How does the Light get Brighter?

Prov.4:18 reads; "The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day."
Note that the guidance/light, given to the spiritual path of the righteous one, is compared to the morning sun. If we observe a sunrise in the morning, we note that the dark starry sky gradually gives way to the arrival of the sun. The darkness gradually fades (1Pet.2:9; Rom.13:12) and a previously indiscernible landscape, gradually comes into view as the sun rises higher in the sky.
Dan.11:35 helps us to see, that the wise (Dan.12:3,10) who were formerly stumbled (Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8), will be progressively refined and purified, "right up until the end". This means that those faithfully testifying to Christ in the time of the end, would display a growth in the light of divine knowledge, and a progressive cleansing from the dark, false doctrine which previously held them enslaved as mental captives
(Eph.5:25-26,27; John 15:3; 17:17;  1Thess.5:23;  1Pet.1:7;  2Pet.1:10; 3:14; Rom.2:5-6,7-8; Phil.2:15; Dan.12:3).
In contrast, Dan.11:27 depicts the unfaithful, wicked stewards and false prophets, as continuing to cling to and teach, their demonic deceptions (Isa.28:15;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15).
The end "will still arrive at the time appointed" by God, for both sorts (Dan.8:19; 11:35,27; Hab.2:3; Heb.10:36-37; Luke 12:43).

Prov.4:18 tells us that spiritual light increases at the arrival of morning... "shining ever brighter until the full light of day".
Other scriptures speak of this development:
2Pet.1:19- "We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts."
Peter tells us that the writings of the prophets are a guide to God's people during the "night" of Jesus' absence
(John 12:35-36; Rev.22:5,16; 2:28; Acts 3:20-21; Mal.4:2; 3:1; Matt.17:11),
UNTIL that "day dawns, and the morning star, rises in your hearts".

We know that Jesus claims to be that bright "morning star". He reveals himself, to the proven faithful (John 14:21; Rev.2:28; 3:20; Eph.5:29).
Rev.22:16- “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
There we learn that the morning star...
(sun of dawn -Hosea 6:2-3; Rev.11:11-12; Luke 1:78)
... will send his angel/messenger, to give a testimony of the light of Christ, in the "morning" of his arrival
(Mal.3:1; Rev.22:16; 1:1; John 16:13-14; 13:20).
Of that messenger, Isa.60 reads;
"Arise oh woman, shine your light, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn."

Eph.5:13- "But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself. 14 So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, **rise up from the dead**, and Christ will shine on you.”

Rev.11:11- But after the three and a half days **the breath of life from God entered them**, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them."
(breath: John 20:22)
How would the spiritual light of the morning star, be offered to all through Jesus' messenger?
"The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple." (Ps.119:130)

There we learn, that it is by the "unfolding"/unfurling/unrolled, opening of God's Words, by which the messenger offers the light of understanding from Christ.
Rev.20:12 speaks of this opening of God's Words...
"12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and **books were opened.** Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books."
Dan.12:4,9-10,3 also speaks of when this will happen...
"4 But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge. 9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. 3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever."

"In the time of the end" the "wise" will have the Word of God, opened to them (Luke 24:32,45; Rev.20:12; 22:10), and they will shine the light the morning star has given them, so that they can be the messengers of Christ in the morning, previous to when he arrives.
Of them, Jesus says;
"26 To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— 27 that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’—just as I have received authority from my Father. 28 I will also give that one the morning star. 29 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
Jesus gives the morning star... the rising sun, to the one found faithfully doing the will of Jesus, and victorious as a conqueror of the world. As we learned, that rising sun, is Jesus himself. He gives himself and all the light he gloriously shines upon his return, to his Bride (John 14:21; Isa.60:1). When this comes to pass, Jesus has finished his course of work in this world of Satan, and God's will during the dominion of that world, is completed.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
       (Phil.2:15; Isa.43:21;  1Pet.2:9) (see link: sun-moon-and-stars.html )
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple." (Ps.19)
  Ps.119:130 "The unfolding of your words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple."

Rev.22:17- "The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life."
Matt.22: - CSB/HCSB- “8 Then he told his slaves, ‘The banquet is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Therefore go to where the roads exit the city and invite everyone you find to the banquet.’ 10 So those slaves went out on the roads and gathered everyone they found, both evil and good. The wedding banquet was filled with guests."

