited to the marriage feast, just as promised by God to those who reject the apostasy (Matt.22:9).
Those who do not accept the invitation, are deemed unworthy of it's provisions (Matt.22:3, 8).
They do not receive life. 
  It is not enough to "leave the city".
You are sampling the provisions of the marriage feast (sourced from the opened scrolls of Revelation), which provisions, afford life to those who accept and heed them (Rev.22:7,10).
That is where you stand... your "position".
It is up to you if you deem the provisions of the marriage feast, as valuable enough to accept and follow
(Zech.8:23; Rom.2:28-29).
If you accept the provisions that Christ's Father is providing in the time of the end (Matt.22:2; Rev.5:1,7; John 16:15; Rev.1:1; 22:6-7),
you may get life, just as the prophet who provides them, does (Matt.10:41).

How can we obey the Bible's command to gather, after leaving the "Watchtower"?

You may recall prophecies about the return of Christ, where he gathers people "from the 4 winds, from one extremity of the heavens to the other extremity" (Matt.24:31). Other prophecies tell us that those "leaving the city" will be invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb (Matt.22:8-9,10; Rev.19:9(NIV).
We are given the idea, that there will be a gathering from all over, collecting together those who might accept an invitation to spiritual food. Where that food is located, is where those with insight, will gather (Luke 17:37(NKJV) ; Rev.11:7,3,9).
Prophecy also tells us, that an urgent need will arise, to flee a city
(Rev.18:4; Mark 13:14; Luke 17:26-27,28-29,30-31,32-33,34-35,36-37).

A similar situation occurred in the first century, before the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans, in 70 CE. Christians who obeyed Jesus' warning, did flee to the "Judean Hills/wilderness"
(Dan.11:31-32,33; Matt.24:15-16; Eze.36:8; John 15:16; Matt.7:20)
(Dan.11:33; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8).
There was no guarantee that those fleeing Jerusalem would find those of like-faith, collected into a cohesive, organized, comfortable group. Yet they still obeyed the command to flee, and despite being scattered, they were fed by those whom Christ assigned to feed them
(see Acts 8:1,4; James 1:1; 1Pet.1:1; Rev.1:9-10,11)
Today, we have another fulfillment of the end of a covenant, and the harvest and segregation of both the good/faithful/"wheat", and disobedient/"weeds"/"chaff", based upon one's regard for that divine covenant. At each covenant's conclusion, there comes a destruction of those who were unfaithful to it.
We too, must flee the unfaithful "City" (Zech.8:3; Isa.1:21; Rev.17:1).
We too, discern a "disgusting thing/abomination, standing in the holy place/standing where it does not belong, which is causing desolation" to God's faithful nation
(Matt.24:15; Mark 13:13-14; 2Thess.2:4; Rev.11:2; 13:4,7-8).
We too, must Flee the empire of the unfaithful...
(Rev.18:4; Jer.51:6; Isa.48:20; Matt.24:14; Ps.68:11)
...and go to the mountains of Israel for sustenance (Eze.36:8; Matt.5:14).

Despite our also being scattered, we can communicate by means of the internet. This offers not only the written words of our brethren, but also the ability to video chat, to see and hear members of our family of faith. We are fully able to heed Heb.10:24-25, by giving comfort and encouragement, sharing our excitement about, and insights into, what we are learning, and even working together in this final ministry. (Matt.22:8-9,10; Rev.22:17; Matt.10:23).

"He who seeks to save his life, will lose it."

Dear Pearl and others,
I thought about the idea that ones in the Watchtower who do not allow themselves to be killed by it in disfellowshipping. Surely we can compare to 1st century and Christ said his followers would be persecuted and killed but not every Christian was put to death but generally speaking none escaped some form of persecution. So these ones may not be of the number who are killed does not mean they subject to the beast?

My Reply:

If they do not get killed, are they subject to Jesus Christ? 
(Mark 8:35; 13:13; Matt.25:5-6; Heb.13:13; John 16:2; Rev.12:11; 6:9-10,11; Rom.6:5;  2Cor.4:10)

In the first century... every "Christian" who did not obey Jesus and flee Jerusalem (Matt. 24:15,16), likely died under God's disfavor for their disobedience, when Jerusalem was destroyed.
The destruction of the Beast and false prophet, is also certain (Rev. 20:10) as is the destruction of all who remain under their influence (Rev. 13:8; 20:15; Eze. 14:10) or do not get out 
(Rev. 18:4; Luke 21:21,22; Isa. 52:11; 48:20; Jer. 51:6; Ps. 26:4;  1Cor. 10:21;  2Cor. 6:16,17).

