Dear Pearl and others,
I thought about the idea that ones in the Watchtower who do not allow themselves to be killed by it in disfellowshipping. Surely we can compare to 1st century and Christ said his followers would be persecuted and killed but not every Christian was put to death but generally speaking none escaped some form of persecution. So these ones may not be of the number who are killed does not mean they subject to the beast?

My Reply:

If they do not get killed, are they subject to Jesus Christ? 
(Mark 8:35; 13:13; Matt.25:5-6; Heb.13:13; John 16:2; Rev.12:11; 6:9-10,11; Rom.6:5;  2Cor.4:10)

In the first century... every "Christian" who did not obey Jesus and flee Jerusalem (Matt. 24:15,16), likely died under God's disfavor for their disobedience, when Jerusalem was destroyed.
The destruction of the Beast and false prophet, is also certain (Rev. 20:10) as is the destruction of all who remain under their influence (Rev. 13:8; 20:15; Eze. 14:10) or do not get out 
(Rev. 18:4; Luke 21:21,22; Isa. 52:11; 48:20; Jer. 51:6; Ps. 26:4;  1Cor. 10:21;  2Cor. 6:16,17).

For what reason, would any Christian remain in first century Jerusalem, despite Christ's warning?
Would it not be because his words at Matt. 23:38 and Matt. 21:43 were not taken to heart?
Jesus made plain, that the Jewish system was about to end (Matt. 24:2), and that God's favor and spirit was no longer with it.
That is the stark reality today, regarding the "Watchtower" (WT-crumble). 

So,
for what reason would someone stay inside?
Those "not perceiving" the "Watchtower's" standing with God, are still in darkness (What-is-Hades?).
Why would anyone have a reason to remain inside an organization condemned by God, and about to be destroyed,
unless they were still under it's deluding influence?...not taking seriously the warnings of Christ? (John 14:15)
(Rev. 13:8,14,15; Matt. 24:4,5,24,25; Rev. 14:9,10,11; 18:4; Luke 21:21,22)

The influence of the Beast upon one's heart, is made evident and manifest, by the symbolic mark of "666", on your forehead and hand.
Those who were still swayed by the physical appearance of Jerusalem in the first century (previous to it's destruction), could also have that influence made evident, by their reluctance to leave (Luke 21:5,6,12,13,15,16,17,19).

Jesus warned his disciples, to "Flee"... comparing that exodus to Lot fleeing "Sodom" (Luke 17:26,27,28,29,30,31,32; Rev. 11:8).
Was it enough that Lot did not agree with the corruption he saw around him? (2Pet. 2:7,8)
Would that have saved his life from God's fire and sulfur that turned Sodom to ashes?
Or, did Lot need to "get out"? 
(Gen. 19:12-13,15,17,24,25,26,27,28,29; Jer. 51:6; Rev. 18:4)

Jesus also made clear, when to flee, at Matt. 24:15,16 and Mark 13:14.
If we are capable of perceiving that the abomination (man of lawlessness 2Thess. 2:4) is now over the Holy Place (God's Temple 1Cor. 3:16) (Disgstg-thing);
then what are we waiting for ?... 
...if not under the spell of a deceptive aura, 
      a veneer of divinity leading the unwary to destruction (Luke 21:36), 
      a lethal facade, 
      a demonic guise and hoax, 
      inebriation by the harlot's sorcery
...convincing it's victims that they should remain inside the abomination for some reason?
  Would you justify remaining inside a Catholic Church, a mosque, or some other temple, if you knew God commanded you to get out? 
Do you view the "Watchtower" as  somehow different from those? If so, why?
Of all places, it is most deserving of God's wrath (WTs-end) (winepress) because it is lead by those who were in, but broke, a covenant with God (Rev. 21:9,10; Isa. 1:21; Rev. 17:6; Matt. 23:37,35; Rev. 18:24; 13:15; 11:7; 6:9,10,11; 19:2). 
Please examine your heart carefully, as to why, like Lot's wife, one should look back to Sodom (Rev. 11:8).

Lot's wife's heart, was somehow attached to that abhorrent city. She was not wholehearted in her willingness to leave it all behind.
Was she attached to something good?

We cannot serve two masters (1King 18:21). 
We either cherish the lifesaving truth of Christ, who mercifully extends his saving guidance;
or we diminish that truth, as secondary to false reasoning 
(Jer. 51:7; Col. 2:8; Rev. 13:10,7; Luke 21:24).