Fulfillment of Prophecy

QUESTION: "Do you have any links to your articles that prove the GB is the beast of Revelation?"

MY REPLY:
Thank you for writing to me.  Scripture is supreme within the mind of the faithful. It is there where we must seek any proof for the realities of prophecy fulfilled. SInce the proofs are written in symbolic terms, we must be the sort that are willing to unlock such symbolism with the keys of scripture. Therefore, "proof" is subjective. It is given to those who have faith in scripture. It is obscure and nonexistent to those without such faith. You do not say if you seek the proof for yourself, or for others. Often, we of faith become convinced by what God supplies. It is rare that what convinces the faithful, will also convince the person without faith. So although the links I will provide to you, may convince you; Do not be disappointed if the language of truth is incomprehensible to others, and the information provided is not regarded as proof to such ones.
Reasonably, to prove that one of Revelation's identities is a match to one that now exists... we would need to see a direct and identifiable correlation between the description of the symbolic identity (interpreted by scripture), and the traits and actions of the present identity, drawing a perfect match. Do you understand and agree with this strategy?

FIrstly, I will point out that there are three beasts, just in Revelation chapter 13 alone (there are more beasts in other chapters of Revelation). The first is the dragon/Satan.
One ten-horned Beast, ascends from the deep/"sea"/abyss (Rev.13:1; 11:7) at Satan's bidding; another two-horned Beast, is from the earth (Rev.13:11). When we learn from all the various places within Revelation (and elsewhere in scripture) that describe the alliance between the "sea" and "earth" beasts, we are able to compile a long list of traits and actions being ascribed to each of the beasts, as well as their interactions.

God has decided to give all these faceted descriptions in layers of spiritual language (1Cor.2:9-10,11-12,13-14; Matt.13:10-11,13,34-35; Rev.19:10;  1Cor.14:32-33; Rev.22:6), meant to be combined, clarified, and their significance unveiled, at the end of the age (Dan.12:4; Rev.22:10; 20:12).
Just as Jesus described the singular "kingdom of the heavens" in so many various parables (see Matthew chapters 13 & 25).....

--
(https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=matt25&version=NKJV)

.....there are repeated and various, prophetic descriptions, of the final "beasts" and their interaction. What is lovely, is that when the many details are properly assembled, the resulting description is so detailed and clear, that its' fulfillment and application, becomes undeniable to any reasonable mind.

One such interaction between the beasts, is described in this link:
http://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2018/02/who-is-false-prophet-who-gives-breath.html
Here are a number of other article posts that describe the alliance:

...and here is another collection of posts, describing another facet of their alliance:
Here is yet another collection of articles describing this same alliance:

Your search for proof about the accurate application and fulfillment of prophecy, can be compared to a search for a missing person:
Just as we might start with a description...
The person has brown hair... Well, that would not help much. There is very little in that part of the description that will aid in the precise identification, no matter how deeply we go into the detail of the hair... it's texture, thickness, style, etc.
We next need to add a different facet of the person's appearance (a whole new parable)... perhaps eye color.
Even this is not enough. We should add height and weight, skin color, tatoos, scars, birthmarks, clothing, shoes, and last place the person was seen. The more traits we can add, the greater the clarity of that person's individuality and distinction from other persons.
It is the same with the identification of the identities of prophecy. All the descriptions/parables must be recognized for what they provide and contribute to the whole... and then those traits, combined. This is no brief, simple or easy matter. Jesus said that if we want the very knowledge of God, we need not only to keep asking and knocking... we need to keep seeking and digging
(Matt.7:7; 21:22; Luke 11:9-10,11-12,13; Prov.2:2-5; Col.1:10; Matt.13:44-45,46; Deut.4:29; Jer.29:11-12,13).
That requires, work. But if that sincere effort is supplied, the man of God will receive that for which he is asking. -- and this fact reinforces my past point... that those without faith do not ask, beg, dig, or find. That loss of faith and humility, can even develop in an appointed steward (Luke 12:42; 16:3).

As we might compare a description of a missing person, to the individual that stands before us... the clarity comes to us, as we apply every detail of the extensive description, to them. If they fulfill every minuscule detail of every part of the description with no deviation, we are assured that we have identified, the correct person.

Whose slave, are you?

