No Rain

At Rev. 11:5-6 we read of the two witnesses (Rev. 11:3);
"5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. 6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire."

According to the "Revelation Climax" book 2006 printing, pages 165-166 shown below,
those trying to harm the two witnesses, are interpreted as other religious organizations claiming to be Christian (termed by Watchtower as "Christendom").

The "fire from heaven" is claimed to be a 4-page Watchtower publication called "Kingdom News" along with other publications which would "expose Christendom's spiritually defunct condition". The drought caused by a lack of rain is interpreted to mean that the Jehovah's Witness organization exposes the "spiritual drought" of those other churches, meaning, a lack of spiritual waters.

Although some scriptures are offered to support the role of Moses and Elijah, fulfilled by the two witnesses; none of the scriptures provide the exact interpretations offered...
Specifically,
- that those seeking to harm the two witnesses are the churches of Christendom
- that the fire from heaven consists of Watchtower publications, notably "Kingdom News"
- that heaven being shut and the lack of rain, is the Watchtower's unveiling of a lack of spiritual waters available in other religions.

What I desire to publish in this post, is what the scriptures reveal as to the interpretation of Rev. 11:6 as I ask you to focus your attention on that verse's phrases, "These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls during the days of their prophesying".
As readers of this blog know, I always strive to offer scriptures for interpretation. The source of interpretative doctrine belongs to God (Gen. 40:8). This is the example of Jesus (John 12:49) and he should be our guide (John 16:13; 8:47).
So, lets take a tour of scripture to see what God's Word has to say about heaven being shut up, so that no rain falls.
(Italicized and bold words are the scripture)(Words in brackets are mine)

Deut. 11:17 "Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you." (God promised the good land to His own people)

1Kings 8:35 "
When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your (God's) people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place (God's temple) and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them..."

2Chron.7: "11 When Solomon had finished the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the Lord and in his own palace, 12 the Lord appeared to him at night and said:
“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.
13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (remember Mal. 4:2)

What we learn from God's Word...
(Rom. 3:4; Matt. 15:9;
1Cor. 1:25)
...is that when the heaven is shut so that no rain falls, it is because God's own people are being disciplined by God. Such discipline arrives due to their wickedness.

Please consider additional scriptures regarding God's own interpretation of His own prophecies:
Isa. 5:1-2,3-4,5-6,7 ; Jer. 3:1,2,3 ; Eze. 22:18,23-24,25-26,27-28 ; Zech. 14:17 ; James 5:17; Mal. 4:5; Ex. 9:33; Rev. 11:6

If you would like a link to read them:

What does it mean that heaven is shut, or opened?
Heaven is the source of God's gifts
(James 1:17; John 4:10;
1Cor. 14:1,12,37; 12:4; 1:7; 2:10; Mal. 3:10).
When heaven is opened, spiritual gifts of divine wisdom and understanding are offered to the humble and righteous (Heb. 6:4). This happened to the apostle John when he was graced with the scroll of Revelation (Rev. 4:1; 1:19). The two witnesses also have heaven opened to them (Rev. 11:12) as did Stephen (Acts 7:56).
Eze. 1:1; Matt. 3:16; Isa. 11:2
When the heavens are shut, access to divine spirit and truth is blocked.

We are told at Rev. 3:7-8...
"These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."

Jesus has the power to open the minds of the faithful to heavenly truth (Luke 24:45; Col. 2:2-3).
Jesus spoke of this ability to bestow wisdom,
at Matthew chapter 13:
"11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
    hear with their ears,
    understand with their hearts
and turn (repent), and I would heal* them.’
(*again, Mal. 4:2;
2Pet. 1:19; Rev. 22:16)
16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
35 So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”

The "hidden" sacred secrets are opened by Jesus, who holds the authority and power over those symbolic keys. He can open perception of divine secrets (John 1:51; 3:34-35; Col. 2:2-3).

As we can see from scripture, the symbolic opening of heaven is associated with symbolic rain.
Deut. 28:12;  Ps. 78:23;  Mal. 3:10
At Isaiah 45:8, we learn more about the meaning of rain...
“Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it."