Though you say that not all Christians lost their lives in the first century...
every single one of the faithful did lose their lives (symbolically) within the corrupt Jewish system. They were condemned by the religious leaders as heretics, apostates, and blasphemers who were deserving of death. Those condemned and cast off, were then treated as dead, by all followers. Their previous life was over.
(John 9:22; 12:42; 16:2; Luke 12:8,9; Mark 8:35; 13:13; Heb. 13:13).

The requirement for faithfulness before Christ, is the same today 
(2Cor. 11:2,3,4; Rev. 2:20; 6:9,10,11; 12:10,11;  1John 2:14; Rev. 2:7; 3:12,21) (1Pet. 4:12,13,14;  2Cor. 1:5; Phil. 3:10,11).

Please meditate on Christ and God's words, about the reality and necessity of our sacrifice:
[John 12:24,25; Rev. 6:9,11; (Eze. 33:6; Rev. 19:15); Phil. 3:10; Rom. 6:5; 8:17; (Matt. 16:24; Gal. 3:13; Heb. 13:13); Mark 8:35].
Of course we know that thus far, this death today, is not literal.
If we shrink back 
       (Heb. 10:38) from declaring truth and the 
       "death" which naturally must follow (Rev. 13:15); 
what are we gaining? (Matt. 16:25,26,27; Mark 8:36,37,38).
If we belong to Christ, we will confess his saving truths before men, and die for it 
(Eph.4:25; Luke 9:26; 22:28; Rev. 14:4,5;  1Pet. 2:21). 
If we remain silent, then we are still in subjection to the law of the Beast... which decrees and enforces, that no doctrine but the Beast's, may be exchanged (Rev. 13:16,17)(buying-and-selling). 
If we cower before that law, we disobey Christ's counsel (Rev. 3:18; Matt. 25:14; 13:52; 25:25,28,30;  2Tim. 1:7,8;  2Cor. 4:1,2; 10:5; Eph. 4:25; Matt. 5:14) ("Lukewarm"), and are still marked by the laws of the Beast.

So when you ask;
"These ones may not be of the number who are killed does not mean they subject to the beast?"...
How can anyone obey Christ by sharing the truth, and not be condemned to spiritual death within the organization?
How can anyone avoid organizational death, unless they are, "subject to the Beast"?

I hope you can perceive that in our time, escaping death for truth is not possible for those faithful, 
just as Jesus foretold (Mark 8:35).

What was Lot's wife willing to give up, "in exchange for her soul"?

Not enough, and so, she lost it.
Are we willing to give up an abomination causing desolation to God's children,
   and fully obey Christ's warning to flee,
or not?
As far as where we need to flee to, Jesus gave us that information.

our mark of citizenship to it, is made manifest before God and men (Mal. 3:18; Joel 3:14; James 1:12; Rev. 3:11). 
If you have been chosen as a priest, to serve in God's Holy place, you have an obligation...

"Peace and Security" within "Jerusalem"?

Here is a recent comment, and my reply:

I find that you Pearl are the one attacking another anointed brother. What Perimeno said was not prophecy he merely quoted scriptures.

I find him to be a humble man, and never puts himself over Gods sheep, he knows he is here for Gods sheep not the other way around.

You also mentioned that he is under the GB influence by remaining in the congregation. Was Christ under the directions and influence of the Pharasees while still going to the temple. Was the apostle Paul under the direction of the superfine apostles, did he advocate leaving the congregation because of the wickedness by some of those anointed, NO. We wait on Jehovah, anything else is pushing ahead.

What would you have the sheep leave and go where, where do they congregate? where do they encourage one another, Jehovah looks after his sheep even when they are surrounded by wicked ones within, even if some of the shepherds have become apostate. Jehovah's holy spirit is for all his people, individually those faithful among his sheep are given his holy spirit it endure. Love is the key, love of God and love of our brothers, Jesus gave us the example to follow.

When Jesus adressed the seven congregations in Rev; did he say for any of the faithful b/s to leave, no he said for those who were doing wrong to repent. Jehovah in is loving kindness is waiting for those ones in his temple to repent, and I agree with Perimeno that it has another reason, to show those who are faithful and waiting on Jehovah for his time to judge his house, those that worship the GB and its WTO will be judged, and will be a distinction between those that love and worship Jehovah and those that love and worship the organization.

Where are Gods sheep today then? do we not go to the meetings to encourage one another, to show brotherly love?

Jesus brought his lost sheep back to the pen, he did not say go and find another.

If you reconsider, you may realize that I have not "attacked" Perimeno, but rather, have attacked some of his teachings. Perhaps you do not realize, that the central purpose and calling of anointed (should they prove faithful), is to do exactly that (Mal.2:7; Eph.5:11;  2Cor.10:3-4,5-6). Is that not what Perimeno does also, with some teachings of the GB? 

