Who should gather for the Memorial?

TODAY'S POSTING CONTAINS TWO SEPARATE POSTS BELOW
-  -  -  -  -  -  -

IMPORTANT ADDITIONS ADDED...
A letter I received:

Good day Sister D,
I hope all is well with you and that preparations are also in order for the memorial.
Not sure if this question has been asked before if so please direct me to it.

Since Jesus sat down with his 12 apostles before chasing Judas away for the occasion. To me it seems like it was a private matter between him and his loyal 11 apostles.  That being the case why do we (non partakers) need to be with the partakers on the night? If Jesus wanted other people to be there he could have arranged it wouldn't you say?

I await your answer on this matter with great anticipation.

Regards
Modise

My reply

"If I understand your questions accurately; you are asking about who should gather to commemorate the Memorial of Christ's death, and who should partake. I will give you a scripture or two for each point, and if you wish to go into one aspect of my reply with more depth, you can follow up.

First... Who should gather?
In my mind, 1Cor. 11:33 makes this clear...
"So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together."

Notice that the "brothers and sisters" being spoken of, "gather to eat".
This indicates, that those who gather, are gathering, because they are going to participate in sharing the emblems.

Another scripture...

"After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you." (Luke 22:17)
When Jesus offered the wine, he told all who were present, to share it.

So my reply to you is, that those who expect to share in the Memorial by partaking of the emblems, are the ones directly expected to gather, according to the scriptures. No one was present at the original event, except those entering the New Covenant with Christ, and actively partaking.
How do we know who gathered at the original event?

juanes_avondmaal.jpg (1200×773)

Matt.26:20 tells us:
"When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve."
Why the twelve?
"Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve?” (John 6:70 a)
(John 15:16)
The twelve were present, because they were chosen by Christ to be there.
Were they the only ones that were following him, having put their faith in Jesus Christ?
No. See John 7:31; 11:45; 12:10-11; 12:42.

John 13:2 reads:
"The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus."
The Twelve were there, because Jesus had chosen them, but not all for the same purpose. Jesus knew ahead of time, that Judas would compromise his loyalty to Christ. (John 17:12; 13:11)
Jesus knew the prophecies about him, written in the scriptures. So although the twelve gathered, Jesus knew that Judas was not chosen to be in the New Covenant (Luke 22:20). He had only been chosen, to fulfill what God foretold about the betrayer (Ps.41:9).
At John 13:18 Jesus said:
“I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned against me.’"

So it was only those chosen to be in the New Covenant, that were present to partake with Christ.
This assertion is further enforced by a consideration of what Jesus said at that last meal to those in attendance for the emblems:
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last (1Cor. 3:14) —and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you." (John 15:16)
Jesus says that those who attended,
were those whom he "chose" and "appointed". A closer look at the beginning of that verse reveals that it is not possible to choose ourselves to be in this relationship with Christ. We, are chosen, by him.

As John 15:16 stated...those at the Last Supper of our Lord, were a hand-picked group, which Christ selected to "bear fruit" that would last. This directly refers to the "trees of life" inside the Holy City...

"Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations." (Rev.22:1,2)

Those who produce "fruit" to heal the nations, are Abraham's seed, about which he was told...
"and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." (Gen.22:18)
These are spiritual Jews (Rom.2:28,29; Gal.3:28,29), and have received of the circumcision of the heart, by Holy Spirit (Col.2:11).
Are all those who put sincere faith in Christ, members of these "chosen" and "appointed" to bear "lasting fruit"?
I could say from personal experience, that to be "chosen" by Christ, is an event that is clearly experienced by the power of Holy Spirit. Those who assert that they are chosen, and yet have not had such an experience, do not realize the difference. Yet, rather than rely on my experience of what it means to be chosen by Christ; let us examine scriptures, which prove that not all who have sincere faith in Christ, should gather and partake of the emblems.

What was the situation in the first Century? Did the 11 who partook, do so because they were the only ones who had put faith in Christ?

"Still, many in the crowd believed in him. They said, “When the Messiah comes, will he perform more signs than this man?” (John 7:31)

"Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him." (John 11:45)

"So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him." (John 12:10,11)

"Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue" (John 12:42)

Clearly, there were in reality, many that put sincere faith in Jesus Christ. Yet only 11 were offered the symbols of his sacrifice that night. If we return to John 15:16, it becomes clearer why this is the case...
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you."

Not all who make a personal choice to put faith in Jesus Christ, are appointed by him personally, to heal the nations by the fruit they produce. These have been selected by Jesus Christ, to receive the "circumcision of the heart" by Holy Spirit (Rom.2:28,29; Col.2:11; Heb.10:16; Deut.6:6,8; Rev.14:1;  1Cor. 5:7).
At the original first century occasion, only those so "chosen and appointed" by Jesus, were present at that sacred occasion, to eat the same bread, and drink the same wine, that Jesus did.

Since you already seem to understand these things, I will now comment on your questions...

1. Why do we (non partakers) need to be with the partakers on the night?

Simply put, you don't.
I would compare Christ's last meal with his Chosen Ones,
to a Bridegroom going away before a wedding. He has a last intimate dinner with his fiance before leaving, to assure her of his love and intention to return. He directs her what to do in his absence, and asks her to remember him, his love, and all he is sacrificing for their future. It is not an occasion that he invites all his friends and relatives to attend.
Scriptures like Eph.5:25 and Rev.14:1; and Rev.5:9,10 make clearer, who Christ died for, first (James 1:18; Rom.8:23; Rev.20:5,6).
That ransom will be applied to the rest of creation, under the Kingdom of God... through the sacrifice of Christ AND his completed Bride (Rom.6:5; Rev.6:9,11; Mark 8:35), when the New Covenant ends, through fulfillment (1Cor. 11:26; 13:10; Rom.8:25).
("End of the New Covenant")

2. If Jesus wanted other people to be there he could have arranged it wouldn't you say?

Absolutely! We need only consider Matt.14:15-21...
"As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the CROWDS away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
“We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
“Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children."