The Bible has a symbol, for our settled belief system which directs our thinking and actions. When that faith is sourced in scripture, it is symbolically described by God, at Deut.11:18 --
"Establish these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them *as symbols* on your *hands and bind them on your *foreheads."
From this we see that our symbolic hands (deeds/actions) and forehead (beliefs/faith) would be symbolically marked, by the words and laws of God.
This lesson helps us to understand the meaning of Rev.13:16 --
"It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads".
From this, we learn that those marked by the Beast, are guided by the Beast in their settled belief system, and the mark of the Beast symbolizes it's control over thought/faith, and action. We know that the laws and words of the Beast, are represented by 666. Knowing what the symbolic numeral "6" means, gives us understanding of what the slaves of the beast, actually believe.
https://pearl-666.blogspot.com
Jesus said;
"No one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. 38 No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. 39 And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’” (Luke 5:37-39)
Wine, is the product of a grapevine. Jesus compared himself to a vine, and the recipients of spirit and truth from him, to branches (John15:4-5). He compared the fruit produced, as teachings from those branches, offered to others for consumption (John15:8; Matt.7:20; Luke 6:43-45; Rev.22:1-4) (https://pearl-finetrees.blogspot.com)
According to Luke 5:37-39; When people grow accustomed to certain teachings, they don't want something new. They are unable to accept new ideas, unless they are willing to let go of the old way of thinking. -- If our minds and hearts are branded as slaves to the laws of the beast, and we are directed by "666" in our faith and actions, we are slaves to demonic lies (666) through the false prophet and it's beast (1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-16; 17:14), rather than the truths of God. The false prophet will give the Beast an image of being breath/spirit-directed (John20:22; Rev.13:15), so that it can seem justified in "killing" those who refuse to be enslaved (Rev.19:20; 13:11,15; John16:2; Rev.13:7,10; Col.2:8; Luke21:24) (http://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2018/02/who-is-false-prophet-who-gives-breath.html) (https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/search?q=tails+stingers+scorpions) (https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-greatest-tribulation-why.html).
Those intimidated, may prove unable and unwilling, to accept the opening of the scroll, in the time of the end (Rev.5:1-2,6-7; 22:6; 10:1-3,7; 20:12; Dan.12:4,9-10,3; 1Cor.13:9-10; John16:12,7-8,13; Rev.1:1) (https://pearl-newscrolls.blogspot.com) --- (http://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2013/05/mark-of-beast.html) --- (http://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2012/12/some-have-told-me-that-buying-and.html).

The Return of Christ

QUESTIONS I RECEIVED:
Regarding Matt 24. ---What were the disciples actually asking Jesus? What will be the sign of your presence and the conclusion of the system of things? I understand that the sign comes first in the way of birth pangs, before God’s Kingdoms arrival, but in what way is that Christ’s presence? He has already ruled for the symbolic 1000 years from the first century.....
                (LINK) [for more-(LINK)],
.....just a bit unsure what his presence means in our time, with the GT and Armageddon now in play.

MY REPLY:

We know that the apostles did expect a return of Christ, after his ascension (see John 21:14,22; Matt.10:23; 24:30; Rev.22:7,12).
As you can see from the foregoing scriptures; Jesus pointed to a return that would occur *after* the fall of Jerusalem in 70 CE, because Revelation was written after that, and the return he spoke of, contained features that did not occur in the first century.
In the mind of the apostles, the "end of the system" applied to the Jewish system and covenant with God (Acts 1:6,7; Luke 19:11; John 16:12,13; Mark 9:12).
They were not wrong, because as Matthew chapter 24 begins, it is a continuation from the end of Matt.23, where the apostles are talking to Jesus about the fall of the Jewish Temple. But by Jesus response, we see that he was describing the pattern to expect, when both God's covenants are fulfilled, and end. At the conclusion of them, there will always be those who were faithful, and those who were not (and the interaction between those two groups). They did not fully understand that there would also be an end to the New Covenant, because covenants are also called promises, and God eventually fulfills His promise.
http://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2013/01/in-response-to-jan.html
Jesus not only answered the apostles question about the imminent end of the Old Covenant, but included the signs regarding the end of the New.
The sign of Jesus' presence has many components. But Jesus told us, not to expect the signs to be fulfilled in an obvious way (Luke 17:20)
The very term, "sign of your presence", means, that it will occur through signs and symbols, not seen in a physical way... but perceived and recognized by means of insight, discernment, and spirit of prophecy... leading to understanding for those who listen
(Mark 13:14; Rev.1:1; Eph.3:3-5; Amos 3:7;  1Cor.14:32; Rev.22:6,7;  1Cor.2:10,11,12,13,14).
(please click on the footnote for "signified it" in Rev.1:1 according to the HCSB translation. You will see that the original Greek said, "made it known through symbols") --- (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Rev.1%3A1&version=HCSB)
So at the end of the New Covenant, the "sign of your presence" will occur in symbolic ways, made discernible through the spirit of Christ's angel/prophet, whom he would send to reveal his message.
-- But what did Jesus mean, by "presence"? The word means, "to be alongside", as in a yoke (Matt.11:28,29,30). There is much that could be said about what this means.... even about how the Wild Beast is said to be "alongside" those who are working with it, but do not recognize what actually is under the yoke of slavery, with them (Greek of Rev.17:8)(2Cor.6:14)... directing them in the demonic persecution of God's anointed.
Now to understand the connection between Jesus' presence, and the birth pangs (Great Tribulation and the Battle to result)....
There is much information to explain this. I am going to simplify it for the sake of this comment. But each point I make, should be researched and proven through the scriptures by an article on each subject. That first being understood, I will address that part of your question:...
1. Wormwood falls from heaven through a compromise of truth. When this false prophet chooses to teach lies, that is represented by opening Satan's abyss.
2. When Wormwood opens the abyss, Satan escapes his captivity, and the bonds previously imposed upon him by Christ, are loosed. Satan is then able, to mislead the body of Christ. They become captives of the abyss (Rev.13:7,10; Luke 21:24; Col.2:8), through trampling by it's agents.
3. Christ is appointed as head of the body, and charged by God to protect it, feed it, and defend it, as a husband does his wife. He assured us, that "I have not lost a single one which the Father has given me"
(John 17:12; Luke 15:4; Ps.30:1,2,3,4,5; 40:1,2,3,4).
Dan.12:1 describes it this way;
"At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered."
--
Here you can see the connection between the unprecedented "time of distress" (Great Tribulation), and the "standing up" of "Michael" (the presence of Christ) to rescue "the remaining ones of the woman's seed".
("I protected them by that name you gave me"
-John 17:12; Rev.3:12; 12:7; 20:7,8,9; 17:14; 12:15,17; Matt.24:7,8)
Dan.12:3,4,9,10 and Rev.20:12, describes the result:
Can you see that "knowledge will increase", and "scrolls are opened"? This is the same event (Luke 24:45).
This increase of knowledge of the truth (opening scrolls, including the scroll of Revelation)... is actually the cause of Armageddon. When God's priests gain the dawn through the standing up of Jesus to defend against Satan's river of lies... the faithful stand up to the deception, and in imitation of Jesus, defend the truths they are receiving
(2Cor.10:3,4,5; Rev.20:7,8; 16:13,14,15,16; 17:14; 19:11,14,8; Jude 1:14; Matt.26:64; Heb.12:1).
Mark 9:11-12 reads;
"11 And they asked Jesus, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” 12 He replied, “Elijah does indeed come first, and he restores all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected?"
https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-sign-of-son-of-man.html
When Jesus "returns" and is *again present with his priesthood* (sanctuary restored/priests working again under the high priest); those final priests must battle against wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places (Eph.6:10,11,12).
Naturally, this will not occur under pleasant circumstances... because Satan is unleashed, along with all his powerful hoards of both spirit and flesh. The result of this demonic attack, becomes manifest and discernible, by those able to recognize the "birth pangs" of the Great Tribulation...
...and the spiritual symbolism as the means by which, those signs are truly manifested among the anointed (Rev.12:2; John 16:19,20,21,22,23; Dan.9:24,25,26,27)