Perimeno did not merely "quote scriptures"...he gave his interpretation, and how that interpretation should guide others. I KNOW that this guidance, will lead others to death. I MUST speak (Eze.33:8).
I know Perimeno. I caution you concerning the putting of your Faith in his "humility". That esteem has been ascribed to the GB too. Such faith in men is irrelevant. Our faith should only be in Yhvh, Christ, and the scriptures.

Jesus Christ was never "under the direction and influence of the Pharisees". His obedience to God's Laws were direct, and from the time of his birth he was born "under Law" (Gal.4:4). Jesus actions and teachings easily prove whose influence and direction he was under (John 5:30; 12:49; Matt.23:13,17).
Paul spoke out, publicly "attacking" the false teachings of "superfine apostles", did he not? 
(2Cor.11:12;  1Tim.1:7)

"Waiting on Jehovah", is blasphemy. Yhvh's justice is not to blame for the wickedness. The delay and drunken sleepiness of the anointed, is to blame (Rev.6:11; 12:11;  2Tim.1:7; Jer.4:10). 
As regards "pushing ahead"...the anointed have not been called into inactivity or shrinking back (Matt.25:25-26,30; Heb.10:38; Phil.3:13; Rev.2:2-3,5,19,26; 3:2), 
but to war 
(Eph.5:11;  2Cor.11:12; 10:3-4,5;  1Cor.11:19; Rev.19:11,14,8; 17:14; 12:11; Mark 8:35). 
Those who refuse to fight, die (Rev.3:16;  1Tim.6:12; Heb.10:39; Matt.10:33).
As far as "where the sheep should go", 
that choice depends upon their obedience to Christ (Matt.24:15-16,28; Rev.18:4; John 10:3-4).

You are correct...Yhvh DOES "look after His sheep, even when they are surrounded by wicked ones" through no choice of their own (1Cor.15:33; Ps.140:1). He also looks after them when they are no longer a part of the wicked ones 
(2Cor.6:14-15,16-17;  2Thess.3:6; Rom.16:17;  2Tim.3:5;  2John1:10-11; Prov.13:20; Psalm 1:1; 26:4,5).
"Encouragement" is not derived by a passive listening to lies, while those around you are being guided to death (Eze.33:8).

The "example of Jesus", was to leave the corrupt congregation (Matt.23:38-39). It is NOT the path of love, to silently condone the misleading of God's Nation by Satan (2Cor.11:4; Rev.2:20). This is what one does, if they sit in silence while their fellows are being deceived.

The wrong that the "seven congregations" were doing, which they needed to repent for, was a "tolerating" of false teachings, even though those teachings were "misleading of my slaves to commit fornication and idolatry" (Rev.2:14-15,16,20,22-23; 3:2,19). The rest of that same book, gives clear instruction to the remnant....

How many who DO NOT worship the beast, avoid being "killed" by it?

"Yhvh's temple", are anointed (1Cor.3:16;  1Pet.2:5). 
Perimeno's false teaching that all disciples are equal to being anointed, has gained him a following, based upon this false flattery to his followers (Rom.16:18;  1Thess.2:5,4) ...just as the elders have been mislead into thinking that they are the "spirit-appointed" "princes" (Rev.9:7).

The distinction (Mal.3:18), between those who love and worship Yhvh and those who follow the Beast, is already being made manifest...not within the meetings...but in the "wilderness" outside, where the "eagles" are gathering to those slain. 
Do you seriously see anyone standing up for truth in the Kingdom Hall, to fulfill Mal.3:18? I am sure that if anyone does claim this "certain distinction", he will be promptly ushered out, and announced as expelled. There is your distinction!

How is it that you are showing "brotherly love" to those on the line to the wine-press of God's wrath? Is your warning to them distinct? (1Cor.14:8)
Jesus himself (not an organization), is the entrance to the true spiritual "pen" (John 10:9). The "Pen" of Jesus Christ is not a corrupt man-made organization which is now ruled by Satan (Rev.9:11). God's people are being held captive in that deadly pen (Rev.13:10; Isa.5:18,13-14; Amos 9:4,8-9,10). 
When Yhvh "sifts" his people (Amos 9:9), it is so that the "desirable ones" come to the True Temple! (Haggai 2:7; Matt.24:28). 
God's Word DOES NOT TELL US TO STAY PUT amidst the apostasy during his separating work. He tells us to GET OUT (Rev.18:4). 
Yhvh's pen is not inside the City of apostate Jerusalem, "Babylon", Egypt, or Sodom (Rev.11:8; 18:10).

