Part I -- "Invited" and "Chosen" at the "Marriage Feast"

Please don't take this as picking, but "many are Invited but few are chosen". 
"Chosen" are those who have passed all tests. 
Pearl, you should say, "Invited ones will either pass or fail Satan's sifting".
After that sifting, then they are "Chosen", and thus then fit to be Yhwh's Witnesses ---not before. 
Otherwise, all Invited could be called "Chosen", 
and they are not. :-) "

I assume you are referring to Matt.22:14?
If so, I am glad you brought this up, because the "Watchtower" has never taught the distinction between the choosing which takes place within the marriage feast, and the "calling", choosing, and sealing of the faithful which God does when he inducts a member of Christ's body (2Pet. 1:10; Rev.17:14). 
God has made many kinds of choices toward individuals, both spirit and human, as well as toward groups.
Not all of God's choices (choosing) are the same one.  I hope to clarify the difference between these two particular choices of God, and those who are chosen in each setting...how they differ from each other, and how they overlap. This Part I will clarify the "choosing" which takes place at Matt.22:14 within the marriage feast.
Part II will clarify the "choosing" of Christ's Bride, and when the Chosen Ones of Christ's body are expected by God, to begin to bear witness about Him.

We should begin by going to the context of Matt.22:14, to get an overall view of the parable. Please read it.

All Jesus' parables about this prophetic Feast, as well as all scriptures related to it, must be cohesive and harmonious. They will be, if our interpretation of each of them, is accurate.

We learn from Jesus' reference to the marriage feast at Matthew chapter 22, that there were initial invitees to His Father's spiritual feast (Matt.22:2,3). These can correspond to the ten virgins, who knew enough to wait in attendance for the arrival of the Bridegroom, so that they could enter this Feast with him (Matt.25:1,6,7). These then, were among the initial invitees to the marriage feast. As it turns out, "half" of them were not worthy of their invitation (Matt.25:3,8,9,10,11,12,13) and were later turned away by the Bridegroom (2John 1:10,11;  2Cor. 11:3,4;  2Thess. 2:10;  2John. 1:10).
  Did they become anointed virgins when they were invited to the feast?...when the Bridegroom arrived?...or when they went inside the feast? Or, were they such before their invitation to the feast, their admittance, or before the Bridegroom's arrival? 
Did they have lamps to shed light before they entered the feast, or did they receive them inside?
Is being chosen as a spiritual virgin, the same as being chosen inside the marriage feast?

The foolish virgins were not shut out because they were shining their witness lamps previous to being chosen inside the feast, or as you put it...
after they prove faithful..."then they are "Chosen", and thus then fit to be Yhwh's Witnesses ---not before." 
They were shut out due to their choice of light-source. When they later arrived and spoke to the Bridegroom, he did not acknowledge them as invited to the marriage feast, any longer. Their invitation was revoked, because their contribution to the illumination inside, was now unfit for inclusion.
There is no room for darkness, inside the spiritual feast of God (Matt.6:22,23; Isa.5:20; Luke 11:35;  1John 1:6).

The five wise virgins, "brought receptacles" filled with oil along with their burning lamps. What is the "receptacle" that holds "oil"? We learn that at Luke 6:45...
"The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart."
The light an anointed virgin shines, comes from her heart. This is the source of life (Prov.4:23), and where the truth is cultivated (Luke 8:11,15). That truth comes up from the heart and forth through our lips (Luke 6:45 C), like light from a lamp, to shine on all in the house (Luke 8:16,17,18; Matt.5:15,16)..
What is the fuel that keeps such a heart, burning with the light of truth?
The wise virgins, kept within their heart (receptacle), their original provision of Holy Spirit ("Oil") (1Cor. 6:19;  1John 2:24,27,28;  1Cor. 2:13), sourced in their anointing. They let no one take it from them (1John 2:26;  2Cor. 11:2,3,4,20,12,13,14,15;  2Pet. 3:17,14; Rev.14:5,4; 3:4,11). Holy Spirit remained the source of their light (John 8:12; 1:4;  2Cor. 4:6).

Not so the foolish virgins. They became dependent upon those who sell oil as the source of their light (Matt.25:8,9,10; Rev.13:17). Their speech is sourced in the spirit they paid for, bought in exchange for their chastity to Christ (2Cor. 11:2,3,4; Rom.1:25,28). They became indebted to, and soiled by, a system of spiritual commerce (Matt.21:12,13; Isa.28:10; Eze.17:4; Nahum 3:16; Rev.18:23), and had surrendered their virginity and freedom of speech for Christ. 
These foolish Chosen ones, are those who will have taken from them, even what they only imagine they have paid for and gained (Luke 8:18; 12:19,20; Rev.3:17,18; Eze.7:12,18; Rev.13:17,8,7).

If we return to the marriage parable, we see the evening continues after the five foolish virgins are sorted and rejected (Matt.25:11,12), and many of those originally invited (to the spiritual feast), have been rejected, and judged (Matt.22:7,8).
Many of the newly invited who gain entrance, are considered unrighteous/"bad" (Matt.22:8,9,10). These are not members of the foolish virgins, nor of the wise/Bride. They are "anyone" God's servants find, "leaving the City".
     At Matt.22:9, the Greek actually says specifically...
       "diexodous"

         ...that although it is often translated ("street corners", "broad way", etc.),
         it is those who are already on the road "leaving" the City (Rev.17:18), which are invited to
         this end-time spiritual feast of truth.
Now these ones also become invited wedding guests. Does this mean that they are now "unrighteous"/"bad" anointed... selected by God to be candidate priests and kings? 
No, all virgins have already been sorted, judged, and sealed as to whose commerce they belong (Rev.3:18; Isa.55:1,2), and whose provisions they will receive (Rev.21:6; John 4:14; Rev.22:17; 19:9).
No, these "unrighteous" invitees are simply invited to have a share in a very special meal (Matt.22:9). They are among the "many invited" of Matt.22:14. Of all the newly invited that fill the Hall with guests (Matt.22:10)...there are only a few chosen virgins who entered in the company of the Bridegroom (Matt.25:10).
Yet what of those who are "chosen" inside the feast, from among the throngs (including "bad") who were evacuating from the "City" and invited off the streets?
Who will become the smaller group of those "chosen", among the "invitees" in this particular setting?