So, just as we see the sky, clouds, and rain are all associated with one another in a literal way;
being blessed and granted to have divine wisdom is associated with and even vital for, having righteousness and salvation.
Our eternal life depends upon our salvation, through divine wisdom (John 17:3,17). That wisdom and spirit, are found in God's Word (Prov. 2:6; Ps. 119:105,130; James 1:5; Eph. 6:17; Heb. 4:12). Holy Spirit is the source of these things. Spirit is found... not in teaching sourced with men, but in the teachings of Jesus Christ (John 6:63).

If God's own wicked people repentantly return to Him, He can change the thirsty ground of the heart (Matt. 5:6; Isa. 55:1-3; Rev. 22:17).
Isa. 35:
"6 Then the lame shall leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the dumb sing.
For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
7 The parched ground shall become a pool,
And the thirsty land springs of water;
In the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
9 No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away."

Rev. 11:6 is telling us, that within the scenario of Revelation,
it is not "Christendom" that gets exposed for a lack of holy spirit, righteousness, and teachings of salvation. It is God's own people, in the time of the end.

When did Jesus begin his symbolic 1,000 year Reign?

Please consider the scriptures to follow.
Let's first read two...
John 18:
"33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”
36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from this source.”
37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is on the side of the truth, listens to My voice.”

Jesus explained to Pilate that Christ's dominion, authority, and power was one of Truth. All who side with divine truth, have Jesus as their king, and it is his voice that they heed, serve, and obey. For those who love divine truth; Christ is their lord, master, and king (Col.3:24).
---
Matt.21:
"1 Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. 3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
4 All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying: 5 “Tell the daughter of Zion,
‘Behold, your King is coming to you,
Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey."
-------
It would seem that Jesus had a royal dominion in the first century. Do we have further scriptures to confirm this?
Please combine the three main scriptures to follow, to see the truth...

SCRIPTURE #1:
Luke 22:
"69 Hereafter the Son of Man will sit at the right hand of the power of God.”  (confirmed by Stephen at Acts 7:55; Eph.1:22-23)
[Jesus was placed at the right hand of God in the first century.]

Christ's reign was over the Christian congregation, not over Satan's world governments
(1John 5:19; Luke 4:5-6; John 18:36; 6:15).
His kingdom over other kings (Rev.19:16) does not rest on anything of this world.
(John 18:36; Heb.9:11; 8:2;  1Cor.3:16; Eph.2:20-21,22).
  (1Pet.3:22; Matt.28:18)
The "kings of the earth" (Rev.16:14-15,16 NET) are anointed (Rev.1:5-6 NKJV) who are brought into spiritual battle with one another... the faithful, true prophet against the unfaithful, false prophet and its beast organization.
(Rev.16:13; 13:11; 19:20; 17:14; 11:3)
(1Cor.11:18-19; Mal.3:18; Matt.13:30; 24:6,8; Rev.12:1-2,7; John 16:21-22). (https://Who-are-gods-angels.html)
That false prophet imbues the sea-beast that serves him, with an image of being directed by holy spirit (Rev.13:11-12,14-15)
(What does it mean to "give breath"? see John 20:22)

By his conquering the world and its ruler; Christ set his followers free from the deceptive power of Satan, by his overpowering that first enemy, and binding the Devil's deceptive power and influence against Christ's faithful disciples.
(John 14:30; 16:33; Eph.4:8; Col.1:13; Luke 10:17-18,19-20; 4:18,21; Eph.4:8; Isa.49:24-25;  Mark 3:27; Rev.20:1-2,3; 3:21; Eph.2:6;  1John 5:4; Luke 10:20)
Note that those who are saved from captivity to darkness (Hades), are transferred into Christ's kingdom of light (Col.1:13;  1Pet.2:9). Who dare insist that Christ's kingdom did not exist?

From Luke 22:69, we now know that Jesus sat at God's right hand in the first century; Let's see why...