Why does prophecy compare the corrupt "City" that kills the faithful anointed to "Sodom" and "Egypt"? Because in the case of both, physical fleeing meant survival! (Luke 17:28-29,30,32-33)
When the righteous soul of Lot was tormented by the lawlessness of Sodom's citizens (2Pet.2:6-7,8) the solution was not to upbuild, love, and encourage those corrupt people, but to be removed from them. 
As impossible as it may seem, "Jerusalem" is now in the same condition (Eze.9:4,9-10; Rev.18:5); and anyone inside should also be "sighing and groaning"..."tormented" like Lot...if their "soul" is also "righteous" (Rev.9:5). 
God's judgment is coming to these (1Pet.4:17; Jer.25:29-30) and consistent with all the Cities destroyed by Yhvh in the past....to remain in their proximity of them, means death.

Why does Rev.11:8 also say that "Sodom" and "Egypt" it is the same place Jesus was impaled? 
Because the central place of God's worship... apostate Jerusalem (Matt.23:37); is in the same spiritual condition as it was in the first century. Just as God's faithful had to flee from Babylon, Sodom, Egypt, and Jerusalem, ...God's people in the time of the end are given the same warning [Rev.18:4 --"MY people" (1Pet.2:9-20)] ...to "get out" of where they are.

Please send me the scripture where the Bible tells God's anointed remnant, to stay inside and
remain associating with the mislead idolators, (1Cor.5:11; Psalm 26:4,5) ...not to warn them, but to "encourage" them toward a greater sense of "peace and security" (Eze.13:10;  1Thess.5:3).

Our "Garment"

Let us be clothed by our association with the light of Christ, rather than the darkness of demons

Hide? Or Herald? / Stay? Or Flee?

You are having people "out" themselves when it seems it is really not the time to do so. It seems to me it is the time to remain hidden until Christ sends us out to go ruling in the midst of our enemies. Obadiah hid 100 prophets by 50 in caves, David hid himself from king Saul. Mordeciai told Esther not to reveal her people or her identity:
Esther 2:10 -Now Esther had not disclosed her people or her lineage, for Mordecai had instructed her not to do so.
If you reveal yourself now, you will face unnecessary trials and persecution you don't have to face at this time, the time will come for that but it is not now. Please consider this carefully."

First of all, the people you speak of did not "out themselves".

They simply started obeying the scriptures, were noticed because of it, and then were subjected to scrutiny, slander, and expulsion. This was done, not by them, but by the false doctrines of the "wicked steward", and the army of Gentile elders---that steward's long arms 
(Dan.11:31; Jer.7:30; 19:4; Dan.11:38,39,10,22; 8:11;  2Thess. 2:4; Rev.13:15; 19:20; 17:6,3; 11:7). 
This circumstance and event is a common theme in end-time prophecies (John 16:2,4,1; Luke 21:24; Rev.11:2; 13:10).
Christ's advice, is that when faced with falsehood, we must confess Christ's truth, and not seek to "save our souls"...the life and identity we may possess (Matt.10:32; Eph.4:25; Ps.26:4; Mark 8:35). This is also required in the time of the end, when faced with doctrines of demonic deception (1Tim. 4:1; Rev.16:13,14,15,16; 17:14; 19:11,14,8). If we shrink back, we do not please our Master (Heb.10:38; Rev.2:20; 3:1,2,3,4; 2:25; 12:17 D).
Without a death for truth in imitation of Christ (Rom.6:5; Heb.13:13; Rev.20:4; 13:15; 11:7,8);
we will not be sealed as tested and faithful (Rev.6:9,10,11; Rev.19:7,8,14; 6:9,11; 11:7) (Rev.2:10; Luke 22:31; John 12:24,25).

Many things can seem true to us. Is that not true of the false doctrines we used to believe? Yet as knowledge and refinement progress, we often realize we were shortsighted (Prov.14:12). 

Many things can seem false to us. We must be open to Christ in however he has arranged to teach and refine us (1Cor. 3:18; Rev.3:17,18,19; Prov.1:23; Dan.11:33,34,35; 12:10).
The bottom line is, we are all fools, especially compared to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Our very lives depend upon gaining their graces, and the favor of their wisdom, without which we expire in the dark (Isa.38:17;  1Pet. 2:9;  1Thess. 5:4-6,7-8; Eph.6:11;  2Cor. 10:3-5).
Have you privately petitioned God for confirmation of your perceptions,
by means of a clear sign?