Well we get our first clue by seeing someone invited into this feast, but not "chosen". 
He is thrown out, due to not wearing the proper attire (Matt.22:11,12,13). The required wedding garment is Love and respect toward the Bride and Groom (Col.3:14,15,16,12), who have a right to expect peaceful, respectful behaviour... gratitude and appreciation for what has been prepared, honor, and humble receptiveness toward the true light of Christ (Rom.13:14,13; Gal.3:27; Eph.4:24; Col.3:10). 
  The opposite of that would be contention, criticism, disrespect, finding fault, and grumbling. 
What Host would continue to welcome such a guest? 
In this parable, the Host is Almighty God, His Son, and His new Daughter. These are who the guests must show loving honor to... Their Hosts who are providing and offering the Feast...
The Father of the Bridegroom (James 1:17; Isa.65:13; 1:19; Matt.22:2,4; Isa.25:6; Ps.36:8; 46:4-5; Rev.22:1; Isa.60:14; Rev.3:9), 
the Bridegroom (Isa.55:1-2; John 7:37; 4:13-14; 6:35,51,55,63), 
and the Bride (Rev.22:17; John 13:20). 
  If those invited come to partake of this spiritual feast, and show a lack of loving respect for it's Hosts, they will lose out on the provisions of life...and be "thrown into the darkness outside" (Matt.22:13).
Does this mean that the "bad" (Matt.22:10) cannot be graced with spirit and understanding? No.
Even among the "bad" invitees to the marriage feast;
God does not reproach, but will give Holy spirit and understanding to those who sincerely and humbly ask for, and accept it 
(James 1:5; Luke 11:13).

The table is set (Matt.22:4). The nourishing provisions are ready to be taken and delighted in.
There are a wide variety of guests... each with their own palate, preferences, and ability to appreciate what is offered. What is yet needed for the guests to truly benefit from all that is presented?

Knowing that this wedding feast is not literal food, but spiritual...
what is needed for someone to benefit from God's spiritual provisions placed before them?
Well we know the one thrown out did not benefit, due to a lack of humility, respect, appreciation, and love. Why? 
What do these characteristics have to do with deriving benefit from spiritual food? 

"At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight." (Matt.11:25)
"The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, "'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!" (Mark 4:11,12)

Of all those... righteous and unrighteous, who have been invited to partake of the marriage feast,
not all will understand and benefit from what is before them. Why? What do they require in order to derive the full benefit?
Jesus referred to what is necessary for understanding....
"However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love Him--
these are the things God has revealed to us  by  his  Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God." (1Cor. 2:9,10)
"But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." (John 14:26)

Who is it that decides that the humble and child-like will receive Holy Spirit, so that they can grasp and benefit from the Marriage Feast?
"Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven." (Matt.16:17)

So when we read at Matt.22:14, that God "invites" "many" to the marriage feast, but only chooses a few among those invited...
what do you think they are being "chosen" for?
Within the setting and parable of the marriage feast, they are chosen by God to be capable of understanding the spiritual feast placed before them, with all the benefit that results from it,
or not (Matt.7:14; 22:14). 

Those invited to the marriage feast, are offered the true words of God (Rev.19:9NIV ; John 16:13; Rev.1:1; 22:6; 10:7).
Yet understanding and appreciating what's offered, is still up to God, who chooses to whom He reveals that life-giving spiritual light. [(John 12:40) or (2Cor. 4:6; Luke 24:45) (Matt.13:11; John6:44; 14:6)]
It is not enough to be present at the feast, nor to be exposed to it's provisions.
Not all who look over the dishes, nor partake of each course, will appreciate it's true value, nor even understand it. 
God chooses which invited guests will have their eyes and ears opened to understand the final sacred secrets of God (Dan.12:4,9; Rev.5:1; 22:10; Isa.29:18; 1:19) 
(Isa.65:13; Hosea 4:10,11; Micah 2:11; Amos 8:11,12; Rev.6:6; 18:8,3,4)
The marriage feast "invitation" is open to all, not just anointed (Matt.22:8,9,10).
The "dishes" are within reach of the entire world, including all those anointed and originally invited. 

  To gain spiritual entry to, partake of, and benefit from the marriage feast; holy spirit is required. The foolish virgins will not have the spirit required for insight and perception into God's deep, final mysteries. Because they have exchanged their chastity for a different spirit/source of oil, they will remain in the darkness outside, shut out from light of God 

(Isa.29:11,12; Mark 4:12;  2Thess. 1:9).
Those "leaving the City" in particular, are given a late invitation to partake of the meal.
But not all who are exposed to the marriage feast, will be "chosen" to understand  it.

This has nothing to do with being chosen as member of Christ's Bride.
Such chosen virgins can lose their chastity, even after they are so selected (John 6:70;  1Cor. 6:15,16;  2Cor. 11:3; Rev.17:2). 
I will cover this more, in Part II.