If the "Covenant by virtue of Christ's blood" (Luke 22:20) and the emblems which represented it were for all Christ's disciples, Jesus certainly could have included them.
When one is authentically Chosen by God, the reason why he didn't include the great majority, is easy to grasp. When genuinely chosen by God and Christ, such a one understands that this rare experience is not a wish of one's will (Rom.9:16).
No matter how the scriptures may seem to be leaned upon in one's own reasoning or deductions; inclusion in this chosen and appointed group cannot be assumed, without error. All scriptures about this subject must be accepted; and none, nullified.

If you would like to read more about "Who should partake?", this is another post on this subject:
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-following-is-comment-from-paulo-and.html

...And here is a recent post about which day we should memorialize Christ's death on:
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2015/03/this-years-date-of-memorial.html

As an afterthought,
It is not wrong for all those of faith, to be prayerful during this sacred occasion. Christ's brothers are being trampled, and are enduring perilous spiritual circumstances in our day. Our earnest prayers should be given on their behalf.

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Eph.6:18)

"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them." (Heb.6:10)
        (1Pet. 2:5,9,10 shows who God's people, are.)
Matt.25:31-46 (-click on to read) conveys the support Christ expects to be extended to his Chosen brothers, by all those of faith.

It is also good for all to remember, that the effects of the meaning of this occasion, reach everyone of faithfulness, just as Rev.22:1,2 highlighted.
For this reason, this yearly event has meaning to all those who benefit from the "lasting fruit" that those Chosen by Christ, have been chosen and appointed, to provide. Through such fruit, the nations are healed.

I certainly hope that you and your family are doing well. I especially pray that anyone in your life that might be favorable toward truth, will be reached.
Love in Christ,

Memorial Comment

(For those wondering about the subject, of who should partake of the emblems, this post is good: "Who Should Partake?")

Below is a comment which a reader left, at the end of the "Memorial Invitation", posted on 1/6/2014
My reply follows.
COMMENT:

"The Last supper is a symbolic meal that has significance, it's not the actual eating of the meal that truly matters but what the meal represents is what truly matters. So if a person eats the physical meal literal by themselves that does not matter, if a person eats the means literally among other anointed and does not carry out what the meal actually means, than that does matters. What matters is carrying out what that meal symbolizes, which is the gathering together of the body of Christ to eat of the bread of Christ. In other words we are together together so we can be taught by Christ.

So we should not be isolating ourselves from the body of Christ but we should be gathering to partake of the bread of Christ whenever we can. We should not isolate ourselves from our brothers, spending too much of our own time on our own blogs and personal pages and interest, too busy to gather with out brothers who we can find on other forums and sites, eating the bread of Christ together, not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together. This is what the memorial symbolizes and this is what matters most, not the literal gathering together, but gathering together to be feed by Christ spiritually."

MY REPLY:

Thank you for your reference to the symbolic significance of the Memorial event and emblems. I have written talks about that very subject, which were given at this occasion in the years after leaving the WT. You will find them in my blog directory. If you would like to consider some scriptural thoughts about this deep subject, here is an example:

http://pearl-emblems.blogspot.com/

The day I started this Blog site, I posted the header you see at the top of the Main Page today. There it is cited,  1Cor.10:17, which reads;

"For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread."
Gathering together in unity and harmony with Christ as Head, has been my keen interest since the inception of this site, due to it's being foretold in prophecy.

I must also state though, that even though the foregoing scriptural commands have such a spiritual interpretation, I do not believe that this nullifies the direct physical interpretation.

For example, 1Cor. 6:15 reads:
"Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be!"
While I perceive that this is speaking of spiritual fornication and a symbolic Harlot (such is found at Rev.17&18); that spiritual interpretation does not then nullify the prohibition of fleshly fornication with a literal Harlot, does it?

You say, that despite 1Cor. 11:33 and Matt.18:20, that "it does not matter" if the literal emblems are partaken in isolation. How do you conclude such a permission from within these scriptures? Do you have a scripture which directs these two scriptures to be discarded in their physical sense? If not, why would I nullify any aspect of their meaning?

If the literal emblems and Nisan 14 (13) don't matter, why should we partake of the physical emblems at all? If you do partake of them, why not do it as directed?

I agree that loving our brothers to foster unity is not optional (Col.3:14). Yet how does such a mandate necessitate that we nullify scriptural directives concerning the physical manifestation of this occasion? You seem to feel that it is either one or the other. Why can't these scriptures be applied, observed, and obeyed both spiritually and physically? I have no objection to obeying both. Do you?

"Carrying out what that meal symbolizes"

means dying with Christ (Rom.6:5; Phil.3:10), as he surrendered his life for his brethren (John 15:13). He gave his life to teach others the truth (John 18:37; 14:6). We share in that life of sacrifice for truth (Rev.6:9; 12:11; 11:7; 14:5; 20:4; Phil.2:17;  2Cor. 12:15; Col.1:24;  1Thess. 2:8;  2Tim. 2:10; etc.). I see the spiritual meaning of the emblems (and partaking of them) as a sharing in the meaning of that sacrifice (John 15:20,21; Acts 14:22; Matt.24:9; John 16:2; Rev.11:8).

Christ said to perform this occasion, in memory of him and what he gave for us that day (1Cor. 5:7; 11:24,26;  1Pet. 1:19; John 1:29; Rev.5:9,10). He did not say to do it to feed ourselves through debating on various forums, where I have found an unyielding disrespect toward God's Word.

It is Christ himself who "feeds and cherishes" his Chosen congregation (Eph.5:29); and cleanses it by means of God's Word (Eph.5:26; John 17:17; 15:3). When each member of that body receives "the proper food at the proper time" from Christ; should they "wait for one another" before they can accept it? (1Cor. 11:33)

Jesus questioned the individual love of Peter, by his willingness to feed Christ's sheep. Christ decides what is fed his sheep, and when. This is called "the proper food at the proper time" (Matt.24:45). I don't see how "wait for one another" before you "eat", applies spiritually. He did not tell Peter..."when your brothers catch up to you and agree with what I taught you...then you can feed the sheep". Some never will "catch up" (2Tim. 3:7,8,9).
Should those receiving Holy Spirit's teaching, "wait" to prove their love for Christ, by delaying to feed Christ's sheep with what they have received from him?