For what reason, would any Christian remain in first century Jerusalem, despite Christ's warning?
Would it not be because his words at Matt. 23:38 and Matt. 21:43 were not taken to heart?
Jesus made plain, that the Jewish system was about to end (Matt. 24:2), and that God's favor and spirit was no longer with it.
That is the stark reality today, regarding the "Watchtower" (WT-crumble). 

So,
for what reason would someone stay inside?
Those "not perceiving" the "Watchtower's" standing with God, are still in darkness (What-is-Hades?).
Why would anyone have a reason to remain inside an organization condemned by God, and about to be destroyed,
unless they were still under it's deluding influence?...not taking seriously the warnings of Christ? (John 14:15)
(Rev. 13:8,14,15; Matt. 24:4,5,24,25; Rev. 14:9,10,11; 18:4; Luke 21:21,22)

The influence of the Beast upon one's heart, is made evident and manifest, by the symbolic mark of "666", on your forehead and hand.
Those who were still swayed by the physical appearance of Jerusalem in the first century (previous to it's destruction), could also have that influence made evident, by their reluctance to leave (Luke 21:5,6,12,13,15,16,17,19).

Jesus warned his disciples, to "Flee"... comparing that exodus to Lot fleeing "Sodom" (Luke 17:26,27,28,29,30,31,32; Rev. 11:8).
Was it enough that Lot did not agree with the corruption he saw around him? (2Pet. 2:7,8)
Would that have saved his life from God's fire and sulfur that turned Sodom to ashes?
Or, did Lot need to "get out"? 
(Gen. 19:12-13,15,17,24,25,26,27,28,29; Jer. 51:6; Rev. 18:4)

Jesus also made clear, when to flee, at Matt. 24:15,16 and Mark 13:14.
If we are capable of perceiving that the abomination (man of lawlessness 2Thess. 2:4) is now over the Holy Place (God's Temple 1Cor. 3:16) (Disgstg-thing);
then what are we waiting for ?... 
...if not under the spell of a deceptive aura, 
      a veneer of divinity leading the unwary to destruction (Luke 21:36), 
      a lethal facade, 
      a demonic guise and hoax, 
      inebriation by the harlot's sorcery
...convincing it's victims that they should remain inside the abomination for some reason?
  Would you justify remaining inside a Catholic Church, a mosque, or some other temple, if you knew God commanded you to get out? 
Do you view the "Watchtower" as  somehow different from those? If so, why?
Of all places, it is most deserving of God's wrath (WTs-end) (winepress) because it is lead by those who were in, but broke, a covenant with God (Rev. 21:9,10; Isa. 1:21; Rev. 17:6; Matt. 23:37,35; Rev. 18:24; 13:15; 11:7; 6:9,10,11; 19:2). 
Please examine your heart carefully, as to why, like Lot's wife, one should look back to Sodom (Rev. 11:8).

Lot's wife's heart, was somehow attached to that abhorrent city. She was not wholehearted in her willingness to leave it all behind.
Was she attached to something good?

We cannot serve two masters (1King 18:21). 
We either cherish the lifesaving truth of Christ, who mercifully extends his saving guidance;
or we diminish that truth, as secondary to false reasoning 
(Jer. 51:7; Col. 2:8; Rev. 13:10,7; Luke 21:24).

Though you say that not all Christians lost their lives in the first century...
every single one of the faithful did lose their lives (symbolically) within the corrupt Jewish system. They were condemned by the religious leaders as heretics, apostates, and blasphemers who were deserving of death. Those condemned and cast off, were then treated as dead, by all followers. Their previous life was over.
(John 9:22; 12:42; 16:2; Luke 12:8,9; Mark 8:35; 13:13; Heb. 13:13).

The requirement for faithfulness before Christ, is the same today 
(2Cor. 11:2,3,4; Rev. 2:20; 6:9,10,11; 12:10,11;  1John 2:14; Rev. 2:7; 3:12,21) (1Pet. 4:12,13,14;  2Cor. 1:5; Phil. 3:10,11).

Please meditate on Christ and God's words, about the reality and necessity of our sacrifice:
[John 12:24,25; Rev. 6:9,11; (Eze. 33:6; Rev. 19:15); Phil. 3:10; Rom. 6:5; 8:17; (Matt. 16:24; Gal. 3:13; Heb. 13:13); Mark 8:35].
Of course we know that thus far, this death today, is not literal.
If we shrink back 
       (Heb. 10:38) from declaring truth and the 
       "death" which naturally must follow (Rev. 13:15); 
what are we gaining? (Matt. 16:25,26,27; Mark 8:36,37,38).
If we belong to Christ, we will confess his saving truths before men, and die for it 
(Eph.4:25; Luke 9:26; 22:28; Rev. 14:4,5;  1Pet. 2:21). 
If we remain silent, then we are still in subjection to the law of the Beast... which decrees and enforces, that no doctrine but the Beast's, may be exchanged (Rev. 13:16,17)(buying-and-selling). 
If we cower before that law, we disobey Christ's counsel (Rev. 3:18; Matt. 25:14; 13:52; 25:25,28,30;  2Tim. 1:7,8;  2Cor. 4:1,2; 10:5; Eph. 4:25; Matt. 5:14) ("Lukewarm"), and are still marked by the laws of the Beast.