The scriptures have recorded for us an actual incident which occurred with Jesus. I believe it can augment the understanding of God's "choosing" within the Marriage Feast parable.

26 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe." (John 6:26-32,36)

Jesus was the visible host, who provided physical bread to the crowd. They followed after him for more of that food "that spoils". Jesus told them that they should have seen the significance behind the miracle (John 6:26), to the fact that, through the signs he performed, it was proven that God was bearing witness about Jesus (John 8:18; 5:36; 7:31; 2:23; 10:37,38)... that Jesus was approved by God to be His channel of food "that endures to eternal life". 

What did the individuals in that crowd need to do to benefit from such spiritual food? 
Jesus answered, "Believe in the one he has sent." (John 6:28,29), according to the witness God was already providing, which miraculous bread, they themselves ate. 
They also needed to recognize, that when such spiritual food is provided, it is not from Christ, nor from Moses, nor from the Bridegroom, nor from the Bride, nor from the Virgins.... but that God is the ultimate source (Matt.22:2; Rev.5:7; Rev.19:9NIV ; John 15:15). 

Those who attend the marriage feast have the same choice of faith before them.
They will see the Virgins, both the wise and the foolish. They will see God's own testimony, given in and through, the fulfillment of the signs which were prophesied by God, to occur. 
The crowd who ate literal bread from Jesus saw that miraculous sign, and yet, they still did not believe that he was the source of heavenly bread (John 6:36).
Will the Father bless such faithless invitees of the marriage feast with His Holy Spirit, that they might share in the opening of the seven seals? Does He first require the "garment" of love, humility, faith, appreciation and respect?

The events of John chapter six, continue...
"41 At this the Jews there began to grumble about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” 42 They said, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?”
43 “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. 44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from him comes to me. 65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.” (John 6:41-45,65)
So once again we see, that unless the Father *chooses* to enable someone by means of His Holy Spirit (Dan.12:10);
they are unable to taste and digest the living bread that endures to eternal life. Neither are they able to ingest, understand, and benefit from, the marriage feast.

We saw that although Jesus was before the crowd, offering spiritual bread from heaven that could result in eternal life;
not many were capable of appreciating the provision of God, due to a lack of faith in God's messenger.
How might that happen, when God's prophets serve the marriage feast, under the direction of the Bridegroom and his Father?

It is one thing to enjoy literal bread appearing from the hand of a carpenter's son, and another to heed the words of the Son of God due to faith in him (John 10:26).
It is one thing to enjoy a consideration of prophetic understanding (1Cor. 14:15; Eze.33:32), 
and another to accept and heed a prophet, because you have tested (1John 4:1,6; Matt.7:20), and believe they are a prophet of God (Matt.10:41; Jer.26:5; John 13:20). 
It is one thing to read a blog written by a self-professed prophet, 
and another to discern, accept, and appreciate that the provisions before you are sourced in God's Word of Truth (1Pet. 4:11; John 16:13; 8:47), God's spirit (Matt.10:20; Eph.6:17), and are the "true words of God", which is the marriage feast.

The "invitation" to the marriage feast is open to "all leaving the city" in the time of the end (Eph.3:5; Dan.12:4; Matt.13:12; John 16:13; Rev.10:7; 21:6).
To benefit from that invitation and the provisions that follow, one must be chosen to understand it, by means of God's spirit (1Cor. 2:10; John 14:26; Ps.36:9). 
That spirit is only given to those who have clothed themselves with love, faith, humility, appreciation, and respect.
To partake of God's table; those invited must also NOT be partaking of the table of demons 
(1Cor. 10:21;  2Thess. 2:9,10,11; Jer.5:31) such as the 5 foolish virgins choose to do 
(Matt.25:9,10 A; Rev.13:17,18; 16:13,14,15;  1Tim. 4:1;  Luke 11:35; Col.2:8; Rev.13:10,7,8).
Based upon these requirements, those who are chosen to understand the final sacred secrets of God, will be "few", 
despite the "banquet hall" being "filled" with invitees (Matt.22:10,14).

Judgment of "Heaven" and "Earth"

May I ask your understanding with regards to Revelation 7:9-17  ---the great multitude that no man could count / number?  Are they a heavenly class or an earthly class or a mix of the two? My initial thought was that the earthly class are those who inherit the earth."

MY REPLY:
Please read the scriptures as you come to them. This is where most of the information is found.

At first this may sound confusing, but I will explain.

The Great Multitude (Great Crowd) are "heavenly" (but not in a physical sense), and "earthly" (in a physical sense now and later when on earth, within God's Kingdom). 

They are of righteous earth (= Israel)

(Isa.66:1; 60:13; Eze.43:7; 37:26; Ps.132:7; Matt.5:35; John 14:23; Rev.14:3; 7:4)

in a spiritual sense, before they are sealed and before being included in the 144000 and in the Great Crowd (which is a part of the 144000). 

Once sealed in the designation of "Great Crowd", they are a segment of the "144000". 

The 144000 do inherit the planet earth and all the good creation upon it; which is what was given to all righteous mankind in the first place (Ps.115:16). 

Adam lost it (Gen.1:26,27,28,29; 3:13,17,18,19; Hosea 6:7). 

The second Adam then inherits it, along with his "144000" "righteous" brothers (1Cor. 15:45; Ps.2:7,8; Rev.5:10; Ps.37:11,29; Rev.19:8). 