SCRIPTURE #2:
Psalm 110:
"1. The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

As God's right hand man, Jesus would be used and empowered by God to subdue enemies of truth and light. According to
Psalm 110:2, that authority and power of Jesus would be
extended through members of Zion ...the 144,000 belonging to New Jerusalem (see Rev.14:1; Isa.2:3 c).
During each of their lifetimes, those members of Zion would battle against Satanic lies.
(Rev.19:11-12,13-14; 17:14;  2Cor.10:3-4,5; 6:7; Eph.6:10-11,12-13,14-15,16-17; 5:11; Ps.110:1-2; Rev.14:1)

Thus far, due to Luke 22:69 and Psalm 110:1-2; we have established that since the first century Jesus has been at God's right hand. During his position there, Christ's enemies are being subdued beneath his feet.

For our final main scripture, let's learn what Jesus is doing while his enemies are being subdued under his feet...

SCRIPTURE #3:
1Cor.15:
"25 For He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet."
[Review of main scriptures: (Luke 22:69; Ps.110:1;  1Cor.15:25)]

Again scripture confirms that Jesus is reigning over his congregation, until through them
(Ps.110:2; Rev.2:27NIV; 12:5; Eph.2:6; Rev.3:21),
all enemies against his Kingdom of Truth, are subdued beneath the feet of Christ.
Ephesians 6
"12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Ephesians 5
"11 Have nothing to do with the worthless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them"
2Cor.10:
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"
1John5:
"4 For whatever is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that has conquered the world—our faith."
Col.1:13 reads;
"
Why is the era of Christ's reign, important to the prophecies in Revelation?
Because it clarifies when his symbolic 1000 year kingdom takes place, as well as when it ends. Satan is then released (Rev.20:7-8; 12:17) and the Great spiritual Tribulation is ignited against the remnant of the woman's seed.

Satan's release invokes a successful attack on the camp of the holy ones through the Great Tribulation
(Rev.12:17; 13:7; 20:7-9*; Luke 21:20; Rev.11:3,5*)(Rev.12:1-4; Matt.24:7-8) (meaning of signs: https://pearl-sign.blogspot.com).

That Satanic assault is expressed in multiple parables...
...a flood to drown the woman/mother covenant of life (Rev.12:15; Gal.4:24,26; Dan.9:26; 11:32)
...a war with the beast that results in the saints being conquered (Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke 21:24; Dan.11:33)
...a trampling of the courtyard of God's temple (Rev.11:2; Dan.8:10; Rev.12:4)(Dan.12:3; Phil.2:15)
...a man of lawlessness taking his throne of power amid God's temple (2Thess.2:3-4; Dan.8:11-12,24; 11:36-37,38-39; 12:7)
...and an abomination/disgusting thing, standing in the holy place/where it does not belong (Matt.24:15; Mark 13:14; Dan.11:31).
------- All these are various parables about the same events contained in prophecy.

How can we ever recognize these cardinal events of the Great spiritual Tribulation upon God's anointed people,
(1Pet.2:9-10,5;  1Cor.3:16;  2Thess.2:4; Luke 21:24; Dan.8:13; 12:7; Isa.63:18),
...if the timeline we mistakenly believe regarding the 1000 year reign of Christ, will prevent it?
Have you caught sight of the abomination of desolation?
(Mark 13:14;  2Chron.23:6; Eze.44:6-7,8-9; Rev.13:15)

How do Anointed Rule as Kings?

Question received:

Hi Pearl, I was reading a really interesting post in Reddit where they were talking about the talk where we can trust ‘our kings’. They brought out that the New World Translation of the Jehovah's Witness Bible, inserted the words ‘as kings’ in Rev 20:4 and Rev.20:6. I had never noticed that before. I had always referred to the anointed as ‘kings and priests’ because that was what I was taught; But according to those verses, the anointed rule as priests and as Isaiah 32:1-2 brings out, as princes.
Are there other scriptures which refer to the anointed as kings, or is that a false teaching to bolster the Governing Body’s power?
I know that in the days of Israel kings were anointed but the only scriptures I can find about the anointed refer to them as ruling as priests. It is so hard when you realise that so much of what you think is true is part of wormwood’s teachings and you don’t realise how much you still have to unlearn.