There is no need to "gather together" to be taught by Christ. The apostles and prophets learn directly from him (Gal.1:11,12; Rev.11:3,4; Zech.4:11,12,14;  2Pet. 1:21;  1Cor. 14:32) Christ can teach each of us our place in the body, through the genuine anointing with spirit and the scriptures (1John 2:20). What he gives those who remain in union with him is harmonious with what he gives others (Eph.1:10,17,23; 4:5,13;  1Cor. 1:12,13). If we share what we are given, it should compliment what others are given. Yet we are taught by Christ, not by men. Those who are apostles, prophets, and teachers, must still teach based upon the cornerstone (Eph.2:20,21); remaining ever vigilant not to base their teachings on a different foundation laid by men (2Cor. 11:3,4; Gal.1:7; 2:4; 5:10;  1John 2:19).

Dissension within the body is expected (1Cor. 11:18,19; Mal.3:18; Luke 17:1;  1Tim. 4:1; Matt.24:6,10,11,12). According to Christ, "stumbling blocks" from among them (Acts 20:30), must come. We do not learn from these, nor will we continue to gather with them, seeking unity at the compromise of what truth Christ has taught us (1Cor. 10:21;  2Cor. 6:17). If that were permissible, I would still be in the WT Beast, committing spiritual fornication with the GB Harlot!

I will assume that your second paragraph is directed at me, since you wrote it to me.

I will respond to each point.

"So we should not be isolating ourselves from the body of Christ but we should be gathering to partake of the bread of Christ whenever we can."

If you are under the impression that I am isolated from other members of Christ's chosen body, you are mistaken. I do not believe at this point however, that the Memorial should be replaced with a "whenever we can"/want/feel like it/have time ---conferencing/contending/sharing of opinions or perceptions. (Prov.18:2; 26:16; 3:7; 10:8)

The wise are guided exclusively by spirit and God's Word of Truth (John 4:23; Ps.119:98)
In my mind, the Lord's Evening Meal, and chatting on a forum, are two very different situations according to the scriptures. Try to recall the 10 genuine virgins, and the fact that the faithful refused to share their "oil" with the foolish (Matt.25:8,9). While they stood in the dark street at midnight (Matt.25:6), discussing the sharing of spiritual light,
they were not at the Lord's evening meal.

"We should not isolate ourselves from our brothers"

I agree. I never have. I privately communicate in a very personal way with many of them. We are very close and have a strong bond of love. There is a joyous growing of agreement in understanding. Do you assume that I isolate?

I reply to everyone who writes to me, as you can see here. I am easy to approach, as there is a contact form on this page that anyone can use, and many do. I do my best to not neglect anyone. Even though this takes time away from my writing, I know that it is my loving Father's will for me to care for each sheep individually, as well as publish what I was shown. My daily communications through letter responses are evidence that I am in no way isolated, nor are my readers, from me.
Daily there are searches done on Google for those searching for answers.
Because of my constant efforts here, searching ones (including anointed) can find results, just as my Father wills.
Just because I do not use my time according to the particular time and place that you wish, does not mean that I have walled myself off from my "brothers".

"spending too much of our own time on our own blogs"

How it is that you see it possible to spend too much time doing the work assigned by Christ,

or consider what I have been given as "mine",
or my life as "my own time"? (1Cor. 4:7; Matt.10:8;  1Cor. 6:19,20) I do not view such work as "my own time", other then it is mine to give in the service of my Lord. My blog is the perfect way to do exactly as I have been commanded... to write down what I have been given, and to offer it publicly. Others are free to accept or reject what is offered.
Gal.6:4 reads;
"But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in comparison to another."

Each of us will render an account to the Master, for our own assignment (Matt.25:19;  2Cor. 5:10,9; Matt.16:27; Rom.14:10,12). My own work...my own blog. Is there some other method that makes more sense to you?

You don't think I should work at this whole-souled, proving and fulfilling my own assignment? Why?

Whatever your reason, it matters little. My master is Christ. He directs my activity,
and my desire is to obey him (1Cor. 7:23; Gal.1:10).

"too much time on...personal pages and interest"

You've lost me. Personal pages? Personal interest? You will have to point these out, because I am not aware of the existence of these. Please follow up with what you mean here.

"too busy to gather with our brothers who we can find on other forums and sites"

First of all, your comment was submitted under "anonymous". I have no idea who you are, nor who your "brothers" are. Jesus said that his brothers were "those who hear God's word and put it into practice." (Luke 8:21; John 15:14) I am guided by his example (1Pet. 2:21; Matt.10:25; Luke 17:10; John 5:19).

A scarce few conform to this description on the public forums. I do search periodically to find such ones. When I do, and we begin a relationship privately, based upon God's word and it's practice, I do gather with those interested, regularly. It is a joy to do so. I am never too busy with my own interests (?) to give almost all my time to the sharing of truth with others. The only other pursuit that uses my time are necessities for survival.
The only forums I am no longer on, are those where I was asked to leave, to stop posting, told that what I offered was offensive and unacceptable, or where I was thrown off. The Bible's direction on how to respond to this, is clear.

"other forums and sites, eating the bread of Christ together"

The bread from heaven is not what is commonly found on "forums and sites". Hopefully you know the distinction between our daily heavenly bread from the Father (Matt.6:11; John 6:51), and the air ruled by the demons and their human "hated birds" who attack the work of the faithful, and against whom the faithful must wage war (Eph.2:2; 6:12;  2Cor. 10:4,5; Rev.18:2; 19:17,18; 17:14; 19:11,14; 12:7). We are not to have a sharing with them (2John 1:9,10,11;  1Cor. 5:13). I repeatedly try to offer scriptural proofs on forums. Whoever is of God, hears His words (John 8:47). Those who don't, are not of God, and are not our brothers in Christ. Those who don't, are certainly not offering the "bread of Christ", who spoke only what His Father gave him (John 12:49; 7:16,17,18; Matt.4:4).

"not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together"

Are you under the impression that I do this? If so, you are again mistaken.

