disgusting thing

What is, the "disgusting thing standing in a holy place"/"abomination of desolation? 
(Matt.24:15; Mark 13:14; Dan.11:31,33; Rev.13:10; Col.2:8; Rev.13:7; Dan.11:35; 8:13; Luke 21:24,20; Rev.20:9; 13:6; Dan.7:25; 12:10;  2Thess.2:4)
"First, let's briefly unravel and define the "disgusting thing"/"abomination" (depending on translation).

In history...
Deut.29:17,18;  1Kings 11:4,5,6; Eze.8:10; Jer.44:4 
                       (In the original language, these verses contain "disgusting thing", 
                        although not in all versions of translation...sometimes rendered,
                        "other gods", "detestable images", "abominations".)
Ezekiel chapter 8 merits a closer scriptural look, so that we can get a fuller meaning...
Eze.8:5 shows that there is an "image of jealousy" North of the altar gate...blocking entrance to the altar of sacrifice (perfect symbolism). Eze.8:6,9 describes...not a tangible image, but rather, activities being done in God's Temple. So the Image and the activities are two separate abominations.
Now for verse 11...
"And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel,..Each man had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up."
What is the problem here?
The answer is within the account at Numbers, chapter 16.
Do you remember what was going on there? It is worth reading the whole chapter to get the point of what Ezekiel was being shown.
To highlight the point, please read...
Num.16:3,4,5,6,7,10,11,18,20,21,35,40.

Can you see that those who perform the tasks which God designates for priests only, must not be performed by "the elders of Israel"? 
Even the king of Israel had to obey this law, which was punishable by death 
(1Sam.13:9,10,11,13,14;  2Chron.23:6,7; Num.18:7) (2Chron.13:9; Eze.44:6,7,8,9).
The abomination Ezekiel described, was the elders of Israel performing priestly duties within the Temple (offering incense)...the same offense as occurred with the rebellion against Aaron, who was chosen by God as priest. 
To have counterfeit priests in God's Temple presence is a gross offense against God. It is an abomination for un-sanctified, un-consecrated Gentiles to offer incense (symbolizes prayer) for the forgiveness of the people's sins (Num.16:47; Ps.141:2; Rev.5:8).

How is this occurring today?
The NWT of Gal.6:1 reads:
"Brethren, if a man commits a sin, you who have spiritual qualifications should try to readjust such a man in a spirit of mildness".
"have spiritual qualifications"...
How does the Watchtower apply this phrase? 
Is it not applied by the Watchtower to the non-anointed/non-priest Elders?
This is due to 1Tim.3:1-2,3-4,5-6,7-8,9-10,11-12,13. Should these two scriptures really be linked as referring to the same group?
Let's take a closer look at these modern day "incense" burners and the Watchtower's scriptural interpretation.
If you look at what Gal.6:1 actually reads (it helps to check the original Greek),
it says in essence... 
"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who walk/live by spirit/ who are spirit ones... should restore him gently."
This "walking/living by/being spirit", is not one of the "qualifications" for elders.
It is not in the list of qualifications for elders, at 1Tim.. chapter 3.
That is because Gal.6:1 is not referring to elders.
It is referring to those who "walk/live by/are, spirit". THESE are the ones given authority to do the "readjusting".
The Bible defines who it is, that "walks/lives by spirit"...
Gal.5:25,24 reads:
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires."
Compare this to Gal. 3:29:
"If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seedand heirs according to the promise."
See Romans 8:14,16,17...
"because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

Clearly, it is the chosen priesthood  who are to "re-adjust" sinners in a spirit of gentleness (Mal.2:7). 
This is their job as symbolic incense burners within God's Temple of anointed (1Cor.3:16;  1Pet.2:5; Eph.2:20,21,22).

So we see that the symbolic prophecies in Ezekiel regarding the "elders of Israel" burning incense within the temple, is certainly considered by God as an abomination, as well as the rebellion of the governing priests who dare to place them into that position (Eze.44:6,7,8,9;  2Chron.13:9)(Rev.13:11,15) (LINK).

This offense is alive and well today, as the governing body of the Watchtower has arranged for non-anointed elders to usurp God's chosen priests. 

How does this abomination cause desolation?
So-called elders perform the priest's exclusive duties, including judging (Rom.8:33), condemning to spiritual death, and expelling out of the congregations, any of the faithful anointed who protest this abominable disrespect toward God and His Holy Temple (John 16:2; Rev.13:15) (LINK).

The correct positioning of God's spiritual temple is essential,
 if the worship, service and obedience of God's people is to be in accord with holy spirit and truth (Mal.2:7). While God's spiritual temple lies in ruins within the Watchtower ( 1Pet.2:5; Matt.24:2; Rev.11:2); those desiring to render pure worship will be starved of "the proper spiritual food at the proper time"... essential for their salvation.

"Disgusting Thing" rationalized

I received a question about the reasoning of the WT, when they appoint non-anointed over the Chosen Ones. Please consider the value of that reasoning, and if it is truly in agreement with God's Word.
That WT reasoning is...
What about the Moses principle of appointing helpers?  
If only true anointed cared for the sheep, very few would get help.  
Is it not numerically impossible for the chosen to care for all "JW's"?.  
Is not Jehovah flexible in applying principles of leadership over his people?