So when you ask;
"These ones may not be of the number who are killed does not mean they subject to the beast?"...
How can anyone obey Christ by sharing the truth, and not be condemned to spiritual death within the organization?
How can anyone avoid organizational death, unless they are, "subject to the Beast"? 
(John 9:22; 12:42; 16:2; Luke 12:8,9; Mark 8:35).

I hope you can perceive that in our time, escaping death for truth is not possible for those faithful, 
just as Jesus foretold (Mark 8:35).

What was Lot's wife willing to give up, "in exchange for her soul"?

Not enough, and so, she lost it.
Are we willing to give up an abomination causing desolation to God's children,
   and fully obey Christ's warning to flee,
or not?
As far as where we need to flee to, Jesus gave us that information.

Regardless of our own reasoning (Prov. 3:5,6;  1Tim. 6:20;  1Cor. 3:18; James 1:22,23,24,25; Prov. 28:26; Matt. 4:4);
...If we remain inside the "city" (Rev. 17:18; 11:8) (kings-of-earth); 
our mark of citizenship to it, is made manifest before God and men (Mal. 3:18; Joel 3:14; James 1:12; Rev. 3:11). 
If you have been chosen as a priest, to serve in God's Holy place, you have an obligation...

When to Flee / Peace

A QUESTION:

Good morning sister D

I trust you are well in these trying times. We sure have not spoken in a long time, but I am aware of what you and Obe are going through. May God grant you the wisdom and will necessary for you to endure, you and everyone that is fighting for truth.

I have attached next year's circuit assembly program,  it is about 'peace' I wonder if this in another prophecy being fulfilled.  The organization is sure changing,  they are putting most of their publications on their website,  even the Kindom Ministry,  it is no longer intended for baptized witnesses. I can now see what you meant when you said the emphasis on JW.ORG will not have the desired outcome.

The survey that you put up about the instructions from the GB is spot on, almost all JW members will do everything for them, even 'kill'. Blatant idolatry,  but don't dare say it to their faces.

Please help out on these two scriptures: Rev 18:4 and Luke 21:20-21. When exactly are we to flee/get out of her, are these verses about two different occasions or one?

Well on a lighter note, family is doing well. My wife does show interest at times, ongoing mission to get her to open her eyes and our son is growing up so much

I am happy to imagine you enjoying the many blessings of fatherhood. Yes, I do remember now your question. It is good you sent it to me again, through this site. My present circumstances are very trying, and I have grown quite forgetful. In prayer, I will do my best to reply to you now.

I see many topics within your letter. The one that stands out to me, is the one about when to flee (and your scriptures cited). Yet your subject is "peace", and a recent campaign of the WT and it's possible association to prophecy.
Perceiving whatever questions I am able to, I will reply to each.

I am not aware of what content will be taught at the circuit assembly, under the subject of "Peace". If I knew what their assertions are going to be, perhaps then I could respond with scriptural comments as a comparison.
Having been a "Jehovah's Witness" for 35 years though, I am familiar with the WT's assertion that true peace with God is attained through an association and subjection to the WT hierarchy; and that peace with God is not possible otherwise, despite God's own assurance 
(James 4:8; 1:5; Luke 11:9-13; Prov.2 <Link).

PEACE

Regarding these two assertions, the scriptures could be explored to discover that peace with God is through Christ, and his body of 144,000.....
Eph.2:13,14 reads;
"13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall".
Although this is speaking of the peace Christ brought between Jews and Gentiles...by making them all spiritual Jews, one family through their faith 
(Gal.3:28-29; 6:15-16;  1Thess.5:4-5; Rom.12:5; Eph.4:25,13; 2:15;  1Cor.12:13)...
Christ is still the basis of unity and peace, among all his true followers 
(Eph.4:3-4,5; John 14:27; 16:33; Isa.9:6; Acts 10:36;  2Pet.1:2; Col.3:11,15; 1:20;  1Cor.1:3; Rom.1:7; 5:1).
The anointed body of Christ, his Bride, offer the living teachings of Christ to yet others 
(Isa.52:7; John 8:31; 7:38; Rev.22:17;  1Cor.4:1; Rev.5:10; Mal.2:7; Matt.5:9; Phil.4:9;  1Pet.1:2). 
An accurate understanding of scripture, and the prayer to God by the righteous, brings them comfort and peace (Phil.4:6-7; Rom.14:17; 15:13;  1Cor.14:33;  2Cor.13:11;  1Pet.5:14).
The power of the holy spirit to provide peace through Christ, happened among all these Bible examples, without dependence upon the WT Corporation. It would have us believe that we must become their obedient slaves to have peace with God.