Ten Horns / Seven Heads

The Bible tells us the meaning of all it's symbolism. We just need God's spirit to guide us through what it tells us. The ten horns are explained, at Rev.17:12 and Rev.5:10 ---
12 “The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast."
Can you see from this, that horns are kings?
Kings, can also be heads (see Rev.17:9-10).
Why two different symbols? Because there are two sorts of kings.... those who are still awaiting their dominion, and those who already reign over their dominion. You might note, that in speaking of the horns, Rev.17:12 reads that they are still awaiting their kingdom.
--
But at Rev.17:9-10, those kings who are described as heads of the Beast, are also described as hills/mountains. That denotes being raised up, and as taking the lead over a congregation/household, providing it's light and food (Matt.5:14-15; 24:16; Eze.36:8).
Such kings are also the ones described as "stars" and "lamps", who can also, either be faithful (Rev.1:20; Phil.2:15; Dan.12:3; Matt.5:15)...
...or not (Rev.8:8,10-11; 9:1; 12:4; Zech.4:7).
--
The seven "heads" of the Beast, are wicked stewards in alliance with Gentiles/drunkards (Matt.24:48-49; Prov.31:5; 17:15; Isa.28:7; Jer.51:57)...
...which Gentiles are also the ones who afford them their royal dominion. Rather than their being raised up and supported within a holy congregation (Rev.1:20);
they are supported and served by, Gentiles. God considers that unfaithful alliance, as spiritual fornication (Isa.1:2,4,7,21; 30:1; Eze.17:15; 23:22,28,29,30; Rev.17:16-17; Jer.17:5)
--
But then, we must also include what Rev.10:11 and 5:9-10 tells us about the identity of all the kings in Revelation.
John is told "You must prophesy *again*... about kings". This indicates that the kings prophesied about in the second part of Revelation (Rev.17:9-10,12), are the same ones prophesied to, in the first part of Revelation (Rev.1:5; 5:9-10) over which, Jesus is Lord and King (Rev.19:16; John 18:36; 17:16)
Jesus does not share a dominion with Satan (Luke 4:5,6;  1John 5:19; 2:17; Rev.21:1; Job 14:4; Dan.2:44,35), nor rule over, nor inherit, Satan's corrupt world.
--
After reading and digesting all these scriptures, do you see that the "horns", are anointed who have not yet acquired a dominion to reign over? Do you perceive that the ten heads, are those anointed, who have attained a dominion?

Who is your Master ?

This post is for educational purposes, by examining a quote from a recent publication...

By a statement in the Jan.18 Watchtower magazine; ......
"In the days leading up to the Memorial, we can set aside time to examine prayerfully and carefully our personal relationship with Jehovah. How can we do that? By ‘testing whether we are in the faith.’ To do that, we do well to ask ourselves: ‘Do I really believe that I am part of the only organization that Jehovah has approved to accomplish his will?"

In effect, does not this statement equate being an obedient slave of the "Watchtower", with being "in the faith"?
(1Cor.7:23; Rom.6:16; Gal.1:10)
The "faith" being spoken of in the scripture they quote (2Cor.13:5), is according to the Bible,  the faith provided by the teaching of Jesus Christ... *not a faith rooted in the vacillating doctrine of the Organization.
(Rom.3:22; 8:1; Phil.3:8-9; Matt.7:24-27; Eph.2:20;  1Cor.3:11)
Our "testing" properly occurs, when we are building our faith on the words of Christ.... not the present releases or bound volumes of the doctrines of men.
I hope all will intensely consider, that this statement by the WT,
is crystallized in the symbolic meaning of Rev.13:16.
Deut.11:18 conveys the interpretation of that verse. There it tells us, that we receive a symbolic mark on our forehead, by the spiritual master of our faith (Rev.7:3). We are either slaves of God's truths, or slaves of the doctrines of men (666), which is idolatry. Making that choice (Joel 3:14; 2:32; Luke 17:30-31,32; Rev.18:4), means a decision between life, or death (Rom.6:16).

Heavens - Earth - Sea | The Authority of Christ

At Matt.28:18, Jesus said;
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.".

"And God subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head **over everything for the church**, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all" (Eph.2:22-23).
(1Cor. 3:16;  1Pet. 2:5;  1Cor. 12:17)
The heaven and earth over which Jesus has received authority, are symbolic and not physical. Heaven and earth, are not the sea, which is also symbolic. The symbolic sea is the realm of Satan (Isa.57:20).
Earth, comes from the Greek word "Gae", which more accurately means "land".. an owned plot of land... a homeland.
https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&strongs=g1093
God has such a "field under cultivation" where he makes his home, such as referred to in Rev.10:2;  1Cor. 3:9; Luke 8:15 and John 15:1; 14:23.