MY REPLY:

This may seem to be sound reasoning, but if today's application of this pattern is not followed with accuracy, 
and that error violates any of God's commands, it is false reasoning. 
(Prov.14:12; James 1:22; Matt.7:26; Luke 6:46; Rom.2:13; Matt.28:20)

This arrangement under Moses was replaced, when God gave orders for the Tent and it's priesthood.
(Ex.25:1,9,22,40; 27:21; 28:1,4,41; 29:44; 30:25,30-31,32-33; Num.3:10; 18:7;  2Chron.23:7)
That Temple priesthood foreshadowed the chosen priesthood to come
 (Heb.7:11,12; 8:1-2,5-6,7-8,9-10; 9:11;  2Cor.5:17;  1Pet.2:10,9; Acts 7:48;  1Cor.3:16; 6:19; Acts 17:24; Col.2:17; Eph.2:20-21,22;  1Pet.2:5,9; Rev.5:9-10), 
under the high priest, Christ. 
We are under that New Covenant now,
so that this is the pattern we are to follow.
We must look to the "shadow" pattern of that physical Temple and priesthood, 
to enact God's approved arrangement of the spiritual Temple "reality", 
under the New Covenant to the anointed priesthood, which is now.
(Heb.9:8-9,11-12,15,23-24)

Yet there are some things we can learn from the example of Moses and his "helpers".
God Himself bore witness to His nation, to the fact that Moses was His approved representative (Josh.1:7).
God spoke of Moses as being above prophets, in that God spoke to Moses "face to face" (Num.12:6-7,8).
Can any man today, rightly claim a comparative position to that of Moses?

Among the anointed, there is only one Head and Leader...the Christ
 (Matt.23:8,10; Eph.1:22; 5:29-30,28; Col.1:18). Only he speaks face to face with God (Heb.9:24) and has had God Himself bear witness of divine approval (John 8:18; Mark 9:7).
If we today are to compare God's approved leader of His nation, Moses, with anyone; 
it should be the high priest of the Temple reality, Christ. He is the only single head of the Congregation, similarly appointed by the authority of God (Eph.1:22).

Christ's appointed "helpers" are his chosen under-priests, who are the only ones permitted to serve in the spiritual Temple priesthood (Num.18:7;  1Pet.2:5;  2Cor.5:20;  1Cor.3:9). Others may support these, but it is forbidden by God, to replace them or assume their assigned duties
(Num.16:10;  2Chron.13:9; Eze.44:6-7,8-9;  2Thess.2:4; Dan.11:31; Mark 13:14) (1Pet.2:9-10;  1Cor.6:1-2,3)
 or bring them under subjection to anything but Christ (1Cor.7:23; Rom.6:16; Gal.1:10-11,12,16-17,20; Col.3:24) (2Cor.11:3-4,20; Col.2:8; Rev.13:10,7; 11:2).

How do the elders today support all the Chosen priests, including the "least" of Christ's brothers? (Matt.25:32,45-46; John 13:20)
Are the elders truly under the direction and service of all those appointed by God's spirit, or do they usurp and dominate the divine designation of these, in order to serve a prominent few who claim to be the exclusive faithful slaves of God? 
Luke 22:24; 9:46-47,48; Mark 10:42-43,44; Rom.11:18;  1Cor.12:7,10-11,12,14,18-19,20-21,22,25,27-28,29)

Do the elders take the lead in judging, directing, and even punishing God's chosen priests 
(John 16:2; Mark 13:13; Isa.66:5; Luke 21:16-17; Matt.24:9; Rom.8:33; Hosea 4:4; Rom.14:4); 
rather than yielding to the Headship of Christ over his own Bride and chosen slaves?

The "helpers" of Moses were Israelites, members of God's Nation. The "Israel of God" today, are a Nation of spiritual Jews (Rom.2:28-29; Col.2:11;  1Pet.2:9; Gal.3:29,26)....not spiritual Gentiles (Rev.3:9; 11:2).
God did not approve of appointing Gentile "helpers" over His Nation under Moses,
so that these could dominate, and even oppress his people.
In fact, it was Moses who delivered God's people from such Gentile oppression under Egypt!
 (Rev.11:3,8)

The reality today, is that Non-anointed elders (spiritual Gentiles) do not assist the "least" brothers of Christ.
Many of these least ones are being judged and expelled (by these spiritual Gentiles) for loyalty and subjection to truth and their husband and head Jesus, rather than to the false doctrines of the current steward and his army of Gentiles. These loyal brothers of Christ are being "beaten" for their faithful declarations (Luke 12:45-46; Hosea 6:5), by means of the Gentile so-called "helpers";
   ...just as the last Harlot persecutes God's witnesses (Rev.17:3,6)
through the Gentile Wild Beast she rides (Rev.17:3; 11:7)
  (...and as the "false prophet" persecutes through the Gentile Wild Beast --Rev.13:11,15,17,7; 16:13) 
  (and as the "fallen star", "Wormwood", persecutes those not yet sealed, through the "locust-scorpions -Rev.8:10-11; 9:1,3-4,10)
  All these illustrations depict the very same identities...
each illustration providing additional details about each of them.

When Moses was given divine authority, there was no question as to him being an authentic representative of God.
Yet when it comes to all Chosen Ones...Jesus pointed out two distinct possibilities...
"Who really is the faithful and discreet slave?" (Matt.24:45)
Some would remain faithful representatives, and therefore lead others in the way of truth (1Cor.4:2,1; John 7:38-39,18,17).
Others would become unfaithful slaves, and lead others into error 
(1Tim.4:1; Matt.24:4-5,11,24-25,48-49,50-51; 7:15,20;  2Pet.2:1-2,3; Col.2:8; John 8:47;  2Cor.11:13-14,15; Rev.2:2;  2Thess.2:1-2,3-4; Acts 20:30; Luke 16:1-2; Rev.2:20; 13:7,10-11). 

God assigns His chosen priests into positions which direct their individual assignment and responsibility, according to His own choosing
 (1Cor.12:4,18-19,13,27-28,29; Rom.12:6;  1Cor.14:32; Eph.4:11-12,13). Those positions are made plain within scripture as "apostles, prophets, teachers, etc.".