Through Christ's ambassador brothers/"bride" covenant (2Cor. 5:20), there is healing to the rest of creation (Rev.22:2; 21:3,4; Rom.8:19,21; Rev.22:17).

"Heavenly" must not be viewed in a physical sense. It is a spiritual existence (Rom.8:9) (Heb.11:16; Luke 10:20; Rev.21:2; 3:12; Heb.12:22,23;  1Pet. 1:23), which can occur now, while the physical body is in the earthly realm. 

Those born again while in the physical earth, can also possess an invisible spirit within them (Rom.8:9;  1Pet. 1:23; Luke 8:11,15) at the same time, just as Christ did following his resurrection (1Pet. 3:18; John 20:19,24,25,26,27;  1Cor. 15:6), and just as angels who appeared on earth (Gen.18:2,16,17,20,21,22,33; Num.22:31; etc..

These materialized angels did not stop being spirit beings while in a physical body.

Jesus, as the fulfillment of Abraham's seed (Gal.3:16), inherits the earth (Ps.2:7,8). He applies his ransom to those in the New Covenant (Rev.5:9,10), sharing the inheritance of the earth with them (Matt.25:34). They also then become Abraham's seed, and heirs of the earth (Gal.3:26,29; Gen.13:14,15; 28:14; Rom.8:17; Heb.2:5,16).

The "Watchtower" teaches that once the "144000" are resurrected upon their deaths, they enter a place not on earth, called heaven, as spirit beings exclusively, and never return to earth. This is not what the Bible teaches.

The Greek and Hebrew for "resurrected" simply means to "stand again", as in standing before God for judgment. 

We stood before God under our father Adam's sin, and stood condemned to death. The physical is the first life and death.

We stand again when we are given life again, spiritually (John 5:24;  1Pet. 1:23), and are re-tested by Satan while in that living condition. Our second standing before God, will judge us according to the teachings of Christ (John 12:48; Rev.20:12). Chosen ones will either pass or fail Satan's sifting (Luke 22:31; Rev.12:17; 2:10). Those who pass (during their physical lifetime) and endure in declaring truth, are then sealed as approved slaves of God, and enter life (John 5:24,25,26,21;  1John 3:14).

Once we have gained God's permanent approval (sealed as His slaves, on "forehead" -Rev.14:1; Deut.11:18), we have passed over from death-vulnerable, to eternal life in spirit....from being merely physical dying beings, to possessing an eternal spirit within. 

For the faithful and sealed chosen, this occurs during this life now (2Cor. 6:2; John 11:26).

These are considered "heavenly ones", even if they never left the planet. 

"Heavenly" is a designation of rulership, authority, and power in the spirit realm.... not a physical place (Rev.3:21; Eph.2:6). 

The Chosen occupy a "heavenly" throne, while on earth (Rev.5:10; 1:6; 20:6). If faithful with that "little", temporary authority (Luke 10:19;  2Cor. 5:20; Matt.16:19; John 20:23; Matt.25:14;  1Cor. 4:1,2; Luke 12:35; Rev.20:6 C -"thousand years"), they will be given all the Master's belongings (Luke 12:37,43,44).... All Creation (Matt.28:18; Luke 16:10,11) when God's eternal Kingdom arrives (Dan.7:22,18). 

A sealed priest's faithful work, includes being physically present within the earth, both now and later....

Even after God's kingdom arrives, the "144000" will enjoy their inheritance of the earth, by spending most of their time here, as they serve God (Gen.28:10,11,12,13,14; Gal.3:29; Rev.21:2; John 1:51; Heb.2:5,16).

"Heavenly class" and "earthly class" are misleading "Watchtower" slogans. 

We also must accept the Bible's teaching, that there are more than one heaven and earth.... 

"heaven" and "earth" of a corrupted creation---

[These are under Satan and his wife-like mother covenant of Death -Isa.28:15; Rev.17:5; Gal.4:24. The "heavens" and "earth" which are passing away, includes the Harlot and Wild Beast (ruling heavens) and those slave marked by them (earth)]

---and heaven and earth of the New Creation through Christ  (and his wife-like bride covenant of life -Gal.4:26; Rev.12:2).

So, there are two earthly groups. One is passing away (2Pet. 3:10,11,12,13). And there are two heavenly groups, even now, and one is passing away. 

They pass away due to their failing their resurrection.... their second judgment standing before God, after having gained life (Heb.6:4,5,6; 10:26,27). Those who fail this final judgment, enter into the "second death" (Rom.9:28; Heb.6:4,5,6,8; Matt.25:41,30; 7:23;  2Pet. 2:10; Jude 1:8; Matt.25:42,45; 24:49; Micah 2:11; Isa.28:7; Rev.18:3; Jer.51:7; 13:13) (Mal.4:1;  2Pet. 3:7; Luke 12:49; Nahum 1:6; Jer.23:29; Hosea 6:5; Rev.11:5; 2:27; 20:10,14,15; 13:8) (Jer.5:30,31;  2Thess. 2:11,12).

According to all the descriptions the Bible gives the Great Crowd, they are defined scripturally as members of God's Chosen Priesthood... the last remnant of them to come through the time of the end.

These are the ones that prove faithful after Satan's release from the abyss.... which is why they are given special mention. (Rev.20:7,8,9; Luke 21:20 Matt.24:15; Luke 21:24; Rev.11:2; Matt.24:21; Rev.7:14) (Matt.24:22; Luke 13:23; Matt.7:14; Luke 21:36; 13:24; Matt.25:11,12; Isa.10:22; Rev.14:19,20)

I am overwhelmed and shaking since I found your blog. I studied and was baptized into the Witnesses faith and served as an elder until recently. I need to find God's truth and serve Him eternally, NOT an organisation. What would you advise I do?