Yet I do not gather with just anyone. I use the standards of Christ and the apostles in making this choice,
not my own. (Prov.13:20; Psalm 119:98; Luke 8:21)

This is what the memorial symbolizes and this is what matters most, not the literal gathering together"

As I have said, I do not view this as an "either/or" directive.

We must strive to fulfill the intent of the Memorial symbols,
as well as gather to partake of the physical reminders, just as directed by Christ.
I see no conflict between these two clear interpretations. I will obey both, just as the scriptures direct. However if you give me scriptural direction to stop following the physical model and command of Christ concerning this occasion, I will certainly consider them.

"but gathering together to be fed by Christ spiritually."

At Rev.3:20 Jesus Christ said,

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
How many are eating with Christ in this description Jesus gave?
Do you think this "food" is physical or spiritual?

Matt.10:27 reads;

"What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs."

When we learn directly from Christ during the night, and then we obediently publish it for all to read; we are giving "the proper food at the proper time". The "proper food" is the truth, from Christ. "The proper time" is when he gives it to you.
How does this compare to the spiritual fulfillment of 1Cor. 11:33?

Rev.3:20; Matt.10:27;  1John 2:27,28; and my own experience,
teaches me that there is no necessity to be "gathering together to be fed by Christ spiritually" if we are a "part" fed directly by him.
It sounds as if you dismiss the differing roles of each body part (1Cor. 12:29,27,28; Rom.12:6,7,8). Each one is stationed by God to contribute an integral and necessary part to the welfare of all. (1Cor. 12:11,18,19,24,28; 15:23; Eph.4:11,12)
Not all teach. Not all prophesy. (1Cor. 12:17) If all believe that they are apostles, or prophets, or teachers, confusion (not unity) is sure to result. "Confusion" is the meaning of "Babylon". Such is not food from Christ.

If you depend upon forums and websites in order to gather spiritual food and you were chosen to be a prophet, you have lost your unity with the Head (John 15:4,5) and are resorting to "buying" from those who "sell" (Matt.25:9,10; Rev.13:17). If you have been chosen to be a teacher or latter part of the body (1Cor. 12:28), then be certain that those from whom you learn, are true prophets and teachers. Use the scriptural guidance of Christ to discern this. (Matt.7:24,26)
There is no guarantee that you will find a genuine anointed prophet of Christ, perusing public forums regularly for endless hours, as this is not what Christ has directed them to be doing. I can guarantee that a true prophet will be consumed with their work of publishing the message they were given. This is the end of all things! (1Pet. 4:7) That work will include some public preaching on public sites and forums, which I have done much of.
That work does not include wrangling and arguing with those not interested (Matt.12:19; 15:14), or worse (Luke 10:16;  2Tim. 3:13; Matt.7:6).

A leisurely consideration of endless opinions is a luxury which a true prophet cannot afford, if they hope to be found truly faithful with what Christ has directed. (Ec.12:11,12,13;  1Cor. 4:6)

Christ directly provides the nourishing sap of Holy spirit to all his true branches (John 15:5; Rom.11:17,18;  1Thess. 5:18,19,20,21).
These in turn appreciate the harmonious fruit they discover, which is produced by the other true branches.
Thankfully God knows my limitations. All those (anointed) with whom I associate regularly, found my work from Christ, and wrote to me directly. My current divine assignment is to see to it that the work assigned me can be found,
and that all I have been given will be made available before I am finished.

If you are not interested in observing 1Cor. 11:33 and Matt.18:20 along with me on Nisan 13; there is no need to reply. I seek to afford an opportunity to obey the obvious meaning (both physical and spiritual) of those verses for my anointed readers and for myself. I am seeking replies from those of like interest.

"Unless you eat my flesh"

QUESTION:
When you find time, I was wondering if you could help clarify something for me.
I have done a lot of research on partaking at the Lord’s Evening Meal already, but kinda put it on the “back burner”. The scriptures indicate to me as well as the fact that the non-Israelites partook of the Passover Lamb before the “exodus”, that if “we want to have anything to do with Christ”, whether having a heavenly or earthly hope, rejecting the emblems would be tantamount to rejecting Christ.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

MY REPLY:
I will tell you right off, that John 6:53 does not mean what many are making of it....
namely, that all should partake.

Although all partook of the passover lamb;
those who were actually saved by this provision were the "firstborn" (Heb.11:28; 12:22,23; James 1:18).
I know it sounds like Jesus is speaking of the memorial emblems in John 6:53, but he is not.
He is speaking of taking in and believing truth (John 6:63,55,47,48,49,50; 17:3,17). This is symbolic, which plays out in the context.
John 6:54,58 speaks of the same manna as the "hidden manna" of Rev.2:17. (see John 14:21)
This "bread from heaven" is not the simple emblems of literal bread and wine (John 6:31,51) as if eating the literal emblems, magically results in eternal life. These do not result in "eternal life".
John 17:3 makes plain, that such life results from a knowledge of God and Christ (Matt.28:20). Since "bread from heaven" and "knowledge" are both taught by God's Word as the source of eternal life; why not simply accept what so many scriptures confirm....
that taking in the "bread from heaven" is taking in a knowledge of truth (1Cor. 5:8), as delivered by Christ from his Father in heaven. Taking in the bread from heaven, is not eating literal bread.

Christ was the "Word" of God personified. He was truth, without which we cannot be sanctified (John 14:6; 17:17), disciplined (Rev.2:16; Heb.12:6), and made wise for salvation (2Tim. 3:15). This does not happen magically, through the simple act of eating literal bread and wine. When Jesus spoke of life resulting from his flesh and blood, he was not referring to literal emblems.
The manna/bread from heaven, being referred to in John chapter 6, is not the memorial emblems at all, but rather, an illustration about Truth as personified in Christ.

Although the emblems are also symbolic, they are a different application of the symbolism of bread, in that they were presented as symbols on the last night of Christ's human life. There they represent becoming one with Christ (as a wife) and that blood is one of a covenant with her (Luke 22:20,19; Eph.5:25; Rev.5:9,10).
Please read and ponder all these scriptures.
If you doubt that the same symbols can be used for different meanings, please consider Luke 8:11 (scripture); Matt.13:38 (disciples); John 12:24 (a life to sacrifice).