 God has clear authority to assign each anointed one. Those not fulfilling their assignment come under the Master's condemnation (Matt.25:19; Rev.3:2; Ec.12:14; Rom.2:16). 
How are the elders today, respecting God's appointment of each anointed assignment, by their supporting the various positions within the entire body of Christ's anointed slaves, under Christ their Head?

In the parable about the wicked steward, Jesus makes clear that this unfaithful slave, is one of his genuine chosen ones, ruling over Christ's own household of chosen slaves (Luke 12:42-43,45-46,47-48). The wicked steward of Christ's illustration is over the household of God, and is genuinely anointed. 
(I don't know of any other religious organization, that is directed by those claiming to be Chosen Ones, nor other religious organizations even understanding this divine assignment and designation). 

  Fulfilling these traits (of being a ruling chosen one, "star", "lamb", false "Elijah", "Harlot", "Steward" appointed and anointed by Christ -Luke 12:42), is a requirementin order for a religion to fulfill Revelation's prophecies. -Rev.8:10; 9:1; 1:20; 13:11,15,13;  2Kings 1:10; Rev.17:1; Deut.31:16; Isa.1:21; Jer.3:1,3 -lit."forehead"; Rev.17:5; Eze.16:17; Rev.13:14; Eze.20:30; 23:30; Hosea 6:10; 9:1)

The possibility of an appointed steward's unfaithfulness (as described by Jesus) must be considered, before assuming that a "Steward" should be supplied an army of "Gentile" supporters, if these are being used to beat a steward's fellow slaves. Today's "helpers" are exclusively supporting the Steward, and are being used to suppress his brothers in Christ. Such an arrangement is not of God. Such an arrangement is not outlined in scripture, other than it's fulfilling the foretold traits of the wicked slave, "Harlot", "false prophet", man of lawlessness, and "fallen star".

Jesus referred to the existence of both faithful and unfaithful anointed...
 (2Pet.2:11;  1Cor.11:19; Matt.18:7,6; Rev.18:2; 8:8; Mark 11:23; Jer.51:42,64;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14), 
...when he spoke of two sorts of prophets and "trees" (Matt.7:15-16,17-18,19-20; 12:33,35-36,37). 
He told us to be discerning and cautious, and to examine the fruit of all those claiming to be "Christs" (Greek-"anointed") if we wished to avoid the wide path of those deceived. 

Christ's repeated warnings should not go unheeded; nor should the identity of the faithful slaves be assumed; due to their having power, riches, or religious influence (1Cor.4:8-9,10-11,12-13,14; Matt.4:9). 
If we compare that image of the Scribes and Pharisees to that of Jesus Christ, the contrast contained within Christ's example becomes clear 
(Matt.16:24-25; Phil.3:10; Rom.8:17,36). 
It is Christ's model which the faithful anointed follow as Master 
(1Pet.2:21-22; Rev.14:5), not spiritual Gentiles, or other chosen ones (Gal.6:4-5)
 (1Cor.1:12-13; Matt.23:8;  1Cor.4:6; Gal.1:11-12;  2Cor.11:20,4,2-3,5,12-13,14-15).

The helpers of Moses were chosen and installed according to the suggestion of his father-in-law Jethro who was a Midianite priest, not according to a directive from God. Moses was serving God like a priest would (Ex.18:15; Mal.2:7), prior to the official inauguration of the Levitical priesthood. It was during this time, that Moses yielded to Jethro's suggestion. (Ex.18:13-14,15-16,24). 

Although Jethro was critical of Moses slaving for God "morning to evening" (Ex.18:14), there was nothing wrong with this in God's eyes. This is in fact, normal for chosen priests (1Chron.9:33; 23:30,32; Rev.7:15). It was not until Moses complained to God (Num.11:10-11,12,14-15), that God made an arrangment for Moses to share his authority (Num.11:16); but this came at a price (Num.11:17,25).
The "helpers" suggested by Jethro were under the oversight of Moses, who was a proven representative of God.

Despite this historical arrangement being applied to the arrangement of today, God's own arrangement forbids the replacing of the chosen priests, nor allows their sacred service to be performed by others. (Num.16:10; 18:7;  2Chron.13:9; Eze.44:6-7,8-9)
Therefore, this assumptive comparison to the helpers of Moses must be carefully scrutinized,
especially in light of the prophecies regarding the Holy Ones... 
   (stars -Rev.1:20; Phil.2:15; Dan.12:3) 
...losing their power (Matt.5:13; Luke 21:24)
(Rev.12:4; Dan.8:10-11,12-13; 12:7; Rev.11:2; Luke 21:24)  
...and their sacrifices being discontinued in the time of the end 
(Dan.8:11; 9:27; 11:31-32,33-34,35-36,37; 12:11;  2Thess.2:4; Matt.24:15-16; Rev.13:7; Dan.7:21) 
...by means of a "disgusting thing standing" in God's anointed temple (1Cor.3:16,17; Mark 13:14). 

Jesus pointed to the fact that the Scribes and Pharisees seated themselves in the seat of Moses (Matt.23:2).
  Is  it  appropriate for those of the New Covenant and anointed body of Christ, to imitate those religious leaders by acting similarly over their fellow slaves? 
What did Jesus say about this? 
(Matt.5:20; 23:8-9,10-11,12; Mark 9:33-34,35; 10:37,40,42-43,44).

The man-made term and doctrine of "governing body" is truly not found within scripture. 
Jesus brings "all authority, governments and powers" to nothing, upon his return, regardless of their claims 
(1Cor.15:24; Matt.4:8-9,10;  1Cor.4:8-9,10-11,12-13; Eph.6:11-12,18). 