Romans 6:16
"Do YOU not know that if YOU keep presenting yourselves to anyone as slaves to obey him, YOU are slaves of him because YOU obey him, either of sin with death in view or of obedience with righteousness in view?

We clearly see here that we become slaves to those whom we obey. Our only Masters must be God and Christ. It says that obeying (slaving) for anyone else is a sin (with death in view).

"YOU were bought with a price; stop becoming slaves of men.”

Galatians 1:10
"Is it, in fact, men I am now trying to persuade or God? Or am I seeking to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I would not be Christ’s slave."

Do men have the power to give everlasting life or immortality? Some of them think they do! (and they expect others to act [and worship] accordingly) (Gal.2:4)

Any true and faithful servant of God would never expect the obedience of others for themselves. They would only hope that others would show their obedience to God, his Word, and his Laws. In this way, they will enjoy the peace of God (Isa.48:18,17).
If a proclaimed servant of God expects and enforces something in return (This does not have to be limited to money.), in exchange for spiritual provisions...
then they have become "peddlers of the word" (2Cor.2:17; 4:2;  2Pet.2:3)...merchants in God's Temple (Luke 19:45; John 2:16,15)... seeking their own gain (1Pet.5:2; John 7:18). These disobey the commands of Christ and God (Matt.10:8; 5:44-45,48; James 1:5; Isa.55:1-2; Rev.3:18; 22:17; 19:9; Matt.22:9,10). For it is as if God has generously provided His Son's wedding feast for the benefit of all willing to attend,...
and these peddlers dare to stand outside, charging admission for their own pockets!
We do not owe any man (other than Christ) anything for what God provides.
To expect anything in return (recognition, honor, prominence, subjection, etc.) for being a messenger of heavenly bread or living water, is wrong (Num.20:10,12; Luke 17:10) (Rev.13:17; 6:6; 18:3,23; 22:8-9; 19:10;  1Cor.14:32; Rev.22:6) (Luke 16:2,10-11,12).


If peace were derived from unquestioning obedient subjection to those who take the lead among God's Nation; then why did Christ not give such subjection to the religious leaders of his day?
Jesus did not feel obliged to teach according to the doctrines of those leaders. He regarded God alone, as his teacher (John 12:49). His faithful and true brothers imitate him 
(Matt.10:20,27; John 7:16-17,18;  1Pet.2:21; Gal.1:11-12).
We need not hold to the teachings of men (Matt.15:9; Isa.29:13; Mark 7:7), but must hold to the teachings of Christ (John 8:31; Rom.3:4;  2Tim.3:16-17; Ps.119:104-105;  2Pet.1:19; Rev.22:16; 2:28; Luke 8:18; Rev.3:17,19).

Although the WT claims that they merely forward the teachings of Christ; So many of their arrangements, expectations, behavior, and rules, prove otherwise

  When they go beyond what is written in the Bible (1Cor.4:6;  2John 1:9), they dare enforce compliance and subjection to them and their human doctrine, through expulsion (which they deem to be spiritual death) (John 16:2; Rev.13:15,8,4). 
They imitate the pompous Scribes and Pharisees, who handed their brother over to Gentiles to be killed!

Apparently, the WT "elders" are more righteous (Ec.7:16), and have more authority to condemn to Gehenna (John 16:2; Rev.11:7), than Jesus Christ does (Matt.28:18; John 5:22,27; Matt.12:37; Luke 6:45,44; Matt.7:19).

Jesus made clear, that it is God alone whom we must serve (Matt.4:10; 22:37; Isa.40:18,25; 48:11; 42:8). WHEN TO FLEE

Rev.18:4
"4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her, my people,’
    so that you will not share in her sins,
    so that you will not receive any of her plagues"

"20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city."

Jerusalem will be split open in the time of the end

At that time, the "earth" and the works in it, will be discovered/revealed/exposed (2Pet.3:10; Isa.33:14).
The "heavens" who rule over God's people, will be removed

So then, what about Luke 21:20?

When we see the chosen ones "surrounded" by Gentiles, due to the Gentile's desire to conquer the Holy Ones (Rev.13:7; Luke 21:20-21);
then it is time to flee.
They will not stop with their condemnation of the least of Christ's brothers.
God will also put it into their heart to turn on the "greatest" of his brothers also...
those who have taken power in this world to dominate and oppress their fellow slaves 
(Matt.24:49;  1Cor.4:8,10,12-13,18-19; Luke 16:2; Rev.18:7-8,14,18,20;  1John2:15; Dan.11:37-38).

