The "Remaining Ones"

I needed to post this forum question here, because the forum of origin did not allow the lengthy response necessary to reply
Here is the question I received:

Let me ask you this question.
Who are the Holy ones who exist on the earth, at the end of the one thousand years of Jesus reign of peace? As they are obviously here on the earth during that time period.
Revelation 20
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Your scriptural reference highlights a gaping hole in the wall of WT doctrine. They teach that the "144000" are taken up to heaven before the Thousand Years begins. Yet scripture makes clear, that they rule with Christ, on the earth. (Rev.5:9,10)
As important as it is to adjust where they rule, it is even more important to discern when the "Thousand Years" takes place, and when they rule with Christ.
Otherwise, the answer to your question is unattainable.
The rule of Christ is not one of peace, but one to subdue his enemies through spiritual war, fought through "Zion". (Ps.110:1-2; Matt.10:34; Rev.6:4; 2:16; 19:11,14; 17:14; 2:26-27; 12:7; Gen.3:15; 2Cor.10:4-5; Rom.13:12; Eph.6:12; etc.)
The release of Satan from the Abyss occurs just following the thousand years (Rev.20:7-8), as does his attack on the holy ones (Rev.20:9), ...which brings about, Armageddon (Rev.20:8; 16:13-16; 17:14).
Peace does not come, until God's Eternal Kingdom, which obviously lasts longer than the symbolic "one thousand years".

My replies to your question might be hard to comprehend,
based upon when you believe the "thousand years" actually take place. Christ's kingdom of a "thousand years" is not the same period as God's eternal Kingdom, which arrives when the objective of Christ's kingdom is attained, and his enemies are subdued through the work of "Zion" (Ps.110:1,2,3; 2:2,3,9; Rev.2:26,27). That goal is interrupted, by Satan's release and the great tribulation it causes. That is when "the last enemy death", must also be "brought to nothing" (1Cor.15:26,24).
In order to understand the answers to your questions, you need to first know when Christ's kingdom starts and ends...when Satan is released, when this war with Gog and Magog occurs, and when (and how) "fire" comes down "from heaven" to "devour them".
With that foundation already laid
(which you can do if you search these subjects within what I have already written);
The Holy ones who exist on earth during Satan's release,
and the war that he gathers Gog and Magog to fight in (Rev.20:8)
(who also represent the kings of the earth -Rev.16:13,14,15,16) Armageddon.
Of course we know the WT teaches that there are two different wars in which Satan is judged...
(1.Armageddon 2.After a literal thousand years of paradise which arrive, after Armageddon)
...but this is a lie.
There is one Great Day of God the Almighty,
and His judgment in the "valley of the decision" (Megiddo),
is final (Rom.9:28).
At that point, the "thousand years" are over, Satan's world has ended, and God's eternal kingdom
(which will be given to Christ and his sealed "144,000", joined by the great crowd),
begins (1Cor.15:24,25,26,27,28).
These inherit God's Kingdom, after proving faithful with "a little" during Christ's Thousand Year kingdom plus the great tribulation (Luke 16:10; Matt.25:21; Luke 19:17; Rev.5:10).

Those present on earth during the period of your questioning, are symbolized by "the remaining ones of the woman's seed" and "the great crowd" (Rev.7:9,14; 12:17; Gen.3:15), and the "two witnesses" of Rev.11:3-4 (John 8:17; Matt.17:3) (Zech.4:9,11,14; Rev.11:3-4)
and Zechariah, chapter 4 (clink on- Zech.4)...also described as the "capstone" (last stone added) of God's spiritual Temple priesthood (1Pet.2:5,9; 1Cor.3:16; John2:19; 4:24; Eph.2:6).

Revelation is full of symbolic illustration. What most readers of it don't grasp, is that each illustration often repeats the same events and identities, in various ways.
The "two witnesses" are also the "great crowd", who come through the Great Tribulation and Armageddon. They are "in white robes" because they were killed for their part in Armageddon (Rev.6:9,10,11; Rev.19:14,8). They most certainly are priests ("serving God day and night in his Temple", which only priests are permitted to do. -2Chron.23:6; Rev.7:13,14,15).

You ask a question that requires much information if you are to see the full picture.... due to the WT and it's teachings of demons (Rev.16:13,14,15; 12:15; 13:11,15; 19:20). The spiritual battle of Armageddon is necessary because of they and their lying doctrines,
in order to clarify the truth from the lies, as well as to distinguish those who side with each side, bringing the "harvest", to a conclusion (Mal.3:18; Rev.14:16,19).

The opposing sides are lead by Satan (who is then, released) and consists of his "false prophet" leader and it's muscle... the "wild beast".
The opposing side is lead by Christ (who is in the role of Champion for God's supremacy, "Michael") and his "armies of heaven"/sealed and "martyred" anointed messengers of truth (Greek- "angels") (Rev.19:11,14,8; 17:14; 12:7,11; Eph.2:6; 6:12; 2Cor.10:4,5; Rev.1:16,20,5,6).
(Note: You can be "killed" and martyred within Revelation's symbolism, without being physically dead.) (symbolic-death-by-means-of-world)

I welcome any questions you have that may remain. I have a contact form on the right column of this Main Page. This would assure that you reach me, as I do not visit any of the other forums often.

I have written a good amount just recently, on these very subjects of,
the two witnesses
the great crowd
the thousand years
the camp of the holy ones
fire from heaven
As you can see, grasping a complete answer to your question and seeing it clearly,
requires a bit of work on your part also.
If you are willing to do it, I believe a full answer awaits you. For any need remaining, please use the contact form.