Dear Reader,
Although I do realize how shocked and perhaps horrified you are feeling, at your realization of today's spiritual realities; 
you may wish to reflect upon the expectations we all had as "Jehovah's Witnesses", which was of an impending "Great Tribulation" (Matt.24:21,22; Luke 13:23,24; Matt.7:13,14) and "the War of the Great Day of God the Almighty" (Rev.16:14; 17:14; 20:8). 

The quaking adjustment we now need to make in our understanding; is that these prophetic events are not to take place the way in which we were previously taught by the wicked steward (1Thess.5:3; 2Thess.2:1,2,3,4; Micah 3:5,3; Jer.6:13,14,15; 3:3). This is because as a whole, "Jehovah's Witnesses" are not receiving "the proper food at the proper time" as they fatally assume. The feelings you are experiencing, also have been prophesied to occur, in those who awaken and are granted accurate perception 
(Eze.38:19; Joel 3:16; Haggai 2:6,7; Rev.11:13; 16:18; Luke21:25,26; Isa.40:30,31) (Matt.13:14,15,16).

For this reason, despite your horror at what you now perceive,
both you and I have great reason to rejoice. You are beginning to gain a vital understanding of the authentic fulfillment of the prophesied "Great Tribulation" and "Armageddon". You have been counted worthy to be offered life, and an invitation to the marriage feast! (Matt.22:8,9,10; Rev.22:17; 19:9)
Of course, that conclusion is not for anyone to tell you; but for you to conclude after testing out all that is offered to you 
(1John4:1; Matt.7:20; 24:4,5,24,25)....both here at my blog, and at the blogs of other anointed slaves of Christ, who have already been "killed" (John16:2) in fulfillment of prophecy (Rev.6:9,10,11; 11:7; 13:15; 12:10,11; 20:4; Mark8:35; etc.).

While we must not worship the Wild Beast Organization (Rev.13:8; 19:20; Eze.14:10),
God DOES have a "mountain"....a spiritual one. 
It is ZION, and IT is the place of proper worship "in spirit and truth", just as prophesied at Isa.2:2,3 and Rev.14:1.

It is organized, according to the divine arrangement, of Eph.2:20,21,22,10; 4:11,12 and 1Cor.12:12,14,18,27,28. 
It is God's spiritual Temple (Isa.2:2), established in the heavens (Heb.8:5; 9:24; 12:22,23; 1Cor.3:16,9). 
That temple...
       [from it's founding "cornerstone" (Ps.118:22; Eph.2:20)

There is where you can find living waters, contained within their "fruit" (Luke 6:44,45)

Satan's Fall --- When?

Jesus told us when Satan fell from heaven, and how. It was not 1914, as a recent article by the "Watchtower" asserts.

"The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions (Eze.2:6; Matt.23:33) and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke10:17,18,19,20)
Jesus seeing Satan fall in the first century, is in the past tense. Satan is the "enemy". He and the demons, then had to "submit" to the apostles. Now the apostles names were "written in heaven". 
"Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." (Matt.28:18)

While their work subjugated Satan and the demons (fall from heaven); the apostles replaced them in this raised position...
"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus," (Eph.2:6; Rev.3:21)
Both Christ, and his faithful chosen ones, began ruling in the first century, for a symbolic "Thousand Years" (Rev.5:10; John20:23; Rev.20:4 --click to read whole verse). During the "Thousand Years", Satan was restrained from overcoming the light (1Pet.2:9; John1:5; Matt.5:14), by his being "chained" within the confines of darkness;... And his "heads" (Deut.28:13; Matt.4:8; Rev.17:9), unable to breach and trample the light (Acts5:29), among it's sons (John12:36; 1Thess.5:5) (Jer.5:22; Ps.74:13; Gen.3:15; Rom.16:20; Rev.20:2,3; 5:9c; Rev.7:9). 
That restraint and trampling of Satanic deception, was initially accomplished by the work of Christ in the first century (John1:5; 16:33; 12:31; 1Cor.1:28; 2Tim.1:10; 1John3:8; Heb.2:14,15,16; John10:10; Rev.1:18; 20:1,2,3), and subsequently, the war between Truth and Lies continued, through the members of faithful "Zion" (Eph.6:12; Rom.13:12; Ps.110:1,2; Rev.14:1). The faithful were not overcome by darkness, during Satan's restraint (Matt.28:20; 2Cor.13:5; John12:35,36). When the "conclusion of the age" arrives (Matt.28:20); the final remnant ("remaining ones") are overcome, due to the fall of their leading steward/false prophet (Rev.16:13), and his releasing of Satanic deception for a "short time" ("short time" -- Rev.12:12; 20:3) after he receives the "key" to open the abyss of darkness (Luke12:42; Rev.8:10,11; 9:1,2,3,10,11; 13:15; 19:20; Jer.9:15; 23:15; 2:13; 7:13; 19:4; Dan.11:37,38; Rev.13:8). Those who are overreached (2Cor.2:11; 11:3; Luke22:31; 1Pet.5:8) by these "lying signs" (2Thess.2:9; Rev.13:15,2; Matt.4:9), must be released from their present captivity (Rev.12:17; 13:10,7), and also overcome the wicked one (1John2:13,14; Rom.8:37; Rev.3:21; 12:11)... no longer being deceived by his deceptions (1Pet.2:9; 1Thess.5:5; Eph.5:8) through the false prophet (wicked steward/harlot -Isa.1:21; Matt.23:34,35; Rev.18:24; John16:2; Rev.6:9,11) and it's Gentile Beast (Rev.13:15; 11:7).