The heaven and earth are being sorted, into a heaven and earth that will pass away, or a new heavens and earth, that will remain forever... depending upon a choice of faithfulness or unfaithfulness (2Pet. 3:7,13). The heavens are where God is king... his throne. The earth is his footstool... willing subjects to God's authority (Acts 7:49).
Neither the heaven nor earth, are the sea belonging to Satan (Isa.27:1; 57:20), which will fully pass away (Rev.21:1; Ps.37:10).

The point of these scriptures, is that the dominion of God and Christ, are not the dominion of Satan. The physical world is not what the Bible is talking about, when it speaks in symbolic terms of the heavens, earth, and sea.
Jesus was given authority as a king when on earth, just as he stated at Matt.28:18. He rules until all the unfaithful disciples, who have made themselves enemies of Christ, are subdued under his feet..... (Luke 22:69; Ps.110:2;  1Cor. 15:25)
.....through the clouds of heaven/Zion (Heb.12:1; Matt.26:64; Jude 1:14; Ps.110:2; Rev.2:26-27; Jer.51:20; Hosea 6:5).
The physical creation has been made subject to Satan (Luke 4:6; John 19:11).

All the chosen ones, who choose to imitate Satan, are twice dead, having chosen the Destroyer again as their father, inheriting sin and second death.
Those who imitate and follow the example and path of Jesus, are given a new birth, a spiritual one. They are born again of spirit and endure in faithfulness, to receive righteousness and life.
Those two groups are the ones over which, Jesus has been given authority... not over Satan's fallen creation. Those rightly disposed for everlasting life, are being gathered into the storehouse of Jesus Christ. The rest are condemned by the "fire" of God's word of judgment (Jer.23:29; 5:14; Rev.11:3,5; 20:9;  2Pet. 3:7).
The unfaithful are abandoned, to the sin and death they have chosen, and the dominion of the one who holds the power of death within his dominion (Heb.2:14).

Armageddon is the conclusion of this sorting harvest. Those under the authority of Christ who belong to heaven.....
(Eph.2:6; Heb.12:22-23; Luke 10:20; Rev.17:14; 19:14,8)
.....battle at his side, against the agents of falsehood (1Tim. 4:1; Rev.16:13-16; 17:14; 12:10-11;  2Cor. 10:3-5)

So yes... all authority in "heaven" and on "earth" is given to Christ, to discipline, refine, teach, and judge as faithful, or not (Mark 13:33-37; Matt.25:14-15; 12:36; Rom.2:6-8; John 12:48).

All Jesus slaves (the heavens and earth), have a day of accounting with him. The unfaithful "heavens" and "earth", will burn up with "fire". The faithful heavens will remain forever... and the "sea" will be no more. But to really understand what Matt.28:18 means, we must have spiritual discernment according to interpretation by scripture.

Who is the Destroyer ?

A QUESTION:

After reading the post on Armageddon...(https://4womaninthewilderness.blogspot.com/2018/01/armageddon.html),
...it does make sense that Armageddon would be symbolic, which is in keeping with our loving creator. However when discussing this with the family today, we wondered about times in the Hebrew Scriptures when God caused the destruction of many men, women and children, such as the flood, the final plague on the Egyptian's firstborn, Sodom and Gomorrah as well as all the Israelite wars against enemy nations while settling the promised land etc. How are we to reconcile these events?

MY REPLY:

Please consider what happened in Eden, because there we learn how God handles sin. Did God kill Adam and Eve? No. But He did warn them, that death would be the result of their wrong choice. How would that death come about? Well, first, they would choose to make Satan their father and god. How did that happen? We are told in the Bible, that we are slaves to whatever we obey (Rom.6:16-17)----

"16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance."

How does this scripture apply to what happened in Eden? When Adam and Eve turned to Satan for guidance, and obeyed that guidance, they became Satan's obedient slaves, much as a child would obey his father. By eating fruit from a forbidden source, they left off taking their guidance (and obedience) from God as their father. They became children of sin and death (John 8:34; Rom.5:12). How? Satan, is the father of both, sin and death (Heb.2:14; John 8:44; Rev.9:11; Isa.33:1).