Although you give scriptural accounts of times when God's people hid,

you do not provide scriptures which tell those in our shoes today, to hide.
You do not provide scriptures which reveal when and how a supposed switch from hiding to heralding occurs.
What relevant and related scriptures then, are there, for me to "carefully consider"?
There are scriptures for varying situations, and various scriptural ways to respond appropriately to each of them.
We are not entitled to the liberty of applying them as seems right to us.
The Bible itself tells us when and how to apply them.

    a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3     a time to kill and a time to heal,

So then,

how do we know whether it is now time to hide,
or the time to come out of hiding and herald the truth?
Is it time to stay silent and hide inside the Organization (Ps.26:4; Eph.5:11),
or is it time to speak openly and not condone the wickedness we perceive,
and as a consequence, be "persecuted for righteousness sake"? (Matt.5:10,11,12)

Jesus Christ himself, told us when to flee (Matt.24:15,16).

It is when we perceive /"catch sight" of, the presence of  "disgusting thing standing in the holy place"

Not all will come to "perceive" the presence of this abomination

Once an anointed one "catches sight" of this abomination, it is not permissible for that chosen priest to remain a silent doormat to the Gentiles who trample him

They are consistently referred to in prophecy, as courageous heralds in the face of "death" (Rev.6:9,10,11; 12:10,11; 20:4), 
bearing tireless witness, by sounding their priestly trumpets

The "wilderness" is not a place to hide, but a place of testing and sifting, just as it was for Christ (Matt.4:1). What scripture guides you to believe that the "wilderness" means Christ's footstep followers should be hiding?
Note that the harlot, (who is not hiding), is also in the wilderness, along with the "woman" (Rev.17:3; 12:6).
Note that the "woman" is fed while in the wilderness, for a symbolic period of 1.260 days "away from the face of the serpent"--not "hiding".
Through her testing, she will be protected from failure

Conquering Satan by means of our heralding (Rev.12:10,11), is done individually, and has been occurring in every sealed member of Christ's body, since the first century

Your reference to this very scripture (Ps.94:12,13), enforces that the woman in the wilderness is "protected"/"given relief" from the forces of failure (Rev.12:15) by means of God's instruction.
Why do you view "protection" and "hiding" as the same word?
Armor protects a soldier during battle.
It is our knowledge, faith, hope, and our eternal incorruptibly which are guarded during battle.

Because of our common sin of idolatry (Rev.13:8,7; Dan.7:21; Rev.9:7,4), we are not being protected from battle (2Chron. 16:9; Dan.11:22; 9:25,26,27).
We are protected...not from our obligation to fight the battle (2Cor. 10:3,4,5; Rev.16:14,15; 17:14; 19:11,14,8), but from spiritual defeat (Rev.2:11;  1John 5:18; John 17:15; Rom.14:4)... a defeat that comes through inactivity (2Pet. 1:8; Matt.25:25,28,29,30). 
Protection from defeat, is not the same as passivity.

If you are not being fed the marriage feast now, not proclaiming what you are learning, are not prepared for battle;

1John 2:19 is not speaking of leaving the religious system. It's true reference is speaking of the body of Christ, and the Called and Chosen ones who leave union with that body

         Rev.16:13,14,15;  1John 4:1; Matt.24:24,25)

We must care about God's commands.

When to Flee / Peace

A QUESTION:

Good morning sister D

I trust you are well in these trying times. We sure have not spoken in a long time, but I am aware of what you and Obe are going through. May God grant you the wisdom and will necessary for you to endure, you and everyone that is fighting for truth.

I have attached next year's circuit assembly program,  it is about 'peace' I wonder if this in another prophecy being fulfilled.  The organization is sure changing,  they are putting most of their publications on their website,  even the Kindom Ministry,  it is no longer intended for baptized witnesses. I can now see what you meant when you said the emphasis on JW.ORG will not have the desired outcome.

The survey that you put up about the instructions from the GB is spot on, almost all JW members will do everything for them, even 'kill'. Blatant idolatry,  but don't dare say it to their faces.

Please help out on these two scriptures: Rev 18:4 and Luke 21:20-21. When exactly are we to flee/get out of her, are these verses about two different occasions or one?

Well on a lighter note, family is doing well. My wife does show interest at times, ongoing mission to get her to open her eyes and our son is growing up so much

Hello Modise,
I am happy to imagine you enjoying the many blessings of fatherhood. Yes, I do remember now your question. It is good you sent it to me again, through this site. My present circumstances are very trying, and I have grown quite forgetful. In prayer, I will do my best to reply to you now.