Returning to the connection between the emblems shared by Jesus' disciples at Passover, and the passover lamb to save the firstborn of Israel in Egypt (Heb.11:28;  1Cor. 5:7; Heb.12:22-23; James 1:18)... The provision of life to those who are not the firstborn from sin and death, is also clearly given within the scriptures (John 13:20; Matt.10:41; 5:14,16; John 7:38; Rev.22:17; Zech.8:23). The anointed branches of the true vine, are the channels of light, life, living waters, and truth (John 15:4,5,8; Matt.7:20; Rom.11:17;  2Cor. 5:20) to those who "come to life" after the firstborn (John 13:20; Matt.10:40-42).

Remember that although many put faith in Christ (John 8:30; 12:11), only the 11 were at this event (Luke 22:14; John 6:70). Of those Chosen Ones (John 6:70; 15:19) to come after the original twelve (Eph.1:4; 2:10,20-22;  1Cor. 12:18,28; Col.2:11; Eph.5:26; James 1:18;  2Thess. 2:13;  2Tim. 1:9; Rev.17:14), ...those had to discern their place in the body of Christ, in order to partake worthily (1Cor. 11:29; 12:18).
If we are not a part of Christ's body (as his one-"flesh" wife Matt.19:6) (really...one spirit wife -  1Cor. 6:17), we do not partake of the symbol of this union and hope (Phil.3:10-11,12-13,14; 2:15; Rom.8:17,9; Gal.2:20; John 17:21). This is the sacred secret of the bond between the chosen firstborn and Christ. This is why this relationship is compared to marriage.
This covenant is not for those who receive life by means of God's chosen priests (Matt.28:19-20; Mal.2:7;  1Cor. 4:1; Rev.22:17). The "children" to follow the firstborn "mother", receive life through a further provision, an eternal covenant to come during the kingdom of these sealed kings. (Rev.21:2-5; 22:1,2; Rom.8:19; Gal.3:26,29; John 5:29; Mal.3:18)

Remember too, that Jesus was speaking to Jews already in covenant with God (Matt.15:24; 10:6). If these accepted the teachings of Jesus Christ, they would have a part of the New Covenant, which "Old Covenant" was "near to passing away" and being replaced through Christ (Heb.8:7,8,6,13; Matt.5:17). As physical descendants of Abraham, the Jews were first to be offered the inheritance of the kingdom, but this preference would not last (Heb.8:13; Acts 13:44,45,46; Luke 24:47; Rom.11:19; John 15:2; Matt.21:43). God could raise up sons of Abraham from even Gentiles (Luke 3:8; Rom.2:28,29; Gal.3:14,28,29; Matt.21:43; Acts 10:34,35; 15:8,9,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19; Gen.17:3,4,5).
The point is, those to whom Jesus spoke at John 6:53 were those Jews, still in covenant, and still eligible for the kingdom inheritance. That door is not open to all today. Not all are in the "Law" covenant, which covenant has now been done away with, replaced by one with those specifically chosen by God and Christ from all nations, who now become spiritual Jews (Jer.31:33; Acts 15:14; Isa.43:21;  1Pet.2:9; Rev.5:9,10). The promises to Abraham are not by means of the Law Covenant with the Jews. They were to Abraham, and to his seed of "many nations" (Gen.17:4,7).
As we read at Gal.3:17,18:
"What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years (AC) later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise."

Abraham's seed are the same spiritual "Jews" being spoken of in the symbolic book of Revelation (Rev.7:4; 21:14).
These are the same 144000 seen on "Mt. Zion" (Rev.14:1) and are equated in scripture with New Jerusalem (Isa.2:3; Heb.12:22; Rev.21:2).

Memorial 2020 -- April 5, after sundown

Commemoration of the Lord's Memorial, is rightly held on Nisan 13. For those of you who did not realize that Jesus held the occasion and died, on Nisan 13, you can research that proof in the scriptures, by using the search box on this Blog Main Page.
Mark 14:12; 15:42-43; John19:14,31,42
While the Passover lambs were being sacrificed for the sundown/Sabbath to come, Jesus was also dying on his torture stake (Luke 22:7; John1:29; 1Cor.5:7; Isa.53:7; John19:9). That was the afternoon following the memorial [and the same Jewish day (sundown to sundown) as the Memorial / Day of Preparation / first day of the week of Unfermented Cakes - first day of Passover Week (Luke22:1,8,13-15,19,29; Rev.5:9-10; Mark14:12; 15:42-43)]. (Mark14:12; 15:42-43; John19:14,31,42)
Jesus was buried in a tomb, before the Passover Sabbath (Nisan 14), even began (John19:31,33).

As far as calculating when Nisan 13 takes place during this year,
I will review with you, the procedure as follows...

The way in which Nisan is calculated, is to find out when the Spring Equinox occurs.
For this year (2020), it was Thursday March 19 at 11:49 p.m..
Then go to the schedule of the new moon for each month in your area,
(Google search)
and find the new moon that occurred BEFORE the Spring Equinox.
For 2020, that would be Feb.23 at 10:32 a.m.. The remainder of that day (10:32am - sunset) belongs to the previous month.
This means that the last month of the Jewish year, starts at sunset on Feb.23rd.
That new moon, is the start of the last month of the Jewish calendar which Jesus observed.
Then find the next new moon.
In 2020, the next new moon starts March 24, at 5:28 a.m..
Since the Jewish day runs from sundown to sundown; 5:28 a.m. is between the sundowns.
Sundown March 23 to 5:28 am, belongs to the previous month. The new sundown of the new moon/month, will not occur until sundown March 24.
If the new moon occurs at an hour, after the sun has already set, then that 24 hour period (sunset to sunset) is still the last day of the last month. The fresh day, would start the following sunset.

For 2020, a fresh day for the new month, does not begin until sundown on March 24.
Nisan 1, runs from sundown March 24 to sundown March 25. Nisan 2 runs from sundown March 25 to sundown March 26, and so on.
Sundown March 24 starts the first day of the first month (Nisan) of the new Jewish year.
Next, is to count 13 days from the starting evening of Nisan 1.
For my location, that brings the start of Nisan 13, to after sunset, on Sunday April 5, 2020.
This is when I intend to partake. It is up to each individual, to decide what they will choose to do.