If we become his children, we come under his dominion of both, sin and death. Rom.6:17 quoted above, tells us that when we loyally obey the "pattern of teaching" from God, we become His slaves, we are granted righteousness and life, rather than being slaves to sin and death.

Can you see from all this, that our choice to imitate and obey Satan as father, results in being under the power of his dominion (much as a child put into a household under Satan)? When under Satanic authority, we are subject to his decisions. What befalls those under Satanic authority and dominion? Do you see from the Bible, that the consignment and destination of those belonging to Satan, is destruction and death?
God cannot righteously protect and defend... those who have chosen of their own free will, to disobey God as Father... and have chosen Satan... the provider and enticer of deceptive and corrupt desires, that end in death (James 1:13-14,15; Gal.6:7).

If so, then we can return to your questions....
God is ultimately responsible for universal justice. Under that righteous umbrella of divine justice, God either chooses to act, or to not act... to protect, or not protect, to guard against the wicked one, or to surrender to the wicked one.
Whatever God's decision, it always respects our free will, just as in Eden. But after we have chosen our god and father, it is a righteous part of God's justice that we do, reap what we sow. We cannot change our mind, after we have "eaten the fruit" and acted out our sin.

As we learned by the accounts of Job and Jesus, even righteous ones can be subjected to Satanic test, and suffer his cruelty. But after proving loyal and faithful to God, God is justified in limiting what Satan can do. Not so, with those who have chosen Satan as father, who have rejected God's grace and guidance. In doing so, they have also forfeited God's protection.

So now, what of executions of death, that resulted from God's justice in BIble history? Did God deviate from what we have learned in the foregoing scriptures? Was it God Himself, that caused the deaths of the wicked?
There are two ways of answering this question.
Since God is the One who ultimately decides, what He allows to happen, then I suppose with that viewpoint... God is responsible for everything, isn't He?
But if we concur with God's righteous sense of Justice... we accept that some of the things God allows to befall the wicked, who have exercised their free will to choose rebellion, are deserved, and that it is an exercise of God's righteousness, in allowing them to reap what they have sown.

Again... what of Bible history, and it's accounts of the executions of the wicked. Was it God allowing people to reap destruction from their chosen father?... or was it God, robbing Satan of his children.... taking Satan's children away from Satan, and then killing them?

I will use, one of your chosen examples to shed light on the answer to that question... that of the execution of the firstborn in Egypt. ---

God told His people His decision. See if you agree that it was Justice.
God told His people, that if any desired God's protection, that they should paint the blood of a lamb on their doorposts.
As God said...
"13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt." (Ex.12:13)
Although at the end of that verse, it sounds like God is doing the "striking"/destroying, could this mean that it is God, who is merely responsible for, allowing it?
Go down to verse 23---
"23 When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and **He will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.**"
We learn from verse 23, that God is setting a limit, based upon a household's obedience to God's instructions. Do you see that?
Do you see, that it is "the destroyer" that enters a disobedient house, and does the "striking down"?
Do you see God's justice at work... and do you see the Devil at work?
It is crucial, that we discern the distinction between the works of God (protector of the obedient) and the works of the Devil (to destroy the unprotected).

God is candid and forthcoming. He does not shrink from His part, and often takes credit for the destruction of the wicked, ---because it is God who exercises His justice and power, when He decides in all righteousness, what each person should reap. He makes certain, that we reap what we have sown. His righteous justice will always dominate, because He is, a God of righteous justice, and deserves to be credited and praised for being such.
Yet God does not take pleasure in either sin, bad consequences, or death. He desires that we desist from doing bad, and secure for ourselves a better outcome.
(Gen.4:7;  2Pet.3:9; Eze.33:11; Isa.1:16-17,18-19,20; Jonah 3:8-9; Jer.26:13) (https://pearl-copingwithsin.blogspot.com)

To know God, is to understand His justice, and not to ascribe to Him or Jesus Christ the works of the Devil. Neither God nor Jesus, are murderers. They are Judges, and for this reason, we rightly fear them, and strive to gain their approval. If we abandon them as Fathers, we deserve the treatment meted out by the Destroyer...
...whose dominion and household, we freely chose.
"7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. 8 The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." (Gal.6:7-8).
"10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Who is the False Prophet who gives breath to the image of the Beast ?