When Satan is released, the Great Tribulation begins, and the remaining ones ARE overcome (Rev.13:1,7,10; 9:1,2,3,10; Eze.2:6; 2Cor.12:7; Luke10:20) (Isa.5:5; Jer.9:7; 12:10,11; Eze.22:30; Jer.23:1,2; Dan.8:10,11,12,13; Luke21:24; Matt.24:15,16; Rev.11:2; 13:7,10; Zech.1:14,15,16), for a time (Rev.20:7; 13:1; 20:9; Luke21:20; Dan.8:12,13,14) (Rev.12:15,6; 11:3,5; Jer.5:14; Rev.20:9).
Their being overcome by Satanic deception, is the reason why when Christ arrives, they need to be refined (Mal.3:1,2,3; Rev.3:17,18; Zech.13:9; Rev.9:18,20,21; 8:7; 1Pet.1:7,8; Num.31:23; 1Cor.3:13,14; 2Cor.5:10; John12:48; Rev.20:12). A remnant will be refined by the fire of God's Word (Jer.23:29; Matt.3:11), when the spirit of Truth, arrives (John16:13; Rev.22:6; 1:1,2; 10:7). 
After their release (John8:32; Luke4:18; Isa.49:9; Rev.18:4), they will battle at Christ's side (Rev.6:2; 19:11,14; 17:14; 2:26,27; 12:7; Dan.12:1,3; Phil.2:15; Eph.6:12; 2Cor.10:3,4,5; Rev.3:21; 5:10; 20:4,6; 2Tim.2:12) in the spirit of the truth (Rev.19:15; 3:14; John14:17; Eph.6:17; Heb.4:12; Luke10:19; 2Cor.10:5).
Once Satan was released from the abyss (Rev.20:7,8); the lying spirit of demons were released with him (Rev.16:13,14,15,16), and the Great Tribulation/Test  began. Satan and his agents seek out and battle against the Truth (Rev.17:14; 13:15,16,17,18,8,7) and it's agents (Rev.12:17,7; 20:9; 16:14; Mark8:35). The spiritual battle that results, is Armageddon.

666 / 144,000

A QUESTION:

Pearl, what does 144,000 and 666 mean? How can mankind practically apply these numbers and their meaning in their lives?

MY REPLY:

Since we pointedly receive the numbers 144,000 and 666 from the scriptures, we should seek a deeper understanding of these numbers, from the same place.
First I would like to point out, that worshipers of the Wild Beast, are marked with 666, on their hand and forehead (see Rev.13:16-17,18,15,8).
What does it mean to possess the symbolic mark of 666?
Well, what does it means to be marked with anything on the hand and forehead, since the slaves of God are also marked in these same places, though not by 666 (Rev.7:3; 14:1; 22:4).

I find Deut.6:4,6,8 and Deut.11:18, the most telling...
"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Tie them as symbols on your hands and on your foreheads."
When our hearts are filled with God's Laws (Heb.10:16), it is seen symbolically as on our forehead ("I will write them on their minds"). 
Our marked "hands", (symbolizing what we do); and our marked "forehead" (symbolizing what we think, believe, and decide how to conduct ourselves), are then directed by God. Those faithful to God's New Covenant (Heb.10:16), will have a spiritual mark, that identifies them as loyal from the heart, to God's Laws, commands, and directives. 
[That mark is seen, only in the spirit realm. Yet this distinction is observable in the physical realm,
  by examining a prophet's deeds/actions (hands), and teaching/decisions/conduct (mind)
  -(Mal.3:18; Eze.14:23,22; Matt.7:20)]

To be directed by and obedient to God's Laws, is to be a slave of God (and His Laws). This brings us back to the symbolism of Rev.7:3 and Rev.22:3 B, Rev.22:4...
“Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the slaves of our God.” 
"...his slaves will serve Him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads."

Here's the tie between obeying God's word, and being his branded slave/servant...
"Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient, you are slaves of the one you obey —whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 

But thanks be to God that, though you were previously slaves to sin"... [branded with "666" and by the "man/person of  sin/lawlessness" >  1John 3:4;  2Thess.2:3; Rev.13:18], "you have come to obey from your heart (Deut. 6:6; Heb.10:16) the pattern of teaching [God's Laws] that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness." (Rom.6:16-17,18). 

"Slaves to righteousness" is the opposite of 

slaves to sin/lawlessness, ...or is also the opposite of an obedient slave to the "man of sin" -1John 3:4;  2Thess.2:3; Rev.13:18;  1Cor.15:56; Rom.8:2; Rev.9:5; Eze.2:6.

Okay, now back to the numbers.
The obedient slaves/worshipers of the Beast, have their hands and foreheads so designated, by the number 666.
As we learned about God's Laws marking the hands and forehead... The Beast's directive Laws, spiritually found on the forehead and hand are represented by the symbolic mark, 666. First, we need to know what the numeral 6 means. 
We can learn that meaning, after we know what 12 means.

Are not God's Laws which brand His servants, declared to be the truth?
"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth." (John 17:17)
So if our minds, hearts, and deeds are directed by God's Laws, they are directed by and obedient to, Divine Truth.
What number would symbolically designate servants of divine truth?
The numeral 12 is constantly associated with the foundation and outworking of divine truth....
12 apostles, 12 tribes of Israel, 12,000 in each tribe...
the "measurements" (Isa.28:17) of God's City of Truth (Zech.8:3; Rev.21:16,27)...

"Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. No lie was found in their mouths" (Rev.14:1,5)
[144,000 is equal to 12 X 12 times a thousand]

If the divine truth found in God's Words/Laws, is associated with the numeral 12, 
take note of another number which is associated with truth...
"In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true." (John 8:17)
"And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.” 
If anyone tries to harm them (the two witnesses Rev.11:3,5),   fire comes from their mouths" (Rev.11:5 a)
"'Is not my word like fire?,' declares the LORD" (Jer.23:29 a)
"I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes" (Jer.5:14 b)
"for it will not be you speaking, but *the Spirit of your Father* speaking through you" (Matt.10:20) *(John 16:13)

Like Christ, the spirit of truth and the words of God issue forth from the mouths of God's "two witnesses" 

(Rev.2:16; 19:11,14; 17:14;  2Cor.10:4-5; Eph.6:17; Heb.4:12; Rev.2:16). 
Two witnesses, is a symbol of those who speak truth.

So, TWO witnesses can symbolize witnesses of truth, just as His people who obey God's truths, by the numeral 12.
What number would symbolize, one witness?
And what would one witness, signify?

If 12 is associated with 2 witnesses,
then one witness would be 6. (2x=12;  x=6)
According to the bible, one witness was to be regarded as false. (Deut.17:6 b; Deut.19:15; John 7:18; 5:31; 8:13,14,18; Num.35:30).
If six stands for lies (Satan is their source -John 8:44)
then where are 3 false witnesses? (6-6-6)

Check it out...
"Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, (1) out of the mouth of the beast (2), and out of the mouth of the false prophet (3). 

They are demonic spirits that perform... lying signs and portents" (Rev.16:13-14 a;  2Thess.2:9;  2Tim.3:13).

We learned that the spirit of God can symbolically speak through "two" truthful witnesses (Matt.10:20; John 14:17);
and the spirit of demons can speak through Satan, the Beast, and the false prophet (Rev.16:14)...all of whom are false witnesses/liars.

Any branded by their lies, are also false witnesses 

(Rev.13:16; Isa.44:20; Ps.144:8; Rom.1:25; Rev.13:8;  2Thess.2:11).

The servants of the false prophet and beast, are obedient to their false teaching, commands, and directives. Rather than being brand-marked as slaves of God, their minds and hearts are captivated and enslaved to the convincing, lying signs and portents of demonic spirits (Rev.13:13-14,15;  1Tim.4:1).

I feel the following affords some confirmation to this interpretation of 6, 12, and 144, as follows...
There are "24 elders" and "12 tribes" (Rev.7:5-8; 4:4).
This means that each tribe has two elders.
If the 12 tribes are 144000, then each tribe amounts to 12,000 (Rev.7:5).

There are 24 elders over 12 tribes, which is 2 elders per tribe and each elder has spiritual authority over 6,000. There are two groups of 6,000 which is half of 12,000 per tribe.

There must be 12,000 in each tribe, and there must be 2 elders assigned to each tribe ...not 6,000, and not one elder, because both 1 witness and 6, signify untruth. 
Two and twelve are needed, 

not because these numbers are literal, but because the spiritual Truth they signify/symbolize, is essential 
(Rev.14:5; Eph.5:27; Rev.19:7-8;  1Cor.1:6,8).

Those who are obedient from the heart to the demonic spirits of the dragon, wild beast, and false prophet; are so designated by having their hands and foreheads symbolically branded as slaves to those three liars and the deceptive laws and decrees of those liars (Rev.13:17-18).
On the other hand, those obedient to Divine truth, are branded as obedient slaves to that truth (Deut.6:6,8; 11:18; Rev.22:3-4), and to the Divine Beings who are the source of it (Rev.7:3; 14:1,5).

As regards the final part of the question,

How can we make practical application of all this?

We must make certain that our service, obedience, and worship is to God alone. This is just as Jesus kept admonishing us (Matt.4:10; 22:36-37,38; Deut.10:12) 
(2Cor.13:5;  1John 4:1;  1Thess.5:21-22;  1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-14,15; 13:15,8;  2Thess.2:1-2,3-4,8-9,10-11,12-13,14-15)
We must make certain, that everything we believe, obey, and practice (symbolized by being branded on our forehead and right hand), is sourced in God's word of Truth.
Our minds, hearts, and deeds must be directed by and obedient to, God's Laws of Divine Truth. 
Only then are we marked as His slaves 

(1John 2:17; Rom.6:18,22; Rev.7:3; 22:3-4) as made evident to all dwelling in the spirit realm, and to those granted spiritual sight here and now.

A COMMENT that was left after "Salvation in question",
as follows:
"Jesus replied, ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery" " Does Jesus say that committing the act is wrong, but if another person we "love" is an unrepentant adulterer, we should permit it because they do it, but we don't? 
Its not just stopping it ourselves, its hating what is bad to such an extent that we wont tolerate it IN OUR LIVES. If our marriage mate unrepentantly continues to do this, it is flaunting it before Jah and Christ. We may not be an "adulterer", but we share the sin of it, if we tolerate it by our "love" for that one. Our "love" can only be for things in HARMONY with Christ's Love of righteousness."

MY REPLY:

If we wish to please God, we accept what His Word tells us about matters. We seek to act in the way His Word directs.

If someone we love is practicing sin, and we are a true, loyal, and obedient follower of Christ, we are grieved over the sins of our loved one. But we seek to respond to them, according to the way Christ directs.