I see many topics within your letter. The one that stands out to me, is the one about when to flee (and your scriptures cited). Yet your subject is "peace", and a recent campaign of the WT and it's possible association to prophecy.
Perceiving whatever questions I am able to, I will reply to each.

I am not aware of what content will be taught at the circuit assembly, under the subject of "Peace". If I knew what their assertions are going to be, perhaps then I could respond with scriptural comments as a comparison.
Having been a "Jehovah's Witness" for 35 years though, I am familiar with the WT's assertion that true peace with God is attained through an association and subjection to the WT hierarchy; and that peace with God is not possible otherwise, despite God's own assurance 
(James 4:8; 1:5; Luke 11:9-13; Prov.2 <Link).

PEACE

Regarding these two assertions, the scriptures could be explored to discover that peace with God is through Christ, and his body of 144,000.....
Eph.2:13,14 reads;
"13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall".
Although this is speaking of the peace Christ brought between Jews and Gentiles...by making them all spiritual Jews, one family through their faith 
(Gal.3:28-29; 6:15-16;  1Thess.5:4-5; Rom.12:5; Eph.4:25,13; 2:15;  1Cor.12:13)...
Christ is still the basis of unity and peace, among all his true followers 
(Eph.4:3-4,5; John 14:27; 16:33; Isa.9:6; Acts 10:36;  2Pet.1:2; Col.3:11,15; 1:20;  1Cor.1:3; Rom.1:7; 5:1).
The anointed body of Christ, his Bride, offer the living teachings of Christ to yet others 
(Isa.52:7; John 8:31; 7:38; Rev.22:17;  1Cor.4:1; Rev.5:10; Mal.2:7; Matt.5:9; Phil.4:9;  1Pet.1:2). 
An accurate understanding of scripture, and the prayer to God by the righteous, brings them comfort and peace (Phil.4:6-7; Rom.14:17; 15:13;  1Cor.14:33;  2Cor.13:11;  1Pet.5:14).
The power of the holy spirit to provide peace through Christ, happened among all these Bible examples, without dependence upon the WT Corporation. It would have us believe that we must become their obedient slaves to have peace with God.

Romans 6:16
"Do YOU not know that if YOU keep presenting yourselves to anyone as slaves to obey him, YOU are slaves of him because YOU obey him, either of sin with death in view or of obedience with righteousness in view?

We clearly see here that we become slaves to those whom we obey. Our only Masters must be God and Christ. It says that obeying (slaving) for anyone else is a sin (with death in view).

Please consider the following scriptures:
1 Corinthians 7:23
"YOU were bought with a price; stop becoming slaves of men.”

Galatians 1:10
"Is it, in fact, men I am now trying to persuade or God? Or am I seeking to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I would not be Christ’s slave."
(So not only obeying men is wrong...even seeking to please them, is.)

Colossians 3:24
"for YOU know that it is from Jehovah YOU will receive the due reward of the inheritance. SLAVE for the Master, Christ.”

Gal.5:1
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

Rom.8:15
"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to son-ship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

Do men have the power to give everlasting life or immortality? Some of them think they do! (and they expect others to act [and worship] accordingly) (Gal.2:4)

Any true and faithful servant of God would never expect the obedience of others for themselves. They would only hope that others would show their obedience to God, his Word, and his Laws. In this way, they will enjoy the peace of God (Isa.48:18,17).
If a proclaimed servant of God expects and enforces something in return (This does not have to be limited to money.), in exchange for spiritual provisions...
then they have become "peddlers of the word" (2Cor.2:17; 4:2;  2Pet.2:3)...merchants in God's Temple (Luke 19:45; John 2:16,15)... seeking their own gain (1Pet.5:2; John 7:18). These disobey the commands of Christ and God (Matt.10:8; 5:44-45,48; James 1:5; Isa.55:1-2; Rev.3:18; 22:17; 19:9; Matt.22:9,10). For it is as if God has generously provided His Son's wedding feast for the benefit of all willing to attend,...
and these peddlers dare to stand outside, charging admission for their own pockets!
We do not owe any man (other than Christ) anything for what God provides.
To expect anything in return (recognition, honor, prominence, subjection, etc.) for being a messenger of heavenly bread or living water, is wrong (Num.20:10,12; Luke 17:10) (Rev.13:17; 6:6; 18:3,23; 22:8-9; 19:10;  1Cor.14:32; Rev.22:6) (Luke 16:2,10-11,12).