To clarify this, Matt.24:15-16 supplements Luke 21:20-21.
Note what Jesus said, at Matt.24:15-16...
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."
If you examine the context to Matt.24:15,16 and Luke 21:20,21; You will see that they are identical.
It is no mistake to combine these two scriptures.
So then,
to see "Jerusalem" surrounded by Gentiles (Luke 19:43), is associated with a "disgusting thing, standing in a Holy Place". We are directed by Jesus to examine Daniel for understanding this disgusting thing (Matt.24:15).

   The "abomination"/"disgusting thing", conquers the Remnant of Holy Ones,

IT IS TIME TO FLEE
, according to Jesus (Matt.24:15-16; Luke 21:20-21).
The attack and expulsion of the faithful and them fleeing to the Judean Mountains in the wilderness, is then followed by the collapse of the entire unfaithful "City"/"Temple", just as occurred in first century Jerusalem.

Jesus tells us, in reference to this fleeing,

If you, or anyone, perceives the anointed being surrounded, trampled, dominated, subverted, and enslaved to those not anointed (Gentiles)...
or if you perceive that God's Temple priesthood has been given over to those not chosen by God for that position
(Eze.44:6-7,8-9;  2 Chronicles 23:6-7; Numbers 18:7; Mal.2:7),
[such as non-anointed elders who disfellowship anointed who remain faithful to Christ and scriptural truth (Rom.8:33; John 16:2; Matt.25:40) (Rom.8:33;  1Cor.6:1-2,3)],
then you see the disgusting thing, "where it does not belong" (Mark.13:14)!

The Wild Beast/locust-scorpions/man of lawlessness/disgusting thing...
is willing to take over God's Temple priesthood, and "kill" them for the ruling Harlot, because she is the "bestower of crowns"/(power/authority) (Isa.23:8; Rev.9:3,7).
 Apparently, the cowardice of the Harlot prevents her from directly confronting her brothers in Christ. She refuses to meet with them personally over these differences of opinion. (Matt.18:25; Isa.50:8; 54:17; Luke 10:19). The scriptures must prevail in all matters of judgment. Yet the elders and GB do not want to hear the scriptures. They are only interested in whether or not you are in subjection to them and that you worship the Organization. The Harlot sends her henchmen to enforce the idolatry.
If you do not submit,
you will be "killed" (Rev.13:15; 11:7; John 16:2; Rev.6:9-10,11; 12:10-11; 20:4).

This splitting and division between the remnant of the Chosen Ones (Matt.13:30), is the whole essence of Armageddon [1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 17:14; 19:11,14,8 -(Rev.6:11; 3:5) Rev.19:19-20]. 
This warfare is "necessary" (1Cor.11:18-19; Matt.24:6), to complete the harvest of the "earth" (Rev.14:15-16; Matt.24:6; Dan.9:26; Gen.3:15) and the impeachment of Satan (Rev.12:10-11; 6:9).

Flee--where?

"And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.” Luke 17:37(NKJV)

What follows is a segment of a conversation about what Luke 17:37(NKJV) means, which contained scriptural thoughts, are beneficial to all.

Be assured that I do not believe that the GB is the "disgusting thing" or the "man of lawlessness".
Please let me explain.
The GB is not working alone, even in the Bible's prophecies. There is an alliance between the "iron" and "clay", between the Beast and Harlot, and between the wicked stewards and the confirmed drunkards (Matt.24:49; Isa.5:22-23). Accurate interpretation is challenged, if we blur those two allies, together as one. We must see the distinction between them, for a sharper image of the genuine fulfillment.

If the GB are genuinely anointed, then they belong in the "Temple" as priests, even if unfaithful (1Cor.3:16; Rom.2:29). It is those who are "uncircumcised by spirit" ("Gentiles"), that do not belong serving in the spiritual Temple, performing **priestly duties...

Just as the Roman-appointed "priests", replaced the chosen Levites, and were then accepted by the Jews; so too today. Anointed among "Jehovah's Witnesses" are accepting the non-anointed elders, to be over them as their spiritual heads, rather than Christ.
Just as the Romans then later destroyed "Jerusalem", so it has already begun and will finish taking place...all the way up to the Harlot... today. Anointed who refuse to worship the Image of the WT Beast, are "killed"/expelled (John 16:2; Rev.13:15; 19:20; 11:7; 6:9-11; Mark 8:35). But soon, even the GB will be desolated by it's own Beast (Rev.17:16-17; Eze.16:37).

Those whom YHVH considers "Jews", are anointed ones...chosen priests 
(Ex.40:15;  2Cor.1:21;  1John2:20) (again, Rom.2:29;  1Pet.2:5,9). 
All others not anointed, are considered spiritual "Gentiles"; including the vast numbers of elders which are now the substance and backbone of the Org.