First, we can neither permit nor not permit the sins of another. Each person has free will, and will do what they themselves choose.

If our mate asked our permission to commit adultery, then of course we must deny our permission in respect for God's Laws.

But normally, our mate does not ask permission to do such a thing. The innocent one should not be blamed for "permitting" the sin, when they had no influence, nor likely even knowledge, about the free will choices of the other.

God has not given us the right or power, to control the will of another, unless they are our child. Even with a child, our power and right to protect eventually ends as they become adults. Even God and Christ do not remove the freedom to choose. They give warnings to us, and hope for our integrity and the good consequences that brings. God and Christ are not to blame for "permitting" people to sin, and they have a lot more power than we do. That stain is on the one who desires wrong, and chooses it (James 1:14,15).

If our mate is committing the sin of adultery; Jesus gave us the option of leaving them (Matt.19:9).

However, leaving them is not mandatory. This is proven in the case of Hosea the prophet. God actually commanded him to have and keep an adulterous wife (Hosea 1:2; 3:1). Are we to believe that God was forcing this righteous prophet, to sin? (James 1:13)
God's own nation committed spiritual adultery against Him many times, and many times, He forgave them when they repented. This is a personal decision, that no one should judge.

Although it is lawful to leave an adulterous mate, we receive some more advice to consider, at  1Cor.10:23,24...

“'I have the right to do anything,' you say—but not everything is beneficial. 'I have the right to do anything'—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others."

According to Jesus, we have the right to leave an adulterous mate.

But this verse asks us to consider if such an action is "constructive" and "for the good of others".

What "constructive good" might come from staying with an adulterous mate?
The Bible itself tells us.

"And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. 16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?" (1Cor.7:13-14,15-16)

The advice of God's Word is, if an adulterous mate wants to continue living with us, the advantage to them should be considered.

If an adulterous mate wants to leave us, we are not under obligation to resist this, because again, we do not control the choices of another.

Within these verses, the "advantage" and "good of others" is defined. Through association with a believing mate, the sinner may over time, be "sanctified". In that case, the one we love may be "saved". What a fine reward for endurance through the heartache.

Jesus himself suffered at the hands of sinners (Luke 24:7). Why did he endure such injustice? 

1Pet.3:18 tells us;

"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

That reveals that Jesus was thinking about the "advantage" and "good of others", all of whom, were sinners deserving of death 

(Isa.53:5;  1Cor.15:3; Rom.6:23).

Jesus gave us many illustrations about forgiveness, and how our forgiving others effects God's forgiveness toward us.

We do well to keep this in mind (Matt.6:12,14,15).

We should never respond in vengeance, although admittedly, this is very difficult to control when we have been hurt so deeply. The God who can read each heart, is the only righteous judge when it comes to punishment (Rom.12:19; Prov.20:22; 19:11; Matt.5:39).

Such patient endurance does not mean that we love or condone the sin of adultery. We hate badness. But we humbly remember that we also were bad, and despite the sins others commit against us; we pray for them, their repentance, and their salvation. If we wish to avoid hypocrisy, we work in harmony with our prayers when dealing with a sinner (Rom.12:14,21,20). This may provoke their conscience to be pained toward repentance (Prov.25:22; Ps.120:4; 11:6; Heb.12:11; Isa.6:6,7) and made clean (Isa.6:7; Acts 24:16), 

when combined with our atoning prayers (Num.16:42,43,44,45,46,47,48; Rev.8:4; James 5:16).

Jesus said;

"You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous." (Matt.5:43-44,45)

The Bible never tells us that we should think so much of ourselves, that we do not tolerate the sins of others (Ec.7:9,16).

Jesus made a special effort to associate with sinners, because not only did they need his loving care the most (Matt.9:11,12,13),

they were also the most appreciative when they did repent.

"When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. 38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

“Tell me, teacher,” he said.

41 “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”

“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.

44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

"We may not be an "adulterer", but we share the sin of it, if we tolerate it by our "love" for that one, when our "love" can only be for things in HARMONY with Christ's Love of righteousness."

If we tolerate the sins of others; Is this not in imitation of God and Christ, who have shown great patience toward sinners ? 

(Ps.103:10;  2Pet.3:9,15; Rom.2:4; 5:6,7,8; 6:23; Eze.33:11;  1Tim.2:4)

 This patience will have an end, because God also hears the cries of the faithful (Luke 18:7;  2Pet.2:9). But the expiration of God's patience and mercy, belongs to God (2Thess.1:6,5; Isa.3:11).

If we show long-suffering and hope toward one we love (1Cor.13:4,5,6,7,8,13), this is not the same as sharing in the sin.

God's Word makes clear, that each person as an individual is accountable for their own sins (Eze.18:20; Gen.18:25), and for what they themselves have done (2Cor.5:10; Matt.16:27; Rom.14:10,12; Ecc.3:17).

The love of Christ was righteous. Yet that love was expressed...not by judgment, but by salvation (John 3:17; 8:15; 12:47;  1John 4:14).

We are to be emissaries of that salvation to yet other sinners (2Cor.5:20; 6:1,2; Col.1:20). Soon the time to be reconciled to God will end. We do not take delight in what that will mean for the unrepentant, and we may not want to personally rush the closing of that door, upon anyone. (Matt.18:21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35)

What an innocent mate chooses to do in this situation, is a personal decision, with individual considerations and circumstances; which is why Jesus did not impose his will on someone under such torment (Matt.19:9). He always judged according to the will of God (John 5:30). We can therefore conclude, that it is God's will that each mate have the freedom to choose to forgive, or not.