If the scriptures which supposedly support the concept of a governing body are closely examined according to the rest of God's Word, that concept disintegrates (John 5:44,43; Gal.1:10-11,12,17-18,19-20). 
It was James (who was not one of the apostles) that called the congregation in Jerusalem to their senses, to stop persecuting Paul and resisting the demonstrated work of Holy Spirit (Acts 15:1,5,10,12-13,19-20). James was first to suggest the precise decrees which were accepted and published.
The entire congregation agreed (Acts 15:22-23,24-25,26).

If we resort to the pattern which the scriptures themselves direct us to consult, we note that Christ is the cornerstone of the spiritual Temple priesthood (Eph.2:20; Ps.118:22; Acts 4:11). The apostles and prophets are the foundation (Eph.2:20; Rev.21:14), upon which the rest of the "living stones" are erected (Eph.2:22;  1Pet.2:5). 
There is no mention within the Temple arrangement, of spiritual Gentile "helpers" who become masters over the faith of anointed priests (2Cor.1:24;  1Cor.4:6). No one but Jesus Christ is given the right to judge which stones are fit for inclusion or expulsion from the spiritual Temple (Heb.12:22-23; Rev.3:5; 21:27; Luke 10:20; Rev.20:12; John 12:48; Rom.8:33-34). It is not up to spiritual Gentiles to replace or cast out Christ's anointed brothers. 

"If only true anointed cared for the sheep, very few would get help."

According to last count of partakers at the time of this post, there were over 12,000 partaking. The number was on the rise, but this annual public tally was discontinued, and then re-instituted.
What is the special role of these partakers within the congregation? Do you find one? (1Cor.6:2-3; Mal.2:7-8)
  The ancient Nation of Israel consisted of many millions. Yet how many priests served all the needs of the people?

Should the divine assignment of God's priests today be dismissed, because of the reasoning of men, and their lack of Faith?
 If men doubt that God's spirit can equip those whom He assigns to accomplish their divine commission, does that justify rebelling against God's expressed direction because we deem it unreasonable? 
(Col.2:8; Zech.4:6,11,14; Rev.11:4,3) 
Is God an adequate shepherd, or not? (Eze.34:12; Ps.23:1-2,3-4,5-6) Will He not care for His sheep according to His own decrees?

Which is more reasonable...
for 12,000 to serve and shepherd God's flock, or 8?

If we look to the scriptures, we see an example as a lesson in this.
Both Saul and Uzziah thought it unreasonable to be patient, and wait on God's arrangement of the priesthood 
(1Sam.13:9-10,11-12,13-14; Num.18:7;  2Chron.26:16-17,18-19,20; Neh.13:29).
These proud men did not discern the sanctity of consecrated priests and their duties, feeling that others could "fill in" if the priest were delayed.
How did that turn out?

There was a time when the people grew impatient with waiting for God's direction through Moses as well.
When he took "a long time" to return from the holy mountain to give the nation direction;
the people thought God's principles so flexible, that it seemed acceptable to replace His expressed arrangement with a golden calf. They then ascribed their salvation from Egypt, to that idol (Ex.32:8). Who can discern, that the very same credit for salvation today is being ascribed to a Gentile organization that has replaced God's genuine spiritual Temple?
 
 Ps.94:7-8; Zeph.1:12

Even if we should judge Godly obedience as inadequate in caring for our needs, we are not excused when we deviate from it. 

Is it not numerically impossible for the chosen to care for all "JW's"?

Jesus and the twelve took care of the entire nation of responsive Israel in his day. Through their teachings and writings; these continue to care for all of us. 
How does anyone know what the 12,000 partakers can do with God's spirit, if these were brought out of their restrictive bonds, and began to prove faithful to their calling? 
Who are men to judge that God's spirit would be so lacking upon these, that disobedience is necessary and preferable, just as kings Saul and Uzziah reasoned? (Prov.3:5-6,7; Isa.5:21)
(Rom.12:2;  1John 2:17)

Is God's way "not adjusted right", because we deem His arrangement as "numerically impossible"? 
(Eze.18:29; Isa.55:8-9)
Who dares to cut God's arm short?
(Isa.50:2,4,7,9-10,11)

Was it not "numerically impossible" for Gideon's 300 men to conquer the Midianites and Amalikites, who were "as numerous as the locusts" (Judges 7:2,7,9,12). 

Why did God decree this numerical imbalance? 
God demands that we recognize, that His will is accomplished, "not by a military force" or any other earthly "power"; but by His own spirit and obedience to His direction. 
(Zech.4:6;  1John 5:3; Matt.15:8)

If we do not worship Him according to His spirit and His Word of truth (John 4:23-24; Rom.8:14), any efforts to serve Him while we lean upon our own understanding or the doctrines of men, are in vain (Mark 7:7,9,13). 
When was God's will ever accomplished through the power of men or the physical/earthly advantages of Satan's world? (Matt.6:19-20,21;  1John 2:15-16;  1Cor.4:8)
If the elders believe that the divine assignment of the anointed and the Will of God can only be accomplished by means of them; where is the giving of all glory to God? 

The divine assignment given individual anointed, is to keep their lamps burning based upon spirit, not upon doctrines of men. This assignment is ignored or scrutinized by the elders. When spirit decrees light other than the current official doctrine, the faithful are subject to persecution by these "helping" elders. 
Since those assignments are due to the will and choosing of God, that will and choosing is also ignored by the elders, in favor of the will of the "Steward", who has seated "himself" in the seat of Moses (Matt.23:2,28; 5:20).

We also know that with most principles, God is not flexible, nor does He change. God is righteous, and as such, He has standards. It is never okay to disobey Him or the teachings of Christ. Is the principle of exclusive devotion to God, loving and serving Him alone, avoiding idolatry, or going beyond what is written,  negotiable? Is it permissible to alter the chosen priesthood and it's temple service (Mal.2:7-8,9; Lam.1:10)?