So you see, -there is an alliance... the GB and it's organization.
When we wish to identify the "man of lawlessness" over God's Temple (2Thess.2:4) of anointed (1Cor.3:16;  1Pet.2:5,9; Eph.2:20-22)
and the "disgusting thing" standing "where it does not belong" (Mark 13:14);
we need to know if it is the unfaithful anointed steward, OR
the Gentiles/Beast, who serve the unfaithful anointed leaders/wicked steward/false prophet.
The Gentiles are the "man of lawlessness", the "disgusting thing"/"abomination", and the Wild Beast (from the sea).
The GB, is the false prophet/two horned beast (from the earth) which empowers the Image of the Beast (Rev.13:11,14-15; 19:20), 
the Harlot 
(Isa.1:21; Hosea 6:7; 4:12; Rev.17:1-2,6; 18:24; Matt.23:34-35,36-37,38), 
and Jezebel (Rev.2:20,14; 18:3; 13:7-8,14-15; 19:20).

When we see this circumstance (Matt.24:15-16; Mark 13:14), 
we are directed to Flee (Rev.18:4; Luke 17:30-31,32; 21:20-21,22,34-35,36).

Why would this, seemingly unjust test, come upon the Chosen and others who sought to serve God, inside the WT?

All anointed are subjected to Satan's testing. As with Job, Satan has demanded it 
(Luke 22:31; Job 1:11-12; 14:13; Rev.9:5-6; Rom.8:17;  1Pet.4:13; Luke 9:23). 
Would we expect any less toward those who are taking away Satan's reign, from him? (Rev.12:9-10,11)
During the Great Tribulation, the remnant are yet to overcome Satan's end-time lying machinations (Matt.24:24; Rev.13:5,7-8,14; 19:20;  2Thess.2:9)

Those who gain their victory through their courageous testimony and the condemnation to death that results, are sealed 
(Rev.12:10-11; 6:10-11; 15:2; 20:4; 19:8).

"Jerusalem today" (Gal.4:25-26) is no longer (since the first Century) the place of genuine worship (John 4:21; John 2:19; Mark 14:58; Matt.21:43). It is those who worship in spirit and truth who will comprise "Jerusalem above", and that are the Temple today (1Cor.3:16). The foretold destruction is also...not in literal Israel, but in the Israel of God (Gal.6:16).

For those who can examine things spiritually (1Cor.2:14), the detailed fulfillment of prophecy is being "exposed in a remarkable way showing divine power". But just as the great majority of God's people did not recognize these things being accomplished through Christ (because it didn't match their preconceived expectations), so too with the fulfillment of the end-time scenario (Luke 17:20). For these who seek a physical sign, and expect YHVH God to tailor truth to their own desires, it is as Jesus said, at Matt.16:4. They are spiritual adulterers, and therefore will not be granted recognition of these fulfilled signs of the Kingdom's arrival (Matt.13:11).

Matt.24:15-18 --

(Now here is your question)

37 And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.”

In order to understand what the "Body"/"carcass"/"slain" is (Job 39:27,29-30), what that has to do with where to "flee" ("mountains"), as well as who these "eagles" are (Rev.12:14); these are new questions which relate to your original one.

But hopefully, as regards your original question....Where the discerning readers should flee to (Matt.24:15), you have recognized Jesus' answer, at Luke 17:37(NKJV); (Job 39:27,29-30) and have discerned that it is not a physical place.
By comparison, according to Matt.24:16, that place where the eagles feed on the "slain"*...
*(Mark 8:35; Rev,6:11; 12:11; 14:13; Heb.4:3; Luke 2:14), 
...is also called the "Judean Hills"/"mountains"/"wilderness" (Rev.12:14; Eze.36:8; Ps.72:3; Matt.5:14).
The simplest facts that can be discerned, is that this place is spiritual, and is no longer within the "City" of apostate "Jerusalem".

"21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Hopefully you can see that all these different scriptures are linked by the phrases they contain, ...linking them into a full picture of the end-time scenario involving the anointed "body"of Christ/"temple"/Zion Jer.3:14-15(NKJV).
   That full picture can not be discerned clearly unless we do combine the details of each piece;
and each piece is provided, within scripture.

I just realized that what you may be asking is...
If the "place" to flee, and the "place" from which one is fleeing, is not physical...
(Matt.24:23-24,25-26,27-28; John 4:21,24);
...then why should people flee the Org.? Is that right?
Salvation does not depend upon location, but upon our heart's subjection.
Revelation makes clear, that we are either marked as slaves of the Idol (Rev.13:8,16,17; 14:9),
or as slaves of God (Deut.6:6,8; 11:18; Rev.15:2; 7:3; 14:1; 20:4).