If you have received miraculous proof of God's choosing you (Rom.8:16; Eph.4:4) to belong to the Bride of Christ, and wish to partake with us,

Memorial 2021

Memorial 2021 -- Thursday March 25, after Sundown

Commemoration of the Lord's Memorial, is rightly held at the start (sunset) of Nisan 13.
(The Jewish day runs from sunset to sunset)
For those of you who did not realize that Jesus held the occasion and died, on Nisan 13, you can research that proof in the scriptures, by using the search box on this Blog Main Page,
Mark 14:12; 15:42-43; John 19:14,31,42

While the Passover lambs were being sacrificed for the sundown/Sabbath to come, Jesus was also dying on his torture stake
(Luke 22:7; John 1:29;  1Cor. 5:7; John 19:9; Isa.53:7).
That was the afternoon following the memorial [and the same Jewish day (sundown to sundown) as the Memorial / Day of Preparation / first day of the week of Unfermented Cakes - first day of Passover Week
(Luke 22:1,8,13-15,19,29; Rev.5:9-10; Mark 14:12; 15:42-43)].
(Mark 14:12; 15:42-43; John 19:14,31,42)
Jesus was buried in a tomb, before the Passover Sabbath (Nisan 14), even began (John 19:31,33).

As far as calculating when Nisan 13 takes place during this year,
I will review with you, the procedure as follows...

The way in which Nisan is calculated, is to find out when the Spring Equinox occurs.
I will calculate it for my area, but the calculation will translate around the globe.

For this year (2021), the Spring Equinox is Saturday, March 20 at 5:37 a.m..
Then go to the schedule of the new moon for each month in your area,
(Google search)
and find the new moon that occurred BEFORE the Spring Equinox.
For 2021, that would be March 13 at 5:23 a.m.. The remainder of that day (5:23 am - sunset) belongs to the previous month.
[If the new moon occurs at an hour, after the sun has already set, then that 24 hour period (sunset to sunset) is still the last day of the last month. The fresh day, would start the following sunset... the first sunset after the New Moon has occurred.]

If there are more than 15 days between the previous new moon and the equinox, that new moon is considered the start of the last month of the year. Nisan would not begin, until the following new moon, which would occur after the equinox.
If there are less than 15 days between the previous new moon and the equinox,
then the sunset following that new moon, is the start of Nisan 1.
March 13th is only 7 days prior to the equinox, so March 13 (after sunset) is the start of Nisan. Sundown on March 13, starts the first day of the first month (Nisan 1) of the new Jewish year.
Next, is to count 13 days from the starting evening of Nisan 1.
For my location, that brings the start of Nisan 13, to the sunset of Thursday March 25, 2021.
This is when I intend to partake.
It is up to each individual, to decide what they will choose to do.
Nisan 1, runs from sunset on March 13 to sunset on March 14. Nisan 2 runs from sunset on March 14, to sunset March 15, and so on...(N3/ssM15),(N4/ssM16),(N5/ssM17),(N6/ssM18),(N7/ssM19),(N8/ssM20),(N9/ssM21),(N10/ssM22),(N11/ssM23),N12/ssM24),(N13/ssM25)

If you have received miraculous, scriptural proof of God's choosing you (Rom.8:16; Eph.4:4;  1Cor. 11:28-29) to belong to the Bride of Christ, and wish to partake with us (1Cor. 11:33),
please contact me using the contact form in the right side column of this Main Page.

Memorial or Marriage Feast ?

I received a letter containing various questions.
My response will follow after the letter.

LETTER RECEIVED AND QUESTIONS:

I have only recently stumbled upon your blog via an individual who made a comment on a Youtube video regarding JWs.  I was raised as a JW, experiencing a very depressing and emotionally abusive childhood.  After I married and when my two children were in their teens, I left the Watchtower in 2004, not disfellowshipped nor disassociated myself, just faded away…being very depressed and anxious all my life, and simply exhausted.  It took many, many years to clear my head.  I had always known in my heart that God could not treat his people in the manner in which Watchtower had treated their members – to me, it was not loving, and demanded works (field service time) and blind obedience to man to gain God’s acceptance.  I loved Jesus, always talked about him with others yet in the light of how I was raised as a JW.  But, reflecting on his love for those who professed faith in him, could not reconcile how to love him since the “governing body” has always stressed not giving him too much attention.  Last year, after my mother was trying to tell me to “come back (to the organization)” I flatly told her I am not because “no man is coming in between me and my God and his son Jesus.”  She was at a loss for words.  My mother became a JW in 1970 right before I was born, and is heavily indoctrinated still.  I feel much more at peace than I ever have, and at this point, only feel sorry for my mother who has been blinded by teachings of man.

While I have been focusing for many years on just talking to others informally about the love Jesus has for us, It has recently bothered me that I cannot elaborate further other than his loving acts.  More spiritual meat is what I’ve been hungering.  Lately, I’ve made concerted effort for better understanding.  Many months ago, I began watching John Cedars (Lloyd Evans) videos that sounded very objective and to me, didn’t shout “apostate.”  After some time, I looked for more spiritual food as Lloyd is an athiest (he doesn’t promote that belief to his listeners, but he doesn’t offer insight into the bible).  I stumbled upon Eric Wilson, a former JW who also goes under the pseudonym, Meleti Vivlon.  His explanations were logical and sounded inspired by holy spirit, letting the scriptures interpret themselves, clarifying scripture instead of what I was accustomed to from Watchtower who cherry picked scriptures to align with their doctrine.  He has not made a video on details of Revelation.

I do not recall which of the Youtube videos I was reading comments under, but under one a commenter gave the link to one of your blogs.  Over this past week, I have read and reread your explanation about the book of Revelation. I was stopped in my tracks. I knew that YHWH has lifted the scales from my eyes. Everything makes sense more than all the “adjustments” the Watchtower has made on scripture.  Excuse me as I try to address God by his Hebrew name now, as I don’t want to be associated with JWs who have smeared his reputation now with their history of lies and current child abuse scandals that will not be lost in history.