My Reply:

I am wondering what their motive is, in adding "kings" to those verses. I suspect it is so that more subjection to the governing body can be invoked, and referring to them as presently being kings, firms up that idea.
I also find it interesting that the contrast between a current kingship, and those not currently reigning, is described in prophecy (Rev.17:9,12-13). The governing body is rightly associated with the heads of the beast, who have already received their kingdom in this world. These prominent governing 7 rulers/mountains/kings/heads (Rev.17:9; Matt.5:14 YLT) who direct and control the body of the Beast/organization below them, stand in contrast to the 10 horns of the beast, who are kings that "have not yet received their kingdom" (Rev.17:12-13). As horns, they are used in the aggressive power exerted by the heads.

To see that the anointed are indeed designated as kings as well as priests...
Rev.1:5-6 reads: "and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."             (See NKJV version: LINK)

-- Jesus is identified to have an anointing as High Priest of God's spiritual temple (Heb.4:14; 9:11; 8:1-2; Eph.2:20-22;  1Pet.2:5). This position as a priest does not nullify his position as king (Heb.6:20; 7:1; Gen.14:18; Rev.19:16; Luke 1:32). Neither does it nullify the position of king, to the priests under the high priest...
As Rev.5:10 reads;
"10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and *they will reign* on the earth.”
At no time did the usual anointing into the priesthood, include the capacity to reign. Priests are referred to as ministers
(Jer.33:21 NKJV; Ex.39:41; Isa.61:6; Joel 1:9; Heb.8:1-2;  2Cor.3:6; 6:4; Rom.15:16; etc.).
Priests should not normally reign. Kings reign.

When the Bible does make a single reference to priests ruling (Jer.5:31); it is referring to a time of apostasy. This situation refers to when God's genuine priests are forcefully replaced by a  non-anointed, not chosen nor accepted by Godcounterfeit priesthood.
That situation is what fulfills Mark 13:14 and Matt.24:15. The holy place, is God's priesthood (1Cor.3:16-17;  1Pet.2:5; Eph.2:20-22). Trespass into that position by anyone else, is an abomination (2Chron.23:6; Eze.44:6-7 NKJV; Mark 13:14; Matt.24:15).
(Dan.11:31; Eze.44:6-9;  2Chron.13:9;  2Thess.2:3-4; Eze.28:9-10).
       -   (https://who-are-gods?html)
       -    (https://FLEE-Where?html

Your verse at Rev.20:4 tells us that the kings that rule with Jesus DURING the 1,000 years, NEVER worshiped the beast or its image and had "not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands" (LINK). That unfaithful option to commit idolatry, arises after Satan's release, after the 1,000 years end, and after Satan creates and releases the great tribulation/test. (https://the-greatest-tribulation-what?-why?.html)
At that point, the 1,000 years have ended (Rev.20:7), and the reign of the "first resurrected"-144000 who reign "with Christ" is then over (Rev.20:6,4)<end of verse 4. -- If Rev.20:4 tells us that the 144000 "reign with Christ for the thousand years"; is it being asserted on Reddit that during the thousand years, Jesus is not reigning as a king? If he is, then the 144000 are reigning with him
(Col.1:13; Eph.5:5; Ps.2:6-7; Rev.14:1; Dan.7:13-14) (Dan.7:21-22,18,27; James 2:5;  2Tim.4:18; Eph.2:6; Rev.3:21).

Rev.20:4 also describes these as being given authority to judge. That power was started in the first century, which can be seen at John 20:22-23 and  1Cor.6:1-2,3.
Notice that in these references (Rev.20:4; 11:16; 4:4), it qualifies these kings and their authority, by mentioning that they sit on thrones. That is not a material throne, but that symbol points to their qualification (Rev.3:21;  1John 5:4) in imitation of their teacher (John 16:33).

-- Jesus also gave his apostles the example of washing their feet, to demonstrate how to behave toward other members of the Body of Christ, even while reigning. At one point, James and John, right after seeing the vision recorded at Matt.17:1-3, requested that they could fulfill the positions it depicted (Mark 10:37).
Jesus counseled James and John, at Mark 10:42-45.
The reign depicted by the organization, is a reflection of Satan's governments (Luke 4:5-6). No attempt is made to hide that, when using the title "Governing" Body.
At Mark 10:42-43,44-45, Jesus forbade that some anointed should rule in a worldly way, over their anointed brothers, OR over Gentiles who would be used to dominate and trample their anointed brothers. Obviously, that sort of domination would NOT be the kind of reign exercised by the kings over which Jesus himself reigns (Rev.19:16; 1:5; Rev.5:10 NKJV).