The discipline contained in the book of Revelation to the seven congregations makes very clear, that if we deviate from Christ's direction, there are consequences. The principles expressed there are not flexible. In fact, unless the faithful are willing to die to uphold Christ's commands, Revelation's message is that they will lose their crown and fail the test.
We who face the time of the end, should be sober and in fear of God;
vigilant with a view to prayer that we may succeed in escaping what is destined to occur,
that we may be found spotless, and remain standing under Christ's inspection 
(Phil.2:12; Eph.6:18;  1Pet.5:8; Luke 18:26-27; 21:36;  2Cor.13:5; Mal.3:2-3;  2Pet.3:14).
If our focus and priority is upon how we can bend God's principles, to be flexible enough to accommodate our own application, rationalizations, and interpretations of His directives, we are asleep as to this hour of test.

Female prophets?

Below is a response to a professed anointed one,
who claims that female anointed have no place in teaching and prophesying
in a way that does not keep them in subjection to men.
I post my response to him below,
because it exposes a WT lie concerning the elders.

It is important to see through WT lies, so that we are not also mislead by Satan's masterful end-time deceptions (2Thess.2:9,10,11,12; Rev.13:11,14; Rev.16:13,14,15).
The WT interprets Gal.6:1 as referring to the elders.
They translate Gal.6:1 as "those with spiritual qualifications" and thereby they link this to 1Tim., chapter 3...the "qualifications" for elders....
thereby giving the reference at Gal.6:1, as referring to the elders.

I hope that your perceptive powers can distinguish exactly how Satan can use this twisting of the scriptures, and why their Bible is the only one to interpret Gal.6:1 in this way.
It promotes the placing of elders (anointed or not), once again, over the Chosen Priests (who are both male and female sons of God --Gal.3:26,27,28,29)....

"26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Yet if you look at what Gal.6:1 actually reads (it helps to check the original Greek),
it says in essence... "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who walk/live by spirit should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted."

This "walking/living by spirit", is not one of the "qualifications" for elders.
It is not in the list of qualifications for elders, at 1Tim.. chapter 3.
That is because Gal.6:1 is not referring to elders.
It is referring to those who "walk/live by spirit". THESE are the ones given authority to do the "readjusting" (1Cor.6:2).
The Bible defines who it is, that "walks/lives by spirit".

Gal.5:25,24 reads:
"Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires."
Now lets go back to Gal. 3:29:
"If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."

These are only two scriptures of many, but they are all that's needed,
to show that "those who walk by spirit" are those sons of God (Rom.8:14,16,17)...

14 "because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

No distinction is made here between the male "sons" and the female "sons", which is in harmony with Gal.3:26-29 (quoted above).

Paul concluded his reference about head-covering, at 1Cor.11:16,
"If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God."
right after saying 1Cor.11:15.

So those whom the WT says are "spiritually qualified", are not those whom they empower to do their bidding within each Congregation....those spiritual Gentiles (uncircumcised in heart)
(circumcision in the heart by spirit --Rom.2:29 are anointed ones)
who have dared to replace God's anointed priests within His Temple
(the disgusting thing standing in a holy place Matt.24:15;  2Chron.13:9; Eze.44:6-9;  1Cor.3:16; Eph.2:20-22).... No....
Those who "walk by spirit", are God's Sons.....whether they be male or female.

If any cling to the powerful portents and deceptions which strip the Chosen Ones of their place in God's will,
they resist Holy Spirit.
If you don't wish to be in harmony with the frog-like expressions, and take pleasure in this unrighteousness....
be certain your beliefs are derived only from scripture,
or that you are prepared for the consequences. (Rev.16:13,14,15;  2Thess.2:12)
Anointed ones (both male and female) are forbidden to be in subjection to men for any purported reason. Otherwise, they are unfaithful to their real Master. (Gal.1:10)

The parts of Christ's body are defined according to the job assigned by God...

1Cor.14:39 a reads; "Therefore, my brethren, be eager to prophesy". 
Was Paul referring only to men, as being eager to prophesy?
The Greek word translated into "brethren"/"brothers", is "adelphoi". It literally means, "from the same womb".
That common mother, is referred to at Gal.4:26 and Ps.110:3, and is a mother covenant to all those born of incorruptible seed (John 1:13; James 1:18;  1John 3:9; Gal.3:26,28-29), irregardless of their physical gender (Gal.3:28). All such "brethren", should be "eager to prophesy" (1Cor.14:39).

"'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all sorts of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams." (Acts 2:17)

When do the Anointed Serve, as Priests?

I think your interpretation of the Abomination of Desolation, might not be correct.  To sum up my thoughts, 1. I think the scriptures indicate that the anointed/elect are not serving as priests at this time.  2. They must run the race to the finish to receive the crown.  One does not finish their race until death or until Jesus coming at the end (whichever comes first).  
For certainty, only one has conquered and it is Jesus.  He is the sole King and Priest to Christians today.  3. Those "anointed" are simply due for this inheritance, should they finish the race and receive their victory crown.

I can give you some scriptures/prophecies, that point to what we should expect (if we believe them), regarding your thoughts.

Reply #1. Although you state your belief that the scriptures indicate that the anointed are not serving in the capacity of priest at this time, you do not provide the scriptures which indicate this. Despite that, I'll provide the verses that indicate the contrary.
First, we need to establish what it means to serve as priest... what exactly are the duties? If we clarify what the priestly service is, it will be much easier to decide, whether or not it is being performed.

What service do God's anointed priests perform, when they are serving?

1Pet. 2:5,9-10
  "5 you yourselves, as living stones, a spiritual house, are being built to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may declare the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people"
Isa.43:21 
  "21 The people I formed for myself will declare my praise."
Heb.13:15 
  "15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God
that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name."
John 15:8 
  "8 My Father is glorified (praised) by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples."
Matt.5:16 
  "16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory (praise) to your Father in heaven."

