Which Trumpet?

A Comment which was left:

"Let's read Matthew 24:31. this could be the same as 1 Corinthians 15:51,52. And the anointed will be gathered to Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17"

MY RESPONSE:

If you recheck Rev.9:13,14...
the "Elijah" call to the four angels is not the last seventh trumpet. (It is the sixth.)
Before the faithful are resurrected, they must first be given a witness and a choice to emerge victorious from this great test. They must first choose which side they will take...to which army they will belong.
A better parallel would be Isa.27:13, since the "Two witnesses" are the "capstone" of God's Holy Mount Zion (Zech.4:8,9,10,14), and from the completion of their testimony, that completed mountain becomes an available channel for worship (Isa.2:2,3; 25:6; 66:20; Micah4:1,2,3).
This sixth trumpet call corresponds to Zech.9:14; Ps.18:14; Hab.3:11; and Matt.24:27.
During this period, the battle of Armageddon is still being fought. 1Cor.15:51,52 and 1Thess.4:16, refers to Rev.20:5 and 7:9,10,14,17.
These come to life after Satan's release from the abyss, during Armageddon and the Great Tribulation.

At the seventh trumpet...
The full mysteries/Revelations, of God, are revealed, through which all of His people are judged (Rev.20:12).
Christ then completes the harvest/inspection of invited ones, sealing the last of the faithful...
And the Father is done with His decision (Joel3:12,14; Dan.7:21,22,26,27)
The last Holy Ones come to life, and are then approved as Kingdom heirs. Those who proved faithful from previous centuries, and therefore, were sealed as faithful, can then also receive their reward.

At Matt.24:30,31; The elect are being gathered to the war (Rev.16:12,13,14,15,16; 19:11,14,15,19; Luke11:23),
as they have always been (2Cor.10:3,4,5,6; Gen.3:15; Rev.2:26,27; Luke10:19).
Their armament for the LAST BATTLE ("Armegeddon"), is the testimony of the "two witnesses" (Rev.11:3; 12:6)/"Marriage Feast"(Luke8:18; 12:37; Matt.25:10)...
the opened scroll of Revelation/ and the "sword" protruding from Jesus' mouth. (Rev.19:15,21; 2:26,27,28,29)
This includes the seventh trumpet, which reveals the basis for judgment, as well as make obvious who is in the Lamb's scroll of life, and who isn't. Matt.24:30 corresponds to Rev.11:8,11.

The sixth trumpet is when the 10 virgins have made their choice as to where they will receive "fuel" for their "lamps". Which spiritual dominion will they subject themselves to? We are told that the foolish anointed "buy" their "oil" from those who "sell". This corresponds to the dominion of the Wild Beasts of Rev.13:17,7,8.
The alternate choice is to "go out to meet" Christ (Matt.25:6; Heb.13:13) and derive your light from the "marriage feast" (Matt.25:10; Luke12:37; Rev.2:17; 3:20). We can not derive our teachings from both sources (Matt.25:11,12,13; 1Cor.10:21).
Once we are given this final knowledge, we can not be neutral, but must fight in this battle for truth (Rev.3:2,15,16; Rev.6:9,11; 19:17; 12:11; John15:8; Eph.4:25,14; 2Tim.4:2; Matt.24:14), against the "buying and selling" founded upon Satan's lying demonic doctrines, and his channel of these.....
the false prophet, and the Wild Beast Organization (Rev.16:13,14; 13:4,5,8,11,15,17; 19:20).
("What do 'Buying' and 'Selling' Mean?")
("666")

Each "trumpet" is a distinct announcement/declaration,
and carries with it it's own events.
We must not blur them together, if we desire a sharp image of truth.
Thank you for your comment,

Pearl

  1. I'm sorry but you are incorrect. The gathering of the chosen ones which is described in the three verses Matthew 24:31,1 Corinthians 15:51,52, and 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 are the same event.

The war, or Armageddon, which you state is over by the time 1 Corinthians 15:51,52, and 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 happens, does not take place until all the chosen ones are gathered during the seventh, and last trumpet.

The war of Armageddon occurs during Rev 19:17-21. You are wrong when you say the war is over by the seventh trumpet. How can we know this?