So, to cut a long story short, I want to honor my savior this memorial (I have gone every year to the JW memorial despite my fading away so that I can show my respect), but am unclear how to go about that.  My conscience now that I have been enlightened, is preventing me from feeling comfortable in attending the memorial at a kingdom hall, or celebrate it in the way that JWs do.  Eric Wilson explained that Jesus commanded all his followers to partake of the wine and bread however, I must admit, I am unsure whether that is appropriate for me.  I only know I have love for Jesus and want to honor him the way he directed, leaving it in his hands what he has in mind for me.  Essentially, I cannot say I am “anointed” in the sense that the Watchtower teaches.

I look forward to hearing from you, and whatever guidance you might be able to give according to scripture.  I certainly would not be offended if you are not comfortable with my attempt to join on Skype, but I only ask that the spirit guides you in giving me direction on how to commemorate his death appropriately.

By the way, I didn’t know you were on Facebook, but I’ve been so busy this past month listening to multiple sources via Youtube and Podcasts (Eric Wilson, Watchtower Examination, EXJW Analyzer) and now reading your blog that I haven’t spent much time on that platform to even think of looking for you there.

Thank you kindly!

MY REPLY:
I will try to respond adequately to all the issues you bring up, and will include links to material I have already written in order to provide you with scriptures that will be relevant. Please take your time with what I write below, and be sure to consider the scriptures cited. I suggest examining this in sections, so that the scriptures can be thoroughly considered.

I am sorry to learn of your trying childhood. I don't know what it's like being raised as a JW (other than the life which my own children had), but I too had a childhood tainted by abuse and neglect. My father was agnostic, and my mother, Catholic. I went to Catholic school straight through to high school. That too was very restrictive and abusive. At home, there was physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. So this sad circumstance, is not unique to JWs.
I feel that my connection to Jesus and consistent prayer, got me through it. It is good to learn that the spiritual abuse we suffered under the arm of the WT, did not cause you to lose faith in God and Christ. So many end up faithless. It makes no sense to blame God for the evil men do, especially when Jesus warned us of this very scenario.

I can relate to your fading due to sheer exhaustion and the sense of futility of the grinding routine. We were so brainwashed into thinking that it is the path to eternal life, when it is just a diversion, to keep us preoccupied with empty provisions and a sense that we can never really measure up. When we are made to feel so inferior, the natural conclusion is that those who lay out the routine, must be better than us. Why then, would we ever examine them in a critical light? The psychology of this tactic, is powerfully effective.

Yes, the contrast between the love of God and the image of Him which the "Watchtower" portrays, is huge. That image as a merciless destroyer of life is crucial to their doctrine about Armageddon, their spiritual superiority and condition of privileged peace and security with God, and their interpretation of Revelation. All three concepts, must rest upon the idea that God and Jesus are the merciless Destroyers.
The organization would have no basis to exist, unless Revelation is interpreted the JW way. If you progress in your studies at the Blog; you will see that I believe that Satan supports the assertions of the WT, and uses his authority over the world, to give their doctrine and false interpretation of prophecy, credence. In other words, WT needs a whipping boy. They need the existence of false religion in order to misapply the identity of the harlots. They need the League of Nations in order to misapply the identity of the Beast... and the U.N., in order to misapply the identity of the Image of the Beast.
If it seems too fantastic an idea to think that Satan would be involved in the formation and substantiation of Watchtower doctrine; we need to reconsider that since his release from the abyss, his objective is to take captive into deception (2Cor. 11:3-4; Rev.2:20; Col.2:8; Rev.13:10; Luke 21:24; Rev.11:2; Dan.8:10-12), the remaining ones of the woman's seed with which he is at spiritual war (Rev.12:15,17) (https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2012/12/earth-swallows-satans-river-rev1216.html).
His very existence and continuation of authority and power over the world (1John 5:19;  2Cor. 4:4; Mark 4:12;  2Thess. 2:9-12; Rev.12:9; 20:7-8; etc.),
....depends upon his ability to delay the Kingdom of God, and it's members becoming equipped to battle against him (2Cor. 10:3-5; Rev.16:13-16; 17:14; 19:14; Eph.2:6; 6:12).
You will be able to learn about the details of all this, along with the scriptures, if you persist in your learning through the Blog.

Veiled JWs cannot imagine a relationship with God without the GB, WT, and "elders". The scriptures that refer to God's spiritual Temple and it's priesthood, are misapplied to the organization. Jesus did say, that he appoints a steward over his household to provide the right food at the right time (Luke 12:42-44).
What JWs forget, is that there is an option for a wicked steward to also exist, and that Jesus opens his depiction of both sorts, in question form (Luke 12:42;  1John 4:1).
We are being directed to question who fulfills that identity, rather then letting others tell us who they are (Matt.24:23-26;  2Thess. 2:9-12;  1Tim. 4:1; Rev.16:14-15).
So there is a place for the priests of God, to provide spiritual sustenance to God's household (1Pet. 2:5; Mal.2:7;  1Cor. 4:1).
They can either be faithful, or not. But Jesus has given ample warning about those who are proving unfaithful. JWs fail to recognize that identity, because they have been mislead into believing that it is impossible for their own leadership to fulfill it. They have fallen for the powerful deception, that the WT is God's spirit-directed organization and earthly extension of Mount Zion... rather than the anointed priesthood
(https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2013/02/YHVHs-genuine-mountain.html).
We are seeing the fulfillment of, "the disgusting thing standing in the holy place" (Matt.24:15-16; Mark 13:14).
Jesus said, "let the reader use discernment". Yes, we need spiritual perception, in order to recognize this "abomination of desolation".