From these previous verses we learn, that the spiritual sacrifices of Christ's priests, are the symbolic fruit from their lips (Heb.13:15). That fruit of lips, is teaching and light, which causes God to be praised and glorified. As Luke 6:43,45 below reveals, Jesus also defined that teaching/speech/lip, to be symbolic fruit.....

 "43 “A good tree doesn’t produce bad fruit; on the other hand, a bad tree doesn’t produce good fruit. 45 A good person produces good out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart."
According to Jesus, the teaching is sourced in the heart."
Please read and meditate on the connection between Luke 6:43-45 above,

Therefore, 
the "fruit of lips", which is the spiritual sacrifice performed by the priests, 
is the teaching they do, which is sourced from what is stored up in their heart. That storehouse is either "good"/sourced in the Word of God (Luke 8:11,15; John 7:16-17)(Matt.10:20;  2Pet. 1:21) or is bad/from a different source (2Cor. 11:3-4,13-14; Gal.1:6-7; John 8:47).
So a priest can either be faithful to the teaching sourced in Christ/holy spirit,
or unfaithful to divine truth. Such is the also the difference, between true and false prophets (Jer.23:28,32,21).

So the critical question is... Are any anointed priests, now teaching?.... sourced in the good (Bible truth) that they have stored up in their heart? (Matt.28:19-20) If they are, then their sacrifices of giving praise to God, are being performed.
It is quite evident to me that by my life's dedicated work, as well as other anointed priests working with me, that your assertion which states that the priests are not serving, is not accurate. 
That was the case, while we were being dominated by the Gentile elders (Dan.8:11-13; 9:27; 11:31; Luke 21:24; Rev.13:10; Col.2:8; Rev.11:2; 13:7), but that was our previous condition while in captive subjugation (Dan.7:21-22,11,13-14,18,25-27). That is no longer our state of being.

2. Next you said; "One does not finish their race until death... must run the race to the finish, to receive the crown."

Reply#2.  Jesus himself declares what is needed to receive the crown of life.
Rev.2:10 tells us that we need to be faithful to the point of death to receive the crown. Yet Rev.3:11 tells us that we need to prevent others from taking the crown that we have. Is this death, physical? Mark 8:35 tells us that our life is lost, due to our loyalty to Jesus and the gospel. 
John 16:2 connects this death (and those who kill), to being expelled from the congregation. That expulsion, is a sentence and designation, of spiritual death. [Phone readers: (Bible link)]
It is as Paul said...
2Cor. 4:10
  "10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body."
Rom.6:5
  "5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his."

  "6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter."

There are many ways to be dead and to die, to be alive and to come to life (1John 3:14; Rom.8:9)...
only one way of which, is physical 
(1Tim. 5:6; Rev.3:1; Eph.2:1-2; John 5:24; James 1:12;  1John 3:14; Rom.5:17; 8:6,13,9; John 3:6; 1:12-13;  2Cor. 1:22;  1Pet. 1:23; Luke 8:11,15;  2Cor. 3:3; Luke 6:45).

When you say the race must be ran to the end, does this end mean physical death?
Was Paul, physically dead, when he said the following?....
"7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." (2Tim. 4:7)

Winning the crown is only one symbol of victorious faithfulness, and only one of the rewards. 
There are other symbols for the reward of the faithful anointed.
The tree of life (Rev.2:7)
Not being harmed by the second death (Rev.2:11)
Hidden manna and a white stone (Rev.2:17)
Authority over the nations (Rev.2:26)
Dressed in white and name written in book of life, name declared before the Father and angels (Rev.3:5)
Installed permanently as a pillar of wisdom in God's heavenly temple, serving Jesus, the Father, and New Jerusalem, forever. (Rev.3:12)
Sit on the Father's throne, with Jesus (Rev.3:21; 12:5; 2:26-27)

--Many of these rewards are put to use, even while the priests are physically alive and actively serving.

These rewards are given to the faithful. 
How do we prove faithful?
By obeying Christ's instruction to his anointed...
to teach (Matt.28:19-20)
to emit light (Matt.5:14-16)
to bear the fruit of lips that gives glory to God (Heb.13:15)
--- These are some of the duties of God's anointed priests (1Pet. 2:5,9). 
Woe to them if they are not found faithfully doing so, before and upon the return of Christ.

REPLY #3: Jesus gave his anointed priests, "talents" to use in his absence...
Mark 13:34
  "34 It’s like a man going away: he leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch."

We know that when that Master arrives, his slaves will have to give an account of how they handled their assignment (Matt.25:15,19). Did they fail to keep awake (Mark 13:36)? Did they hide the gold the master entrusted them with (Matt.25:25; John 15:6)? 
Or did their faith cause them to fearlessly preach/teach (Mal.2:7; *Rom.15:15-16; 12:1;  1Pet. 2:5), 
to the praise of the Father (Matt.25:25;  2Cor. 4:13; Heb.10:38)?

How then, are they to wait until after Christ's return, before serving him as priest? 
How are they to be rewarded with the crown of life, if they failed to do their assignment as priest, even in the face of expulsion and death?
Our death, is precisely because we have produced, the fruit of lips **(Rev.6:9-11; Rev.12:11; Mark 8:35)**

You speak of needing to be victorious conquerors in the face of death, and yet waiting to serve.
How are both, simultaneously possible???
How can one surrender their life for truth, if they are silent?

Abomination of Desolation toward the Constant Feature

QUESTION:
Would it really be reasonable to conclude that the "constant feature" mentioned at Daniel be "daily sacrifices", because such sacrifices were removed in the old covenant, and already made ONCE and for all time, by the High Priest?"

MY REPLY:
According to the New World Translation of the Bible used by those who call themselves Jehovah's Witnesses; Daniel 12:11 reads; 
"'And from the time that the constant [feature] has been removed and there has been a placing of the disgusting thing that is causing desolation, there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days."

