The Bible has a symbol, for our settled belief system which directs our thinking and actions. When that faith is sourced in scripture, it is symbolically described by God, at Deut.11:18 --
"Establish these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them *as symbols* on your *hands and bind them on your *foreheads."
From this we see that our symbolic hands (deeds/actions) and forehead (beliefs/faith) would be symbolically marked, by the words and laws of God.

This lesson helps us to understand the meaning of Rev.13:16 --

According to Luke 5:37-39; When people grow accustomed to certain teachings, they don't want something new. They are unable to accept new ideas, unless they are willing to let go of the old way of thinking. -- If our minds and hearts are branded as slaves to the laws of the beast, and we are directed by "666" in our faith and actions, we are slaves to demonic lies (666) through the false prophet and it's beast (1Tim.4:1; Rev.16:13-16; 17:14), rather than the truths of God. How can you share Christs truth, yet knowingly lie about your name?
ReplyDeleteIf you were born and given a name, would you have given that name, to yourself? No. We have no control over the name our parent gives us. If you were a woman, and married as an adult, you may take the name of your husband. That name, is often a name you DO, have control over receiving.
DeleteIf I have a legal married name as an adult (Mark 10:8; 1Cor.6:17; John3:6; 1Pet.1:23), but choose for scriptural reasons (Matt.10:16; 4:5-7), to use the name I was given at my spiritual birth (Matt.22:30; Eph.2:6; Rom.8:9), am I lying about my name? You may believe that my spirit (and the work of God's spirit through me), should be named by my flesh. Jesus does not agree.
Jesus said that he would give the faithful, a new name, known only to the one who received it (Rev.2:17). If that name, happens to be the same one they received from their parents when they were born... are they lying if they use that same name, that Jesus also gives them? Is the name given by Jesus, a lie? Who is the judge over the given name of an angel of God?

Please look up online, the Greek meaning of my given name, which you know.
Then perhaps, you will look up the meaning behind the Greek root word of my father's family name (Doxa), neither name over which, I had any control in receiving at birth.

You ask me: "How can you share Christs truth, yet knowingly lie about your name?"
I ask you: How can you knowingly pass judgement over a person, whom you know was called by Christ to be the final prophet, and yet refuse yourself, to obey Jesus (Mark 8:35)?
How can you accuse God's messenger of lying, when by your silence, you lie to all you know about what you have learned, because you are too much of a coward to give them a chance to live?