From Rev.19:20...
"The beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image."
What signs did the false prophet perform, on the Beasts' behalf?
Rev.13:14-17 tells us...
"14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to ***set up an image*** in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was given power to ***give breath to the image of the first beast***, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name."

The false prophet orders the inhabitants of the earth, to set up an idol that represents the beast. It "gives breath" to that image, so that the Beast can execute, any who refuse to worship its' image. Consequently, other symbolic restraints are also imposed and enforced.
How does the Bible itself interpret the meaning of giving the Image/Idol of the Beast, "breath"?
John 20:21-23 tells us:
"21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

In the Bible, the word for breath is "pneuma" (Greek) and "ruach" (Hebrew). The same words are also defined as "spirit" (Gen.2:7; John 6:63).
Receiving breath, is receiving spirit... being sent forth by Christ (John 20:21; 13:20), and being given the power to judge... to forgive (or not forgive) sins (John 20:23;  1Cor. 6:1-3; Matt.18:18).
Now that we understand the meaning of receiving breath/spirit, and the authority it bestows, let's consider an evil counterfeit of this.

Rev.13:15 reads;
"He (false prophet -Rev.13:11; 19:20) was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed." (power to judge/condemn to death)

Do we see any "Beast"... any identity or group, being imbued with an image of such authority, by a false prophet?
At John 20:21-23, we saw that Jesus gave spiritual authority and power, to his anointed chosen priests (Luke 10:19; Mal.2:7; Rev.1:5-6; 5:9-10;  1Pet. 2:5). But who is it that actually appears to be authorized to exercise the authority and power of God's priesthood, today... even over the anointed Chosen?
What image today, seems "spirit-directed" and as a result, the tangible representatives and enforcers of worship toward that image, can pass the judgment of spiritual life or death/forgive or not forgive sin...
(over those who refuse to accept that image as being spirit-directed),
...even over the chosen ones? (2Thess. 2:4; Mark 13:14; John 16:2)
(Rom.2:28-29; Rev.2:9)

At Rev.13:7, we are also told, that this alliance between the false prophet and it's Beast, "conquers the holy ones". (Rev.13:10; Luke 21:24; Dan.8:12; Rev.11:2; Matt.5:13).

 Rev.13:15

Are you awake to recognizing the fulfillment of this prophecy?
It is in plain site, among "Jehovah's Witnesses".

I do hope that those interested, will learn more about Rev.13:14-17. The Bible's own interpretation of those verses are shocking to those under the influence of the harlots wine/wormwood.

The Living Idol

From Rev.19:20...
"The beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image."
What signs did the false prophet perform, on the Beasts' behalf?
Rev.13:14-17 tells us...
"14 Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to ***set up an image*** in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was given power to ***give breath to the image of the first beast***, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image, to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, (Mark-of-Beast) 17 so that they could not buy or sell (Buying-and-Selling) unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number (666) of its name."

The false prophet orders the inhabitants of the earth, to set up an idol that represents the beast. It "gives breath" to that image, so that the Beast can execute, any who refuse to worship its' image. Consequently,  other symbolic restraints are also imposed and enforced.
How does the Bible itself interpret the meaning, of giving the Image/Idol of the Beast, "breath"?
John 20:21,22,23 tells us:
"21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Receiving breath, is receiving spirit. Those to whom Jesus gives holy spirit, are being sent forth to work for Christ, and are given the power to forgive (or not forgive) sins.
At Rev.13:7, we are also told, that this alliance between the false prophet and it's Beast, "conquers the holy ones".

Do we see any "Beast"... any identity or group, whose image is being imbued with a facade of spirit-authority and power, by a false prophet?
At John 20:21,22,23, we saw that Jesus gave holy spirit to his anointed chosen ones, bestowing on them a commission to teach truth, and authority over the forgiveness of sin
(John 20:23;  1Cor.6:2,3; Matt.18:18).
But who is it that is actually exercising that authority and power today... even over the anointed Chosen?
What image today, by declaration of a prophet, seems "spirit-directed", and as a result, the tangible representatives and enforcers of worship toward that image, can pass the judgment of spiritual life or death...
(over those who refuse to accept that image as being spirit-directed),
...even over the chosen ones?
(Dan.8:11,12,24; 11:33; Luke 21:24; Rev.13:10,7;  1Cor.3:16;  2Thess.2:4; Dan.11:36,37,34; Mark 13:14)