If we are subject to God, we will obey His direction (2Cor.6:17; Ps.26:4; Eph.4:25;  1Cor.10:21).
In order to obey those last verses, a physical removal is necessary, because our spiritual removal requires a physical removal in order to obey them.
If we speak truth, we are marked, judged, and expelled. If we do not congregate with those deceived, we will not attend meetings. If we reject the table of demons, we cannot sit quietly condoning what is being taught.
Also, if we are fleeing to the spiritual provisions offered by those who are slain for taking a faithful stand; then even though we may not leave our home or be with them physically;
we are resorting to their testimony to be spiritually fed. That requires some sort of connection.
While we are not gathering to the same locale to feed on the slain, we connect to their testimony.
A disconnection from the demonic is also required. As that disconnection is accomplished, we will discard the demonic deceptions that held our mind and heart captive, and not shrink back from exposing them (Eph.5:11).

I'll leave a few scriptures here now, and maybe through your own reading and meditating, you will come up with the answer yourself...

(Rev.13:16-17 -- Can you see that one can have the mark on one's hand, by directing one's deeds according to the lies, even if it is not on one's forehead?) (Isa.44:20; Psalm 144:8)

The Bible must direct our behaviour (Deut.11:18)...
We are commanded to "speak truth with our neighbor" (Eph.4:25);
Not sit with men of untruth (Psalm 26:4),
and to warn those who are headed for death (Eze.33:9).

Jesus tells us to "buy" gold from him (with the payment God seeks), refined by fire (Rev.3:18; Isa.55:1)...[devoted faith in God, cleansed by His Word of truth. (Psalm 22:25; Jer.23:29)]
  We are not doing that, if we "buy from those who sell" (Matt.25:9; Isa.55:2; Rev.13:16-17) and therefore, we do not get the "light" that we are shining in our "lamps" of understanding,
from Holy Spirit (Matt.6:22).
Our eye/lamp, must be "simple", or "clear"...only directed by Spirit and Truth (John 4:24), not doctrines of men (Mark 7:7), (which requires that we "pay" devotion/subjection to them, in order to receive).

What does all this have to do with the Organization and the decision to remain inside or leave?

If we obey any of these scriptural commands of God; then our "hand" is not marked with the "Beast" as it's master, but by YHVH's word and Christ as master.
Can we obey God, and still get away with remaining in the Org?
Can we remain inside and still practice these commands of God?

The demonstrated reality is found in scripture....
Rev.13:15-17 reads
15 "He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

Can you see that, even if we refuse the mark on our foreheads (thinking)....if we submit to the Beast's rules of behaviour, we do not dodge the mark being put on our "right hand" of power?

If you do not submit...the scripture says...you will be "killed".
This shows that only those marked, remain inside.
This experience is being fulfilled, in any who do obey the scriptures
...by speaking up and proclaiming truth.
None of them who obey these scriptures and others, are able to avoid being expelled.

If you decide to "lay low" and keep quiet?
Then you are not obeying the commands of the Bible (Ps.26:4; Eph.4:25),
as cited in the scriptures above.
You continue to be marked on your right hand, by the demands of the Organization and your desire to remain in the midst of the abomination of desolation.

If still inside the Organization, you are not permitted to buy "gold refined by fire" directly from Christ;
You may not sell (or dispense spiritual provisions/food)...without the stamp of sanction from the "Beast". All provisions are under the oversight of the Organization, and nothing but it's defiled waters (Rev.8:10-11), are permitted. (Isa.55:2). (see again Rev.13:15-16,17)

All violators are expelled/"killed" (John 16:2; Rev.13:15; 11:7). It helps to remember that Revelation is symbolic (Rev.1:1).

The 5 virgins (anointed ones) "buy" from those who "sell" (Matt.25:9-10), rather than from Christ (Rev.3:18). This is where the light in their lamps comes from (Matt.6:22-23), which light Jesus does not recognize (Matt.25:10-11,12). This shows us, that the Beast is over spiritual provisions and worship, just as many verses in Rev.13 indicate.

Read the latest blog about the disgusting thing. Will mull it over.
 If the application is to flee to the 'mountains' applies to the Org..then the time period when the army came.. and then left and came back,this time to flee must also apply. Cant remember how long that was(would be freaky if it was 3.5 years) But if one applies one part of what happened to apostate Jews, then the "time to flee" has to also apply.
 Maybe thats when the 2 witnesses appear and help people "get out"

Hi Xxxx,
I'm having trouble understanding what you mean. Is it about the warning the Christians received by seeing the surrounding of Jerusalem, and then the retreat of that army...and then their later return 3 1/2 years later? Of course today, this all takes place spiritually. It is true today, that if the warning is not heeded, it will be too late when the desolation becomes inescapable and obvious. The withdrawal of Roman troops gave a false sense of security to those still inside. The Jews felt that they had "conquered the Gentiles"; but this was a false sense of "peace and security". It is the same with the wild beast
(Rev.17:8  "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.")
The "Beast" that persecuted the chosen people... "was". God's people then think that it "is not"; and yet as Revelation tells us, it will be "alongside" them...unrecognized. They do not recognize that their own Organization is now the persecutor.