-- So then, what kind of authority and power is exercised by anointed kings under Christ? He is always our exemplar (John 13:15). He refused to accept the type of reign he forbade at Mark 10:42-45 cited above (John 6:15).
The kind of power and authority that Jesus exercised, is the same sort exercised by his under-kings (Luke 22:29). He described that authority and power at Luke 10:19 and John 18:36-37.
-- Luke 19 reads; "37 Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice *for all the mighty works they had seen,* 38 saying:
“ ‘Blessed is *the King* who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!' ”

-- The royal, "mighty works" the disciples had seen, was their king's ability to raise the dead, cure the sick, and teach the light of truth. Christ offered God's grace of repentance and life to God's nation
(John 1:11-13; Gal.3:26; Ps.82:6;  2Pet.1:4) and the promised inheritance of Abraham would be given to those who accepted Christ (John 1:14; 17:22,2; Gal.3:29; Luke 4:16-17,18-19,20-21; Gen.22:18; Gal.3:29). Jesus foretold that the kings under him, would do similar works (John 14:12; Matt.10:7-8), but in a greater way (John 6:63).

The "king of kings" has outlined the nature of a righteous, spiritual reign by his own example (Rev.19:16). Those kings who remain under the kingdom of Christ, reign as he reigned. He was always submissive to his own King, the Father. We faithful anointed must also, employ our authority and power into submissive service to God and Christ (Rev.4:4,10-11; 22:1-2,3; John 1:51; Gen.28:12,14; Heb.1:6; 2:5,16; Gal.3:29).
Those who do not recognize "the kings of the earth" as anointed (Rev.1:5), but rather as governments within Satan's world, do not realize that Satan (not Jesus) is ruler over the world and it's governments (1John 5:19; Luke 4:5-6).  Jesus refused to be a part of the world (John 17:16;  1John 2:15-17; James 4:4; John 18:36). To believe that Jesus is a ruler of this world's governments, is error. That erroneous belief prevents an accurate interpretation or understanding of Revelation's prophecies.

As regards your reference to Isa.32:1-2...
As you can see by the translation being used on this page (and others), "princes" can be translated as "Rulers". Jesus himself, who we have already proven is a king, was also referred to as a Prince, at Isa.9:6-7.
Why?
Our idea of a prince conveys the thought that he is under his father who is the actual king (Isa.32:1 NKJV).
That is true of both Christ (1Cor.15:24-25,26-27,28) and his fellow kings (Rev.19:16; 5:12-14; Gal.1:3-5).
Yet each assigned king, when found faithful with their use of royal authority and power, will receive their own dominion *(Luke 19:15,17), over which, is the dominion of a greater king.

A governing leader recently categorized those who would be written, removed, or not written, in the “book of life”. He mentioned the word, “remembrance”, saying it was found in Malachi chapter 3, but avoided reading it.

“At that time those who feared the Lord spoke to one another. The Lord took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the Lord and had high regard for His name.” Mal. 3:16

Perhaps we should concentrate on the context around this scripture, which will describe the state of God’s chosen priesthood today. The anointed servants of Jesus Christ have abandoned his headship, to serve an evil slave and the slave’s idol/organization. (John 15:4;  1John 2:28; Eph.1:22-23;  1Cor. 6:15;  2Pet. 3:17) (Matt.24:48-49,50-51;  2Thess. 2:3-4; Rom.1:25; Rev.13:1-2,11-12,4)

It is true; a JW may speak of Jesus, even claim to obey him, yet disobediently choose the words of powerful men, over the words of Jesus Christ.
(Prov.4:1-2;  2Tim. 4:2-4;  1Tim. 4:1;  2Cor. 11:4; Matt.15:9)
This is the case with God’s holy priesthood, the “living stones” of His Temple dwelling in Spirit.
(1Pet. 2:5,9;  1Cor. 3:16-17; Eph.2:20-22)
As a result, their individual “sacrifices of praise” have been silenced.
(Num.28:6; Heb.10:11; 13:15; Dan.12:11)