Those who I gather with, have also abandoned the name "Jehovah". It was never God's name, which is admitted by the WT. Our reasons for not using that name will become clear to you, if you read the blog posts about that. Here is one to start, if you are interested:

Your next mention, is concerning the memorial. You ask for my perspective on how you might honor the occasion. You say that Eric Wilson teaches, that Jesus commanded all his followers to partake. I believe that this is a great error, and I will partially explain now, why.
Only out of context from the rest of the scriptures, can one form that conclusion. If we only look at Jesus saying, "Take... eat... this means my body", would we assume that he is telling all his followers to partake.
I would like to use an illustration at this point.
If we had a recording of a couple having dinner on the night that the man made a marriage proposal, and heard the bridegroom say... "Please marry me"... would we assume that he loved all who listened to the tape and that he was asking all hearers, to marry him?
No, of course not.
We have to look at who Jesus was speaking to that night, and who was present to hear him say his original words. Were all his disciples, there at the first Memorial? No, they were not. Jesus had multitudes that were following him. Upon his entrance into Jerusalem that week, a large crowd in Jerusalem was hailing him as their king (Matt.21:1-4,5-9; John 12:12-15,16-19; 12:42).

The only ones that were at this intimate event, were the ones chosen by Jesus (John 6:70; 13:1,18; Mark 14:16-18; Matt.26:20)
Here is a link that will help you to learn more about who should partake:
It contains other links for more information. There are dozens of posts on the subject.

If Jesus meant to make the marriage covenant with all his disciples (Heb.12:24; Luke 22:20; Eph.5:25; Rev.21:2), and have them share in the emblems of the promise, he certainly could have included them (Mark 6:34-37,38-41,42-44).
He didn't.
Eph.5 reads
"23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless."

(Col.1:22;  2Pet. 3:14; Rev.21:2; 19:7-8; 14:5; 6:9-11; 19:8)

Mr. Wilson may believe that his conclusion about who should partake is soundly based upon scripture, but it is out of context. There is a bride of promise belonging to Jesus. That Bride is not the only identity that can hear, obey, and gain life through Jesus Christ (Rev.22:17).
The difference, is the means by which life is gained. Children receive life from their parents. To get that life, they do not need to be, the eternal parents themselves (Isa.9:6; Gal.4:26; Rev.21:2-3).
Again, if you keep learning, a full Biblical understanding of these things will be gained by you.
As you say, "being anointed, in the sense that the WT teaches"... is not what matters, because being anointed in the sense that the WT teaches, is error.  The WT understands that calling, as being a desire to go to heaven. That is so wrong, from many angles.
What matters, is being anointed in the sense that scriptures teach.

For what purpose, did God cause anointing to occur?
Was it not to designate to his people and to the one being anointed, who among his nation he chose to be a priest or king? Those who received such an anointing, were well aware of the event that installed them to fulfill their God-assigned position.
Experiencing that powerful spirit testimony of God's installation, has nothing to do with the future one desires for themselves, which belief is based upon the ignorant doctrine that the heirs of the earth, are banned from it.
Neither is the genuine anointing concluded upon a baseless assumption, that we are all priests and kings, all anointed, and all partakers.

The WT depicts the heirs with Christ, as legless, bearded, Caucasian, male clones, all sitting on literal thrones above the clouds, consigned forever to observe from above, others enjoying the earth.
The Bible makes clear that this depiction, is false
(Rev.5:10; Rev.21:2; Dan.2:35; Zech.12:3; Isa.2:1-3; Ps.45:16; Gen.28:13-14; Gal.3:29)(Gen.28:14; Rev.22:2)[Zech.12:3; Rev.11:5; 20:9 (Eph.2:6; Rev.12:5; 2:26-27)].
(Heb.1:6; Acts 3:21)

So then... how do those not anointed "commemorate his death appropriately"?
I will give you a link to a similar question that was asked.
But I will also say some important things, not mentioned at that link...
At Matthew chapter 22, verses 1-10, Jesus used an illustration of a marriage feast.
Click here to read in new window:

Revelation speaks of this feast, and those who are invited to it (Rev.19:7,9)
Note that at Matt.22:9... those invited are those "leaving the city" (Rev.17:18; 18:4).

Those who disobey Jesus command to flee the city....
 (Luke 21:21-22; 17:26-29,30-33,34-37; Rev.11:8,3; 12:6,14; Luke17:37)
          (See link: Eagles or Vultures)
.....after the "abomination of desolation" is present, are not invited to that marriage feast.

So what is my point, regarding respect for the Memorial promise and covenant, which Jesus made that night to those he had chosen?

If we really respect that relationship between Jesus and his bride... would we not want to attend the wedding reception, when that promise is finally being realized?
Clearly, those invited and who choose to attend, are not the Bride herself. Yet at that reception, the Bride herself and those who recognize her, are offering what is provided at that feast (Rev.22:17; Matt.22:9-10; 19:9)

Are exiles, now leaving an unfaithful Jerusalem, because they are able to discern the "abomination of desolation"... a "disgusting thing, standing where it does not belong"? Are there those who are capable of hearing what the spirit says to the congregations, having been given the wings of eagles, to feed on those who have been slain? Are those perceptive ones, inviting others to what they have found?
If you now believe or learn that to be so, I hope you will take a hard look at the scriptures which indicate, which supper All may now be participating in...
the promise Jesus made to his bride, or,
the invitation being given, to enjoy the provisions of his promise to her, being fulfilled.

ADDITION:

What is the difference between the Memorial supper, and the marriage feast of the Lamb?

In the memorial, Jesus leaves his betrothed bride, but promises to return (John 16:5-6; 14:3).
He tells her what to do while he is gone (Mark 13:34).
When he returns, he then marries the COMPLETED Bride... all those who have been faithful with their assignment, sealed as slaves of God through their death for truth, just as Jesus was (Eph.5:25-27; Rev.21:2,9-11,27; 19:7-8; 6:9-11;  2Pet. 3:14; Rom.6:5; Mark 8:35;  2Cor. 5:15; Rev.6:11).
When all the faithful have been gathered in (Matt.3:12; John 18:9)...
...the Father provides a celebratory feast (Matt.22:2,4; Rev.19:9; Isa.25:6-8; 55:1-2; Rev.22:17) of spiritual food...
...which is the unfurling of the 7 sealed scroll of Revelation (Dan.7:13; Rev.5:7,9; Rev.20:11-12; 22:16,6; 10:7; John 15:26; 16:13; Mal.3:1; Matt.25:6; Heb.13:13; Matt.25:10; Rev.22:16).