If as you acknowledge, Heb.10:12 NIV tells us that the sacrifice of Jesus is "effective forever"/"for all time"; 
...how is this the sacrifice that is removed and done away with? 
For that to be so; God's Word would be contradictory, which is not possible (John 17:17; Num.23:19; Rom.3:4). 

Can it be reasonable to conclude that the "constant feature" at Dan.12:11 is the daily sacrifices offered by the priests of God's Temple?
A closer consideration of Dan.12:11 tells us, that when the constant feature is removed,
it coincides with the disgusting thing that causes desolation, being placed in its position.

When we understand what that disgusting thing is, where it is placed, and how it is causing desolation to where it is... then we can see clearly, how it removes the constant feature, as well as what that constant feature is.

Jesus told us further details of this disgusting thing, and where it is placed.

According to Matt.24:15, Jesus said it is installed in "the holy place" where it causes desolation.
Where is the "holy place"?
The scriptures repeatedly tell us, that the "holy place" is in God's Temple 
(Ex.28:43 NKJV ; Ex.29:30 NKJV ;  1Chron.6:49; 23:32; Lev.6:16,26). 
Yet that original tabernacle of God, as well as other physical temples... no longer exist (Mark 13:1-2; John 4:20-21). 

Take note!... Moses was told, that the ancient tabernacle was merely a pattern of the eternal, spiritual, and heavenly temple to come (Heb.7:22,23; 8:5; Ex.25:40). 
That spiritual Temple, are, the living stones who comprise the priesthood of anointed in Christ 
(1Pet.2:5; Eph.2:20,21,22;  1Cor.3:16; Rev.5:10). 
God's spirit dwells in their hearts (Isa.57:15; Rom.5:5;  2Cor.1:22; Gal.4:6). 
They have become the "holy place" (1Cor.3:17; 6:19; Eph.2:20,21,22), 
the "holy city" (Ps.48:1; Rev.21:10,2,3; Ps.46:4; Dan.9:24), 
and the "holy mountain" Zion (Isa.56:7; Joel 2:1; Zech.8:3; Ps.24:3; Rev.14:1; 21:10) 
where the priests sacrifices are given, and God is served eternally 
(Eze.20:40; Num.25:13; 18:7,19; Rev.22:3 NIV ).

Mark 13:14 adds that the abomination of desolation is  installed / "standing" 
where it "does not belong".
What is it, that "does not belong" standing within or over God's spiritual Temple or its priests?
Num.18:7; Eze.44:5,6,7,8,9;  2Chron.23:6; Num.18:7; Isa.63:18; Jer.51:51
Obviously... anyone who is not an anointed priest, does not belong in the vicinity of the Holy Place,
  nor serving in a priestly capacity.


It is prophesied, that God's spiritual Temple, IS trespassed upon 
(Rev.11:2; Luke 21:20,24; Rev.13:10,7; Dan.7:25,21; 8:11,12,13,17,19; 10:14; 11:31,32,33; Rev.13:10).
Take note at Dan.8:11,12,13 and Dan.11:31, in each verse it speaks of the sacrifice as being "regular". 
That word denotes that it is not one sacrifice for all time, but a sacrifice that is offered, repeatedly.

Please take note of the connection between the "abomination of desolation" spoken about by Daniel (Matt.24:15; Dan.11:36,37) 
and the "Man of Lawlessness" who is also prophesied to enter God's Holy place / Temple and usurp it... 2Thess.2:3-4. 
God's Temple, the Holy Place... is where that "Man", takes his seat / throne.
Does an identity of lawlessness, belong over God's holy Temple? (Mark 13:14)

Daniel told us what happens, when the "Man of Lawlessness" trespasses and conquers the Temple priesthood of anointed saints 
(Dan.11:31; 9:26,27; 8:11,12).

These two additions contained in Matt.24:15 and Mark 13:14 made clear,
that the constant feature that is removed (Dan.12:11), can certainly be the DAILY, priestly sacrifices.
Heb.10:12 NIV assured us that the constant feature that is removed, cannot be, the value of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ's life.
Dan.8:11 makes plain, that the sanctuary is overthrown. That is where the priests render their daily sacrifices. If overthrown and forced to cease sacrificing; that daily, regular sacrifice, is abolished (Dan.12:11; 8:11; 11:31).

God's priests properly have over them, their high priest.... their commander and head (Rev.19:11,14; 17:14; Heb.4:14; 8:1; 9:11). 
That changes when the sanctuary is taken from him (Dan.8:11-12) 
       ["Prince of heavenly army" -Dan.8:11; 11:22; Rev.19:11,14,8; 17:14; Eph.2:6; Rev.3:21].
       Without their attachment to Jesus, his priests can do nothing (John 15:5-6). 
       The fruit of their lips, ceases (Heb.13:15 NKJV ; Luke 6:43-45; John 15:5; Dan.8:11-12)
It is Jesus Christ, who had taken from him, the offerings of his priesthood
Unlike the perpetual sacrifice of Jesus Christ, established for all time;
the sacrifices of the anointed priests, CAN be halted... AND clearly ARE.


The reasoning you give in your question, asserts that the constant feature cannot be any sacrifice other than that of Christ, because 
"such sacrifices were removed in the old covenant"..... ", "and already made ONCE and for all time, by the High Priest?"
Is that true? 
Are the regular sacrifices of God's anointed priesthood, non-existent since the old covenant ended?
Did the one, perfect sacrifice of Jesus, make all priestly sacrifices of the new, spiritual temple, unnecessary?
We were told that the original tabernacle is a perfect pattern of the heavenly priesthood to come (Heb.8:5).
Is that pattern wrong when it comes to the sacrifices that the original priesthood had to offer, day and night..."daily"? 
(Ex.29:39; Lev.6:20;  1Chron.9:33; 16:40; 23:30;  2Chron.2:4; 13:11; Ezra 3:3; Rev.7:15; Dan.8:26,19)


Let's take a look at what is expected of the priests of God's spiritual Temple.