The priests have willingly let go of this obligation to God, without upholding and protecting not only God’s Temple dwelling within their hearts, but to uphold and protect the truth in Jesus Christ.
(Num.3:10;  2Chron. 23:6; 26:16-18; Ezek.44:16; Dan.8:11,12; Mal.2:7,8;  2John 1:9-11;  2Tim. 2:15)

Someone else is telling them what to say, when to say it, and how to say it.
(Ezek.44:8;  2Thess. 2:3,4;  1Cor. 3:16;  2Cor. 11:20; Dan 7:7; Rev.13:6)
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezek%2044%3A8%3B%202%20Thess%202%3A3%2C4%3B%201%20Cor%203%3A16%3B2%20Cor%2011%3A20%3B%20Dan%207%3A7%3BRev%2013%3A6&version=NKJV)
Their role as God’s teachers has been eliminated by counterfeit elder “priests” ‘representing the royal priesthood’. (Mal.2:7) God’s “kings of the earth” have been overcome by the deceptive power over them. (Rev.1:5) (Rev.16:13-16; 20:7-9) They are admonished to be an unobtrusive presence, and to remain scattered. (Dan.9:7; Joel 3:2; Zech.1:18-21)
In other words, the royal priesthood has been abased and trampled down, by the organization. (Lam.2:17; 3:28-29; Dan.9:8; Joel 2:17; Dan.8:11; Luke 19:43-44;  1Cor. 7:23; Gal.1:10)
[Of interest: “Whose is the Delicate Whispering Voice?”

The priests are tolerating men who demand obedience to an authority that has no backing in God’s word. (Deut.27:9-10;  2Chron. 13:9; Ezek.44:15-16) They must adhere to regulations beyond scripture, spoken as coming from “Jehovah’s spirit-directed organization” (Exod.32:8; Deut.12:32; Prov.30:6; Rom.1:25; Rev.13:1-2,15)

The Pharisees were guilty of this practice, and Jesus condemned them for it. (Mark 7:9) These laws are connected to the organization’s existence, and necessary to preserve an non-Biblical, duel dominance, consisting of false prophets and their elder army. (Dan.2:33,42; Rev.9:1-4; Rev.13:11-12,14; 19:20)

Christ’s chosen priests follow in the footsteps of spiritual Harlots, false teachers/false prophets, cowering under the leadership’s “empty philosophy”.
(Jer.2:17; 9:9; 5:31;  1Cor. 6:15-17,19; Gal.1:10; Col.2:8; Rev.13:10; Luke 21:24)
This was predicted to occur in the last days – Christ’s “kings of the earth” became captive to “demonic expressions”. (Rev.1:5; 16:13-16; 17:1-2)
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jer%202%3A17%3B%209%3A9%3B%205%3A31%3B%201%20Cor%206%3A15-17%2C19%3B%20Gal%201%3A10%3B%20Col%202%3A8%3B%20Rev%2013%3A10%3BRev%201%3A5%3B%2016%3A13-16%3B%2017%3A1%2C2&version=NET)

The governing leaders’ consistent failures of understanding and applying God’s word correctly, must be excused and disregarded by all; not questioned, to preserve their unrighteous authority. (Luke 22:24-25,26-27; Matt 24:48-49,50-51) Since when has it been accepted by God to tell continuous falsehoods, and it not be considered a repetitive evil, committed by God's people? (Deut.18:20-22; Jer.23:16; Matt.7:15-17,18-20)
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%2022%3A24-27%3B%20Matt%2024%3A48-51%3BDeut%2018%3A20-22%3B%20Jer%2023%3A16%3B%20Matt%207%3A15-20&version=NASB)
The book of Malachi explains it this way –
"You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask, “How have we wearied him?” When you say, “Everyone who does what is evil is good in the Lord’s sight, and he is delighted with them, or else where is the God of justice?” (Mal 2:17)