If peace were derived from unquestioning obedient subjection to those who take the lead among God's Nation; then why did Christ not give such subjection to the religious leaders of his day?
Jesus did not feel obliged to teach according to the doctrines of those leaders. He regarded God alone, as his teacher (John 12:49). His faithful and true brothers imitate him 
(Matt.10:20,27; John 7:16-17,18;  1Pet.2:21; Gal.1:11-12).
We need not hold to the teachings of men (Matt.15:9; Isa.29:13; Mark 7:7), but must hold to the teachings of Christ (John 8:31; Rom.3:4;  2Tim.3:16-17; Ps.119:104-105;  2Pet.1:19; Rev.22:16; 2:28; Luke 8:18; Rev.3:17,19).

Although the WT claims that they merely forward the teachings of Christ; So many of their arrangements, expectations, behavior, and rules, prove otherwise 
(Isa.29:13; Luke 12:1-2; Rev.22:18-19) (1Sam.8:11-12,13-14,15-16; Rev.18:7,13).
  When they go beyond what is written in the Bible (1Cor.4:6;  2John 1:9), they dare enforce compliance and subjection to them and their human doctrine, through expulsion (which they deem to be spiritual death) (John 16:2; Rev.13:15,8,4). 
They imitate the pompous Scribes and Pharisees, who handed their brother over to Gentiles to be killed! 
(John 8:40; Rev.11:7-8; John 18:29,30; Mark 10:33; Luke 18:32; Rev.11:2; Matt.23:34-35; Rev.18:24)
Even God's own Son did not condemn others to eternal death! (John 3:17; Matt.7:1-2,3; John 12:48-49; Rev.20:12)

Apparently, the WT "elders" are more righteous (Ec.7:16), and have more authority to condemn to Gehenna (John 16:2; Rev.11:7), than Jesus Christ does (Matt.28:18; John 5:22,27; Matt.12:37; Luke 6:45,44; Matt.7:19).

We are in reality, simply judged by Truth, as expressed by God through Christ (John 12:48-49; 6:63).
We either believe that truth and teach it, or we pervert and exploit it for our own power and glory (John 7:18,17; 16:13).
That truth will be fully revealed (and those who truly teach it -Rom.8:19), in the time of the end
(Dan.12:4; Rev.20:12; John 16:13-14,8,14; Rev.22:6; 11:3; John 16:13; Rev.22:6; Zech.4:9). Those who don't teach it, will also be revealed (2Thess.2:3,8)

We must be discerning, when choosing to accept the words of a prophet

Jesus made clear, that it is God alone whom we must serve (Matt.4:10; 22:37; Isa.40:18,25; 48:11; 42:8). We may think we can exchange our worship of God, to a worship of those whom we believe to represent Him; but this act is not acceptable to God. Yet, it was prophesied to happen in the time of the end (Rev.13:8; Jer.7:9-10; 25:27-28,29-30; Rev.14:19).

God warns us about false leaders/wicked stewards, who prophesy peace to His people, when peace with God does not truly exist, due to sin 
(Jer.23:16-17,15; Rev.8:11; Deut.29:18; Jer.14:15; Rev.6:8; Zech.13:1-2; Isa.30:22; Rev.13:15,8; 19:20). 
Such idolatrous sin exists today, as fervent and loyal "JW's" worship the Beast Organization and it's  Governors (Rev.17:1-2,6,15,18) who seek glory for themselves, not for God

WHEN TO FLEE

Rev.18:4
"4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her, my people,’
    so that you will not share in her sins,
    so that you will not receive any of her plagues"
(see Jer.51:6)

Luke 21:20,21
"20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city."

Jerusalem will be split open in the time of the end 
(Luke 21:11; Jer.6:1; Amos 1:1; Zech.14:1-2,3-4,5,7-8,9; Rev.6:12; 8:5; 11:13,19; 16:18).
At that time, the "earth" and the works in it, will be discovered/revealed/exposed (2Pet.3:10; Isa.33:14).
The "heavens" who rule over God's people, will be removed 
(2Pet.3:11-12,13-14; Matt.23:12; Job 22:29; Dan.4:17; Rev.11:12;  1Pet.5:6; Mal.3:18).
BOTH aspects/"sides" of Jerusalem will be "surrounded by armies".

The "armies" that surround "Jerusalem" in the time of the end, are the locust scorpions of Rev.9:7,3
  (Isa.33:4;  2Chron.7:13-14,19-20,21-22; Dan.11:38; Rev.2:20; Jer.46:22-23,24; Rev.11:8; Jer.51:14; Joel 2:1; 1:4; Nahum 3:15-16,17).