Today, the disfellowshipping of anointed in the Congregations and the underlying, growing disrespect for Jehovah's chosen priests, the articles which pronounce their insignificance and apostacy, is the warning. The MOL has "surrounded" and is now dominating these anointed in each congregation (whether loyal to the Org. or not). Their [the "Gentile" (non-"Jews"/anointed) elders] intentions toward any who do not worship the Org., is now evident (Rev.13:15).
(All anointed but the Harlot and ten kings are under threat. The ten kings rule "with" the beast/org., due to positions they hold. Rev.17:12)

These proclamations of enmity in the study articles, plus the desolating of the faithful anointed, is the warning that leads up to the full collapse of anointed leadership, which no anointed will escape.
Even the anointed inside who are loyal to the Beast (ten kings), will have lost their own crowns after sharing guilt with the Beast who killed the faithful. (Read all of Jer.4) This is why the ten horns no longer have crowns on them, after the Beast becomes "scarlet"...stained with the blood of the two witnesses (faithful who have been disfellowshipped). (Rev.17:3,4,5,6) The beast is then said to have horns, but not crowns.

The "ten kings" lose their crowns (Rev.3:11) due to "hating their" anointed "brothers" (1John 3:15). That crown was their eternal life on the basis of Christ's blood (James 1:12; Rev.2:10; 5:9,10) which they lose because of that lack of love (1John 3:15 b; Heb.10:26), or, lawlessness (against the law of love...Christ's commandment. John 13:34). 
After the faithful are all "killed", the Beast no longer has the "ten kings" crowns to show off, not because the unfaithful inside were also "killed", but because the anointed still inside the Org. have now lost their crowns forever. 
This is because at this point, all 144000 are sealed, and the door is now shut to these unfaithful ten kings, who have retained the mark of the Beast (Rev.9:20; 16:11; 17:12; 13:8). It is also at that point, that the Harlot is seen as drunk with the blood of the faithful.
Once the MOL (Beast Org. along with the ten kings and ten horns with crowns), finishes killing the anointed who get sealed; the time to escape "Jerusalem" is over. All those in distress over the detestable things being done in the midst of it, have already been marked (Eze.9:4). 
The actual desolating of all Jerusalem (including GB members--the Harlot), is yet to come. At that point, all faithful anointed have already been expelled, and are no longer in the "City" of apostate Jerusalem. 
This later, full attack of the Beast on even the anointed Harlot, has been instigated by Jehovah himself. He put this act into it's heart (Rev.17:16,17). After it, none of "Jerusalem" will remain inside the Org. 
Once they, like Cain, "murder" their brothers (1John 3:12), the "ten kings" are no longer considered by Jehovah, as His anointed sons, but as the rest of the "uncircumcised" Beast (Hab.2:2,3,16; Jer.9:26; Amos 9:7,8,9,10).  The crowns on the Beast, are gone.
It is the crown-less beast, that attacks the Harlot which is riding it.
It is "scarlet colored", because it returns from battle, and is sin-stained with the blood of Christ's "killed" brothers (Isa.1:18).

Please know for a certainty, that the 3 1/2 and 7 times, are not literal.
ALL ANOINTED go through this cleansing/sifting, that lasts "7 times" (no matter when they lived John 4:35). It is the time when they are cleansed and whitened... or not. They each mature to become either wheat or weeds, depending on whether they cultivate the word in their heart, and come to the full stature of Christ (Luke 8:11,15; Mark 4:28,29; Eph.4:13). With the very last of the remnant however, these things come to full manifestation and revelation....for it is the finality of the harvest.
The time to flee is while the final anointed are still being harvested and separated as wheat or weeds. Once this sorting is finished and judgment reaches the unfaithful, it is too late to heed the signs now being seen (the trampling has already begun on the "least" of Christ's brothers). Jesus said that when you already see "the disgusting thing" "standing in the holy place" "trampling the Holy City"...THEN it is already time to get out (Matt.24:15,16; Rev.11:1,2) (but it is also not too late to get out). Can you see the similarity between the first century and the end?

I know that I will come to a full understanding of the seven times. This understanding has begun. It was one of the visions. Now... I do not yet have all understanding of what I saw. I have already made an article space for this subject, and will release it when spirit finishes teaching me about this.