Also recently, a governing leader stated that Russia appears to be the present “king of the north” spoken of in Dan 11:41, that “enters the land of the decoration”. He implied that this means Russia would interfere in a significant way with “the activities of God’s people”, meaning all JWs. The statement was made concerning the organization’s ban in Russia, but with the outbreak of war in Ukraine, they have intensely promoted Russia as “king of the north”. The “land of the decoration” is also referred to in other Bible translations as the “beautiful land”, the “glorious”, “promised”, “pleasant land”; all referring to the early nation of Israel, and now to God’s “Israel”, His “inhabited homeland”. (1Cor. 3:9,16; John 14:23; Eph.2:22)

[SEE “World”/”Earth”/”HOME” -  (https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2014/07/world-earth-home.html)]

Their “king of the north” teaching clashes with their doctrine that the anointed are the locust-scorpions of Revelation 9, who bring their “stinging message” to the world. No matter how one perceives it, locusts devour land. In the book of Joel, the “northern” locust army, destroys God’s “beautiful land” (Joel 1:6; 2:3). God allowed this to happen because of their rejection of His commandments. This has a spiritual significance for our day, and ties in with the activity of the locust-scorpions of Rev.9. (Joel 1:13; 2:12-13; Dan.9:10-11; Mal.3:8-9; Rev.9:3,5)

[SEE --“The Great Tribulation – What and Why?” - https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-greatest-tribulation-why.html)

So yes, there is a conundrum that exists with their two doctrines...
#1 -
We've got one worldly entity apparently interfering with JW activity, as well as devouring a literal land - the Ukraine. There are approximately 129,000 JWs in Ukraine. Considering that there are supposedly 8 million worldwide, has this “king of the north” impacted JWs “in a significant way”? Only 1.6 percent of JWs have been affected by Russia’s invasion. However, the prophesy of the king of the north accurately comes against the holy priesthood, not all JWs, which reduces the percentage tremendously. If the number of partakers at last’s year’s Memorial indicates the number of anointed worldwide inside the organization, only about .26 percent of JWs are anointed, with the rough chance that there may be a handful found in the country of Ukraine, as well as Russia. What a weak show of force by Wt’s “king of the north” against Daniel’s holy people, the saints, in the last days! (Dan.10:14; 7:21,25) How will Russia find what is left of the 20,746 anointed scattered and unidentifiable, within the entire JW rank? (Lam.4:1; Luke 19:41-42,43-44)

#2 -
We also have the anointed priesthood appearing as foreboding locust-scorpions - not as a “beautiful land”, or a “land of decoration” - but "devouring" the world where they preach with their scorpion-like stinging message, and causing apparent fear and anxiety on their listeners (Joel 2:6-7; Rev.9:5-6). How successful have they been at devouring and stinging these last two years? Has their message ever reached every country in the world? As the organization trumps up their king of the North in flaming red on their website; their doctrines are deflating, in the presence of truth.
So, what is the truth? The locust-scorpions’ target, is the same target as the king of the north; God’s anointed priests/”kings of the earth”. (Rev.1:5; 5:9-10)

These “kings” are the very people whose activities have been removed... the “daily sacrifices” of praise to be offered to God. (Num.28:3; Dan.8:11-12;  1Pet. 2:5; Heb.13:15) These anointed priests are those who have been “devoured” by the leadership in the organization (Jer.2:3). They must bow down to the governing leaders and *their army, the collective *"man of lawlessness”, who “sits” in the Temple of God, ruling over the “living stones” who are God’s “own possession” – His promised land
(1Pet. 2:5,9;  1Cor. 3:16-17; Eph.2:20-22).
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Num%2028%3A3%3B%20Dan%208%3A11%2C12%3B%201%20Pet%202%3A5%3B%20Heb%2013%3A15%3BJer%202%3A3%3B1%20Pet%202%3A5%2C9%3B%201%20Cor%203%3A16%2C17%3B%20Eph%202%3A20-22&version=EHV)
The elder “forces” have boldly "entered" God's "beautiful land" and dwelling/sanctuary of His Spirit. Russian leaders cannot remove daily sacrifices from a priesthood they know nothing about. (1Cor. 3:9; Ezek.44:6-7,8-9; Matt.24:15-16;  2Thess. 2:3-4; Rev.11:1,2)
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Cor%203%3A9%3B%20Ezek%2044%3A6-9%3B%20Matt%2024%3A15%2C16%3B%202%20Thess%202%3A3%2C4%3B%20Rev%2011%3A1%2C2&version=LEB)