(Revelation 11:15-17) . . .And the seventh angel blew his trumpet. And loud voices occurred in heaven, saying: “The kingdom of the world did become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will rule as king forever and ever.” 16 And the twenty-four elders who were seated before God upon their thrones fell upon their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying: ,“We thank you, Jehovah God, the Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun ruling as king.

Note that Jehovah begins to rule as King AFTER the seventh trumpet. Now note the same event in Rev 19:6

(Revelation 19:6) . . .And I heard what was as a voice of a great crowd and as a sound of many waters and as a sound of heavy thunders. They said: “Praise Jah, YOU people, because Jehovah our God, the Almighty, has begun to rule as king.

Obviously Jehovah doesn't begin ruling as king twice, but rather this is the same event. As you read through chapter 19 it becomes quite clear that the war of Armageddon does not occur until AFTER the seventh trumpet is blown.

It would therefore be more harmonious to believe that these verses Matthew 24:31, 1 Corinthians 15:51,52, and 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 are the same event, compared to what your reasoning has produced.

    1. If you are asserting that Rev.19:1-10 happens BEFORE Rev.19:11-21,
      please consider

Those who ride with Christ (Rev.19:14,8) are not yet done with their "testimony", which they perform while they ride.
Only when the last INDIVIDUAL is done with this testimony, is the kingdom established (Rev.12:10,11).
Vengeance does not take place, until the last of the faithful are "killed" (Rev.6:9,10,11).
After the full number prove faithful to "death", these sealed white-robed ones ride with Christ, taking vengeance in a spiritual sense.
Please give me the scriptures which depict the chosen gathering in unified truth, ....when they are finally rescued from the present "confusion"/Babylon, and gathered for the final battle,
previous to the war and victory.
If you view these visions of John according to physical chronology, you will be prevented from reaching accurate understanding. When John says,"Then I saw", is it exactly that...
then he SEES, not, then it happened. He is relating the sequence of visions,
not the sequence of events as they fulfill these prophecies.
God does not begin ruling as king, until ALL DOMINION AND AUTHORITY is brought to NOTHING,
      by means of Armageddon (1Cor.15:24,25).
Christ began his reign since his faithful sacrifice and resurrection (Col.2:10,15; Eph.1:20; Acts7:55,56; Matt.28:18; Rev.3:21).
He will share that authority with the faithful victors (Rev.2:26,27).
      This happens DURING Armageddon (Rev.19:11,15).

  2. I'm still waiting for your reply to my last post which gave the scriptures you were asking for which depict the chosen in heaven gathered for battle...thanks.

  3. 1Cor.15:24 alone proves that Armageddon occurs before God begins His reign.
Rev.16:13,14,15,16 and Rev.17:14 describe Christ's enemies gathering for the battle. They are not yet brought to nothing.
After Christ and those of heaven bear witness to truth in battle (2Cor.10:4,5; Rev.19:14,8; 6:9,11; 12:10,11), enemies of truth are subdued (Rev.12:7,8,9,10).
The problem here may be that you view Armageddon as human fleshly warfare, and as a means to physically destroy wayward humanity, along with literal damage to the planet. If you view Armageddon according to how the scriptures describe it, this changes our previous WT frame of mind.
Armageddon is the final expression of the enmity between Satan's seed, and the woman's seed (Gen.3:15; Rev.12:17). This is a spiritual battle, between demonic frog-like expressions; and the "sword" of Christ's mouth (Rev.1:16; Heb.4:12; Eph.6:17; Rev.2:16; Isa.49:2; 11:4). This battle is what causes the scrolls to "open" (Rev.20:12; Luke24:32) in response to Satan's mouth opening (Rev.12:15; 2:24; 16:13). Only after the enemies of truth and life are judged by Christ and his faithful brothers (Ps.110:1,2,3; Rev.2:26,27; Luke10:19), will all Christ's enemies be subdued, and God will begin his reign (1Cor.15:24).

  4. New wine must be put in a new wineskin. Old WT teachings on Armageddon cannot hold the new truths now being "trumpeted".
You yourself point to Rev.11:15,16,17; 19:6.
God's kingdom begins after all Christ's enemies are subdued (1Cor.15:24), the final means of that being, Armageddon.
Christ's brothers cannot battle against Demonic deception, without the trumpets call to battle, and the opening of the seven seals which contain the truths they require to counter Satan's messengers of deception and death. The WT also teaches that Rev.20:7,8,9 is NOT Armageddon. This is not correct either.