Jesus assigned his slaves, talents/bags of gold 
(John 12:49; 20:21; Ps.12:6 NIV ; Matt.25:14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,24,25,26,27,28,29,30). 
The slave that did not make good use of that 'talent/gold'...
      (Col.3:24;  2Tim.4:2;  1Cor.9:16), 
...was judged as unfaithful.
What 'gold' did Jesus give his anointed slaves, to make good use of? 
Truths of God... and the priests are required to teach it.
Mal.2:7; Matt.28:19,20

Heb.13:15 reads;
"15 Therefore by Him let US CONTINUALLY offer the SACRIFICE of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name."
(1Pet.2:9; Isa.43:21,10)
Rev.4: "8 Day and night they NEVER STOP, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is to come."
---Yes, that sacrifice of praise IS, a continual, constant feature....
       even for the new Temple priesthood... a fulfillment of the previous pattern (Heb.8:5; 9:24)

So, is there any other sacrifice, other than the life of Christ? 
According to Heb.13:15, is it required continually?

Isa.43:21 reads;
"This PEOPLE, I have formed for Myself;
That they shall declare My praise."
Isa.43:10a "‘You are my witnesses,’ declares the Lord,
    ‘and my servant whom I have CHOSEN"

Who are the people formed and chosen by God (Lev.20:26), and assigned to declare His praise
     (the fruit of lips -Heb.13:15)
1Pet.2:
"9 But you are a CHOSEN generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special PEOPLE
that YOU may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness, into His marvelous light".

So, when you assume that the death of Christ is the only sacrifice...
        (there are many kinds of spiritual sacrifices still required and 
         incumbent upon the anointed priests of God's spiritual temple), 
...and you assume that God's anointed priests are not required to be actively, constantly serving, as priests and kings...
then consider Rev.5:10 reads;
"And have made us kings and priests to serve our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
[ also Rev.22:3 NIV ;  1Pet.2:5]
Many, many scriptures, speak to the urgency and endurance needed, 
of preaching the truth to the praise of God (Matt.5:16;  1Pet.2:12).
"Drawing back" from performing that constant feature of God's abode, is condemned in a great many verses as well 
(2Cor.5:20;  2Pet.3:9; Heb.10:36,38-39;  1Tim.4:16;  1Cor.9:16).

When the "disgusting thing"/'abomination"... DESOLATES and tramples the Holy Place,
the priests that are assigned to serve there, can NO LONGER perform their duties of preaching the unchanging truth, that is sourced in Christ 
(John 15:4,5; Matt.10:27; John 16:13,14; 15:16; 7:18; Matt.24:35; Luke 21:15).

Should JW Elders, Replace God's Anointed Priests?

QUESTION RECEIVED:
Is there some scriptural basis for the JW elder arrangement given the accounts at Exodus 18:17-27 and Numbers 11:16-17?" (TO READ: LINK)

MY REPLY:
Just as brother-in-law marriage no longer applies under Christ,
No... the appointing of anyone to replace the anointed body members of Jesus Christ, is not permissible. 
Please consider:
Heb.8: "5 They (the original priesthood) serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: ‘See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.’ 6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. 8 But God found fault with the people and said:
‘The days are coming, declares the Lord,
    when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
    and with the people of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
    to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
    and I turned away from them,
declares the Lord."

As you can see, the spiritual heavenly temple made of living stones 
(Eph.2:6; Heb.12:23; 8:5;  1Pet.2:5) 
is NOT patterned after the helpers of Moses.
It was patterned after the original tent of God and the priests that served in that tabernacle.

If you read Num.3:10; 18:7;  2Chron.23:6,7 you will see that the original pattern did not allow anyone to enter the tabernacle, or serve in capacity of priest, unless they were of the chosen, anointed, and consecrated priesthood.
As was the case with Moses; Helpers are not needed to assist one man to lead God's people today.

Since Christ, there is an anointed priesthood, 
chosen by God Himself to perform the duties of that Temple 
(Rev.1:5,6; 5:9,10; Mal.2:7;  1Cor.6:1-3).
If you do not understand the difference between the spiritual Jew and the spiritual Gentile,
you will not be able to "catch sight" of the "disgusting thing, standing in the holy place"/"abomination of desolation" 
(Matt.24:15; Mark 13:14>"standing where it does not belong"). 

If you do not recognize the existence and identity of the "abomination of desolation"/"disgusting thing in the holy place";... 
How will you be in a position, to flee from it??? (Dan.11:31; Matt.24:15,16; Rev.18:4; Jer.51:6; 48:6)

The "abomination" that desolates God's anointed priesthood, is an Idol... 
the image of the Beast as having God's spirit (Rev.13:11,15,7,8)... an image given by the false prophet.

When we slave for an Image and obey its every command; that is worship that belongs to God alone. Those who accept a position in which they are obeyed without question, are making themselves, God.

You are also in danger of not recognizing the "man of lawlessness", when he takes his seat, enthroned over God's Temple and its priesthood (2Thess.2:4;  1Cor.3:16;  1Pet.2:5,9).
None should take headship over the Bride members of Christ, except Jesus Christ 
(Eph.5:23,25,30,31,32;  1Cor.6:17; John 17:21,22,23; Col.1:18).

You will not discern either of these blasphemous realities, unless you allow all of God's word to guide you, and you continue learning it.
If you search out or subscribe to, erroneous justifications for breaking God's statutes,
you are in danger of believing the Lie (2Thess.2:8-12).