King of the north” – “And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortressthen they shall take away the daily sacrificesand place there the abomination of desolation.” Dan.11:31

Man of lawlessness” - “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Mark 13:14

JWs are taught that various entities are destined to come against them before Armageddon is finished; Gog of Magog, the Wild Beast from the Sea, Russia as the king of the north (but they change this at a whim). Incredibly, the “man of lawlessness” has no role against JWs in their playbook, and yet this identity ties all the above, together. These illustrative symbolic meanings for the same event in the last days, are deliberately blamed on the world of politics, by Harlots/false prophets who have left their covenant with God. They have purposefully confused JWs, when all these titles solely point to the organization and its dual leadership. God’s promised land has been deceived by Satan’s masterwork, to wipe out the “remaining ones of the woman’s seed” ( Rev.12:12,17; Eze.21:21-22; Rev.20:7-8).
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Rev%2012%3A12%2C17%3B%20Ezek%2021%3A21%2C22%3B%20Rev%2020%3A7%2C8&version=LEB)

Through this deceit, they have fallen into sin and idolatry, as foretold in the scriptures. (Matt.24:24-25;  1Tim. 4:1; Jer.2:4-5; Rev.13:4). And because of this transgression, God’s Temple has been desolated, defiled by the elder body “man of lawlessness” who “represent the royal priesthood” (2Thess. 2:3-4).
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matt%2024%3A24%2C25%3B%201%20Tim%204%3A1%3B%20Jer%202%3A4%2C5%3B%20Rev%2013%3A4%3B%202%20Thess%202%3A3%2C4&version=NIV)
By perceiving this change of command, it should be clear how the “daily sacrifices” of God’s chosen priesthood have been eliminated by those who claim to represent them!
“Rather than challenge their authority, we truly appreciate our hardworking elders!” Wt 02/8/1 p. 13,14

Back to the book of Malachi.
God rebukes the priesthood for neglecting their priestly duties. (Mal.1:6-7,10; 3:8) It speaks of a messenger coming as “Elijah”, sent by God to His priests in the last days (Mal.3:1-3; 4:4-6; Matt.17:11; Rev.11:1-3).
This messenger reveals the spiritually corruptible influence among God’s priests, and stresses the need for their repentance (Mal.3:7-9). But, do they all listen? Are they all written in the “book of remembrance” that the governing leader spoke of (Mal.1:4)? As much as we desire it, can you imagine every anointed one and all JWs, rejecting the idol and its falsehoods? (Zech.2:6-9,11; Rev.18:4-8; 14:6-9,10-12)

Under the spell of demonic expressions of the soothing promise of peace and security, God’s priests have allowed the arrogant evil slave and the man of lawlessness, to overcome them by their flood of lies. They are “drunk” on the Harlot’s wine. (Jer.6:13-15;  1Thess. 5:3; Luke 17:26-27; Rev.12:15; 17:1-3,4-5)

It is incredible that the governing leader even dare mention Malachi chapter 3, since it describes perfectly, what the Harlot is up to (See: Mal.3:5) (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mal+3%3A5&version=CSB)

God pleads with His people to resume their spiritual offerings that have been cut off, and to repent, acknowledge, and follow His decrees in Jesus Christ. He promises to pour out His mercy upon them, leading them in the spiritual bounty of truth in His Son:
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty." Mal 3:11-12

Yet, only those who “fear the Lord” respond to the messenger’s call whom He sends. (Zech.1:4-6; Dan.9:17-18; Mal.3:16) https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Zech+1%3A4-6%3B+Dan+9%3A17%2C18%3B+%3B+Mal+3%3A16&version=CSB

Pearl Doxsey:
"That book of remembrance is the same one, as the Lamb's book of life. That book contains the names of those who through integrity and courage, have earned God's favor and spiritual protection (Rev.3:5; Phil.4:3; Isa.4:3; Rev.20:12).
That book belongs to the Lamb (Rev.13:8 NET ; Rev.21:27), because these are those to whom his blood will apply...
(John 1:29;  1Pet. 1:19; Rev.12:11; 7:14;  1Cor. 5:7)"