That locust scorpion army is also allegorized as Gog and Magog (Rev.20:7-8,9; Luke 21:20)

They are spiritual Gentiles...meaning that they are not spiritual Jews (the anointed) (Rom.2:28-29).

-- (Note: In comparing 2Chron.7:22 and Dan.11:38 above, can you see that those who forsake the God of their ancestors, are NOT worldly political governments? The "disgusting thing" is a sin of God's own people!)

These "Gentiles" first trample the HOLY City (directed and empowered to do so by the unfaithful Harlot)...

...And then the UNFAITHFUL City/Harlot gets trampled by those whom she used to direct and endorse.

The very Gentile Beast who served the Harlot and gave her the power to judge and destroy Christ's brothers (by means of her Gentile Beast -Rev.11:7; 13:15), will then turn on "her" (Rev.17:16-17).

So then, what about Luke 21:20?

When we see the chosen ones "surrounded" by Gentiles, due to the Gentile's desire to conquer the Holy Ones (Rev.13:7; Luke 21:20-21);
then it is time to flee.
They will not stop with their condemnation of the least of Christ's brothers.
God will also put it into their heart to turn on the "greatest" of his brothers also...
those who have taken power in this world to dominate and oppress their fellow slaves 
(Matt.24:49;  1Cor.4:8,10,12-13,18-19; Luke 16:2; Rev.18:7-8,14,18,20;  1John2:15; Dan.11:37-38).

To clarify this, Matt.24:15-16 supplements Luke 21:20-21.
Note what Jesus said, at Matt.24:15-16...
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains."
If you examine the context to Matt.24:15,16 and Luke 21:20,21; You will see that they are identical.
It is no mistake to combine these two scriptures.
So then,
to see "Jerusalem" surrounded by Gentiles (Luke 19:43), is associated with a "disgusting thing, standing in a Holy Place". We are directed by Jesus to examine Daniel for understanding this disgusting thing (Matt.24:15).

   The "abomination"/"disgusting thing", conquers the Remnant of Holy Ones,  
   just as the "Wild Beast" does (Rev.13:7,18). These are two of many scriptural
   manifestations of the same identity.
WHEN YOU SEE/perceive THIS REALITY,
IT IS TIME TO FLEE
, according to Jesus (Matt.24:15-16; Luke 21:20-21).
The attack and expulsion of the faithful and them fleeing to the Judean Mountains in the wilderness, is then followed by the collapse of the entire unfaithful "City"/"Temple", just as occurred in first century Jerusalem.

Jesus tells us, in reference to this fleeing,
"On that day, let no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it." (Luke 17:31-33)
 

If you, or anyone, perceives the anointed being surrounded, trampled, dominated, subverted, and enslaved to those not anointed (Gentiles)...
or if you perceive that God's Temple priesthood has been given over to those not chosen by God for that position
(Eze.44:6-7,8-9;  2 Chronicles 23:6-7; Numbers 18:7; Mal.2:7),
[such as non-anointed elders who disfellowship anointed who remain faithful to Christ and scriptural truth (Rom.8:33; John 16:2; Matt.25:40) (Rom.8:33;  1Cor.6:1-2,3)],
then you see the disgusting thing, "where it does not belong" (Mark.13:14)!

The Wild Beast/locust-scorpions/man of lawlessness/disgusting thing...
is willing to take over God's Temple priesthood, and "kill" them for the ruling Harlot, because she is the "bestower of crowns"/(power/authority) (Isa.23:8; Rev.9:3,7).
 Apparently, the cowardice of the Harlot prevents her from directly confronting her brothers in Christ. She refuses to meet with them personally over these differences of opinion. (Matt.18:25; Isa.50:8; 54:17; Luke 10:19). The scriptures must prevail in all matters of judgment. Yet the elders and GB do not want to hear the scriptures. They are only interested in whether or not you are in subjection to them and that you worship the Organization. The Harlot sends her henchmen to enforce the idolatry.
If you do not submit,
you will be "killed" (Rev.13:15; 11:7; John 16:2; Rev.6:9-10,11; 12:10-11; 20:4).

This splitting and division between the remnant of the Chosen Ones (Matt.13:30), is the whole essence of Armageddon [1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15-16; 17:14; 19:11,14,8 -(Rev.6:11; 3:5) Rev.19:19-20]. 
This warfare is "necessary" (1Cor.11:18-19; Matt.24:6), to complete the harvest of the "earth" (Rev.14:15-16; Matt.24:6; Dan.9:26; Gen.3:15) and the impeachment of Satan (Rev.12:10-11; 6:9).
